  1. Perys separates from the group, an axe in tow. He recalled a quest that was delegated to him earlier. And figured, now was the best time to go get lumber. There were loads of people occupied, so the fields shouldn't have been too packed. Meaning there was more freedom and opportunity for him to gather.

  20. [00:02] At this point, he just wanted all the fighting to stop- especially since Elizabeth came on to the scene. But, it looked like he was gonna have to fight through the whole family...a surge of mana bursts forth from his body as the flames increase in intensity, threatening to lash out at the plants around him. "At this point..I'd be kind of a dickhead if I accepted the coin. Keep it, if it'll help find your son a prosthetic."

  22. Usually, Caesar would be all smiles, but he understood the severity of the situation. Much like Shinji, he was simply fighting for the honor of a family member, and given just how bad Akira's injury was, he could understand this. "Lascia che il destino deiciti il vincitore.."

  24. Bowing down to Kirai, he immediately shifts into his fighting stance, weaving through a variety of hand seals at blinding speeds, as several massive spheres of flames erupt from his mouth. "Tecnica: Palla di fuoco!"

  28. [00:02] Flint sighs as another member of this family rushes out to fight Caesar. Caesar wins again, this time by a much closer margin. IT obviously wasn't going good - and Flint really didn't know how to stop it. They were stronger then he was and they weren't listening to his authority.

  30. He gazed towards the older man as he walks out to the field. Flint examines him a tinge of respect - This man was obviously strong. He seemed like a true warrior. Flint knew he would have no chance against him, but he had to try to stop this.

  32. "I understand your anger, Sir. I can understand that you want to do something - But Caesar is tired from four battles with strong magi. He didn't start this exchange - Your children did. You even acknowledged that. He pauses for a moment and shrugs "I won't be able to stop. I'm just not that strong, to be honest.

  34. He pauses for a moment before speaking again

  36. "Give him time to rest. Solve thismatter at another time - a honor duel. Don't beat a tired man down just for defending himself. If you injure or kill him here - Then it won't just be me trying to throw you in jail. It'll be the stronger Constables."

  40. [00:02] Soma lei Duran says, "This will be a fair fight- and no foul play- I have no idea what you did that led to that young boys leg to be torn off- but during this fight you should restrain from doing that."

  42. [00:06] Mathias watched on with deep growing interest. He had watched the Kurokaiyo Clan fight and utilize magic in many of their battles. Each fighter having impressed him thus far with their ability on the field. But the true thing that caught Mathias eye? Was the way Kirai had moved. The man formed into a dark mist, and re-appeared by the boy, whom now had been led off the field and tended to, his twin brother falling just as swiftly as he did, minus the permanent injury.

  44. Still, the Dojo-leader utilized a form of Martial arts that Mathias rarely seen, but was keenly interested in. He was a deep practitioner of the Iron Fist, utilizing martial arts and brawling in most of his battles, his magic, if you'd call it that, an amplification of his strength. He had nothing showy, no fire, no water, no wind, no earth.

  46. Still, the advanced, relaxed state he took when fighting truly picked Mathias' interest. He hadn't taken the time to visit their Dojo, but he wasmuch more keen on it now. Perhaps they could help him study further in their ways? To advance and improve himself beyond what he knew.

  48. Drawing a deep breath he watched, feeling the violence escalating before his eyes- he was unsure if he should step in to help the city watch or not. He didn't want any more maiming's, that was for sure yet agree'd with the reasoning Kirai should have the ability to regain his clan's honor.

  50. "I say let them fight, but let's keep the maiming out of it." He commented, hoping his words would not fall on deaf ears, should they proceed. But the crowd was growing loud and rowdy.

  57. [00:08] An opposing hand lifts up to wipe away whatever liquid began to drip from their eyeballs. Afterall the stoic youth shouldn't be seen crying. It was weakness and if Akira saw such a thing, then he would no doubt feel even worse about the situation or so is what Ai believed. Teeth grind as the greenbean struggles to find balance, control. To center their anger and steel themselves. All this rage, this hatred, this anger, this animosity was meant to be unleashed upon Kirai.

  61. Ai was no white knight... But maybe... For Akira they should have been. A hand reaches out to grip tightly onto the injured lad's own for a moment.

  63. "Do not apologize. You did well cousin. You did well. Your..." Ai trails off for a moment, who was someone whose approval was immensely hard to achieve, one who wasn't easily impressed.

  65. "I am proud of you..." Genuine words are said at this very moment, soothing, caring words as means of perhaps easing Akira's pain. To let him know it was alright and that his most distant cousin was still here for him, in the beginning and in the end.

  67. Ai kept their eyes locked upon Akira's own. Not daring to look at the lost leg. It wasn't something they were used to.

  71. [00:08] There used to be a whole line of people on the flamer's side. Pretty soon after the guards stepped in, that line broke. There was a strong difference between handling Sudbury matters in-house and stepping on the Watch's toes. Out here, a fight might lose you some money, some clothes, some dignity, but most people would let you recover. No one wanted corpses, not in the town.

  73. The Watch meant jail, and jail meant getting noticed by those up top. Cyv wasn't about to risk getting thrown in a cold jail cell over some guy he didn't know. Getting sick in some decrepit dungeon now would put him under for weeks, maybe months, and there was no guarantee that he would ever recover.

[00:09] The young adult was towering as he stood there, his arms folded, he had walked passed this large gathering multiple times and now taking an interest, he had wondered, What the hell was exactly going on right now? And why was it happening here? It wasn't adding up, he'd glance over, spotting his brother Talon, a smirk would appear on his face as he shook his head.

  81. Odiseas had turned over, recognizing Elizabeth Wayne, he didn't say anything to her, only giving her a slight smile. Odiseas was usually the first to socialize, but here? right now? He knew that was futile, too much people, the best case scenario was to just observe.

  85. Odiseas unfolded his arms, shoving his hands into his pockets as his eyes darted from left to right, he tried to decipher the situation the best he could.

  93. Right. The ones that rarely showed up in the slums.

  95. Soren places his book away and makes his way to the center of the heated conflict, waves of water magi now swirling around his feet. It isn't until Caesar prepares to launch his offensive that the wave rookie makes an effort so unsheathe his segmented fishing rod and swirl it around.

  97. "Caesar - this isn't how things should be done."
  98.  
  99. As the sectioned rod clicks into place, another surge of water magic erupts from it, sweeping in a circular motion. Things had gotten out of control long ago, and it was probably his fault for not intervening sooner.
  100.  
  101. A mighty slash is made in front of his tiny frame, and from it comes a wave of water with the intent to intercept Caesar's heated assault and create a wall of steam in the center of the battle field.
  102.  
  103. "Neither of you are in the right here. Kirai Kurokaiyo - you should have withdrawn your family after the first bout. Caes', you have to learn restraint." He flicks the long rod once more, aiming to command both of their attention.
  104.  
  105. "You can have your duel for honor here and now. But if I see any intent to seriously harm the other, I'll.." He's shaking a bit. Despite his mounting experience, he's never gone toe to toe with magi of their caliber. Much less both of them.
  106.  
  107. "I'll restrain you both and take you in. This is your... warning!"
  108.  
  109. And so he takes a step back, heart pounding out of his chest. He could only hope that the fire magi wouldn't go too far.

  124. [00:14] scratched his head ae pivoted off his heel making his way closer towards the scene. It was evident from his puzzle facial expression the battle was idiotic, but exciting to watch.

  136. [00:14] Mathias Adimaros says, "Caesar burned the Dojo leader's son's leg off.."
  137. [00:14] Flint Westman says, "He beat four challengers and this is the fifth one."

  139. [00:14] Donny says, "Caesar... Bring your guard up during that whatever it is."

  143. [00:15] Melody says, "Oh shut up. This all could have been prevented."

  152. [00:16] I still was in disbelief at what had occurred just a few moments ago, but despite that I was able to pull myself together enough to finish the task at hand, and that was continue my lesson in the hopes of soon becoming a medic myself.

  154. "Well not that we've stopped the blessing we have to clean the small wounds that remain and dress it using some ointment. And I have just the trick. It should work just fine in theory."

  156. From my person I'd remove a small container that contained a mysterious green concoction that would begin to fizz as I popped the top from it and afterwards I'd take a spare cloth from my bag and douse it with the liquid.

  158. "Lust potions typically contain enough alcohol in them to act as a strong disinfectant for wounds like this. It might cause him a little pain depending on how well the numbing medicine worked, but it will definitely clean out any bacteria that might have entered the leg."

  160. I'd quickly get to work and begin dousing his stump with the liquid and all the tissue around it as Yami used his time magic to try to undo some of the physical damage the leg had sustained and from the looks of things, it was all working out.

  191. [00:23] Mathias continued to watch the battle Kirai's moves were like nothing he had seen before. The man moved like a shadow, utilizing such speed that after-images were fading in from behind him, his body moving with such swiftness the color of his clothes blurred as he ran past. Mathias hadn't witnessed such strength and speed on the battlefield, tilting his head back in surprise and staring towards Kirai with steel-blue eyes.

He relaxed as the fight began to lead to a conclusion, Caesar was clearly outmatched, even with his more advanced handling of fire magic it was evident he was incapable of maintaining himself when facing Kirai. The Dojo-leader had recovered the honor of his Clan, yes. But unfortunately the injury Akira had suffered would not be undone. If Mathias knew anything in life, it was that this wasn't over.

  195. Even if the crowd split after the battle, and the fighters went their separate ways- bad blood was now between them. And people's interests had peaked on individuals. The politics of Sudbury and the surrounding area would certainly be affected by these events. Osron has been in a wild state as of late.

  197. "Seems he has regained his Clan's honor." He said, giving an approving nod. He wasn't sure what this would lead to yet.

  201. [00:23] It was clear that, even though this was a close fought battle, Caesar was outmatched. The older man just had more experience over him, and had an incredibly difficult fighting style that took time for Caesar to get used too. But by then, it was too late. He collapses to his knees, his flames dying out. "Shit..do your worse, man..." Caesar pounds his fist to the ground, clearly angered with himself.

  207. [00:23] Yami kneels and then looks at his brothers leg. Why a lust potion? He wondered if that had any side effects when dropped on the skin. Was it really Alcohol? He would have to do some research on his own.

  209. The boy folded his arms and then leaned forward to poke his brother in the head.

  218. [00:25] Flint watches the battle with a tense expression on his face. Caesar is clearly outmatched, but he tries his best. IT seems like he's almost got a handle on the Dojo Masters style - but then, bam. He was down and out of it. His magic was sputtering out and he was on his knees.

  220. Flint took a step forward and gazed towards the Dojo master. He hoped he wouldn't try to finish him off or kill him. It would be a shame to have this go on any further. He began to speak in a serious voice

  222. "You've won. You've regained your honor. Don't make any mistakes, now."
  223.  
  224. He then awaits a reply and watches the Dojo master to see what he was going to do. He hoped and prayed to the stars that he wouldn't try to kill Ceasar - Flint didn't think he'd be able to stop him. The knight might be able to though, lets hope.

  229. [00:26] Watching as Caesar fell fighting the veritable Kirai Kurokaiyo after defeating the man's entire family, the adrenaline that went through the Felinae's body was now sickening. Especially melded with the fact he had ment to sleep far earlier, but was fascinated by what was occurring within the slums.

  231. Thusly he stepped up next to the watchmen, the usual cat-like tail just drooped. Even he did not know of his chances, but one wouldn't abandon their friends. Even if the odds looked insurmountable, just as he joined in during the riot uncaring of his odds.

  233. He was more than ready too, to join in upon this riot uncaring of the odds.

  237. [00:26] Having walked up to the fight with no clue what was going on, though needing to clear his head a rumble in the slums seemed like just the thing to set his nerves at ease.

  239. Rubbing the back of his head some and looking to this all play out with an odd sense of intrigue.

  241. Not knowing what was transpiring much, but enjoying the fierce bout of fisticuffs there seemed to be an odd amount of tension about it too, Eying carefully, the teen's foot would tap on the soil some, as his hands were now rested in his pockets and the events unfolded before the slum's eyes.

  245. [00:26] Melody didn't think that Caesar would beat the clan leader, though she was still disappointed to see him lose. The battle theme came to an end, and the bard plucked out the victory fanfare for Kirai. She was frustrated, though she felt as though she was in no place to complain. One combatant lost his leg, and Caesar might lose his life.

  247. The whole state of affairs was just so annoying, Melody couldn't stand to be holding her instrument while she was in such a rotten mood. She tucked her harp away and crossed her arms, watching to see what would come next.

  251. [00:27] The young boy, Vincenzo Dillinger, watched in wary as the fight between Caesar and Kirai took place. A fight of fist to fist, fire against trickey itself- That very man had freaking afterimages of himself as he walked, what kind of fighting style even is this?!

  253. Soon enough though, the fight slowly came to his conclusion. Each bout, Kirai managed to power through the flames, dazzling and confusing the afro-haired man, and bringing him down to the ground.
  254. Each time, Caesar stood up, only to get knocked right back down again- Until finally, there was no more wind, no more fuel left to burn inside of his body. That dojo master was no joke, that is to be certain... How did Naki even defeat that guy?!
  255.  
  256. Now, all the young boy can do is to stand among the rest. Worrying about what this man would do to Caesar.

  258. Sometimes, the most agonizing thing? Is having to wait for whatever dreadful resolution might end up, right infront of you.

  262. [00:27] The Acolyte could not see what was going on despite her best efforts. However, judging by the crowds and the sudden shout from Caesar the girl grew a worried look.

  264. With her hands still grasping each other she'd silently begin to pray. Wishing for the best and doing everything she could not to expect the worst.

  268. [00:28] There's really not much that can be said on the matter. He'd seen Caesar, and he'd seen Kirai. Only one, though, he'd ever seen in an actual bout, and he held up better than he could've ever imagined. An elbow nudges into Robin, as if to make sure he'd seen what Fors had saw - not a battle, but a slaughter, the dismantling of the one who'd accomplished so much.

  270. For the slums, this wasn't much a rarity. The attention dragged to it, though, was another matter, and he felt the pot beginning to slowly boil over.

  276. [00:29] Odiseas sighed as he looked around, he thought that this shit was poppin....It dead wasn't.

  278. "Man with the afro got his head lined up with dark magic."

  280. Odiseas was feeling heavy, so he had to toss a roast out there.

  284. [00:29] Caesar Fantasia says, "<Shit, man..I haven't even gotten my first kiss yet..I can't die here..>"
  285. [00:29] Talon Manjigera asks, "Dark magic...?"
  286. [00:29] Talon Manjigera says, "Perhaps he was lined up with the forbidden magic.."
  287. [00:29] Talon Manjigera says, "Bless his heart."
  288. [00:29] Kirai moved with a deliberate slowness throughout the fight. He saw no need to rush or be incredibly agressive. No, instead he used his mastery over illusion magic to discombobulate the younger man and make it difficult for him to land those insanely dangerous fireballs that had downed each and every one of his children thus far.

  290. Whenever Caesar would flail blindly? Kirai would surge forth and strike, with a savage kick or uppercut. Each time he dealt a blow, he'd send another wave of the inky black water that his fighting style used as a medium to blind him and unleash a series of blows, before again backing off and allowing Caesar to flail about helplessly.

  292. He didn't just make a point of defeating the young man, he made a point of making him feel powerless. Made a point of controlling every aspect of that battle, down to the very last moment when he'd give Caesar the false hope that maybe, just maybe, he could claim victory.
  293.  
  294. That was all an illusion.
  295.  
  296. When Caesar finally fell to his knees, Kirai looked down at the man and began to approach him, not even certain what he intended to do with him... And then? Flint stood up.

  298. Kirai's eyes shifted to the town guard.

  302. [00:29] "I- I shouldn't have even did anything..." Akira was slowly coming to, meaning that he was back to his normal state. He wasn't proud of his actions and he wasn't happy about what has spawned from him not reading the environment. "I didn't know what was going on. I only assumed that this was all in good fun."

  304. "I only got so mad because I thought he was bullying her. It was in considerate and dumb." He sighs.
  305.  
  306. Just before he could begin speaking again he'd experience sharp pains as the two medics, one being his twin brother began to work their magic. Wounds being repaired, alcohol being applied! This actually hurt bad! He'd have to be silent for while.

"Making more friends will be difficult now that this happened."

  371. And as Flint, Donny, and Soma approached, so did Soren. Somehow. Even with his gut clenching itself. He had made an oath to try and uphold Justice to Drake - or at the very least try to keep the peace.

  417. A lucid moment came over him. Frustration gave way to horror. This whole town was completely focused on fighting. Enveloped by it. Motivated by it. All anyone wanted to do was watch and learn. There'd be kids joining the dojos in droves now, or trying to strengthen themselves enough to do exactly what they'd seen Caesar do. Some wouldn't care about fighting, aye, but they'd be inspired to follow battles to heal the injured or build equipment for the fighters.

Kirai seemed to be the real deal, and as I watched as he quickly dominated the fight between him and the man that bested his children, I could only imagine what had happened during his encounter with someone else I cared about. But it wasn't my place to even speak on that matter. Thus I'd focus on what was going on now.

  494. He would stare at the man. It would seem that the dojo was owned by this man before him. It is quite fearful what he may be about to do. Understandably, he understood his discontent and anguish. Not only was his clan disgraced, but his family injured.

  496. But this was not the way to fix this. Not at all. If need be, and he continues this action. The male would be more than ready to interject if the situation spirals out of control. Slowly awaiting for what the situation will play out to be.

  506. He seemed unreasonably calm, given the situation. Where he should have been shouting, demanding they clear the way? He just looked on at them without any evident malice.

  508. "Clear my way, and this all ends here. I leave him with nothing worse than a memory, and turn myself in. Insist on standing in my way, and I will ensure none of you ever stand again, at least, not any time soon."

  510. The air seemed to be growing thicker by the moment as Kirai's inner turmoil festered, the undertides of emotion beneath that dead calm exterior becoming riptides that threatened to drag him under.

  554. He speaks with a weak smile. The road toward repairing himself, was quite difficult to say the least. But this? It was a beginning. The ability to ignore the confrontation aside him, and focus on good deeds. It showed his growth toward removing his own bashful, and self-harming nature.

Each and every day, Tyr knew not of where he would find to stay for the nights, and it's a restless thing when you had to sleep in the back alleys of Sudsbury. Tyr is young, but he is growing now, and with that, adulthood still had to come, even if he didn't have much to work with. He was constantly working and striving for something better, and he was stopping at nothing to it.

  785. His eyes scan the people for familiar faces, hoping it wasn't another Exarch slapdown or another noble conflict. He seemed on edge, overly cautious, maybe even a bit afraid of the attention and the sheer numbers.

He never truly had a problem with the folks down there even if they were of the upper class, at least they actually helped the folks out, and there's proof of that much. He nods his head somewhat now, pocketing the coin. "Don't got no business with the stars," he said admittedly. "I only just learned recently that I can do magic, too. I heard the stars can lend ya' power, but.. it ain't me. Got nothing ta' do with it. It's good you might though." He tells him.

  794. Maybe somewhere down the line he'd care enough about that, but that wasn't today. The highs of being a mage was quickly starting to die down now that he was running into so many other people that had these powers lately.

  802. I myself was technically a part of The Watch now and being as such it was my job to intervene and assist with diffusing the situation too, but I needed to make sure that Akira was okay, and possibly Aiya too.

The only thing he can do now is just learn more spells on his spare time and figure out some odd way to contort them in weird fashions, though that isn't progress at all.

Mathias was hoping the man would step back, not wishing to take sides on the matter. The duel had come to an end and a chance at conclusion came. But as time had passed more people came and went, joining and leaving the crowd or tending to the wounded.

  914. Mathias liked both what the law tried to do in keeping the peace, but held a level of respect of Kirai and understood in his mind why he would seek revenge. Still, he waited with folded arms, he entire matter was too interesting and being nosy like most others, he remained. He noticed his new employee head off with her sibling in tow. He'd figure he'd find her later and set her to work.

He'd stood and watched that for some time before setting his eyes on the msk that the sewerboy wore upon his face. He found it beyond his comprehension. Was it simpler magics or perhaps something more? His lizard brain couldn't help but inch closer. And as the other teen stared at the fights, Mahteru stared at him.

  994. Though eventually, he found himself moving along and over with the hope of investigating things more personally. Mahteru was a simple boy in what he assumed was a simple world. Though as he focused on questioning things, he was spotted and offered words. Without much thinking to offer much of anything, he spoke his mind.

  1022. [01:15] Kirai's pace was picking up just as the pouring rain was. That inky black downpour enough to blind a man who wasn't prepared for it. Again, he used his trademark illusions to manipulate his enemy, to control the fight.

  1026. Throughout the fight Kirai could be heard saying something under his breath, something quiet enough only Soma could hear. Every time he'd draw close, to deal a blow he'd lean in and whisper. "Blink...." Then the next time. "Breathe..." And finally, as the fight ended and the illusiory rain falling on the battle field grows more intense he'd say, loud enough for the others to hear. "Suffocate."

  1028. The words would have been infused with his magic, his mastery over illusion. And with each one spoken, Soma was drawn into the spell. As that last word is delivered, the spell is completed, a wretched hypnosis.

  1032. Indeed, Soma would find no matter how he gasped for breath, it wouldn't be satisfying. He'd find a burning in his chest that lingers despite his best efforts, and every small exertion would leave him winded. It was of course, all a trick of the mind and something he could overcome, in time. But for the moment?

  1034. For the moment, Soma felt as if he was suffocating.

  1036. Then, turning away from the knight no doubt left gasping so desperately for air, he'd set his eyes upon the town guards.

She gazed at the fighters, watching them compete against each other while she pulled out her brush and brushed her hair, figured she needed some touch-up and she could watch the fight at the same time as well.

Flint unleashes blade after blade of wind in a attempt to defeat him as fast as possible in order to get to the real threat.

  1066. He doesn't even say a word, only a true, grim faced attempt at a battle. His attacks are brutal - not meant to kill, but definitely meant to hurt. WIll he win? Perhaps. Perhaps not. You could never tell with these times of things.

  1092. Nodding and swallowing that feeling, he still stood his ground waiting on an opportune moment while holding his axe, awaiting his turn for better or worse. Then Recka charged to the front and met Flint, beginning yet another battle.

  1103. Next came the second match-- in a series of scuffles to save Caesar from feeling Kirai's wrath, Reika versus one of the Guardsmen.

[01:24] Mathias observed each fight with pure focus, his eyes unwavering on the field as Kirai had moved with swiftness yet unseen, and still he hadn't likely shown full strength, Mathias thought. Above him the black ichor-like substance that fell around Kirai and his opponents soon spread to pour over them. Mathias removed a small cloth blanket from his pack, covering his head and draping it over his bag, hoping to give himself some type of cover.

  1111. He'd watch more people crowd in now as the fighting intensified, the city watch involving themselves into the fight, alongside a Knight. The Knight faced Kirai first, and to Mathias' surprise the man had lost, the Dojo-Master besting him in battle as swiftly as he did Caesar, or so it seemed.

  1113. The man that joined Kirai on the field took to facing Flint, the watchmen. And Mathias found his eyes darting to them as well. Hesitation was in his mind when it came to involvement, worried about some form of trouble that could rise from his choices, be it with the law or not. He needed to find Simon first and discuss business, he reminded himself. And having recently recovered from an injury in the mines, he didn't want to really risk it.

  1115. He reached back to grasp Theia's hand, making sure she was nearby. "Stick close." He said in a low voice over to her, though it was a bit more audible than that.

  1119. [01:24] Jarin looks back at Cecil then back to observe the current battle. Why exactly were they even fighting? It made no sense to the young mage.

  1123. [01:24] Theia just now realised that maybe these fights were not for the fun of it and for real. She just watched closely, keeping her eyes on Mathias too, not knowing anymore if they were just sparring or not.

  1132. Illusions, soon soma became distorted forced to wave his sword at shadows being casted by the man, he couldn't tell who was losing and who was winning anymore.

  1136. - there was something off during the battle, he was moving around and saying word as he dodged his blows, was he conjuring something? The green light around Durendal was starting to fade.

  1138. He hasn't mastered it just yet, and as he continued to press the attack against the man he felt his breathing had slowed- and when he tried to swing he felt as if he had just ran miles.

  1141. And when he turned to yet again deliver another swing of Durendal he was forced o drop it half way-

  1143. He had fallen to his knees.. and started to gasp for air. Was he dying?

He had to try his hardest - It wasn't his life on the line. It wasn't his own honor on the line. It was his duty on the line.

  1183. He speeds up his wind and speeds it up and speeds it up... he then blast Recka out of the arena with a massive burst of wind. He didn't check if he was injured or not. He then gulped as he saw the knight defeated. He wouldn't win, but damned if he would try.

The sun was setting, and his ability to move in plain sight was increasing-- not that anyone would be looking for or concerned with someone like him in the midst of whatever star performance on the other side of the crowd. With an upturned hood, he moved to get a better view of the battle.

Regardless, he had no response for any of this, his eyes are wide as he looks toward the battle catching glimpses of what seemed like active twisters on the dirt and shadows racing through and around them.

She looks to the large crowd and then to the field where people were fighting. "Oh...? I didn't hear of a tournament..." As she watches the fight, she immediately notes the glaring red energy being ripped out of Flint. It makes her eyes go cold, wide, and immediately puts her on edge. She could feel a certain... Dread coming from the arena as Westman is pummeled by such crude magic. "Did I speak this into existence..."

  1361. [01:39] Her father didn't hold back against those city guards and Aki wasn't even going to try and stop it...even if she tried it wouldn't work he was way to strong but from the looks of it Caesar was going to get what was coming to him.

  1365. She said folding her arms into the sleeves of her kimono and shaking her head from side to side. She knew that after all of this was over they had to scram.

She perched herself under the cloth he had draped over his head, the two of them now viewing the field from under the soon to be soaked cover. Still she nodded, realising it was becoming more serious than she initially realised. The Watch had been involved. "Oh my." She simply said, lifting her left hand to her mouth as the men exchanged blows.

  1377. [01:41] Kirai would endure several blows from Flint, though at least half of them were glancing. In the end, he wouldn't even bother inflicting the same curse on Flint that he had the knight. Though, he would inflict a curse of a sort.

  1381. As he was dealt one. "Breathe..."

  1383. And then, as Flint was defeated. "...Fail."

  1385. He'd let Flint suffer in his own way. Knowing that he'd failed his duty, failed to protect Akira, and failed to protect Caesar. It wasn't a curse, not truly, but it was at least a minor kind of hypnosis.

  1387. With it, he'd ensure Flint didn't forget today any time soon.

  1389. Kirai certainly wouldn't.

  1391. Then, Kirai's gaze moved on to Soren, the next Guard in his path. The next man that would so foolishly test him.

  1393. Kirai would show them, as many times as it took.

  1401. As the Knight and Watchman fall, Soren bursts into action, magi-blade already pouring water. With one swing, a stream of water erupts from its hilt, sailing directly for Kirai.

  1403. He was outmatched. Outclassed. Inexperienced.

  1405. But he was done allowing the people of Sudbury to be stepped on. Even if a knight had already fallen.

  1407. "These are the tides of change. And if I don't stand up to you now, nothing will ever get any better."

  1409. Soren comes to a halt as the wave subsides, preparing to slash upwards at the man's chest. He could only hope that Soma's efforts had worn the titan down some.

  1419. [01:42] It was coming down to the end, the first Watchman in front of him fell, and Soren took his place. Yet another deep breathe, and another exhale.

  1423. The Alchemist still stood waiting, as the final but probably poor line of defense between Kirai and Caesar.

  1427. [01:42] Caesar sighs, heavily. At this point, he was convinced he was cursed. He looks up to Elizabeth for one final moment. If Soren lost, then he'd have to go out with a bang. His gaze ventures over to Lucrecia. "They ain't gonna listen. Nobody cares about words. The slums are being attacked day by day, and nobody cares."

  1431. [01:42] Mathias nodded to Theia and said "Yeah, it looks like they're fighting the Watch and a Knight." He then pointed a finger to Caesar. "That guy beat up his children, and ended up burning the leg off of one." Mathias remembered the gruesome scene in his mind, still fresh in his memory, the boy's screams, the scent of burnt hair and flesh from Caesar's mastery of fire.

  1433. "It's been an intense day to say the least." He continued, adjusting his view slightly to get a better look at what was going on. It seemed Kirai was flooring the guard into the dirt. Even if he wanted to help, he couldn't. And he wasn't so sure he wanted to go to jail, either.

Extremely impressive to say the least as it was a victory claimed through intense magical prowess, or compared to her own knowledge it seemed to be intense.

During the time she waited for another fight to break out, her right foot would tap away into the dirt leaving a small indentation where it landed. It was just as she started to read about some waves with earth, but it could wait since these battles were very neat!

The ichor was slowly dripping through the cloth now from what she saw, and reached into Mathias pack for another, replacing the last with a new one. He was right, it wasn't their business to get involved in the fight that was going on, even if they wanted to improve the state that Sudbury was in. Violent events taking place there would not make their work easier. She remained close by, but had an itch to head to the mines and soon. "We should get going soon, I want to look for ores in the mines." She said, attempting to convince him to head out.

If only he had something to eat to enjoy this on the side, then that'd be nice, but outside of that, this situation devolved from something he saw as dire to just straight scrapping. It was almost laughable how bad they were at handling this, even if they were rookies at their job, and he shakes his head.

  1639. The gap in skill and experience is showcased in a manner that leaves the strawhat rookie wondering if he had made the right decision. Exhausted and pained, the youth is left wide open for the unarmed master's final (and first) real blow.

He didn't even have to take a guess as to what the boy was up to when he saw the sweat in his hands, and the sore way he stood up that he was working earlier, but he did look a bit bothered on something. It made him feel a bit bad that he was slacking off again, but they both worked their fair share enough, and he didn't bother asking him what went wrong.

Though, recalling that there was something he had to tend to, he suddenly makes his departure.

This was the best money he'd ever made in a deal. It almost made it worth knowing he'd sold out to a noble... but to be fair, he didn't much like all the magi orders and their pomp.

  1726. With that, he took on the blade stance of Fomorian the earth giant, and along with that the earth itself decided to come to his aid, protecting him in what little ways it could against the veritable fists of the master of the mountain dojo.

  1728. But the Felinae alchemist knew next to nothing about his opponent's illusion magic, and already knew martial artists were difficult for him.

A wave is sent out, intentional recipient being any and all who'd notice it, and he simply departs.

Once he had to head off though, he waves him a farewell.

  1826. [02:05] Mahteru thought he was ready. But he wasn't. There was no way for him to understand the ramblings of the other young man. While he started off expecting something grandiose, he was swiftly disappointed. He'd really just approached and spoke to a sewer mage who wasn't all right in the head. While he did fold his arms as the first bit of the other guy's words reached his ears, it'd be clear that majority of the words went into one in and out of the other. He would offer the politeness he was raised to have with a simple question.

  1830. Something about Mahteru's tone offered sass. He didn't really understand if he'd followed or not but his skepticism was blatant to say the least. His interest drained with each passing second of the sewer guy's strange motions. Some slight disgust formed with his sight of thecolored 'tighy whiteys' and he'd offer more words.

  1857. [02:09] Mathias had barely noticed that Theia slipped away, only when he turned to say something to her that he did. "Wha-" He let out, a half-breath, noticing Theia had left moments ago. He began to worry and panic. Did she go to the mines alone?! His mind began racing with the possibilities of Theia being in danger.

  1859. He caught his mind for a moment, pausing. It was likely she went home to get a cloak or something thicker to cover herself in the rain, the drizzle turning into a downpour each time Kirai came closer. Mathias was certainly impressed by the displays of power, and in the end watched as Kirai bested the warriors of the watch, and knight in battle. Even Donny, a citizen he once fought and barely lost to, had lost... He knew then he was likely no match for Kirai, not that he even wanted to.

  1861. As it looked like things were concluding, he watched to see if anymore guard or knights came. Perhaps Kirai would get away with inflicting his wound upon Caesar or perhaps it would settle then and there, and the fighting would have him run out of raging emotion.

  1863. He looked around, realizing. "Where the fuck is Simon?" He let out, perplexed.

  1868. [02:11] Nuro taps the tip of their index finger against their hat. Each tap mimics the ticking hand of a clock. It was, inevitably, the countdown to Donny and Kirai's intense match. The final stroke came with Donny's fall.

While he believed he was entirely in his rights to defend himself against crazy teenagers trying to maim him, what was done was done.

  1881. But, Donny's words rung freely in his mind. What type of sick, twisted things would the Dojo master do to his mind now that he was free to do whatever he pleased? It was now or never. After the events of today, Caesar might not be the same person ever again- or even worse, a vegetable.

More importantly, it was an ordeal to analyze. Such power meant grander possibilities. The only thing limiting one-self is their own action or lack off. Thus, the uncanny character pivots on their feet and begins to skip away.

All lining up to stop Kirai and fighting together-- their hardest, to put down one man who overwhelmed them. One. By. One. He was mortified-- and having suffered a crushing defeat in that very field to a martial artist... He could just put himself into each other shoes as they are overwhelmed by someone on an entirely other level.

A small shiver went through the bunny boy's back. He hopped forwards, instead of running from the carnage, he looked towards it, hands covering his face, but fingers spread so he could see through them.

Its mystic nature called to him though as the other boy spoke more and caused the slightest of shifts in Mahteru's perception, he realized something.

  2089. His expression lightened up just a tad bit. While the sewer magician was indeed crazy, he could see that deep down inside, there was some sliver of merit to the actions and the words. So he'd concede and take the sprinkle of magic that was spread through his minds. That didn't really mean that he had much he could offer in the way of words however.

  2093. Mahteru had come from the Surbury. Despite his positive nature, he was sure to avoid inviting the presence of negativity. That was the way of survival for the boy. So as the violence continued to escalate, he continued to move in the other direction. He was alright and so was his ilk.

  2138. This was the result of Asuka's meddling-- Her rancorous upheaval in the Slums. Truthfully-- All she did was attempt to use the pawns here as a playground for her developing illusion magic-- But the spectacle here on what she received was far more entertaining than anything she could've ever imagined.

  2140. It was an absolute bloodbath-- People fighting, rioting, coming close to dying in the streets. The intense aura of devilish power that radiated from her father was enough to line her into respect.

  2146. And just like that-- Seeing as he would force Asuka's attack to immolate himself, Asuka would quietly study his effort of illusion on him-- Reminding her of the simple hypnosis that she preformed on the rabbit, the same one she commanded to drown itself.

  2153. [02:31] Avin turned away from the scenario behind her, not wanting to watch the slum's protector burnt to a crisp. Although secret hoped the situation would escalate, this was too much. She would've left long ago if she wasn't rewarded for watching spectacles like these.

  2157. [02:31] As the smoke cleared from the colossal battle... There seemed to be some serious comeuppance for the afro wielding fire fighter.

  2159. As Kirai would step forwards and cast a mental illusion, there seemed to be a moment where the man full on set himself ablaze.. burning himself into a crisp as the teen and the rest of the slums sat there and watched.

  2161. With shock, and some serious apprehension to all of this the boy would be speechless watching just how horrible messing with a member of the mountain's elite family could be. Ingraining this atrocity into his mind Robin would swallow down hard, with beads of sweat coming down from his forehead...

  2163. "S-stars... " was all he could let out at the gruesome sight.

  2165. Shaken, but feeling some intense curiosity in this light.. he'd most likely go along to see the ow heavily burned boy to an available medic.

  2167. As one in training, he felt that it'd be best to get some more hands on.. though he definitely needed to see if he even had the stomach for it.. with those wounds.

  2171. [02:31] Kirai had seen his clan dishonored and defeated. He had seen them beat down and put in the dirt by a common slum dweller like nothing more than rabid dogs. He couldn't blame them either.

  2175. He'd let them be defeated, in the hopes that they'd learn a lesson. But he'd stood idle too long, and allowed Akira to have something precious taken from him.

  2177. Akira was his and Kirai wasn't the sort to let his things be broken. So, as he watched Caesar burn, as he watched the man's flesh crisp and his hair fade away, Kirai's smile slowly creeped back onto his face.

  2179. But it wasn't the mask of kindness he often wore. It wasn't the smile of a loving father, a kind Soke, or a patient martial artist. No... The smile that spread across his face was a sadistic, twisted grin.
  2180.  
  2181. "Take from me, or mine. And I will take everything that you are."
  2182.  
  2183. These are the words that he'd offer the slums, before he began to walk away. As he did? He said again.
