more accurately from how the branching works anyone can train a large minimum number of options at once - at the start a non VIP can train 4 class and 4 race options and then when they choose to sepcalise they will still be training a minimum of 2 class and 2 race options as well [or they can keep training generally] its about choice and specalisation of alternative 'character slots' - only one of which is typically active at once in the world - swapping a character is not a trivial thing to do with the "crow and vessel" and "crypt" systems nor is it triival to gear up and actively progress multiple character either
