from meeting that magician, soojin ended up acquiring skills which benefitted her in many ways. strategy was one of the main aspects in the art called ‘magic’ and it took jinnie a few (like 10 years) years to fully grasp it. at times, she’d help her other team members sort out a fool-proof plan to help them in important missions. often, she’s praised for her effort and it makes her giddy inside.

with childhood years constantly filled with training, chasoo had learnt and studied about reading someone and checking their actions, motives, behaviour, speech and eye movement. it’s not like it isn’t helpful because she can read when someone’s lying especially when they question hostages and men. but there’s also moments where she can blurt out the most unnecessary information like how long someone’s been in the toilet for, embarrassing secrets from the past and much more.

maybe being in the mafia or being a very great magician would’ve helped her rid of this useless trait of hers but it was no use. when soojin was mad, it was evident with everything she did. she’d pratically make a mess anywhere, burn something occasionally and have a bad habit of uncontrollable swearing. she’s irritated by the simplest things and can simply not hide her emotions.

cha soojin is well not your nicest girl on the block. she is somewhat blunt and says anything which pops in her mind without rendering the consequences of it. she doesn’t care what age or gender you are but she loves sharing her opinions in matters which don’t involve her and her team members get easily irritated when she voices what she thinks. even their own leader can’t control what comes out of her mouth and soojin is one of the hardest members to keep in check.

because of what she experienced in her past, our poor jin finds it extremely painful letting go of someone and mostly saying goodbyes. maybe at one point in her life, she was able to let go without another thought in her head but that day hasn’t come yet. soo will threaten anyone and anything if they dare leave her alone which is why she usually never sleeps alone or dorms alone.

not one time is soojin’s mouth closed and that is unless she’s in an important mission or her members told her to shut up for once in her life. apparently, during her adolescent years she wouldn’t speak a word but that’s unbelievable with the way she yaps on and on and on and on now. it’s not even a habit at this point, it’s full on instinct to get her chatterbox ready for the day.

when cha soojin was 6, her mother had left her on the step of a orphanage as she couldn’t financially support the both of them. her father had left them in a desperate time of need and soo’s mum had to figure out a way to pay back all the debts. at that age, jinnie had grown a slight disliking to men in particular since she thought they would treat her like what happened to her parents.

 of course jin was not ecstatic about the decision but thought it was for the best since she wouldn’t have been held back in education nor with money. the children in the home had treated her nicely and it felt like she hadn’t moved in like two weeks ago. maybe at that time chasoo developed her clingy trait as one by one the orphan kids were adopted by loving parents who offered them a good home.

at 9, a well-known magician had peaked interest in young soojin as she had visited the orphanage to help out and play with all the kids. jin was the one who would always try to lift others spirits and talked a lot for everyone to feel happy. through the few months hyori (the magician) knew the child, the more she felt a maternal love shine through. soo ended up being under hyori’s name and was quick to become her apprentice.

the learning was one thing but practising and studying was another. magic was way more difficult than met the eye and it took her 10 years to finally master it. some of her classmates called her names because of her skills in agriculture but she never thought more of their mere words. she was the popular, talkative student in school so no one really bothered making fun of her. soon, hyori had left soojin to move to another place which would keep her happy whilst ji moved between china and korea. in the end, she settled in china to continue university.

her magic skills were definitely recognised in the large country and received worldwide fame. yet ended up in a mafia, to which most commoners don’t know about.

kun visits soojin’s bakery on the day she’s most disorganised and sleepy. at her job, she has to serve kun but ends up dozing off mid talk. she gets startled as kun laughs at her and blood rushes to her face. soo tries her best not to stutter as she tries to run back to the cash machine. at the end of the day, jin tried to keep a blank face (TRIES) so the hot customer would see she wasn’t affected.

soojin had ended up joining the mafia because people had told her not to waste her precious talent and let it be used to its fullest. as well as that, jin just felt nothing is going in her life so why not have something which will give more meaning in her dull moments.

at times, soo had thought of leaving the team and sometimes betraying because of the hardships and always being wanted to be killed by other people. in all honesty, she was scared to die and wished at times to have her old life back.

to be honest, no. soojin wouldn’t sacrifice her life for anyone in black spade because everyone knew what they were going to do so they would’ve at least expected they’d be killed or tried to be once or more in the job. the girls knew what they were giving up. jin would also kill any of her members (but not kill herself) if it meant that it was very important and the girl about to die gave consent. a job’s a job no matter how close someone is to you. she isn’t heartless, it’s just the way of her work.

soo has considered this one too many times. she would want to fall in love because of the longing of a partner and emptiness in her life. but she doesn’t want to end up like her real mother is that’s why she has a bit of fear in her.
