“Okay… Everyone alright?”
>Zecora dusts herself off, looking a bit roughed up but otherwise fine.
>”I am fine, but you look like you need some attention, my friend.”
>You felt pretty shitty, you had to admit.
>You look at the knocked out crocodile as the party rests from the battle, trying not to be a pussy by crying at your wounds.

“Red, can you help me out with patching us up real quick?”
>”Sure, hon.”

“Can we patch up the croc, too?”
>The entire party looks at you like you had just snorted cocaine.
>Berry certainly became vocal.
>”Are you serious right now? Look at what that thing did to you guys! You want to patch it up? Just leave it like it is, it’s lucky we didn’t kill the pest!”
>Redheart and Zecora both nod, needing not say anymore.

“...Well, I can’t just stand by and leave it like this. We probably just wandered into the poor thing’s home.”
>You had a thought.
>You still wanted to help the fellow, but you just realized you might’ve gotten your head bitten off if you didn’t think ahead.
>You remove the duct tape from your bag, and you do a few careful swipes around the croc’s muzzle, making sure it was nice and tight.
>You take out your last medkit and begin to patch it up, giving it a rub and soothing words as you did so.
“It’s alright, baby, you’ll be fine…”

>The crocodile instantly tries to snap at you despite the kind words, but it can’t seem to open those pearly whites.

>The party looks at you, very concerned for your well being.

>While you were trying to think about what to do, you saw an orange and pink group in the distance coming back to you, presumably AJ and Ponk.
>What do you do? If you release the crocodile now, it’s probably going to fuck you up.



“Zecora, do you have any sort of sticky substance we could put on some leaves to cover the Croc’s eyes with?”
>She starts looking through her pack, and when she finds what she’s looking for, she takes a couple leaves off a nearby bush.
>”You should not be going through this trouble, Anonymous. We should have ended its life instead of you making such a fuss.”
>Nevertheless, she hands you the sticky leaves, which you use to cover its eyes, when AJ and Pinkie finally come back and rejoin the party.
>”What in tarnation happened to you and Zecora, Anon? ...And why are you manhandling a patchy cragidile?”
“I couldn’t just kill it!”
>Slowly but surely, the Croc-- Cragidile seemed to calm down over time, thankfully aided by your knowledge gained by Fluttershy earlier.
>Pinkie was looking at you like you just did an amazing rock ballad as you stand up with a receding, patchy reptile.
>”Wowie zowie, Anon… You were just like Flutters when you did that, that was so cool!”
>Redheart actually agreed with Pinkie for once.
>”I must say, Anon, the way you handled that croc was… impressive.”
>She gave you a genuinely love-filled smile, along with her eyes shimmering.

“Alright, now that that’s over, we’re pretty close to the Dragon’s mountain or whatever, and we got all the weeds we need.”
>Zecora begins leading the way without need for any go-aheads.
>”We must be fast, for Celestia’s sun and Luna’s moon will soon pass.”
>The party begins to follow Zecora.

“By the way Zecora, did you manage to find any herbs for that sleeping dart recipe?”
>She shakes her head after a moment.
>”I’m afraid in the moment of training you and the battle, I had forgotten. We are out of time to do so at the moment, but if we find the embers quickly, perhaps I can scavenge the necessary ingredients on the way to the Manticore.”
“Alright, that sounds fair.”
>You subtly urge the party to make haste so you could have some extra time to do what you needed to do.
>The party eventually makes it to the edge of the forest, finding a huge ridge filled with nothing but dust and rocks.
>At the left end of the ridge is a large cavern with something illuminating the end.
>On the right end is your objective, Dragon’s Mountain.
>Your party began to naturally lean to the right, ready to make the journey.

“...What is that?”
>Everypony looks where you were looking, taking a moment to find it.
>Nopony even knows what it is, not even Zecora.
>”I have been out here many times, but never have I seen such a cave before. … No matter, we must make our way to the mountain.”
“I really want to check it out, though.”
>Redheart looks at you intensely.
>“We have more pressing matters, Anonymous. You know I wouldn’t leave you, but we really need to get to that mountain.”
>That meant that if you went, the party would continue on without you, but Redheart would stay.
>There would be no guarantee you’d be able to catch up to them because of the large range of the ridge.

“I really need to see what’s down there. I feel like it could be really important, maybe even to what’s been happening with Bane.”
>Redheart facehoofs.
>”You’re still gonna call it that, huh? ...Alright.”
“Hey, how about this, guys? We’ll take an hour to do what we need to do, then meet right back here when the hour’s up. If someone isn’t here at that time, then something probably happened to them.”
>The party looks at each other in concern but agreement, AJ speaking for them.
>”Alright Anon, we’ll go get that ember, and you can check out the uuh, cave. If it means that much to ya, then darned if we’re gonna stop ya. One hour now, ya hear?”
>Pinkie nods, and dashes to you, hugging your legs very tightly.
>”You better be okay Nonny! You too Red, don’t do anything a dummyhead would do! … Kay?.. Bye!”
>You wave as the rest of the party starts down the right path.

>Red stands with you, giving you a little rub on your waist.

>You and Red are alone once again, beginning down the left path and descending into the ridge, the temperature seeming to increase as you lower into the desert-like area.

>As you’re walking through the dusty sands billowing around you with coarse, luke-warm winds that parch your throat the minute you take a breath, you come to the conclusion that it was really hot down here.
>You think it’s a good time to take advantage of it.
“Man, is it hot out here, or is it just you?”
>Redheart makes a bashful giggle, then nuzzles you.
>”Don’t tell me you just wanted to get alone with me, Anon. I don’t know if my heart could take it.”
“Your heart’s already red, probably.”
>She laughs out loud, and you stop for a second to give her a deep, passionate kiss.
>It was very intense.
>When you break apart from each other, she wasn’t laughing anymore.
>”...Wow.”
>You smile at her, and she smiles back.
>Getting up, the two of you keep walking towards the cave, taking forever to even see it get closer.
“By the way, when we get there we should probably be armed and sneak in, just in case something’s guarding their shiny little precious.”
>”Yeah, that’s a good idea.”
“And uuh… So, we should work on our, uh... ‘technique’ together, don't you think? Really get ‘close’ and ‘in sync’ so all of our thrusting is having the ‘results’ we want, wouldn't you agree?”
>Redheart playfully pushes you to the side while chuckling.
>That’s when something catches your foot, and before you even realize it, you were getting a face-full of sand and there was a throbbing pain in your ankle.

>You nod and give her a light, careful hug, before you both stand and get your gear together, cleaning off and what not.
>Then you had another thought, but you weren’t sure how Redheart would take it after slaughtering two intelligent gem-obsessed dogs.
>You decided it could be useful to your current objective, and hope that she would understand.
>You begin to pick up gems that they had thrown from before, and loot the pockets of the dead dogs.

“They’re not going to need them anymore, right? And we’ll need to buy supplies here soon, so we just take what we need.
