- Kismet's Plumbing
- By the Collapsar
- The rat is adrift
- Through the currents of a murky stream
- Along the path of an enclosed metal corridor
- Sliding under the pitch black darkness
- It does not know how it got there
- It does not know where it is
- It's only concerned of where it is going
- even if darkness blinds its way
- The rat is swimming
- As the stream pulls it faster towards a fork in the corridor
- the right path leading to darkness, while the left leading to a light
- does it go left in hopes it is freedom's light?
- or does it go right, thinking the light is flames of scalding water
- or a path leading it down a waterfall outside
- if the path is wrong does it use its energy to desperately try to swim back?
- or does it accept its path and continue to endure?
- The rat is drowning
- As the stream grows deeper pulling the rat under
- does it have the energy to keep its head above the water?
- does it have the endurance the keep its breath held much longer?
- or will it convserve its energy and let the currents carry it further
- and hope the currents becomes shallow once more?
- And if it reaches the end of the corridor, will its destination be what it wanted?
- or will it go back, adrift in the stream once more for the thrill or go for a new destination?
