My perfect world
Flickered when  I saw it
Shattered! When I touched it
For it was just a house of cards
After all.

Early on it really struck a glimmer in my eyes,
Covering my visions with its many perfect dyes
Oh! Swells of colour! Torrents rise
Of perfumed pictures, green and purple paradise.
It is indeed surreal, the many things I feel
They kick away the Earth my world defies.

Images I’ve tasted, never seen
Ladled to my eyes
From a perfect tureen.

But, alas! my perfect world is gone
For some they’d have to lose a life of porn
For others they’d just lose their tennis court
But me? I lost my gift, creative thought.
I saw the Earth, my world had no connection
My perfect world was crafted for perfection
Not reality.
