- I am a student at Northeastern University, however, I currently live at home with my parents. Today at around 10:45PM I was heading home from Northeastern University. I saw an outbound 39 bus on Huntington Avenue so I positioned myself at the stop of Huntington Avenue and Parker Street so that the bus driver would see me and stop to pick me up.
- This, however, did not happen. Instead, the bus driver only slowed down slightly because the stop was right before an intersection, during the slowdown, the bus driver locked eyes with me and continued going. Frankly, I am appalled at this service from the MBTA. I rely on the MBTA to get to and from work and classes every single day and there is not a day where the service lacks in some way. Some days, the Inbound Green D line from Elliot station is taking a long time to show up, other days I have to wait 3 or sometimes up to FIVE packed Outbound Green D Line trains at Hynes convention center before I am able to force myself into the train so I can finally go home after waiting for 40 minutes in the station. But this incident astounded me so much that I HAD to report it. I really wish that the MBTA would start cracking down on drivers like these that don't care about the riders that they are paid to service.
