Murder Reaction Stuff:

Mack - RIGHTEOUSLY PISSED.  Mogo Nobo, the older Zoove who helped Castor augment his gun, was an acquaintance of his for many years.  The older Zoove had initially answered to the call of the King some 20 years ago, but left shortly afterwards (when you still could).  He never spoke of why he left, but found company amongst the other races and proved to be a skilled artisan.  Mack had been planning to get him a job as the local smithy once the forge was complete.  He’s also sort of unnerved by the sacrilege committed on the Leshen (his name was Amahle), and upset about what happened to Ivo, but obviously more unnerved by what happened to ol’ Mogo Nobo.  Last Mack knew, he’d sent word to Mogo Nobo to start heading back toward town because the forge was complete.

Ehri - She’s a little distant about the whole thing, and mostly been trying to comfort Hifumi and keep Snowy occupied while this is all going on...far as a murder investigation goes, you know she’s skilled with a bow and a good hunter, but quite squeamish when it comes to cleaning a kill with a knife still.  There’s no way she could have been the perpetrator.

Jacqueline - She and a lot of the other Federalists are super irate about the state that Amahle was found in, let alone that a former serf of her house was also found dead.  She was basically about to sent out search parties when Darnell intervened to calm her down.  Darnell, being a lot older than she or most her soldiers, is a lot more composed about this.

 “It’s been many moons since I’ve seen one of our kind demasked.  Not even the most depraved butchers in the the Federation go that far.  To remove one’s mask, is to remove one’s face and sense of self.  To do this is beyond disrespectful, it's as if to say...that there is no reason to even acknowledge the deceased even existed.  What is more alarming is the one who did this, didn’t do it by force...they knew the correct way to do it.  As you other other descents might have realized, our masks aren’t simply worn - magical ritual binds them to our bodies.  And it is not unheard of for one of our kin to change their mask to mark a coming of age or a dramatic change in life, like marriage, divorce, or due to the death of a loved one, so there’s obviously a safe way to remove them.  Either our killer knew this ritual, or had an accomplice who did.  I can’t think of a reason a Leshen would come across a corpse in the wilds and then commit such an act.”

Cho and Mitul are very ‘woah we had nothing to do with this’ at the moment and are currently questioning each of their men/women one by one

Sheriff Evans, Bashar and the other guards are all calmly letting people sort their own feelings out on this.  Many of them are listening calmly to Darnell’s lessons on this matter, given they are quite ignorant of the topic and had not given it much thought.  Not much reason to suspect foul play here.  Though there might be some details they omitted for brevity.

Hifumi is pretty shooketh.  Erhi dragged her aside long enough to get her sitting in a chair and some tea to drink.  She finally does share that Ivo had told her some about what he was going on a short pilgrimage for.  Seeing the Labyrinth first hand, the ‘Guardians’ who very closely resembled Trolls, and the revelations about the old gods that Aina had shared, he found himself questioning his faith.  He was planning to speak with the Elder Druid and to reach out to other Trolls in influential positions about a new theory he was developing about their genesis.  She didn’t know much about the details of his returning, but his correspondances about it made it sound like he had made some great progress on this front.

Harphe - She actually has a very clean alibi - you guys picked her very quickly and threw a bunch of commissions right at her.  You all saw her in town and knew she was working day and night to crank those out, so she had nothing to do with the Leshen’s demise.  As for the other two, she was out of town for two weeks visiting friends and family before the new year, and had only just returned this morning.

 Tsavi - “Ah geez, you guys think I’m smart enough to be a serial killer?  I’m flattered!”
Fahreen - the above, but less happy about it.

Igor - Igor’s been looking at Mogo Nobo’s body up close and looking pretty ‘holy shit’ about it.  What he is willing to share is that a lot of the lesson materials that are taught to Zooves in The Raven’s Engineering Schools, were written by a Mogo Nobo.  He had just always assumed this Mogo Nobo was a high up in the echelons, and not some old rando on the outside doing commission work to make a living.  He seems very curious what led Mogo Nobo to this point.
