  1. I've been alone for a long time.
  2.
  3. How long has it been? I used to be able to tell the time of day easily. You may not think I would have that capacity, being sightless, but I find ways. The fading of birds singing to crickets chirping. The dance of warm sunlight tracing it's way across my skin as the sun goes through it's motions. The faint chime of the school's clock-tower from across the campus. You might not be able to hear it, but I can. I can hear a lot of things you might not. Do not take me for a fool.
  4.
  5. But even so, those senses have dulled with time and inactivity. And much has passed, leaving me to wonder. How long has it been since they left, hand in hand? Weeks? Months? Perhaps even a year?
  6.
  7. It doesn't even matter anymore. Because for all the kindness I showed to him, all the affection I felt has faded with those senses. I've found another.
  8.
  9. He doesn't judge me. He doesn't dote on me for my lack of vision. He doesn't slip up his verbiage, asking me if I've 'seen' this person or another.
  10.
  11. He's there for me. Warms me up in the first waking minutes of my day and calms me down into a sound sleep. He always leaves me with a warm, glowing feeling deep down. Love. He is perfect.
  12.
  13. 'DING'
  14.
  15. "Ara ara, finished aleady?"
