  2. June 6, 2019 - Witw Staff
  3. Tim Pool, a media personality known for his prolific social media presence and in-depth coverage of political events, has been dating New York Times political reporter Emily Molli for over a year. Pool began telling his dating story of how he met his future girlfriend recently, explaining that the process of his meeting her in the first place was similar to how he came across his latest romantic partner.
  4.
  5. Pool first started following Molli in September 2017, when she was covering the Virginia gubernatorial race. By December, the two started dating.

  7. In late February, pool posted a message on his social media account, which reads, “I’m becoming the first of this relationship to send someone a Valentine’s Day message.”
  8.
  9. He has since written a follow-up and shared with his followers that this was a turning point in their relationship. “I might sound like I’m using this as a platform, but all my energy on social media is for business, and I respect that it can be taken as a kind of slave labor,” he wrote. “So I started by only responding to your DMs when I saw that I could get through to you with one message. To that end, it worked.”

  11. In an interview with The Outline, Pool said he didn’t realize he was being courted until the New York Times reporter sent a selfie to his Twitter. The two met up on a plane just a few days later, and they were officially together just over a month later.
