Ben we have discussed this at least once before. You know that a mute/gag is your first step. : D is a decent guy. He can be a bit toxic at times but most of the time it's al;l in good fun. And this occasion that was the case.

Please mute/gag first. Also a week ban (the maximum btw) is far to harsh for a 2nd time offense let alone a 1st

everyone warned me he has been banned everything multiple time, he was saying nigger and shit in chat over and over, talking shit etc
saying he has been banned on over 20 other servers
please tell me why you would want that on your server
you know i dont go easy on people, i warned him, he didnt give a shit. people dont learn unless something actually happens
if he comes back and has thought about it and becomes a nice part of the community then fine
but otherwise thats just stupid
the server is growing and getting more popular, the more people get away with that stuff the more out of control it gets
i have seen many servers go to hell because of it and i dont want that to happen here

Well he has only banned once for a day on our servers. As long as everyone is laughing and having fun then that is fine with me. We have to keep our customers happy. They come first

yes and he is a "customer" that ruins the atmosphere completely
i mean we can go voice chat and talk probably easier than typing
but i really dont understand why you want people like that who dont give a damn about the rules at all, flaunts proudly that he has been banned on over 20 other  servers and just kills the atmosphere

That is your opinion. If no one else was complaining (And I was contacted by a few ppl that you were too harsh on him) then there isn't an issue

i treat everyone the same
doesnt matter who it is where he is  your friend or not which i dont know if its true or not but that doesnt let them get special treatment as then the whole system breaks

Ben you are missing the whole point. If everyone in the server didn't want their friend to get banned and he gets banned they will just leave with him and go play on the server. Then we don't have a community.

Now I am finished discussing this. Next time start a ban vote. Let the players decide.

if thats the case demote me, im serious, the rules mean absolutely nothing then and the server will go to hell as so many others have, i would still play there but i will just disable voice chat
this is one server i really like
and i dont want to see it die
sure it could be hugely populated
but toxic as hell
right now the community is really good
apart from the few people that come in too cause problems
and that is literally what lots try to do

Ben I don't want to demote you. I just want you to be careful is all. Please understand that this community is my baby. I put my blood and sweat into this everyday ontop of a full time IT job where I serve clients. I have been getting 4 hours of sleep a night for the past few weeks where I normally get 7.

and i get that entirely which is why i want it to thrive
but the community is everything
and the rules are their to keep it nice
people dont respond to a 1 hour gag or mute etc
they dont care the people who are their to surf
relax and dont cause trouble
the people who constantly break the rules etc, they just go on tonnes of servers and do this
and in the end it spreads,
i have seen so many servers go south to the point i quit and leave because its just so shit to surf on after it gets so toxic
and it is almost impossible to bring it back from that once it gets to that point
if they like the server then why wouldent they respect the rules
and why would they flaunt the fact they have been banned on over 20 other servers
then they are just jumping on servers to cause trouble their is no denying that fact
the last thing i want for this server is to die because it gets toxic, which is why yes im strict but fair and treat everyone the same
