After writing these lyrics I had the unfortunate epiphany that this song was already done. I decided to post the lyrics anyways in case someone else enjoys them.
I found a midi version of it and was going to make a remix using some Genesis soundfonts. If someone is interested in singing it straight to DLC, I can still make the Genesis soundfont backing.
It's the 30th anniversary of the Genesis, so I wanted to write a love letter.
