This is an expoundment of scientific investigation concerning the dispute between the Children of the Light and the Swordfish Triarchy.

Each party claims to be acting under the direct or indirect instruction of a greater entity.

They also claim that the other party is composed of a category of entity that opposes their own greater entity and is considered to be evil.

The Swordfish Triarchy, hereafter referred to as the ST, claim that their greater entity is capable of temporal travel.

The Children of the Light, hereafter referred to as the CT, claim that the ST's claims are heresy.

In order to, hopefully, end this dispute, the Shen an Calhar scientific community has decided to expound the results of an experimental study on relevant matters.

This study focused on certain unexplained phenomena, some of which were similar in various ways to the ST's greater entity. Specifically, some abnormalities that, at cursory examination, seemed to interact irregularly with the temporal axis.

After some examination, by which we mean extensive testing and excessive study, it was determined that the relevant abnormalities either did not interact with the temporal axis, or interacted fairly regularly.

Instead, it was hypothesized - and supported by evidence, thus becoming our conclusion - that the abnormalities interacted with an axis that we do not.

For context, we interact normally with axes X, Y, and Z, and interact unilaterally and in a limited fashion with axis T, also known as time.

Our conclusion named the axis with which the tested abnormalities interacted the D axis, standing for 'dimensional.'
To explain to non specialists, further context is required.

The Infinite Dimension Theorem states that each directional axis serves as a single value on another axis, that an axis will not serve as a value to an axis that contributes to its own values, value axis, cont.

The Theorem also states that there are an infinite number of axes, and that there are different types of interactions with a given axis. These are: non, in which there is no interaction; regular, in which there is a bidirectional variable interaction; unilateral, in which there is a single directional interaction; single, in which there is only one value at which they interact; partial, in which interactions occur at some, but not all, values; periodic, where interaction is inconstant but predictable; inconsistent, where interaction is unpredictable; coterminous, in which the axes share all values, though not necessarily all interactions; and isolated, in which only one axis is affected by interaction.

Our conclusion concerning the ST and the CL is that the ST originally occupied a different D value than the one we are familiar with. In that D value, they may have been correct in their claims, while in this value the CL may be more correct. Depending on interactions between the respective D values, both may be equally correct.

Summary: the ST may have originated in a different world.
