Alright, this will be a very brief update.  Holy fuck did shit get crazy yesterday.

So, around 19:00 yesterday the State of the Goonion started, and most of the game tuned in to watch.  They announced they were going North, and shit started to get a little crazy, then they started to mention TEST, and my discord started to light up with PMs, then they showed their little LOTR meme video, and my discord absolutely exploded.  That kind of pissed me off because I was having a very chill afternoon, and then I had to spend the next 8 hours or so in private chats with just about every entity in EVE reminding them that they were freaking out over a fucking LOTR meme.

So this will be easier to explain if I just break it all down in order:

Immediately after the SOTG yesterday, everyone started convoing me to ask if we had a deal with goons, to which I said no we do not have any deals with goons, nor did we invite them up here.  Then people asked who I would side with, to which I replied "well if people try to headshot our fortizar I think that will make up our minds pretty easily".  GOTG and PL have since cancelled their headshot ops for our fortizar.  We did not ask them directly for this, despite what they tell their own members.

The only deal we have in place at the moment is with Xdeath and Gemco, we do not have a deal with GOTG or PL, we do not have a deal with Goons, we do not have a deal with anyone else.  We did not ask goons to come up here.  Our deal with Xdeath and Gemco. was that we could stage in MTO and fuck with the north as long as we didn't try to invade and hold any regions (which we never intended on doing as you know).  In the event that anything major changed, we would be given 2 weeks to pull out of MTO no matter the circumstances.  Xdeath and Gemco. are among some of the most trustworthy people in EVE, and that deal is still in place.  However, WE HAVE NOT been asked to pull out of MTO yet.  Also, as a show of good faith to Xdeath and gemco., we have temporarily withdrawn our cloaky campers from GOTG space while everything calms down and we figure out exactly what's going on.  But as of now absolutely nothing else has changed, except for the fact that at this very moment GOTG and PL are not going to attempt to headshot our fortizar.

Now while Xdeath and Gemco. are among the most trustworthy people in EVE, PL and GOTG are among the least trustworthy, so that could definitely change out of the blue.  Not to mention that we don't have any agreements in place with them anyway, and they could change their mind and try to headshot us again.  While the threat is there, we are going to assume that they won't for the moment, and cancel our major form up at 23:00 eve time on Thursday.  As I said two days ago, this was always pointless for them anyway, as we have two alternative stagings in system already, so in the event they pull a fast one and surprise attack our fortizar, we will just chalk it up as another deceitful move from deceitful people, and plan accordingly.  But once again, for now we are cancelling the op that is on Thursday at 23:00.

Where do we go from here?

For now we have not entirely decided what we are going to do.  I personally don't understand why everyone is freaking out over a goon deployment, goons never deploy and when they do they're shit at it.  We were on deployment first, and we didn't make any deals with anyone or decide to work with anyone.  We were here by ourselves, shooting people by ourselves.  For now I'm not sure if we will continue in MTO, since Xdeath and gemco. have been gracious hosts to us and I'd rather not cause them further complications if staying in MTO will do so.  The reason we have temporarily pulled our cloaky campers back is so we can have some time to let things cool down and work out new arrangements with Xdeath and gemco. if need be.  If we do decide to pull out of MTO, then we have 2 weeks to do so as stated in our agreement, so do not be worried that you won't be able to get your stuff out.

This is the situation as it stands right now.  For now we will continue running raid fleets and roams out of MTO until we figure out exactly what we're doing, which should happen in the next 24-48 hours.  Once we figure out what we're doing we'll put out another alliance update.  You should assume nothing has changed though, and you should still be staged in MTO.  WE ARE STILL ON DEPLOYMENT UNTIL WE SAY OTHERWISE, THAT MEANS NOTHING HAS CHANGED AND ESOTERIA IS STILL NOT WHERE YOU SHOULD BE, AND ANY RATTERS OR MINERS CAUGHT IN ESOTERIA STILL WILL NOT BE SAVED.  I'm sorry for the confusion, but these are confusing times at the moment.
