I admit, I didn't do my due diligence in checking the illegal streams of Crunchyroll's version to see if this still held true, but...

Yeah, author behind Kobayashi's has penned some really excellent work of slice of life that are otherwise wonderful and welcome additions to anime...but dude is a ♥♥♥♥in' straight pedophile. Even given a proper amount of consideration, no, no, no...author's a ♥♥♥♥in' pedophile.

Most anime is borderline pedophilia, anyways. It'd be borderline if not straight illegal to have harem anime featuring as close to full-frontal nudity in the sexual positions and situations that is cool in Japan, but would get you a visit from the FBI in America.

Most of it's cool to me. Yeah, I know it's cultural differences, and the worst of the harems sit in a forgivable gray spot...

But Crunchyroll didn't do the same diligence Funimation did in porting this over.

Episode 4, yeah... That's two 10-year old lesbians rubbing one off on another. One of them even seems to ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

I dread I saw enough of this scene to get a clear gist that this was the author's pedophilic mark, and I'm rather annoyed at Japan for letting this♥♥♥♥♥♥get through. That's too far, even for Japan.

I'm even more upset that Kobayashi's Dragon Maid is an otherwise amazing, progressive, funny, beautifully orchestrated and animated slice of life supernatural good time. It's one of the best series to come out in the past decade. It's truly a wonder.

But ♥♥♥♥in'...that one scene. One damned scene can ruin everything for you, and Crunchyroll left it totally like it was.

Funimation cleaned that♥♥♥♥♥♥up, and Funimation's version is back to just being a progressive, "Oh, that's just Japan being Japan." funny, heartwarming tale that's not afraid to explore alternative sexual relations (notably between a dragon and a human), young love and all the misunderstandings that come with it, and all the other good stuff KDM does so damned well.

But, no, Crunchyroll. And you too by relation, Steam. Don't "No refund." me on this one.

This is straight ♥♥♥♥in' illegal right now, and Crunchyroll needs a proper beat upside the head for letting this one scene pass.

Handle your business, Valve. Like I know you always have.
