  5. DID YOU 100% READ THIS ENTIRE POST? https://invadedlands.net/threads/2987/ Yes
  6. General Information
  7. Age 16 years old
  8.
  9. Timezone BST
  10.
  11. Where do you live? England, South Yorkshire
  12.
  13. How long have you been apart of InvadedLands? at least 3 months
  14.
  15. Have you ever been punished on InvadedLands before?
  16. If so, explain.
  17.
  18. I have been punished on InvadedLands, I take full responsibility for the offense that I had committed. I believe a while ago I was muted by Lumbocc, and I am pretty sure it was because I was spamming caps. What I did was silly and immature and will not happen again, furthermore, I am almost 100% sure that this does not qualify as committing 3 muteable offenses within 30 days of applying. Once again I want to re-iterate that I accept responsibility and that what immature actions I had done, I will never do again.
  19. Do you have a working mic and can talk to us? Yes.
  20.
  21. Can you record videos of hackers at a reasonable frame-rate and quality? Yes 1080p120fps
  22.
  23. What skills do you feel you have that will help the Community?
  24. I feel that I have multiple skills that will help the community, I will explain in detail how I obtained them, how much experience I have and why I feel that my skills will make a meaningful contribution.
  25.
  26. One of the skills that I like the most is my argument defusal skills, ways I would tackle 2 people arguing has been many different to some of my other colleagues. Most of them would mute them, I, however, would attempt to reason with them and ask why they are fighting and what can be done to prevent this. This method has almost always worked (Sometimes it doesn’t work which is okay as I have learned what works and what doesn’t works with certain people, I use it as a learning experience) which results in a win-win-win situation, both people who participated in the argument don’t have any on-record punishments(if it was a nasty argument and it affects other people I will always put the onlookers first and would issue a mute or similar) and I get to feel happy that I helped some people. The reason this works is that it treats the underlying causes instead of quickly ending it, sure they may not be able to argue anymore but they might still be mad at each other. Imagine a long-lasting relationship destroyed of something you later see as silly; I believe that a moderator’s job isn’t just to uphold the different rules of each server but to also take care of its members and keep the community friendly and open to others. This can be helpful in many situations such as if 2 people are continuously arguing despite being muted several times, it might keep going on but my method usually works and ends in the people fighting understanding why they shouldn’t be angry at each other, I strongly believe
  27. told me “Prevention is much better then dealing with the effects,” of course this is paraphrased from memory.
  28.
  29. Another skill I believe can be useful that can contribute to the community is my ability to switch between being informal, laid-back and chill and fooling around with others to being an on-duty staff member and being formal. This is useful as it allows me to get to know members of the community better whilst also being professional and just. This can lead to some hard decisions like taking moderation actions against people I know, but I have done that before and it never gets easier but over time I have come to learn how to keep the relationships undamaged while still taking fair action that would have been given to anyone else. This can tell people that even our staff are humans and in servers where I moderated sometimes the players would despise the staff, but I always let people know that if they needed someone or they were alone I would help. I apply this same sort of mentality when someone asks for help as well, I don’t see it as ‘One more person done and I will be promoted’ I focus and giving quality over quantity as any good moderator should. I am able to quickly switch between being off-duty and just playing, to being on-duty and doing my job.
  30.
  31. I am also very creative and I can offer lots to contribute to the server, this means that I can help in creating ideas for new updates, looking at different ways at a bug and so on, you can see this in my posts where I was helping a member with not being able to connect to the invadedlands network because they were being kicked for vpn/proxy. I had seen that others had instructed them to create a bug report so rather than repeating what other people had said I gave him a guide which can reset his ip which may fix the problem of him being incorrectly flagged as being on a vpn. The steps I gave both of them is somewhat like this. I also made sure that if they had any doubts they were free to contact me on discord where I may offer them more help. The instructions I told them was this(They mentioned somewhere they already tried restarting their router: https://pastebin.com/VU8tUEKe (pastebin cause char limit)
  32. poeple out ingame as well. This is only one of the examples that I can use my creative thinking to help people. I can also apply this to things like thinking of ideas for updates(although im sure you dont need me for that lol) and more
  33.
  34. One more skill that I think is worthy of mentioning is my ability to admit my weaknesses and ask for help. To prove this I will list 5 downsides & weakness to me and what I am doing to combat these downsides (I really hope you see this as proof of honesty/admission than defects about me):
  35. 1. I have school work. I am trying extremely hard to balance out my school life alongside my online interactions but this is becoming increasingly harder as I reach my GCSEs(If you don’t know it’s the exam you take at the end of high school). This results in me being stressed but I never have and never shall let that impact how I behave towards other people
  36. 2. I can sometimes let leisure take ahead of work, however, I am becoming much better and stopping this and even though I see it as a problem no-one else has pointed it out to me.
  37. 3. I take actions to limit damage to other people – sometimes if there is someone blatantly using hacks like mega reach or anti-kb I will ban very fast to prevent other people from being affected. Sometimes this leads in me not having enough proof but since then I have always recorded and have keybinds to start recording, I have also upped the quality to 1080p120fps so I can play in slow-motion to get clearer evidence
  38. 4. [CENSORED to non-staff]
  39. 5. Some people say this is a downside and others say this is not, I am not sure what I see it as. I can be very competitive sometimes in situations like competitions.
  40.
  41. Another thing to point out is i have used and paid for hacked clients before when I was setting up my server amd testing the anti-cheat. This means I have had experince with them and I know a few of there weaknesses & things to look out for.
  42.
  43. I furthermore always upload any hacks that are detected to youtube as unlisted and get a shareable link, on top of that I also log all Punishments and more in a google document with links to proof and detail. I do this so if the punished person makes an appeal I can provide proof to senior staff easily
  44. What past moderating experiences do you have?
  45. Please be specific. How long were you staff at said server(s), what did you do there as your time as staff, did you deal with hackers, chat offenses...etc
  46. I have got quite a bit of experience both on discord and Minecraft- this means I am skilled in situations. (I will not post any ip's in case it is seen as advertising)
  47. Server 1:
  48. My server network: I owned a server network which had 2 servers: kitpvp & SMP. This taught me how to manage staff, configure plugins & create staff guidelines. Shut down due to fund issues. Some of the moderation actions I had to perform here were banning griefers, investigating reports and checking anticheat alerts
  49. 2 months staff
  50.
  51. I was staff on a server called Icemania and I was a moderator there, I mainly defused arguments, caught hackers such as xrayers & killaura, especially reach & bhop hackers that out anti-cheat didn't catch. I learned useful skills such as Screen sharing hackers- where to look for hacks, anti-cheat notifications & collecting evidence and the proper ways to do it. This was about 2 years ago. It taught me a lot about what to do, how to do things. Here I did manage some punishment appeals as well.
  52. 7 months staff / 100 concurrent players
  53.
  54. I was also staff on the larrymc server(SMP & skyblock), I am staff there it has changed to frostmc but it is quite dead now. The max it had was 25 concurrent players, here I just refined my skills but had to deal with a lot more toxic people who threatened to leak ips, swat us, etc. Anyone who did this I would gather evidence and then IP ban them if they threatened any sort of harm like Swatting I would report them through my local police website.
  55. Staff for 1 month
  56.
  57. Server 4: This is a server where I was an admin and managed staff applications and handling of new staff. I would patrol the server daily and would keep an eye out for rule breakers. I would always be one of the first to respond to ban appeals or player reports as I was incredibly active. Here I learned many usefull skills. Discord server: Bank busters: I monitored the chat and banned hackers(this was 2 years ago in Roblox) and had a speedy response time Discord server Katsuo: I basically set up the server and was co-owner and head discord manager until I had an argument with the owner and left. The server had about 150 members I think I have had about 3 years of moderation experience all added up which makes me very skilled at what I do. Most of the punishments I issued were bans at the start for xrayers and other people abusing huge bugs (ie. Fishing rod crates to earn millions then distributing to the economy). This died out pretty fast and the last part I had to do was issue warns and mutes for arguments until everything was ok.
  58.
  59.
  60. Staff for 13 months
  61. I have also been an Administrator on a Roblox group called Bank Busters about 1.5 -2.5 years ago. The group was centered around a popular game called jailbreak. We had our own private server on it and my job was to keep an eye out for hackers, manage player reports and educate new people on the rules.
  62. Staff for a month
  63. My most notable discord experience where I did not own the server as a moderator/staff member was called Katsuo. In katsuo we regularly had to deal with spambots, toxic people and other people who just wanted to ruin the server. I also wrote the punishment guidelines for the server (https://pastebin.com/CCibqNUy) I also organized community events, helped new members orientate themselves and learned useful skills. Unfortunately, I left my position as a hard-earned co-owner due to a serious disagreement with the owner, although we are no longer mad at each other.
  64. Staff for 3 months
  65.
  66. I am also one of 2 admins on Fasterr's discord server(the guy who makes the music), and I have helped in setting up the server interviewing people and writing the format for interviews. I have been staff here since the server came out which is at least 5 months. The admins managed events, setup webhooks hired staff and dealt with raids and people attempting to leak ips.All the admins have been managing the server(I and someone else called himi). We have also done many more things which means I can also dedicate time when i can't get on my pc to moderate Minecraft, I can moderate Discord and keep it a cleaner place.
  67.
  68. The most useful skill I learned from all this is managing player reports, the way I do it:
  69. 1. Collect all relevant information and links, is it faked or is it blatantly real? If its fake take action based on server guidelines, if it is blatant than take action against the player who is being reported
  70. 2. If I am unsure I would talk to the person who reported and understand what they were trying to do and how they happened across this accused rule breaker, I also appreciate in most circumstances this is not possible therefore I would skip point 3
  71. 3. If I'm still unsure I would ask a senior staff member to review the evidence, as they have more experience than me.
  72. 4. Come to a conclusion within 24 hours of the report being posted.
  73.
  74. Do you know any of our current staff members? Kind of, I am in Zelkam's private discord server and I have seen all the other staff ingame except megapvp.
  75.
  76. What languages can you speak fluently? I can speak 2 languages fluently and I am learning another one as of now. I am fluent in English & -) and I can understand French. I am also learning German
  77.
  78. Why do you think you would be a good fit for moderator? I think that I would be a good fit for a moderator on InvadedLands because of my work ethic, my experience and my passion to keep the community welcome and open to the next person who joins. I will continue to be like invaded and keep the flow going good. I am also good at communication as listed before which can help with talking things out, I can also be chill and unmellowed to becoming professional and strict very fast.
  79.
  80. Please give any other information you might think is useful for us to know. Some more info:

  87. I am aware of my lack of activity on sb and survival, however, even though I don't play on it I can still moderate it
  88. Thank you to whichever manager is reading my application I hope that you will consider my application and my honest answers so that I may help in keeping the server friendly and welcoming.
