Im a big fan of the ArmA series and playing it since the original Operation Flashpoint (2001). Those old titles were one of many reasons i joined my army in real life. Recently, since i got a new pc, i re - installed Arma 3 because on my new pc i can actually play it with very good fps, my old pc made it nearly impossible to enjoy this game.
However when i played i suddenly realised the marksman dlc, wich is basicly a micro transaction in a full priced title... Not only should you either decide free to play with transactions or full price title, but you should consider what made you, Bohemia Interactive, big in the first place. It was your modding community who made you popular! Im not only talking about dayz here, i mean literally everything that made your multiplayer enjoyable, is done by your great modding community who did it for free. Im talking about capiture the island, ace realism mod, arma life, tousands of coop missions etc... And to thank your community, you literally shit into their faces by putting a !13€! mini dlc in front of them that give you a clear advantage by having those at their supposal.
This deeply dissapointed me as i pointed out im a big fan of the arma series and always were happy that you didnt totally sell out like EA or Activision for example. But with this, i bet loaning marketing campain or whatever it is, you made me realise that nobody is save from the big greed. Gaming is dead, thanks for showing me, you were one of the last "bigger" developers who didnt try to f*ck me till now. Arma 3 will be the last BI title i bought, i know that doesnt concern you the least, because kids nowadays will happily eat up every shit you throw in their very direction. But i really hope some of the original OFP development crew sees this mail and i least hope they realise what they've become.
Theres a difference between earning money and scamming your own community. I apologise for any grammatical errors i made, but i cant do any better since english isnt my native language. I also needed to hold myself back here to not blindly curse every sentence, but its just a mail to a now faceless corporation.
