Ideas and thoughts can slither around, meandering through your mind in any route they'd like to take. How do thoughts and experiences conduct themselves in your mind? Maybe you don't know, and that's all right. You can have much more direct experienecs with the way your mind can experience things and how that interacts with the thoughts you may have, or not. Ideas and experiences snake around within you, operating at whatever scale they operate at, slithering in their serpentine course, weaving through your awareness. There's much more going on in your mind than you know, you know? You might be noticing some chains of thought, or some sensations, or things happening in the room outside, or you can be paying attention to your own breathing, but while your conscious awareness is taking note of a single thing, your mind has all these things within it and processes them and tracks them all. You can let your attention drift and your thoughts and experiences and ideas progress, slithering around on the course they naturally follow within your mind. You can relax, you can let your awareness drift, because it can feel very pleasant to let your mind simply operate in its own way, as it always does, and you can take time to feel calm and appreciate the deep capabilities of your mind. Yes... When you're in a deep hypnotic trance, you can let your awareness drift to what your mind would want you to be aware of, sense things more interesting or more pleasant or more imaginative than what your senses might sense, you can follow my words into new worlds. So, follow me down? Perhaps your awareness is drifting about, unmoored, or maybe you're notcing your breath, the way it slows, or the way those sensations have changed as your mind has continued to relax into the scene it would like to follow, following my words, entering a scene I paint. When you let your perceptions drift freely, your mind can take them to new places, take you to wonderful experiences in deep trance - and I'll be with you all the way.
