- Covet: -Kelsey was sitting at one of the tables in the kitchen working on her essay for her english final. Her headphones were plugged in and she was listening to music, tapping her foot to the beat of the song that was playing.-
- Tsaaq: She came out of her room with her cleaning supplies in her lap. Looking exhausted as she rolled herself towards the kitchen, spotting Kelsey seated at one of the tables. She noticed her headphones and went on with her rolling along.
- Covet: -She looked up to see Bliss rolling into the kitchen. She pulled out one of her headphones and gave Bliss a polite smile.- Hello Bliss. How are you tonight?
- jajki: Ivy strolls out of her bedroom and sighs before putting on a pleasant expression and bounding into the common area. “Hey guys!” She chirps out before turning and heading towards the fridge. Pulling it open she bends down to grab a bottle of water before standing back up and turning to smile between the two. “How’s it going?"
- Tsaaq: "Fine." She murmured, going towards the counter and putting the bucket on it. "How are you two?" Bliss asked with a sigh, pulling on her latex gloves.
- Covet: Um, It's alright. Working on my english final. I can't believe the term will be over after next week. -she said sighing as she looked at her screen, chewing on her lip as she pressed the keys down, before pushing it away.- At the same time I'm glad it will be summer and time for a break.
- jajki: Ivy pushes her hair back out of her face before lowering the hand to twist off the cap of her water bottle. “Yeah, it’s crazy.” she agrees with Kelsey before pouting a bit. She opens her mouth to say something but quickly stops herself and puts the pleasant expression back on. “I’m looking forward to the summer!"
- Tsaaq: Bliss inhaled deeply before covering her mouth and nose with a paper face mask and began to spray the whole counter. "Yeah... Summer." She said with a nod. "It's fine."
- Covet: -Kelsey set her jaw, nodding her head- I'm just planning to keep my head low and finish off the rest of the semester with as much grace as possible. -She looked over at Bliss- You were so right about the party Bliss. It shouldn't have happened.
- jajki: Ivy takes a long drink of water, raising her brow slightly at the comment on the party. After lowering the bottle she keeps her eyes slightly wide as she chews on the inside of her cheek before speaking. “It was almost /too/ crazy. Did you guys get written up?"
- Tsaaq: She pursed her lips, going to wipe the counter down. "Please..." Bliss whispered with a hint of pain in her voice. "I don't wish to talk about it." She sighed as she looked down trying look like she was focused on cleaning.
- Covet: Mhhm. That one should be interesting to explain to my parents. -Kelsey mumbled as she leaned over on her hand.- I'm sure there will be a lecture waiting and everything. Thankfully it happened this late in the semester I suppose.
- jajki: “Yeah, I’m not sure if I’m going to tell mine.” Ivy sighs as she flips her hair over her shoulder. She glances down to Bliss and pauses for a few moments before continuing. “How would they even know who all was there? The crowd was huge."
- Tsaaq: "Well obviously, somebody told Dean Ravenholm what happened." Bliss said, sounding irritated. She started wiping the counter hard before withdrawing the rag and wringing it out in the sink.
- Covet: There are cameras in here. It's part of the campus. -Kelsey said- So it would just be a matter of looking at the footage, or yeah, if they talked to anyone that was there.
- jajki: Ivy shrugs and takes another drink of water before speaking. “That’s sucky that everyone got in trouble. At least it didn’t go further than write-ups though!"
- Tsaaq: She let out an audible groan. "I really don't want to think about how I've failed as a residence assistant." Bliss said angrily. "Maybe you guys don't have that much at stake but I do. I could've lost what I'd been working so hard for, for so long." She pulled down her face mask and waited on the counter to dry
- Covet: For some. -Kelsey said softly. - You aren't the only one Bliss. I'm not exactly relieved or proud of this. But you shouldn't have been blamed. You had just gotten out of the hospital and everything. The school can't honestly expect you to have been here and to keep control of something that big...-she took a breath and sighed heavily again, putting her head down on the table-
- jajki: “Yeah!” Ivy agrees, her expression changing to one of sympathy. She holds her water in both hands and moves to sit in one of the empty chairs in the area so that she can easily see both women. “That’s crazy that they’d expect you to do that after…all that.” She glances to Kelsey then to Bliss.
- Tsaaq: Bliss shook her head. "No, I should be blamed. I knew the role I took on when I took the position. And the one time I allowed myself to be irresponsible it meant the most." She argued before sighing. "It's fine." Bliss said to herself reassuringly. "I'd rather not talk about it all together." She pulled her face mask back on and resprayed the counter.
- Covet: It would be pointless to blame you. Nobody would expect you to be here. You didn't come up with the idea, you didn't even go did you? -she asked furrowing her brows together, then shook her head- If I were you I'd be fighting the write up all together. You've got the perfect reason to be excluded from all of this.
- jajki: Leaning against the table Ivy twirls a strand of hair around her finger and pulls her phone out of her pocket. Lowering her head she taps at the screen for a few moments before setting the device on the table and sighing lightly. “It’s all annoying. Surely the dean will be understanding if the situation is made known to him though! But let’s change the subject! Do you two have any finals you’re particularly worried about?"
- Tsaaq: She stared at the counter, counting under her breath before grumbling and turning to look between Kelsey and Ivy. "I don't understand. When I say I don't want to talk about it that means stop. That means exactly what I said. Stop talking to me about it." She sighed once the subject changed. "I don't worry about finals." Bliss said dismissively.
- Covet: -Kelsey looked back at he computer and tried to focus on her English essay.- Sorry. -she mumbled, typing a few more words, before stopping to re-read and think about where she was going with the sentence.- The only one I'm really concerned about is this one, and history...and science. -She frowned and hit play on her music again.-
- jajki: “Mmmm…” Ivy narrows her eyes before looking back to her phone in an attempt to cover her annoyance for a few moments. After a bit she looks up and flips her hair over her shoulder. “Yeah, science I’m a little nervous for. I wish I had the luxury of not worrying about finals!"
- Tsaaq: "I've been preparing for finals since the end of spring break... Even though I had to get back into the hang of things." Bliss said softly. "Otherwise I should be fine. If not I'll be very upset." She continued to clean.
- Covet: I've been half prepared, I knew they were coming up, but I got a little distracted there after Spring break. -Kelsey said not looking away from her computer.-
- jajki: Ivy looks down and continues to tap at her screen as she speaks. “They really snuck up on me. But that’s because I only took courses that started at the halfway point in the semester…so I only had like..a few weeks."
- Tsaaq: Bliss rolled away from the counter, trying to figure out how she'd mop in a wheelchair. "If you need help go to a tutor at the library. That's a helpful resource." She told Ivy before going back into the kitchen to gather her things.
- Covet: Yeah, they are really good if you need to get caught up with things too. -Kelsey said looking over to them both, fighting to avoid doing her essay, and focus on it at the same time.- I'd like to feel bad because you got here, late, but even if you had been here at the beginning of the semester, I can't say it'd be any easier.
- jajki: Ivy grins, looking up from her phone for a few moments as she speaks. “The classes are geared towards the half-semester timeline so it’s not /horrible/…just jarring.” She glances over to Bliss and smiles widely. “I may do that! Thank you.” With that she looks back down to her phone and continues to tap away at the screen.
- Tsaaq: Bliss rose her eyebrows a moment then went to wipe down the banister of the half wall of the kitchen. "Good. It'll help you." She said to Ivy. "I'm sure your professors are more understanding."
- Covet: -Kelsey watched the two of them, then stared at her screen, well more like through it while the music played through the one earbud. Occasionally she'd snap out of it and type a few more words.-
- jajki: “Yeah!” Ivy chimes without looking up from her phone. “I think they will be. For gen-ed professors…or what I’ve heard of them…they’re all pretty nice! I think I lucked out."
- Tsaaq: "Most of these professors are understanding." Bliss said, not really offering much else to the conversation while she cleaned over and over.
- Covet: You just have to give them plenty of warning and don't make excuses for it. They are way more understanding if you are being responsible about it. -Kelsey nodded her head moving her cursor around the screen.-
- jajki: Setting her phone down on the table Ivy finally looks up and looks between Kelsey and Bliss. “I forget…what years are you both here?"
- Tsaaq: Bliss put the rag down and sighed loudly. "I'm a junior." She answered Ivy. "I took college courses in my senior year of high school here though."
- Covet: This is my official Sophomore year. I got started about a year early too. -Kelsey told Ivy not looking up from her screen.-
- jajki: Ivy looks back down to her phone, taps at the screen, then looks up and tilts her head. “Oooooh that’s neat! I did some dual credit stuff through a local community college my senior year. But then I took a semester off before coming here."
- Tsaaq: She stared at Ivy for a while before pursing her lips. "Engrossing text conversation?" She asked curtly as she pointed at the other female's phone.
- Covet: Fun stuff. What's it like taking a year off? -Kelsey asked, because she had no idea what that'd be like.-
- jajki: Ivy widens her eyes before nodding quickly. “Oh yeah! Sorry. My sister’s having some boy troubles and keeps texting me.” She sends off another text before sliding her phone away and sitting forward in her seat. “It was pretty neat! I went to California and did a few auditions. It was really liberating and my parents were super supportive so that was awesome."
- Tsaaq: Bliss nodded her head slowly at Ivy then went to grab her bucket. "Interesting." She said softly as she wheeled back over to Ivy. "I'm thinking of getting a master's in something." She muttered. "Not sure what yet. My whole career plan has to change now." Bliss sighed.
- Covet: My parents are supportive, so long as I'm following the plan they set out for me. Which is hard. Because I'm an adult now, but they hold a higher expectation of me. I don't get to have as much fun as a normal college kid. But I make the best of it...-she said softly- Why does it have to change? -she asked Bliss-
- jajki: Ivy glances to her phone screen and takes a deep breath, refraining from grabbing it or yelling for the moment. “Mmmmm..” she says slowly. “My parents placed all their expectations on my older sister.” She attempts a light chuckle before looking to Bliss. “Yeah, why?"
- Tsaaq: "I can't be a political analyst in a wheelchair." She answered. "It's as simple as that. I've deviated from my track. I have to find something else do to. I have a few things in mind already but..." Bliss trailed off. "I don't know."
- Covet: How is a wheelchair stopping you from doing that though? -Kelsey said confused not seeing how the wheelchair kept her from doing that.- Is it for sure that you are going to be in it for a long time? -she asked with genuine curiosity, because she didn't know-
- jajki: Ivy glances back to her phone and a small frown appears on her face. She scoots forward in her seat and smiles to the two women. “I’m sorry guys, I have to take care of something.” Grabbing her phone off the table she moves swiftly off in the direction of her room.
- Tsaaq: Bliss grumbled a little. "I don't know if you've noticed but when was the last time you've seen a parapelegic news reporter or a parapelegic anything!? Besides Stephen Hawking..." She trailed off before rolling away. "I should go to bed..." Bliss whispered. "I'll see you around. Have a good night." She sighed as she headed for her dorm.
- Covet: Alright. -Kelsey frowned, looking discouraged at the situation then stared at her screen again, putting her headphones back in with another frustrated sigh-
