Claudia Lowetti gives the welcome to Emilia (but not to Hayato) as they land on the ground. She glares coldly to Hayato, he said that his job was to Emilia's guard. A person was with Claudia, his name is Gerard Kilfelthar, a major officer from the government.

Then they took a car already prepared to go to the suzerain state of Gudenburg.  As they were going there, unexpectedly Sakura called Hayato, she was giving a Live Tour and currently was in Louvre, located in Francois. As this was a couple of hours from Gudenburg and she was free next day, she wanted to have a date with Hayato, but as soon as he said that aloud, Emilia picks the PDA and dispatched Sakura saying that Hayato must protect her everyday non-stop.
They argued for a little, but in the end, Emilia won and finished the call.

After a couple of minutes, they arrived to the huge palace of Gudenburg. It was a huge construction, composed of three buildings/sections that were connected. Emilia was living here for a while.

There, they met with Kate Gramanshe, personal maid of Emilia. As they have to visit the king, Kate tells to Emilia that she needs to change her clothes, to conmemorate the reunion of father and daughter. Kate asks Hayato if he wants to see her in her 'Ojou-sama' pretty figure, and he answers that he wants to see that.
After waiting for a couple of minutes in the waiting room, Emilia arrives in her beautiful dress to impress Hayato and company. Then they were guided by Kate to the king's room, and along the way, they are thinking about their plan. Which was as follows: Hayato is Emilia's fiancee, and so, they are planning to get married. Hayato thinks if it's really good to do that, to deceive a king. But this was a mission that was given the thumbs up by Claire, so it must be completed.

Hayato asks some details about the relationship between Emilia and her family to Claudia, and she tells him that it is complicated, as Emilia has blood from Gudenburg and from Wenz, making it hard for her to live a normal life as a member of ther royal family and that she is involved in a political conflict too.

They arrive to the king's room, and so, Emilia and Hayato are allowed to enter. Inside were the King who was laying on his bed, and Prime Minister Bratt standing next to him. After the introductions, the king wanted to know the reasons as to why Hayato was in there. Boldly, Emilia answers (since Hayato was so nervous) that he was her precious person and wants his father approval to marry him.

Prime Minister Bratt intervenes saying that she can't do that, as she is Douglas's fiancee. She responds that she wants to nullify the compromise, as this was done without her consent. Even the king didn't know that. Bratt says that as she has mixed blood, this will turn into chaos, as Wenz has more military power than Gudenburg. But Emilia replies that such thing will not happen, as Little Garden will offer their strength to protect Gudenburg. Emilia gives her father a memo with the details of this. Bratt started to talk again, but the king demands him to leave the room. Emilia gets closer to his father as he wanted that, and tells her that her face reminds him of Remilia, his wife (Emilia's mother). He tells to her that he went through hard times with Remilia and in the end, he couldn't be to her side when she passed away. It is because of that he wants Emilia to be happy. He feels really bad for accepting Bratt's proposal (to marry her with Douglas) and accepts Little Garden's terms. He wants to nullify the compromise with Wenz and then, he looks directly to Hayato, requesting for him to take care of Emilia.

After that, they went on a 'date', visiting the old section of Gudenburg. They got some ice cream and walked until they get to the park, there, memories of the past started to flow. The first was about the scar in her body, which was starting to disappear. In a beginning, she didn't want that, as this was a link to Hayato, that was uniting both of them. But since she is starting over with Hayato, she doesn't need it anymore. The second thing was that, the day the second attack happened, this was what she wanted to do that time: She kissed his cheek. Hayato jumped with his face all red, and Emilia told him why he feels so embarrased, does he not remember what they did a couple of days ago? They kissed in the mouth.

Emilia asked him if it was wrong to be a couple who would marry in the future, just like they said that to her father. With that, Emilia was holding still the face of Hayato, as she was moving her lips closer to him, but then, Emilia's PDA rang, killing the moment. It was an emergency, they had to go ASAP to the palace.

What happened was that there was Douglas Edward Wenz, third prince of Wenz, Emilia's fiancee, and next to him was Bratt Fitzroy, Prime Minister of Gudenburg. Their intentions were obvious. He feels anger as to why she picked 'that guy' instead of him. Emilia said that she loves Hayato. Then, Douglas wanted to test Hayato's strength to check if he was a proper man for Emilia and deployed his Hundred, a Broad Sword. There, Bratt said that this 'duel' was benefitial bor both sides. If Hayato wins, they will step back. If Douglas wins, she will marry him. If he doesn't take part of this (as a compensation for nullifying the compromise), they will receive the 80% of Variable Stone and Savage Core that the UN gives to Gudenburg for the next decade.

In the middle of that, a woman wearing a white robe, and next to her two ladies in black robes, appeared. Douglas pointed his sword to the lady in white cutting the fabric that was concealing her face, so her guards deployed their halberds in response to this. She stops them from doing anything, dealing with Douglas herself. As he was being rude to her, she moved her hand and pointed it to Douglas, and sent him flying until he crashed against the wall.

Her name is Serivia Notredame Paulo III. The pope of <Holy Church> Puritaria.
All the people are astonished, as everyone thought that the Pope was a man. So seeing the figure of a woman was indeed surprising. She said that there were moments in the past were the Pope was a woman, but it had to be super secret. And that the Pope must never show its face to the public.
The girl standing to the right of the Pope pointed with her finger to a location. Then the Pope created a dagger, and throwed it to a wall. Nobody understood what happened, but the dagger hit an invisible object. It was a woman, in fact, a Douglas' guard who was using her Hundred ability. The king enters the scene, and is informed about all that happened there. There's an argue between Bratt, Douglas, Emilia and Claudia. Douglas change the conditions for the outcome of the duel. If he wins, he wants the king to ascend him as the Commander of the Slayer Troops of the Allied Force of the Federation of Britannia. After hearing talking too much Bratt defending the kingdom of Wenz, and how if in the events that Douglas defeats Hayato who's a very talented Slayer from Little Garden, his reputation will increase, making it more than fit to be the commander of the Slayer troops. As he favors too much the family of Wenz, Emilia suspects that maybe Bratt has some secret pact with them, as that allowed him to be the Primer Minister and with this, eventually, give them a position within the government.

The king says that if Hayato is fine with that, he will allow it. He says that All Britannia is one if the dearest wishes of the Federation of Britannia. So with this, the duel is settled bo happen the next day at noon.

The Pope asks if she can be there as an spectator. The king says that it's ok. After that, the Pope leaves the place, before saying that she will be under their care (Hayato and Emilia) as she will be staying here in the palace. Then Douglas leaves the place along with his bodyguard.

Hayato is inside Emilia's bedroom, which is located right next to his in the second floor of the guest's building at the west side of the palace. Royal family lives in the eastern building.

Emilia opened the Tablet PC so they can inform all that happened to the Prez, she manipulated as Hayato does not get along with devices. They talked about this, and how the demand of Douglas could have a very bad impact to the relations in Britannia, more than Gudenburg. As this must be resolved in a duel, Claire is surprised about this. They told her about the Pope, and that she might be there visiting the king of Gudenburg as he was ill. Claire says that she does not knows her personally, but that her magic power is very high. It is known that her ability exceeds human knowledge. It might be something like a sixth sense, with which she predicted the second attack. Then she sent the personal info about Douglas to the intel department of Little Garden.
 After they finised talking with her, a couple of minutes passed and an incoming call from Charlotte was on the Tablet PC.
She told them that his power was acceptable, and that the average of his ability power is pretty high, values that are closer to Liddy. He has never fought against Savage, he has never been a participant in an official game, there's no records of that. But there are reports that he has never lose a single duel. Then she said that this might be due to "Dual Act". Emilia reacted, surprised.
Dual Act allows the deployment of two hundreds simultaneously.
What he does is to deploy a second Hundred in the middle of a duel.
It is extremely rare to do a Dual Act, as it is more difficult than deploying a full armament.

Emilia asks how much is the % for Hayato to win. Charlotte estimates that he has an 80% to win. Even LiZA has given the same answer. The thing is such ability 'is not recorded', so Douglas doesn't know about it.

Charo ends the call and Hayato felt sleepy, so he went to his room. Emilia told him to meet with him in her room at 8 AM.

20:00 of the same day.

Claire Harvey is in her Variable Suit. She was called to the battlefield of the arena by Charlotte, and ask why Karen Kisaragi, who's with Latia and Fritz seated in the audience, is there. Charlotte request to Claire to deploy her full armament, and the reason is that a huge machine, 3 meteres long and with a 1.5 height, with a figure of like a spider, was entering the arena. It was a replicant, made by Charlotte. She was not going to lose against Vitaly, that's why she created one too. The replicant operates automatically, it is not controlled by remote or something along those lines, so the reason as to why Karen is in there, is if the replicant lose control. She has the same power as Kirishima Sakura. That is, to contain Savage in case they lose control. Within the test, Claire won, but she felt surprised as this replicant can deploy a barrier to block damage. This is thanks to a Variable Stone. In the end the replicant didn't lose control, but Buster Cannon did a good job by dealing a hole in the body of the replicant.
Claire felt that was not a huge challenge, but this was kinda like a practice for the next fight.
Right after that, Liddy did her entrance, and with a strange unit in her back. It was an <<Outer Armor>> Thruster. Charlotte called it <<Air Combat Use Armor>> Air Ride. This operates with a Variable Stone, which is inserted in it, and it is designed to connect with the extensions in her back, so it can attack and fly.

This equipment has missile launchers, along with machine guns, one to each side of the shoulders.
It's been a week since Liddy started to use Air Ride, and Claire is astonished about this fact.

As she just need to send instructions to the Variable Stone, it is like a "Dual Act", but less complicated.

It is said that less than ten people in the world can deploy Dual Act. Liddy request to have a duel against Claire, and so they prepared for it. While they were dueling, a scene of Liddy in the past is presented. It was three years ago when she met Claire for the first time.

She was a talented Slayer, in a town located in Liberia. She dedicated herself day after day to train. The reason was that his father was killed during the second attack. But she was not registered by her parents, so she was called an illegitimate daughter, because she was born from an adulterous relationship. They were very poor, her mother has a weak constitution, so she decided to be an Slayer to earn money and with that make her mother have a better life.

It was at her training site that Claire appeared, Liddy had only a regular unnamed Hundred, not like the exclusive Dragoon, Alisterion, that Claire had. Liddy was challenged to a duel by her, and lost in less than a minute. But Claire found that she was stronger than expected, so she offered to her to come with her to Warslan. In the end, Claire convinced her to come with her, and so, Liddy sees her as a model, a person she wants to be. But what she really wants is to be recognized by her. The duel in the present continues, and even so Liddy was very close to achieve a victory, the damage Air Ride received along with her injuries, made Liddy to lose. Claire told her that she has indeed got stronger, and Liddy gave her thanks.

A couple of Slayers from the army of Liberia are taking a rest in the streets of Sangria, these guys were sent as part of the assisting group to repair Little Garden. suddenly, a figure appears before them. It was a young wearing a black hoodie. They asked him what he wanted in a defiant tone, as they were a little drunk.
What he told to them was unthinkable. He wanted their Hundreds. He smiled devilishly. Three minutes later, one of the Slayer was injured in his shoulder, the other one, was lying down with a wound in his chest, and with a puddle of blood beneath him.
The boy picked up the Hundred, and ate them. As it was impossible to leave witnesses, he ended up creating an spear in his hands, and started to attack the one who was still alive. The screams and sounds of flesh being ripped apart echoed in the night of the city.
