The bundled cable dilemma

In Computer Craft 1.6, there were API changes. This means that bundled cable from old versions of MFR and Project Red doesn't work.

TO USE CC 1.6 with bundled cable:
You will need:
  Project Red 4.5.0 build #50 (At least)
and/or
  MinefactoryReloaded 2.8.0RC3-591 (At least)
