  1. So'Uill could not take what was happening. It had followed occult energy upwards, forwards, towards a place far colder than it should be. That was it. After that it was scrambling so as to not be stepped n among other things. Then there were the clashing f the same, shining blades it had learned to hate. It had to flee then.
  2.
  3. Now it was back within its known Wychwoods. All the same, So'Uill's body was kept low to the ground, its eyes wide as it tried to process where was where and what was what. It... it wanted to grow more powerful so that things of that nature... yes, it could... it could then devour the very energy from the air!
  4.
  5. So'Uill walked with its chest puffed out a bit, its gangly limbs carrying it about. It was about time it had regrown them anyways, despite the fact they were terribly sensitive to some things, even after all this time.
  6.
  7. So'Uill stopped in a clearing. What to do now? It licked its maw, then went on to lick its eyes clean. Its head swung from side to side so as to get an idea of what the woods held at the moment. Yokai were always the best meal.
  8. (So'Uill)
  9. It was a long day. Dodging through traffic as armies upon armies had seemed to rush by and get ready for war. As to what seemed to be hours passing by would he only find himself at a dead end in the woods.
  10.
  11. For the first time in his life had he ever been confused about what to do. So he just went on a walk. Soon to find a familiar yokai standing infront of him with its black ink skin.
  12.
  13. Smiling, he would approach it from the front. Saying quiet as always. Just staring at it. Face to face
  14. (Nerian)
  15. The Yokai paused, its eyes now focused upon a scent that was vaguely familiar. It was some two-legs, which instantly made it defensive, but what caught its attention was the fact the scent was not assosciated with danger. Slowly it rose once again, though the suspecious tint in its red eyes was very obvious if one were to look closely.
  16.
  17. It watched him, its body uncurled unlike usual. While its memory did not pair this two-legs with something dangerous, it was not too sure he was completely harmless all the same. In a sense, it was almost disappointing it was still s small during the time this one particular two-legs had seen it.
  18.
  19. Its body curled up into the common ball it usually was in, So'Uill watching the two-legs. Its jaws parted, tongue slithering to lol to the side-- it was prepared to lunge if it had to. Right now it continued to watch.
  20. (So'Uill)
  21. 'Interesting' Nerian thought to himself as he watched the creature before him jump into a defensive pose. Suddenly would he begin to think that these lesser's weren't as brain dead as he had thought before. Which made him a bit off, but he didn't care so much as it was just simply for observation. Nothing more, nothing less. Most likely to get the time to pass by though.
  22.
  23. Taking a step forward would be the time when he lifted both hands. Showing that he had no weapons on his body, except the one on his back and the on at his belt. Other than that, he was clear. Plus nothing was in his hand but air. So maybe the lesser would understand that as non threatening.
  24.
  25. But suddenly an odd gesture would be made by the creature as it curled up into a common ball as it watched him. It's jaw would then part as his tougne began to wiggle about. Making Nerian cringe to the mere sight of it. Causing him to take a few steps backwards before coming to a stop.
  26.
  27. "No harm. . ." he whispered out silently as he watched the creature carefully
  28. (Nerian)
  29. A gesture? So'Uill watched, its body pressed upon the grund as it looked up at Nerian. What did that mean? It was distracted enough to not see the glimmer and gleam of metal upon his back or waist, but at the moment that did not matter. The lesser uncurled, its six limbs carrying it closer as it looked at the gesture.
  30.
  31. What did it mean?
  32.
  33. The sound of Nerian's voice was something else that was curious. It was neither aggressive nor full of malice. Its eyes narrowed into slits, the yokai opening its jaws a bit more so as to allow it to hiss: a low, threatening sound.
  34.
  35. At the first sudden movement, So'Uill would spring forwards to knock Nerian down and rip at his face. Well, if it could, anyways.
  36. (So'Uill)
  37. A small chuckle would escape Nerian's lips as he watched the lesser look up to him in confusement. It was strange but interesting. He couldn't believe the amount of shock that it contained within it's eyes. Causing him to help himself to a smile.
  38.
  39. Soon the lesser would uncurl itself. It uncurled itself to the point where it was standing now. But, it had a different expression on its face as he edged closer towards him. Its eyes narrowed into slits as its jaws unhinged from its now open maw. Then a low his would ring out as it charged forwards and attempted to knock Nerian over and do what only the Great Spirits know.
  40.
  41. The sudden rush from the lesser was crazy as he hadn't expected it. But at the same time, the way as to how it rushed towards him. The act alone itself was crazy enough. Even more so as when the Yokai had came meters away from him. It would seem as if the creature was moving in slow motion. The sight shocked him as it slowly made it's way towards him. Only that it would seem to come at him with the attmempt of knocking him off his feet. To which he couldn't help but laugh as he would side step the attack and place his right foot out, right over the yokai's foot and watched it fall over as time and space seemed to go back into place.
  42.
  43. Thud! A loud crash would occur with the yokai now on the floor and a laughing Nerian would now be on scene.
  44.
  45. What had happened? He truly didn't know
  46. (Nerian)
  47. The yokai did not expect to be tripped as it did. Its legs had tangled and then collided with Nerian's outstretched leg, which caused it to flip over-- right? All the same, it was squirming in the dirt, eyes wide as its mind tried to process what had just happened.
  48.
  49. When it landed upon the ground, it had scared off a smaller rabbit which had been hiding in the brush. This sudden motion and sound caused the lesser to hiss and almost yowl in its irritation. Why would it not get up as quickly as it wanted? This was frustrating.
  50.
  51. When it, finally, did roll onto its feet and hands again, the creature looked up at the two-legs and hissed loudly yet again. Its body curled up into a ball once again, its jaws still parted in the angry hiss.
  52.
  53. What a day today was turning out to be.
  54. (So'Uill)
  55. It was a hysterical sight, yes indeed. The creature had crashed into the ground hard. Then after that, it started to move around in the dirt as if it was a worm. Measly trying to get free of a humans hold. To which he smiled and began to think about what it would try next.
  56.
  57. What had came to his thought was even more hilarious as he watched a rabbit get scared out of hiding and charge off for the woods. With the direction that he was heading to. It was better for him to stay here with the two. Who knows what could happen to a rabbit heading towards war. Only pain he assumed.
  58.
  59. But that wasn't even the best part as th lesser would begin to curl up into a ball ocne again, Only that it's jaws were still agape and prepared to bite down on something as it hissed.
  60.
  61. To which Nerian growled back fiercely, only to start to burst into laughter once more. It was fun to do this! Even better when it wasn't him. So he would take it as he had the chance as of now.
  62.
  63. "You know what. . . We should go hunting to find you something to eat "He began to say
  64. (Nerian)
  65. The lesser yokai was intimidated by the growling-- Nerian was much taller than itself. Its body was pulled back, though claws dug into the ground all the same. The laughter that followed made it feel something else. Weakness? Not quite. Something akin to embarrasment. Was it really that pathetic to be laughed at like a joke?
  66.
  67. So'Uill neither liked this two-legs, but at least this kind of tomfoolery was nothing like the pain it had endured with its limbs being hacked off. It shuddered at the thought, but that must mean that pain had brought it some experience...
  68.
  69. The lesser slowly stopped hissing, its jaws closing as it just stared at Nerian. It was... observing him, though there was still a tinge of distaste for him. Making a fool of the next predator!
  70. (So'Uill)
  71. A crude smile would be formed upon his lips as he walked over to the lesser as it had seemed to be enraged as it dug its claws into the ground. It's anger seemed to vibrate off of him as radiation off an atomic bomb.
  72.
  73. Lesser's were quite interesting to be infact. They weren't sane. Or even smart. Just driven off of instinct as it followed the rules of survival. Nothing could change it, nothing would. So all in all. It would seem as if out of every kind of yokai he had yet to meet. The lesser was the most interesting. He had yet to see a Kaor though. Even though he heard those were the cooliest. He didn't know. Just because he had yet to see one. Which made him tempt himself to pat the creature on it's head.
  74.
  75. Which seemed to cause the creature to stop hissing. It's jaws closed as it just stared at him with it's beady eyes. Making Nerian kinda freaked out at first. But then honored. He shushed up a lesser.
  76.
  77. "Good. . . ." he said silently as he continued to pet it's head with one hand.
  78. (Nerian)
  79. The hand on its head was immediately met with the creature ducking, then twisting its body in order to latch its jaws about Nerian's hand. It was not going to accept being treated like a common animal-- no, So'Uill had more sense than that. It was growing and it was going to demand respect from this two-legs if it had to!
  80.
  81. If it managed to latch its jaws upon Nerian's hand, it would then sharply tug downwards, tongue slithering to try and keep the hand within its mouth, filled with backwards-pointing teeth like a snake's.
  82.
  83. Otherwise, if the hand was removed, So'Uill just faltered and fell on its face.
  84. (So'Uill)
  85. Akerd had a axe on his back looking for the right tree. it was here somewhere. he had a satchel hanging from his shoulder. inside were his blacksmiths hammer, pickaxe and some assorted ore. on his back wqas a woodcutting axe that had seen a little use.
  86.
  87. streching and yawning he looked around. there was yokai and animals throughout the forest, it was nothing new and needed no attention, but he also saw a limbles yokai jumping at a Ookami boy. deciding to try out some mana manipulation he attempted to focus mana in his legs. it was somewhat succseful giving him a little bit of speed.
  88.
  89. sprinting twoards the yokai he grabbed it by the head stopping on a dime. Akerds armor glistend in the forest sun as he caught his breath. his bright red color scheme would be suprising to anyone not used to such bright colors.
  90.
  91. "Are you allright?" Akerd asked Nerian timidly. he wonderd if he could get him to join the magi rangers. or if he was a good person. looking at the creature now in his grip Akerd wonderd where they came from. he was never really told his dad had taught him about everything but religion and how yokai like this came to be. he knew nothing about them other then they had attacked him quite a bit while he searched for his brother. also that a Kaor yokai ripped his brother in half.
  92. (Akerd Ounder)
  93. "So cute" Nerian would say as the lesser ducked away from Nerian's grasp and attempted to chew at his hand.
  94.
  95. Ooh no! He wasn't going to end up like that other Ookami that he saw this thing with, and he could tell that the lesser didn't have a good ending with that other Ookami due to its current state. So he would just have to smile towards the creature as he watched it jump towards his figure. In which he side stepped to watch it once again. Fall flat on it's face.
  96.
  97. Hysterics would pop out of his mouth as he began to laugh once more. Outloud and all as he couldn't contain himself to the stupidity of the creature. Was him being this fast such a great thing? Perhaps? Who knew? Maybe.
  98.
  99. But then suddenly. A blur would speed right by him and soon hit the yokai beside him. The lesser was suddenly grabbed by the head as a person in all red armor was standing by him. It confused him at such but before he could say anything else. The red person in armor would ask him if he was alright. To which he responded with.
  100.
  101. "How. . . did you do that?" he questioned. Ignoring the red armors previvous question towards him.
  102.
  103. As not convinced enough. He picked up a stone from the ground and threw it towards the person in armor. Only to find it bounce of his armor and fall harmlessly to the ground below.
  104.
  105. 'So much for thinking he had great reflexes' he thought to himself as he shrugged and repeated his question.
  106.
  107. "How did you move so fast?"
  108. (Nerian)
  109. The lesser was grabbed by the head, its limbs flailing as it struggled to... do something. Really, it was not going to be disrespected as it was! Struggling, arms reaching for the newcomer's wrist, it tried to dig its claws into his skin so as to get him to release it!
  110.
  111. How demeaning. The yokai was to be respected! Feared! Not tossed around some a ball in some game. Soon enough it will eat the hand that was holding it! Not now-- the grasp was something that was a bit too tight upon its skull.
  112.
  113. A nasty hissing sound left its jaws, So'Uill feeling disrespected as it struggled to get to the ground and perhaps attack with the wrath of a bear! Yes, that should do-- the wrath of a god! It blinked senselessly. It was angry, that was certain.
  114.
  115.
  116. (So'Uill)
  117. Akerd was confused as to why a rock was thrown at him but instead of questioning it he just ignored it. "Uhh. that was a move using mana in the legs.. I was practiceing my control of mana just like White said. I'm part of a group called the magi rangers, we fight Evil I guess. I dont know if these things are evil but they atack a lot of people so... maybe?"
  118.
  119. Akerd was still unsure. he was the leader of the rangers yet he was still not stronger or smarter then the others. and felt he didn't desreve to be called leader. his brother must have been strong to recive the title. though being ripped in half was not a good way to go he was glad his brother had made so many frenids.
  120.
  121. The yokai began hissing in his hand and clawing at his arm. it didn't hurt because of the armor protecting his arms. he squezed the yokais head a little bitter harder in hoped he would stop squirming but it would likely have the oppisite effect. "By the way.. are you a good guy or a bad guy?"
  122.
  123. Akerd was going to invite him to the magi rangers but he needed to be sure this Ookami was a good guy before asking. it was a dangerous grouyp to be in. evil dosen't ignore its wounds it bites back and it bites back hard leaving nothing left but a suit to be filled. he haed been told the rangers were all about being replaced when they died and he was fine with that, as long as he got to see his family in the afterlife. he knew they were waiting for him.
  124.
  125.
  126. (Akerd Ounder)
  127. "Using mana in your legs you say. . . practicing your control of mana?. . ." he repeated confusingly.
  128.
  129. He didn't know one bit as to how to use mana, or even to move it towards his legs to give him a boost. Whatever the guy was on. It could help him to possibly be the fastest there is. If anything. He might just be too fast and end up running through time. But that was just impossible. . . Was it?
  130.
  131. The guy in armor would then begin to ask him if he was a good guy or bad guy as the yokai began to rip at his arm. But the armor prevented any real damage. Which awed him at first but his attention was pulled back to his stare.
  132.
  133. Not even thinking about it. Nerian gave his response.
  134.
  135. "It depends on who I'm talking too. "
  136.
  137. He didn't really care for the good side or bad side. He just wanted to live. So if it would take for him to be a good guy or a bad guy for a day to live another. That he would do.
  138.
  139. "Why do you ask, boy-who-has-yet-to-say-his-name"
  140. (Nerian)
