86 Volume 12: Holy Blue Bullet Summary

INTRODUCTION: MARY BLUE'S SANCTUARY
- Intro discusses the life of Mere, a kid living in the Giad Special Ward of Mary Lazulia, they were discussing invading creatures/people here and how their Lord (the noble leader) and his family will help them using hmm Feldreß, I think
- The nobles here too are local royals of some sort. Not sure if they're related to Fred. One of their royals is a girl named Noele.
- Mary Lazulia is a prosperous city near a very prosperous farm, people live there properly and happily. They also have power plants.
- This is a depiction of life six months before the Giad revolution
- In the Regicide Fleet countries a strange baby Leviathan mermaid is being described, more than three meters in size, lurking in icy waters, and has diamond-shaped eyes. They just appeared outta nowhere. They're also moving away from Regicide towards some place.

CHAPTER 1: THE GENTLE AND BEAUTIFUL QUEEN MARY'S SUPPOSEDLY BEAUTIFUL AND KIND WORLD
- We then go into part of Chapter One
- VIKA VS FRED FIGHT CONTINUATION
- Vika suspects who Fred is. Misses the mark and thinks she's a Nouzen or something.
- Vika throws hands at Fred (verbally), fuck him
- Legion commanders confirmed?
- Vaclav Milizé confirmed as No-Face outright, also possibly new Legion units made of 86 brain scans appearing
- Three new units: Mistress (based on Zelene Birkenbaum's high-mobility type) and the Schwertwal and Ferdinand
- Also Legion Shepherd units function like Sirins now, they're now recyclable.
- Latest No-Face directives: gather info and prepare for massive attack on the Giad Federacy
- LENA PTSD MOMENT (also why is she in her negligee—oh shit she can't sleep)
- Shin visits Lena in her room, BUT WITH ISABELLA (smh)
- Isabella and Shin push her to go to a vacation for mental rehab
- New Nouzen guy named Yatrai interrogates Zelene
- The Nouzens, Maikas, Brantlotes, Ernst and the other Giad higher-ups meet
- Yatrai is among the current Nouzen successors as Shin's granddad doesn't want to bother Shin with politics, as he was never involved with that. He and his older brother, the other successor, Miitsu, say they would back Shin being the heir apparent if Shin would marry one of Miitsu's daughters (Nouzen family does not allow women to succeed as they're a patriarchy)
- To clarify stuff, by this volume, only Joschka is aware Shin has a GF. Gelda Maika and Seiei Nouzen have seen Lena, but whether they know of her new status as Shin's significant other remains to be seen. Yatrai and the Nouzens per se are unaware.
- 86 SP getting a vacation to heal, military higher ups decide to enforce this on them due to Richard's death
- Everyone faces their own traumas, and Lorica Sacra failure
- Also 86SP deals with the whole thing by use of gory movies lol
- Shin has a motorcycle license and he likes to ride. Vika loves horror and gory movies, Dustin can't really bear that kind of thing.
- Lena is on her own vacation to heal in a sanatorium with a farm due to PTSD attacks not letting her eat and sleep, or even talk to anyone. Currently she's trying to learn how to ride a horse
- Previously btw Lena and Shin were actually in cooking classes. Shin can cook well following recipes. Lena now knows how to break eggs properly, without a hammer
- Claude and Henry meet again, Henry survives both LSOs. Cue very tearful meeting with cameos from Shin's priest guardian and Raiden's old teacher
- Traitors turn out to be brainwashed 86 kids passing info to the Alba through Para-RAID implants with massive range, planted on the back of their necks and connected to their ears. Said kids (one in particular, too) have been tortured (physically and mentally) in such heinous ways to the point they can't undo any brainwashing
- 86 SP info leaked from the Alba due to them being careless in their wireless comms and it got intercepted by the Legion
- Willem and Annette working out to help and flush out said "traitors". These Alba Handlers have been arrested. Annette has guessed who said traitors are by V4. She has been cooperating with Willem since V6.
- Said meeting is why Theo was surprised to see Annette in the base as he was training more cadets these days. Annette had a grumpy face due to this whole messy situation, hence that image. She actually didn't notice Theo there.
- This ends with Annette interviewing one of said 86 kids, and how the brainwashing has affected the kid horribly, he was calling himself "lowly male pig slave" in front of said Alba scumbag.
- Continuing on Ch1, Theo and Yuuto gets interrogated on 86 wiretap kids. Kids get locked in custody by the military police.
- A regiment of citizens from the Special City of Mary Lazulia deserts from the Giad Federacy, and declare it via intercomms on public. They’re called the Hail Mary Regiment, led by a noble named Noele (the Noele earlier) and her love interest, Mere (Yes that kid from the Intro). They just declared all-out war against the Legion and (well sort of) against Ernst’s Federacy, and says their special weapon against the Legion are their holy nuclear weapons.
- Ernst gets PISSED, but he and his officials point out all the holes on the Hail Mary Regiment’s nuclear plans
- Hail Mary Regiment get into a zone filled with rivers and also take out shipments of nuclear fuel to make several types of nuclear bombs in an abandoned power plant where they used to live. They handle this without special equipment. They are spotted by the Legion, as well as the baby Leviathan.

CHAPTER 2: MARY SUE'S PARADE
-  A Giad Army Regiment led by Niam Miarona(?), a nuclear power specialist, is sent to contain/take care of the Hail Mary Regiment and recover or at least contain the nukes. The 86SP are sent out to defend Miarona and co, as they're not experienced with both handling nuclear weapons OR controlling dissidents. Shin is the current de facto leader of the SP in Lena's absence, with Grethe having command as always. Dustin is also not included in the mission as he was refrained from participating by the doctor in Chapter 1.
- Ishmael and co survives, as well as Olivia and co. Their respective units assist the 86SP. Vika, Lerche and Zasya help as well.
- Ishmael says Esther and his other comrades from the Fleet Countries are among the casualties in the second LSO.
- Shin asks Vika about the Cicada, in relation to Lena, Anju and Kurena. Shin says he wants to lop Vika's head off with a shovel and throw his body to the ocean. Vika makes a hasty exit and lets Lerche deal with the aftermath, Lerche offers her head to Shin, Shin says she's not the one in the wrong here, and her head isn't even attached so it's no use.
- Shin gets asked by Ishmael whether he and Lena used the ambergris from V9. He invokes his right to remain silent THE LITTLE SHIT
- During the 86SP mission briefing, Anju says she misses Dustin but endures it due to current situation
- This chapter is a whole clown show: the Hail Mary Regiment is comprised of uneducated serfs bitter about Mary Lazulia's loss of prosperity after the Giad revolution, and nobles loyal to Noele's family. They do not have any good ideas about the nukes they have except they go pew pew, and calls it "holy blue flame" and are too much in close contact with the radioactive material.
- Another clown show of this part: Ishmael was angry that he and his group are part of the recon and yet they were not given proper equipment for this.
- The Hail Mary Regiment members gets sicker due to radioactive poisoning, but they test out the nuke against the Legion anyways, which prove to be NOT effective as it only blows up a truck. The Legion also spots the baby Leviathan out there.
- The Hail Mary Regiment either weaken themselves by their members dying due to radioactive poisoning (as they were handling the dirty bombs without proper equipment), or their positions spotted by the 86SP, with the surviving members escaping or put into custody by the 86SP
- Chapter 2 ends with the Hail Mary Regiment being chased by the Federacy's Vanagandrs, and all are being attacked by the baby Leviathan.

CHAPTER 3: GRANT OUR PRAYER, HAIL MARY
- The baby Leviathan gets mad and laser pew pews several Vanagandrs to oblivion. Noele and the Hail Mary Regiment see this as a divine sign for them to continue on their nuke plans.
- Ishmael and his Fleet Countries group are among those doing recon: one Giad official asks him if they could train the baby Leviathan to attack the Legion, and Ishmael says if they could do so, they would have so a long time ago LOL
- The official, Olivia, Zasya and Ishmael talk about how dragons are now extinct, and Ishmael states if they faced an adult Leviathan, everyone would have been absolutely dead by now (as well as the potential in training bebe Leviathan to attack the Legion or something, they can't really let this topic go LMAO)
- Grethe and Shin cuts the convo and discuss attack plans on the Leviathan and moving forward how to capture the Hail Mary Regiment
- The Legion realize the Hail Mary Regiment desertion, saw their nukes, and they also spotted the 86SP coming after the former, and so launches a mission to capture Shin and Vika.
- Noele and Mere apparently have feelings for each other (in a parallel to Shin and Lena, WOW), and this as well as their general bitterness with Giad led to their desertion. Also... as the Hail Mary Regiment continue to lose more men due to radioactive poisoning, we learn Noele is a kind of easy to lead person by the nose and her followers are now controlling the flow of leadership, and they plan to use the baby Leviathan against Miarona's regiment (Lady Bluebird) and the 86SP, and they're now ignoring the nukes
- Shin gets tired on the development of the Hail Mary shit show, and shows his pathetic side to the Spearhead due to him suffering from a serious Lena shortage LMAO
- Kurena makes Shin call Lena using her Para-RAID, and the Spearhead, along with Frederica, discuss Kurena's growth while doing this
- Frederica breaks down, apologizing as she couldn't do anything nor help anyone in V11's Operation Lorica Sacra (the mission's failure bothers her due to her secret identity), the Spearhead gang tells her to chill out as she's also the pivotal key to this war overall.
-  Lena shares funny stories from the sanatorium to Shin.
- The scene shifts to Yuuto, who is still in the hospital, and is talking to a young 86 girl named Amari (who is among those who didn't fight and was adopted by a guardian family). Currently all 86 kids who didn't serve in the Strike Package are being interrogated. Amari and Yuuto are worried about the 86 kids with wiretapping implants, and if the Federacy will truly protect them overall.
- Theo and Annette see each other in the PX in the Sankt Jeder base. Annette calls herself a traitor and berates herself for not saving those wiretapped kids earlier. Theo comforts her and asks her to join him getting snacks and coffee.
- Back on the hospital, Amari leads Yuuto to talk to Chitori, a beautiful 86 girl, another who refused to enlist to the 86SP and is under the care of a Giadian guardian. One of her "sisters" is already under interrogation, and Chitori says "they do not have much time left", so she in a desperate tone, she asks Yuuto about--scene then cuts.
- 86SP watch an anime explaining the dangers of nukes, and Miarona explains stuff further to Shiden and co, and they discuss the Hail Mary Regiment getting the death penalty due to treason.
- Zasya compares the 86 to the HMR and others, saying the members of the SP have "quality of kings", and they learn even if no one obeys them, while the HMR can only be sheep and just follow their leaders, or blame others. Miarona said something like "sheep should have followed their rulers but should stop blaming others for not knowing what they want". Marcel, however, thinks the opposite of this. Fred talks about how Noele, despite being a ruler, lacks the quality of thinking and learning, and determination to be one.
- Back to the Hail Mary Regiment, Noele's followers lead her about again, them trying to put the baby Leviathan under their control. One of her followers, Ninha, gain a bit of sense and cautions everyone of the danger of nukes. This part shows how Noele felt she was given the burden to "save" her comrades from the Federacy.
- Moving to Shin at recon mode, and for some reason, he hears the baby Leviathan's voice, like how he hears the Legion voices.
- Grethe asks if he's tired or strained, and suggests to him to wear the Cicada to lessen the strain of hearing Legion voices, an idea Shin TOTALLY SHOT DOWN. Grethe then says the Cicada won't really do shit with his ability LOL
- Ninha surrenders to the Bluebird Regiment and the 86SP and exchanges info for--scene cuts
- Bluebird, 86SP move towards capturing the HMR, Ishmael cautions everyone to move carefully due to the baby Leviathan.
- During their sortie, Fred talks to Ishmael about his survivor's guilt, which in a sense helps him
- Moving to Tohru and Claude, who talk about his brother Henry and latter letting go of guilt for not saving his brother
- HMR moves, and baby Leviathan is spotted, and everyone is batshit afraid of it due to how it looks and its size as it roared
- Bluebird and 86SP locates baby Leviathan and presumes HMR location. The Legion moves, too, deploying a new unit called Termite Five, to capture their 86SP targets.
- One of the 86SP's aims is to help other Giad regiments destroy a dam in order to create a wetland which the Legion couldn't cross easily. However, this will also destroy nearby important farmland in the process. All parties involve continue their sortie, and Raiden and co spots a large-ass weird spider-looking Legion unit with a crane and several arms on the lake near the dam.

CHAPTER 4: MARY'S LITTLE LAMB AND THE USUAL SHEEP-HUNTING SKELETONS
- Back at the sanatorium, Lena plays with dogs and several farm animals, and one large black dog with a scarf likes to rub himself on her, and it reminded her of Shin LMAO. She prays for everyone's safety in battle.
- Fiasco ensues as the new large-ass spider-like Legion unit throws self-propelled mines at every human and enemy unit it spots, unit is later then named Aranea.
- Various 86SP units continue their tasks at hand, preparing to help on the dam while strategizing how to beat the Aranea. Other Legion appear and the 86SP gets placed in danger as said units have optical camouflage, but Olivia helps them beat said units as he foresees them attacking
- In another part of the battlefield, far away, several Federacy soldiers who hid in pillboxes helped 86SP's Canaan and his unit, who were left behind during the second LSO in the Republic border(?), and they were fighting Legion units with optical camouflages. Later, they get all rescued by Federacy soldiers, and the pillbox soldiers have apparently also rescued refugee children from the Fleet Countries. This later raises morale with the SP after learning of the rescue, especially that of Tohru's.
- Tohru and Claude's group, as well as Kurena's, help in the battle on the dam as well as against the Aranea, and eventually the SP, with Ishmael and Olivia's help, developed a counter against units with optical camouflage using their surrounding elements (like mud, paint, etc).
- 86SP continues to battle the Aranea, Marcel, Lerche and co helping with the battle. Mere of HMR sees this, he was in another detached unit to capture the baby Leviathan.
- Heavy battle continues and Shin in Undertaker gets thrown away while battling the Aranea, but he survives. They eventually manages to destroy it.
- The HMR hears all of this through radio comms
- During the battle, Frederica rides on Vika's Gadyuka to help observe the baby Leviathan. Vika then is called "Hey, dad!" by the SP due to this, Rito chimes in, saying he wanna see, too, while Zasya tries to sketch this cute scene LMAO
- Lady Bluebird preps their capture ops

CHAPTER 5: BLOODY MARY IN THE FOG
- The Hail Mary Regiment, despite their nukes, gets eventually crushed by the Lady Bluebird Regiment, and Noele and co get massacred brutally before they were even able to detonate the last of their dirty bombs. The HMR tries to call for Noele to save them, but it failed. Ninha, despite surrendering, gets killed as well. Miarona said again sheep should not be let out by their shepherds and masters to act on their own.
- Mere hears all of this through the comms, and decides to take revenge by attacking the baby Leviathan, now called Leuka(?), and leading it to pew pew and vaporize everyone. He and the HMR remnants also try to attack Shin and co.
- Shin and co were about to retaliate (they were about to kill people intentionally this time, something the 86SP members haven't really done per se as they usually destroy Legion) before Mere and co kills them, but Ishmael and the others take the HMR out.
- Shifting to Fred and Vika, where they discuss the quality of kings, of royals and of royals taking responsibility for their people. Fred then tells Vika of her true identity. Vika asks if Shin and Lena knows, to Shin, yes, to Lena, no.
- Vika's reaction: I'll put a caterpillar on Shin's back later, damn him
- Ishmael and the 86SP follow the Leuka to the edge of the lake, and they see the baby Leviathan meet with its parent. Ishmael asks the Leviathan if it recognizes him, while Fido attempts to talk with the Leviathans, which didn't respond.
- The Leviathans finally leave.
- Going back to Ernst: he learns of the HMR's fate. We also learn that he only upholds his ideals to the letter due to "that person" having said ideals in the first place, but he actually doesn't really care that much about everything anymore as "that person" is already gone.
- The dam is eventually bombarded, and it flooded a lot of farmland.
- The Leviathan actually wondered what is that unfamiliar beeping which tried to communicate with them :3
- Henry, Claude's brother, enlists to help in the war efforts again. He thought he'd be discriminated as he's an Alba, and that he abandoned Claude and other stuff the Republic did against the 86, but his fellow soldier just said to him, "That's a rough situation, buddy" and tells him to talk properly with Claude. He and Claude then talk over the phone, and we learned the 86SP returned to base.
- The 86SP finally holds a moon-viewing party (something Kujo suggested when he was still alive), with Shin and Lena making Discord--I mean, Para-RAID voice chats while everyone's partying.
- Including Lena, they all talk about the HMR and their eventual fate. The dirty bombs that the HMR have detonated will not impact the surroundings much due to a Legion unit on the surroundings scavenging and kind of cleaning the area.
- Shin then asks Lena if the 86SP has put burden on Lena, like how the HMR put their burdens on Noele. Lena refutes that, and thanks them for always supporting her.
- Shin says he misses her too much, and he can't get enough of Lena, Lena replies she can't get enough of Shin either :3
- DUSTIN AND ANJU FLIRT AND ANJU LAYS HER HEAD ON DUSTIN'S SHOULDER LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO (yeah they're official now)
- Fred resolves herself to act better as befitting of an empress. Miarona one-sidedly talk with Shiden about nukes, and had Shiden try some food that latter didn't like
- Raiden is making apple rabbits with... Vika?????? Fido tries making some but fails, Vika is surprisingly good with this
- They remember the HMR begging for their princess to save them. Vika says despite being a royal he's not like that, Raiden eventually calls him Vika instead of "Prince", which Raiden did before.
- We then go to Yatrai, who is currently talking to Zelene. They talked about how her recent info was credible, and that the Legion failed to capture Shin and co during the previous operation as the Federacy fed the Legion false info on the 86SP's location. Yatrai offers to kill her, Zelene says as long as Vika and Shin lives and as long as her info can help their battle, she can't die yet.
- Annette asks permission to go out from the Sankt Jeder base, which was granted, but she had bodyguards accompanying her. This is due to hatred by the Giad citizens against the Alba flaring up as everyone now knows of what the Republic did to the 86 kids. The hatred, however, is affecting even Alba who were Federacy citizens. Annette then yearns again to drink a cup of coffee with caramel, with the paper cup having a cat drawn on it.
- Theo is on call with a kid named Miel and asks him about his life in Giad. Miel is the Laughing Fox Commander's son (his name was Sylvain). Miel is amazed at eating real food for the first time, and how the soldiers and officials and everyone was kind to him. Miel is in a special area in Giad now designed to host the Republic refugees. He also tells Theo about how the Republic Alba, especially the Bleachers, are blaming the 86 again and wants the 86 to fight again for the Republic, as there's some people from the Republic are being enlisted to serve the Giad army. Also, as said earlier, the Giad military police are rounding up more Republic Albas due to the 86 wiretapped kids.
- Primevere, the leader of the Bleachers, gets scared as hell on her current refuge. Some of the 86 kids escaped from being interrogated, and news broadcasted of these kids who are on the lam. She sees who they are, and says in a scared tone that "Actaeon" survived, and they escaped.
- A certain Giad soldier, written to be an 86 Strike Package fanboy, resents them as he sees farmland (which is his hometown) being flooded due to their actions on the HMR operation, saying they were supposed to be heroes...
- Shin recalls the death of the HMR and it visibly affects him, Lena notices this, but Shin ignores it and instead talks about preparing for their Halloween party and their costumes. (There's even a Regina Lena reference here lol) Lena proposes for everyone to have werewolf or fluffy beast costumes as she wants to see Shin with dog ears. Shin rejects this :/

FINAL CHAPTER: WELCOME TO MARY JANE'S NIGHTMARE, DEER HUNTER
- No-Face learns the Federacy has fed the Legion false information using the channels the Legion used previously to tap on 86SP info. He praises them for outsmarting the Legion, but he emphasizes the Legion are immortal and unencumbered by emotions, unlike Giad facing a crisis with the Republic right now
- Going back to Yuuto, we learn that he helped Chitori escape from Giad military police interrogation, only telling Amari about the circumstances. He didn't want her to be captured by the Federacy.
- Chitori says they, the "Actaeon", doesn't have much time left, and is asking Yuuto for guidance so they can "go back home, to the Republic."
- Chitori then asks Yuuto if she knows if, among the Republican survivors, there is a man named Dustin Jaeger.
