  1. The dream started in a strange commune-type place. It was a bunch of close houses that had grown to become attached together as one large segmented house, and divided into three segments. The place I'm in was set into three different groups, blue, red, and yellow, and your bracelet would change based on what area you were in? I think it had to do with genetic diversity, since it had been like 15 years since the apocalypse or something. Not too long but long enough for there to be small children. Outside all the doors are basically iron gates, and weird things that were Unsafe were moving outside. So it was very Zombie Apocalypse.
  2.
  3. So, I'm sorta wandering about when I see a tiny baby from yellow ward sorta left alone? And I'm like, hm, and then one of the beasts outside does this bang on the glass and horrible scream and startles the baby, which is my first look at the beast thing but apparently not my character's. The monsters are called no-eyes, because they're basically slow zombies but on their faces are big black holes instead of eyes. It was very spooky.

  5. Anyway, it startled the baby, so I picked the baby up and was soothing them to get them to stop crying which would just agitate the no-eyes, while I took them past the yellow ward kitchen. In the room beyond I found the current night childcare lady preparing a bottle. We got to talking about nothing, when suddenly a little boy peeked his head around the corner and had one big black eye, causing me to scream. She made him take the black circle he had cut out off his face, and went to go scold him.
  6.
  7. So I was waiting alone with this sleeping baby, and I saw shapes moving outside, and found an angle that let me see out the window for a moment. It was like two girls riding bicycles slowly while the no eyes wandered around, which was extra eerie because the girls just sorta stared at me as they went by, not being bothered by the menace. I was definitely creeped out because I could tell these were... not just normal girls, but then I lost sight of them.
  8.
  9. Then, in the dark foggy night lit only by a dimly lit old streetlight, I watched a firetruck slowly pass by. It wasn't rolling though, instead its wheels were acting sort of like caterpillars to make it walk and lurch nearby. It was definitely more horrifying than it sounds, but at the same time, my character was scared but also knew it was just a type of thing you'd see. If you looked into the fog you'd see strange things. But then the lady comes back, I give her the child, and excuse myself to my sector's sleeping area.

  11. The next day I'm listening to this lesbian couple talking about the wait list for them to get this shot that temporarily changes one of their sexual characteristics for the purpose of having a kid and getting frustrated by the long wait time. They were pretty cute but younger than my character who I think was around 40 years old, so I felt protective over them.
  12.
  13. Then I go out the help with schooling. An older man is taking some older kids, like 10, out onto this porch to look at the no-eyes. It's more of a lesson of being safe around them, and it's clear the children have heard it before. We explain how they're dangerous and how a single touch will infect you and how you gotta never turn your back to one. The no-eyes attracted to people, but they don't stick around at communes, because presumably they move between various ones. I'm sorta just keeping the kids in line as this monster stares at them from the other side of this iron fence.
  14.
  15. Next I got ready to go out in this bus on a supply run. This old man who is sorta in charge of the commune kinda... merges with the bus? He's at the wheel and suddenly he also IS the bus and is making it stretch weird while we go out, keeping us safe from the no-eyes somehow. We raid a super market where old ads keep... animating and popping to life. One of the ads is to turn you into a dragon. Basically, you spent a ton of money, and you'd get a bunch of extra matter as well as the programming instructions for the the nano-machines to quickly restructure you into a dragon.
  16.
  17. The nano-machines were a ubiquitous thing of how the world worked before the apocalypse. Everyone ended up having them to help deal with illnesses and broken bones and stuff. So the shot from earlier wasn't more nano-machines, but was programming instructions for the machines already in people. And at some point the nano-machines got some kind of virus that created the No-Eyes, like a computer virus that took them over and made them turn people into monsters that wanted to touch other people to spread itself. Other monsters out there were similar, just trapped in other weird non-human forms.
  18.
  19. We got back just in time for a raid of a bunch of no-eyes, which mostly meant checking door locks and being watchful as they smashed against gates and walls and made their weird screaming sound. It was spooky, but then I woke up.
