  1. [22:47] Douma says, "..."
  2. [22:48] Douma says, "Excuse me."
  3. [22:48] "Yes. There's no need to sully your hands with the blood of some child."
  4.
  5. It felt.. beneath the notice, to say the least- after all, to actively seek out someone this weak, this young felt lowly; it's not about morals, per se, but moreso about the shame of the act - of an apex predator settling for something so little.
  6.
  7. Still, his gaze turns towards the reading. The Moon..?
  8.
  9. "--Hrm."
  10.
  11. It's rather quaint, for many things as of late seem to be tied into that peculiar event.. and it brought about resolution like no other- many questions have appeared within his mind as well, the decisions to take which could not be possibly chosen before. But..
  12.
  13. "How odd."
  14.
  15. "Fairly.. accurate, I'd say."
  16.
  17. In this case, it means it's relevant. After all, if the reading had little to actually do with Seneval, it would be easy to tell, but.. in this scenario?
  18.
  19. It seems to be more relevant than ever.
  20.
  21. "Good reading."
  22. (Senev疝)
  23. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  24.
  25. [22:48] Senev疝 says, "--"
  26. [22:49] Senev疝 turns to glance at arriving group.. was Uber getting many calls today?
  27. (Senev疝)
  28. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  29.
  30. [22:49] Douma whispers something.
  31. [22:49] Senev疝 whispers something.
  32. [22:49] Seneca waved to Seneval.
  33. (Seneca)
  34. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  35.
  36. [22:49] The Magnolian shuffled her cards patiently, still smiling.
  37.
  38. "Does anyone else wish to draw a card for their fortune?"
  39. (Hiru)
  40. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  41.
  42. [22:49] Senev疝 asks, "Hm..?"
  43. [22:49] Senev疝 says, "Did I not tell you to come back when you're stronger.."
  44. [22:49] Senev疝 says, "Actually I don't remember what I told you."
  45. [22:49] He quickly raised his hand
  46. "Me!"
  47. (Skyul Sork)
  48. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  49.
  50. [22:49] Seneca says, "I was so out of it I don't even know."
  51. [22:49] Sum says, "O- Oh...."
  52. [22:49] Seneca asks, "But this is a different place anyways so technically either way I followed- Did you say fortune telling?"
  53. [22:50] Hiru says, "Yes...."
  54. [22:50] Move.
  55.
  56. Just as such a demon had witnessed that very same human, just as such a demon had seen those which had stood against their kind? Such a monster needed not even a second of hesitation, such a beast needed not even a breath to be drawn inwards.
  57.
  58. Beneath such a Moonlit glow, Douma moved without pause.
  59.
  60. "... Die." The unquenchable and burning sensation of rage which had so swelled around this monster one which continued to build. Humans which had stood alongside those which had taken, which had wounded such a monster being more than enough of a reason.
  61.
  62. Their blade undrawn, the sickening and deafening cry of Tsuchigumo echoing outwards.
  63.
  64. Aimed for the neck of Seneca.
  65. (Douma)
  66. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  67.
  68. [22:50] He walked over with his hand raised
  69. "I literally asked first."
  70. (Skyul Sork)
  71. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  72.
  73. [22:50] Seneca says, "Can I- Oh jeez."
  74. [22:51] Hiru says, "--"
  75. [22:51] Sum says, "P- Please.... Stop...."
  76. [22:51] Skyul Sork says, "Yeah we should stop that person from getting a reading first."
  77. [22:51] Ouranos says, "Nature man! Let the flaming girl go."
  78. [22:51] Ouranos says, "So boring, she shined so bright and let off such a remarkable display."
  79. [22:52] Ouranos says, "No need for a further show."
  80. [22:52] Skyul Sork asks, "Hey green helmet man can we still talk about borders after this?"
  81. [22:52] Emerald eyes widened. Someone who had approached her for a reading - being so quick to be sentenced to death by Douma. It left her frightened, and there was a startled gasp. Hiru clutching her cards tightly to her chest as she'd gaze at the Demon.
  82.
  83. "Please stop! Please don't do this! Leave him alone!" She begged now, arguing for the lives of humans. Desperately.
  84. (Hiru)
  85. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  86.
  87. [22:53] Aren quietly watched, glimmering golden gaze fixed on Athena. Within her, her chest clenched. . . . No. Not like this again...
  88. (Aren vey Pelleaux II)
  89. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  90.
  91. [22:53] Face like Jim from the Office, he just stood there waiting for a chance to talk.
  92. (Skyul Sork)
  93. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  94.
  95. [22:55] The man's eyes still glowing bright blue, the venom in the woman's blood would end the bout before his axe would deal a more lethal blow. With her own cells being destroyed from the inside, her body eventually gives in, falling down without the strength to carry on the fight.
  96.
  97. Not caring for the people's words to try and persuade him, he'll proceed to walk towards Athena, reaching with his metallic hand to carry her now powerless body on his shoulder.
  98.
  99. "I am leaving with her, no matter what any of you say." He'll say, turning towards the different voices in the crowd. "You can contact Osrona if you wish to try and get back with a trade, but knowing Osrona? They only care for nobles anyway..."
  100.
  101. A scoff is let out by the giant, he'll attempt to start walking out of the scene. Would there be anyone that would dare challenge the tower of a man in defense of Athena?
  102. (Grendel Beo)
  103. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  104.
  105. [22:56] Aren will not allow it, she glares at Grendel as she draws her blade. "ATHENA!"
  106. (Aren vey Pelleaux II)
  107. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  108.
  109. [22:56] Frustrated with the postponing of his conversation, Skyul pursued.
  110. (Skyul Sork)
  111. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  112.
  113. [22:57] Skyul Sork says, "I wanted to talk but i had to wait for some jackass in a helmet scavenged from the garbage to beat the shit out of some naive knight wannabe from Osrona."
  114. [22:57] Seneca really was pretty excited for that tarot reading. After-all it wasn't as if they'd ever gotten the chance to have a reading before.
  115.
  116. 'Die' The words reached him before anything beyond that did. "Oh jeez." With that they whipped up there mithril sword. The great weapon, dulled and cheaply forged. A vicious bend in the center showcasing it's wear and tear.
  117.
  118. Swinging up to deflect that mighty blade of Douma! So, it became the battle of swordsmen! Douma the Demon Lord versus Seneca the Femboy of the Lake!
  119.
  120. Of course they'd probably block the first strike! Then with a strike of lightening they'd unfurl there wings, flying away from the swordsman. To gain some space of course!
  121.
  122. Before he rushed back into the fight!
  123. (Seneca)
  124. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  125.
  126. [22:58] Hiru exclaims, "Please don't do this!"
  127. [23:06] Humans.
  128.
  129. Such a species which had forced this demon to draw their blade against those of naught more than flesh and bone. The cold sensations of occultism which poured outwards from this monster all the more agitated as they looked upon that figure. One which had stood against this demon, one which had stood against the collective might of their species.
  130.
  131. "... You who have stood alongside mankind. You who are naught more than a human will be taught your place, will know of your sins." The voice of this demon continued to roll outwards as each stride forwards came followed by another wave of that darkened presence. Stardust corrupted and burning bright around the putrid blade of this demon all the more apparent.
  132.
  133. "You who will die for your sins."
  134.
  135. The voices all around, Hiru begging this demon to stop in their ways having fallen upon deaf ears.
  136.
  137. Still they continued ever forwards.
  138.
  139. "You who will know the sorrow of your torso and neck parting against Tsuchigumos steel."
  140.
  141. They continued to press forwards.
  142. (Douma)
  143. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  144.
  145. [23:13] Slits of softly glowing violet gazed across the clearing between himself and Douma. Tapered ears twitching as they listened to the words being spoken to him.
  146.
  147. A lot of it was slightly over his head. The slight tint of confusion crossing his face was evident of that. "You're a haunting one that's for sure."
  148.
  149. The Drakanite willed his legs to move, glancing down when they refused. That was a bad sign, his attention flicked back up to Douma. It was a demon, one of the lords of that infernal race.
  150.
  151. Set to destroy or enslave all of Humanity.
  152.
  153. Move! With a shift his body responded. Shaking off the fear, the doubt, now was not the time for weakness. As he started forwards towards the demon, thick coatings of bone's sprouted over his silvery scales. The skeletal framework of the man expanding ever so softly, his muscles straining under the effort as he pushed himself even further than normal. Slowly he felt the world tilt slighly as he gained an inch.
  154.
  155. Now wasn't the time for him to be careful with his body it was either give it his all or fall. That is whey with gritted teeth hie urged his body further and further. Willing his mana-circuitry to pulse through his frame. Knowing it was the connection to his soul that allowed his body to operate. Knowing it was from that soul that the body would become greater and greater. An expansion of the great will of Kraus' design.
  156.
  157. "It sounds like a painless way to go, kind of you but there's no chance I could convince you to surrender peacefully?"
  158.
  159. Of course not though, no one had ever accepted the offer to surrender and Douma wasn't likely to be the first. So, with a flush of those great leathery wings the smiling dragon shot forwards.
  160.
  161. Careening straight for the demon.
  162. (Seneca)
  163. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  164.
  165. [23:23] "... Humans."
  166.
  167. Such a voice would echo in the minds of each present. Where once such a figure had attempted to cleave them through, their blade had struck back against their otherwise basic weapon. With each strike came another movement of the flesh along the spine of that putrid blade scattered with eyes.
  168.
  169. Even as such a battle had carried on, the flesh of this weapon at times had seemed to snap outwards. Aiming and jumping towards those eyes of Seneca, ever hungry for the gaze of this drakanite.
  170.
  171. "... Whenever I am faced with annoyance, I find humans to be the root cause. Whenever I am struck with anger, humans are at the forefront of my mind." One cleave of this demons weapon surrounded by those familiar crescent moons, each slash holding no set shape or size as flesh was torn open and armor was bent inwards.
  172.
  173. Stood against a Demon Lord, The Spider which culled the living.
  174.
  175. "And it is humans I will so slaughter."
  176.
  177. The chaotic slashes around this demons strike splintering stone as that rage and anger continued to build within Doumas very gaze. Continued to mount as Seneca was endlessly pushed back...
  178.
  179. Though their approach was ever slow, their movements driven by instinct...
  180.
  181. Each gradual and proud step giving Seneca the moment they need to back away...
  182.
  183. To run for their life.
  184. (Douma)
  185. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  186.
  187. [23:24] Sum says, "Hm...."
  188. [23:30] The smiling dragon's gaze never left the demon's shoulders, ignoring the myriad eyes that seemed to coat them and there weapon. Yes, they felt the gaze of those eyes even felt there desires to rend him of his own violet hues.
  189.
  190. Yet, this was battle and battle was won through reading your foe. Mythril struck cursed flesh, when that dulled blade wasn't in place the drakan's hardened scales served as a layer of defense.
  191.
  192. Yet, he was able to engage in some witty banter. "I mean, hey! To be annoyed at others around you is very human! That's why people are so grumpy in-" His body dropped right in time to keep his head connected to his torso.
  193.
  194. A lucky break for this Drakan!
  195.
  196. Hoping back up, there blade moving faster as they sought to keep pace. It was becoming to much for them, that vicious deluge of strikes. His arm's stretching ever so slightly between strikes as he willed his skeleton to lengthen and retract within the fight selectively changing the design of his body to better suit the needs of this battle.
  197.
  198. Then there was the gap, space gained. "Well, you're one that'll be tough but... Apologies, yes? I must depart!" As they spoke those leathery wings unfurled, shifting quickly to flap towards the ground, propelling the figure up and away.
  199.
  200. With only them being the target of Douma's wrath? Best to beat a hasty retreat!
  201. (Seneca)
  202. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  203.
  204. [23:32] It had been a battle that Hiru watched with baited breath. She felt uncomfortable being so close to it, and finding herself unable to do anything. Thusly, this was the life of a non-magi. An ordinary woman not gifted with the grace of magic.
  205.
  206. But if she needed to? She had been prepared to step in against the Demon, to protect someone she viewed as innocent. Douma's words left a coldness running down her spine, as he fought with that horrible blade, and there was a small shake of the fortune teller's head as he bested Seneca within combat. Her tarot cards were still ever tightly clutched.
  207.
  208. "No more!" She suddenly decried, hands clenching that much more tightly against her cards. "Do not harm any humans in Theria - I shan't allow it." She spoke. Her voice still took on that inflection of dreaminess, the fortune teller ever speaking so soft and gently. Surely she couldn't even hurt a fly, let alone stand up to a Demon, no?
  209. (Hiru)
