Samus into Rock

With one arm, the armored woman set the cannon back into the harness on her back. And she used her newly freed hand to draw her sword. It was an interesting blade, light and thin, but the steel was sharp and glistening as if it just come from a blacksmith’s wax. The handle was decorative, gold-plated with symbols woven into the guard. Robin didn’t recognize it entirely, but it looked Altean, and military at that.

But for how beautiful the sword was, it was, after all, a sword. The armored woman moved forward, slashed her blade, aiming to sever the dragon’s neck from his shoulders. The dragon moved into the swing, didn’t try to escape it, but angled his shoulders so that the blade bounced off his shell.

The armored woman was cautious. Already, as her blade was being deflected, her other arm was moving to block whatever counterattack this dragon had in mind for her.

And then the dragon’s fist slammed into her gut and she was knocked, no, she flew into the closest rock face.

The armored woman fell forward. The entire encounter was over in about a second.

A puff of smoke escaped the dragon’s nostrils. Then it turned its attention to Robin.

“You’re next, Snowy,” it said with a point.
