- Little Mac gave Robin one more once over. Then his gaze slid up to the smiling Doc.
- He didn’t speak. Instead, his hands began to move. It took Robin a moment to recognize that Mac was ‘speaking’ Common Sign Language. A language that Robin had fortunately studied among many others, but it took a moment to remember.
- ‘Sorry,’ he signed. ‘He can be a bit much.’
- Robin started mentally pulling up his CSL dictionary and tried signing back. It wasn’t going well. Fortunately, Doc interrupted him a few words in.
- “He can hear just fine, son. Mac just speaks with his hands is all, ha ha!”
