  1. When the phone vibrated, the young man looked at it. He couldn't help but smile; things were starting to fall into place. He'd set up camp somewhere upstairs, locking a door in the house and just hanging out. Duncan Cheriki hated crowds. They were too much of a blessing and a curse. He'd managed to stalk the two girls that they believed had stolen Renee's paper, and knew where they lived, their mannerisms and more. No one would notice when the quiet, well-mannered Asian girl had gone missing from a party. Her roommate might notice, but that would assist them greatly in the act of kidnapping the two girls.
  2. He responded with a simple 'Ok.' Duncan wasn't adept at using technology at all; that's why he'd decided to help out Renee. He let her organize the plan, opting to be the street-smarts of the operation as well as the muscle. If things would go right, they'd be walking away rich from selling off the thesis on cancer cells being put under control. He stood up, slid his shoes on, and opened the door.
  3. Duncan was an easily forgettable figure. He had an average height of 5'9, an average build, and his face was scuffed from fights he'd been in and just general blemishes. Nothing was too remarkable about him, other than a few scars that lay underneath his jacket and jeans. He looked younger than he actually was; the man was twenty-three, but he looked like he could have just been entering into freshman year.
  4. Starting down the stairs, it was hard to miss the secondary objective; the girl was in the corner of the party, with what looked like a dozen guys surrounding her. Perfect. Isolation was good. He walked towards the back doors, feeling like too much like an assassin; only, death wouldn't be involved. He found Renee and opened the door, shutting it. The familiar smell of weed came to him, and he lacked surprise.
  5. "Hi, sweetie!" he greeted, giving Renee a big, almost exaggerated hug. He planted a kiss on her cheek, wrapping an arm around her shoulder. Naomi watched with interest, taking a sip from her water bottle. So, the girl was in a relationship as well? she thought, trying to sum up the girl that had introduced himself. Duncan planted another kiss on Renee's forehead. "Who's this pretty little lady?" he asked, indicating Naomi with a nod. Naomi felt her face get warm; she was so bland and boring, guys hardly ever flirted with her.
