Cirrin Psychic Power Explained

CIRRIN RUNFARs invisibility power is a psychic mind effect rather than literal invisibility. It works by broadcasting the psychic compulsion 'don't notice me'.

It uses the fact that the brain only registers a faction of what the eye actually sees. It is the same reason you don't notice a dancing gorilla in the background while counting dancers, or have difficulty spotting minor differences in two similar pictures. If he stops using his power a person won't see him pop into existence, rather it's exactly like spotting someone camouflaged naturally. An astute person could tell it's mind power.

It works on smell too and sound to a lesser extent (and only if there are other sounds to act as a distraction). Touch is too sensitive.

Low psychic resistance: Practically invisible, they will have a hard time spotting him even while actively looking for him. Once spotted they have to concentrate on him and might lose sight of him if they blink.

Mid Psychic resistance: Unlikely to spot him if they're not actively looking. If they are, it's only a matter of time before they do spot him. They have to keep their eye on him but don't need to concentrate and it'll take more than a blink to lose him.

High Psychic Resistance: As long as it works a little bit the power can still be useful. It can delay him being spotted by a couple of seconds, which can be useful when moving between cover. It compliments natural camouflage too.
