As it stands, the flora and fauna of our new world are largely similar to our own, and as such should be viewed as the same in climate and function, unless expressly stated otherwise. With this fact in mind, there are a few poigniant changes, additions, and deductions from the world's various vegitation and animals.

Note: this is not a complete list, and may be altered at any point.

The Flora:

Firstly, much like Calradia, the lands in our new scenario are home to many plants that would be considered 'from the new world'. Such plants among them: maise, potatoes, tobacco, and even cocao. Yes, chocolate exist. A good rule of thumb is as follows: if was common to find in our current world, it is likely to be grown and bought in markets all about our new scenario's world.

Food:

Common dishes in the three Duchies vary widely dependent on class, though they all include variously processed levels of breads, potatoes, venison and game meat, pork, beef (though far less common), and various fruits and berries. It's also not uncommon to see various herbs cooked into the food of both peasants and lords, though the scarcity of the herbs are often the differentiating factor between them.

In the Three Duchies, in an age-old custom brought by the Empire to cook Yarrow into the meals eaten during both the solstices of the year, as it is believed that the consumption of the yellow herb will bring good luck to those that consume it.

Recreation:

Tobacco is a herb consumed all over the world, smoked and chewed by peoples everywhere. Imported mainly from the Marches and the more southerly states, though it is not unheard of for peoples from the Three Duchies to try and grow it themselves; therefore, it is logical that tobacco can range widely in it's cost and quality. T

Opium is refined from poppies, almost solely produced in the Nalwald's various distilleries. In addition to being the primary painkiller of most medical communities, the highly sought-after substance is frequently abused by nobles and commoners alike for the euphoric calm it induces. While most commonly smoked from pipes, it is not unheard of for some abusers to cut themselves, and drip the liquid into their open wounds.

Hashish is also a commonly consumed recreational herb, generally smoked from pipes or consumed; in the rare case of the wealthy, some even vaporized by a myriad of complex devices. Here in the Duchies, they are commonly called a 'shisha'.

Fauna:
