- As he said that, he took out a thin golden chain. The amethyst pendants on it clanked together, forming an arc.

I felt slightly embarrassed as I remembered how I once thought that it was fate that led us to meet there. But I would let that shameful thought be a secret forever. My mentor would most likely not notice anyway. …At most, I would just tell Reines.
