  5. It was a very primitive form of magecraft that I had learned about in class before. Apparently, it could be used for searching and investigation, and was used even outside of magecraft to look for underground reservoirs or oil.

  11. That was to say, he originally planned on investigating the church as well. Then, he had come across me by accident, as I wanted to avoid the traveling merchants. I felt slightly embarrassed as I remembered how I once thought that it was fate that led us to meet there. But I would let that shameful thought be a secret forever. My mentor would most likely not notice anyway. …At most, I would just tell Reines.
