  12. Note: if Cid can use the Highwind as his limit break, then I reserve the right to call in orbital fire support to achieve the same ends. While this is more difficult to use underwater, it's entirely possible.
  13.
  14. So! I tried to do a whole LOT of things to throw things off, here.
  15.
  16. Firstly, synthetic mako, in order to wean the population off of eating the planet's lifestream for power. Turns out it's not energy efficient, though it IS possible; also the planet says that artificial soul stuff "feels weird", though not in as many words. Still, it took the infusion, and people were confused as to why Midgar abruptly had hilariously tall grass growing in what was a desert the day before. And why the grass was so pale.
  17.
  18. Secondly, stopping the Sector Seven plate from falling. No one was quite sure how the plate stayed up, in truth. The pillar exploded... but the holes that the explosives punched in the pillar weren't enough to make it collapse. The whole thing was apparently more durable than anyone realized. And boy wasn't it a tragedy that somehow the concrete was stronger than it should have been and the blueprints didn't show all the reinforcement and rebar that was in it?
  19.
  20. Thirdly, breaking into Shinra and stealing Jenova. I wasn't quick enough on this one though; she took Sephiroth's form and stabbed the president of the Shinra Electric Power Company, then escaped from there. I got there just in time for everyone to be confused - came in from upstairs to see the corpse and one of the corporate lackeys running, while Avalanche treated me with suspicion, until Rufus Shinra shot at me the same as everyone else.
  21.
  22. Fourthly, joining them while they fled the city, then abusing the HELL out of my magic to fix Cloud's head while we were stopped over at Kalm for the night. Though it was very much a work in progress for the following weeks. Still, beats the heck out of taking a dip in the Lifestream.
  23.
  24. Fifthly, lobotomizing Hojo on the beach. No, no, nothing like that - I just hung back after everyone else left and promised to catch up. Then, when Hojo was in his hotel room, I obliviated him; the full Lockheart treatment. (He caught up with Sephiroth later, with no agency of his own, and was disposed of alongside the black cloaks at the Crater.)
  25.
  26. Sixthly, as soon as it was clear that Sephiroth went for the temple of the Ancients, I nuked it from orbit. It was, after all, the only way to be sure. It was annoyingly intact, if slightly radioactive, so after it was shrunk down I stole it and threw it through a portal into the warehouse. "There, now Sephiroth can't do whatever it is he wanted to do."
  27.
  28. Seventhly, watched as Sephiroth found some way to subvert and summon the various Weapons that he sent all over the planet to kill everyone. It turns out that orbital bombardment works on them, too; damn things were pretty fucking useless against Jenova, so I didn't care about collateral damage when it came to THEM. "THERE. Now Sephiroth can't kill everyone."
  29.
  30. Eighthly, watched Sephiroth apparently assume direct control of Deep Ground somehow, along with three derivative clones of himself to head it, at which point everyone kind of went 'fuck it' and encouraged me to nuke them too.
  31.
  32. Ninthly, got Cloud to the Northern Crater before Sephiroth could come up with any more half-baked schemes, and cheered while he omnislashed that jerk into oblivion.
  33.
  34. Tenthly, used Hyperion to give the crater a makeover - a little outside help when it comes to terraforming goes a long way, it seems.
  35.
  36. Ugh, what a ride.
