  1. [Dolores] //tooltip- Ask Sylvia about her daughter
  2. //Baby
  3. [say:Oh, isn't she just the cutest?] Sylvia responds, almost before you can get the words out of your mouth. [say:I knew I wanted a baby, but I didn't expect it to be quite like this. It's...] She breathes in. [say:Amazing. Thank you, [name].]
  4.
  5. Well, she certainly seems enthusiastic. You ask her to explain a bit more—what does she like in particular?
  6.
  7. [say:Hmm... Well, her eyes are just so big, and when you look at her, you can tell she's watching you back. Our daughter's so precocious, I can tell already. Oh, and when you put your finger out, she grabs it!] The moth-girl giggles, her laugh a lot more bubbly than you've come to expect from her.
  8.
  9. [say:And she smells like you,] she finishes, turning her piercing gaze towards you. Something there makes you not want to continue this line of thought, though if that makes her happy, you suppose it's all good in the end.
  10.
  11.
  12. //Child
  13. You ask Sylvia how she feels about Dolores, her development, and so on.
  14.
  15. [say:Well, I love her,] she says quite simply.
  16.
  17. You suppose that's a better answer than most. Still, sometimes you worry about your daughter, and if you're raising her right. She doesn't always seem the most well-adjusted.
  18.
  19. However, the moth just waves her hand. [say:She's fine. I suppose I can see what you mean, [name], but there's absolutely nothing to worry about. Our daughter is a wonderful person, she just doesn't always know how to show it.]
  20.
  21. Her smile grows even wider, to the point where you'd almost wonder if it's going to escape her face entirely. [say:But she has me, and she has you, so everything will be alright.]
  22.
  23.
  24. //Teen
  25. Dolores is well on her way to being her own person by now, so you wonder if Sylvia doesn't have anything to say about her adolescent daughter. She smiles and looks down, remaining silent for an unusual amount of time before her soft voice starts up.
  26.
  27. [say:...It's life-changing. Oh, well, obviously, but there's more than I ever expected,] she says, putting a hand to her cheek as she stares at the floor. [say:How do I put it...?]
  28.
  29. [say:I suppose for a long time in my life, there was only me. When you're trapped in your own head, things can get a bit... out of place. And then there was you, and you were everything to me.] She looks up, her big black eyes wide open. [say:You're still my one and only, but seeing our daughter growing up, seeing a person being born, it's made everything seem so different.]
  30.
  31. The moth-girl spends a few moments with a contemplative look on her face, apparently looking for the right words. Eventually, she nods and says, [say:It's a lot easier to navigate with another star in the sky.]
  32.
  33.
  34. //Merge
  35. Sylvia lets out a wistful sigh, falling silent. You could ask her more, if you wanted.
  36.
  37. [More Kids] [Jealousy] [You] [Done] //Each option grays out when picked, resets each time
  38.
  39.
  40. [More Kids] //tooltip- Does she want to stop here?
  41. Since she seemed so happy about having Dolores, would she want to have another child?
  42.
  43. At your question, she smiles, though her eyes look a bit downcast. [say:Oh, I'm afraid that's not likely to happen, [name].] You ask her why not. [say:Well, we moths aren't known for our fertility. It is common for us to only ever be blessed with a single daughter. That's why we put such importance on that connection—it might be the only one we ever get to have.]
  44.
  45. She sighs, and you can tell that she's a bit put out by this fact, but you'd like to confirm, so you ask her if she would [i:want] more, if it were possible.
  46.
  47. [say:Oh,] she answers, [say:I... suppose so. I didn't have any sisters, so my family has always been small. I don't really know what it would be like living in a full household, but I wouldn't mind finding out.] Her expression grows a bit more mischievous. [say:And it would mean a lot more fun with you...]
  48.
  49. Her thighs start to grind together, and you can almost see the ideas running through her head.
  50.
  51.
  52. [Jealousy] //tooltip- Does she ever get jealous of her daughter?]
  53. There's no way around it—you've been giving her less attention since your daughter was born. Does she resent that in any way?
  54.
  55. [say:No,] she says.
  56.
  57. You're about to ask her to clarify, but then you notice that her burning purple eyes are wide open and locked on to you. Perhaps it's better not to ask; she seems happy enough as-is.
  58.
  59.
  60. [You] //tooltip- Is there anything more she wants [i:you] to do?
  61. You ask Sylvia if you've been the [father] she wants you to be. At this question, her eyes [if (ever left) {flicker for just a moment|crinkle}].
  62.
  63. [say:Well... I'll never object to seeing more of you around, but no, you've been wonderful, [name]. Not just giving me this gift, but helping me raise her too...] She sidles up a bit closer. [say:You're so good to me...]
  64.
  65. The moth's four hands [if (sylviadom < 50) {tentatively take up yours|firmly latch onto your arms}] as her face hovers close. She lingers there a moment, her mouth slightly open and her eyes dreamy, before [if (sylviadom < 50) {you lean forward and draw her|she leans forward and draws you}] into a kiss. It's brief, but highly satisfying, and when your lips part, you no longer have any doubt as to how she feels.
