History: Behind The Red Scarf

Aki has been known to be wearing a Red Scarf around his neck. If people asked, it was a gift from his deceased grandfather from the clan he's adopted into, before he went to the Shinigami Academy.


The Red colour contrasts Aki's green eyes. The old man said it suited him.


The day, Aki's birthday neared, the old noble thought a red scarf would fit for a gift. He prepared the present and finished it in time, planned to give it to the young male.


One night before Aki's birthday, there was a massacre. Aki went home to find the mansion empty. The servants were dead and blood was everywhere. Fearing that the old man as well, he ran to his quarters, finding the old noble on the floor, with few breaths left in him, holding a red bloodied scarf in his hand. Aki went to help the old man but the latter shook his head. The old man used his last remaining power to cast a kidou on the male to get him to sleep. The murderers were still roaming around the household and he feared Aki would be killed as well. With his last few breaths remaining in his life, the old noble wrapped the red scarf around the boy's neck, smudged with his blood in order to save him in time, as the shadows of the murderers came past the quarters, thinking that all of them were dead.


The red scarf saved Aki's life. A present given by the old noble who adopted him to become a part of the family.

Left alone, Aki just stood in front of his grandfather's tomb, scarf around his neck as he closed his eyes. He made it to be a seater in a division. He swore he would always wear it before turning away.
