  4. tirkaroKujo: gundammit
  5. tirkaroKujo: and here I thought Agi was late with his stuff
  6. Alloces: (( didn't know if there was anything special I'd need to do, but it shouldn't be too tough to just make shit up as I go along, if I need new moves in combat ))
  7. Alloces: (( Will most likely be looking at things that use Tactics ))
  8. Alloces: (( I only barely have a use for it ATM ))
  9. tirkaroKujo: either way
  10. tirkaroKujo: *Ahem* You continue to follow the hitman crew, planning whatever nefarious plot you're thinking up, as Casey continues to look up into the sky, lost in some reverie-like state. There's an obvious disconnect between you two, but it seems the puppet kid is more accepting and open to whatever you have to say.
  11. Coated Man: Breaking his gaze into the stars, the coated man breaks his awkward silence. "Have we even bothered to decide on a meetup place?"
  12. Coated Man: (( aaaand hold that for a moment ))
  13. Coated Man: (( dog needs to take a shit again ))
  14. Alloces: "And to think, here I was, assuming you had this all planned out. I say we should meet at the very place we ambush the ruffians. I'll approach them from one area, and you instigate a pincer attack from the other. Cut them off so that they cannot escape. Now, being who you are, you must know of some...appropriate ambush spots?"
  15. Alloces: (( Sure, gives me a sec to get my moves in ))
  16. Coated Man: (( and back ))
  17. Coated Man: "I'm not one to think of a plan. Never really had to. But if we're gonna do the whole 'meet up where we plan to take action' mumbo jumbo, we're gonna have to know just where the hell they'll be beforehand. That's gonna be tricky."
  18. Alloces: (( Well, ALMOST finished em ))
  19. Alloces: (( Got two done in specs at least, not fluffed or anything yet, or at least not written down ))
  20. Alloces: "Of course, we can map out a general area of where we wish to attack. Do you know anything of their habits, where they, ah, hang out, etc?"
  21. Coated Man: "Like hell I know. They're kids. Just randomly showed up out of nowhere, like typical brats.. Glenn ought to know a thing or two."
  22. Toy Soldier: "I, uh, do know that they seem to hang on the lower ends of town. They're currently approx. near the position of New Hope Road."
  23. Coated Man: "New Hope Road, eh? How nostalgic..."
  24. Alloces: "Sounds wonderful. Just the place to lay the smack down on some no-good, ne'er-do-well children. If these WERE such children. From what I gathered, all they did was run off with some object you like. Just what is this thing's role, for it to be so important that you need outside help to ensure you get it back?"
  25. Toy Soldier: "Oh, well that's easy to explain! Psychic Wars can easily-!"
  26. Coated Man: "It's none of your business"
  27. Toy Soldier: "Yeah! None of your business!"
  28. Coated Man: "Sorry man, but I want as little middlemen here as possible. As soon as I obtain the Psychic Wars, I'm giving it over to Adel."
  29. Alloces: "These "children" repelled you. From this, and the very fact I was sent along in the first place, I gather they're too much for you to handle on your own. If they're this dangerous, I may be in quite the predicament! I could be risking my life here, to retrieve some item I know little to nothing about. Now, that doesn't seem just, to me."
  30. Coated Man: "It's a long story, one that I'd rather not go into, but these kids aren't so dangerous. I mean, there's only two of them. I backed off because, well...."
  31. Coated Man: "Fine, I'll let you in on something, The artifact is capable of a lot of pretty nifty shit, but once it's activated, it goes into a sleep state for a good deal of time, ranging from a few days to a few weeks. I want to obtain the ball when it's awake, so to say."
  32. Alloces: "Well, now I know why you want it sooner rather than later, but I'm still in the dark concerning the prevailing reason behind it all. Still, I don't wager you're up to telling me much else?"
  33. Coated Man: "You catch on quickly, buddy. Give yourself a pat on the back and a rub on the belly."
  34. Alloces: "Oh, I'm no cat. I'm more like a...bear, I believe it was."
  35. tirkaroKujo: But before you can do that strange act, a familiar young lady appears on the outskirts of the submerged city.
  36. Sister Rosa: "*Huff huff*" The lady appears to be running somewhere, so much that she's caught off guard when she's about to bump into you.
  37. Alloces: "Yes, a big, friendl--hm? My, Sister, where are off to in such a rush?"
  38. Sister Rosa: "Oh dear! Fancy meeting you out here! Again!"
  39. Coated Man: "Oooooooh, my ffffff..." Casey's face goes kinda blank once Rosa goes into view.
  40. Alloces: "Yes, well, I do like the...ocean. The salty breeze, and all that. I think I may have been a sailor in a past life. Or perhaps a pirate!"
  41. Sister Rosa: "That's a fancy imaginaton you got there! Personally I'm more partial to vikings...but oh nevermind that! I've been looking for Father all day, if you need to know why I was strolling more hastily than usual." Rosa pulls over her locks of hair, giving you a better view of her face. It seems to have a few bumps and bruises on it.
  42. Alloces: "The Father...I did happen to meet a priest looking for you. He was wondering if I had seen you, actually. Getting past that, are you...quite all right, Sister? You look as if you could do with more than a spirit healer!"
  43. Sister Rosa: "What? Oh, these? Don't worry yourself, I just had a misfortunate run-in with some stairs earlier. Oh, and Casey, is that you? I sure hope you've been a good boy, yes? Making your parents proud?"
  44. Coated Man: "..." The man lets out a hearty sigh. "Yeah, yeah I've been doin' just fine sister. Never been better."
  45. Alloces: "You two know each other?" Al might not buy Rosa's story, but he's completely caught off guard by this development. "How did that happen?"
  46. Sister Rosa: "Oh, did i not tell you about Casey? We go far back, all the way to the middle school in Hinaboshi district! I remember when he was just a shy little student there, and we always had the same classes. Come to think about it, we were practically raised together!" a flow of memories come to Rosa's mind, who recites them with no hesitation.
  47. Coated Man: "Y-yeah. Fun times I guess." The once stoic man is now trying to hide what a nervous wreck he's devolved into by staring the other way.
  48. Alloces: "Hmhmhm...some interesting stories you have. I never knew any of this about you, Casey! We'll have to talk some more, Sister! I'm sure Casey here would love to discuss his, ah, fun times at school."
  49. Sister Rosa: "Oh but that was so far back! How's your girlfriend doing right now? Are you making her happy? Hope you're not dragging her too much into your naughty-naughty lifestyle!" Rosa has now become a non-stop giggle machine
  50. Coated Man: "We uh, had a breakup a while back, sorry to say. I don't really like to talk about it."
  51. Sister Rosa: "Oh, well I'm sorry to hear that! Hope you have better luck next time!"
  52. Coated Man: "E-Enough of that. This really isn't the time to talk about those kinds of things. I'm kinda busy right now, so..."
  53. Sister Rosa: "Oh, and you! I sure hope you remembered about the dinner tomorrow, yes?"
  54. Alloces: "Well, I understand why you'd not like to talk about that...." (Not to say I'll respect it.) "Oh? Yes, yes - I was about to call, in fact, make sure there weren't any last-minute changes on their end. They, ah, won't let it out around me, but the girls are tickled to death about it all, I'm sure."
  55. Sister Rosa: "Great, great! We'll talk plenty more in due time then. Hey Casey, why don't you come too? The fundraiser dinner by the girls' school I mean. I'm sure plenty of faces will be pleasantly surprised to see you around!"
  56. Coated Man: "Th-there's a..? I, uh, I'll see what I can do I guess." Casey scratches his head, sorta bewildered how to properly answer.
  57. Alloces: Al claps his hands and sneers at Casey. "Yes, yes, do come along! You may not believe me, but you're more, ah, delightful conversational partner than most who'll be there. It'll be a right joy to have you along." Unfortunately, that much is probably true given who Al does know about.
  58. Sister Rosa: "Triple great! It'll be a night to remember, I promise! Plus, it's all for a good cause!" Rosa looks around the area. "But oh pooey. I really need to go now. I hope we can exchange memories when my time is more free!"
  59. Coated Man: "Once again...I'll see what I can do." Casey puts his hands in his pockets.
  60. Alloces: "Before I forget, I saw that priest around « area I saw him as I don't know if you told me really it's been a while = 0 », if that helps you any!"
  61. Sister Rosa: "Thank you so much!" Rosa runs up and gives a bit hug to all three of you before running off. "I hope god smiles upon you all today and all year round too!"
  62. Coated Man: "Urk." Rosa's hugs aren't very powerful, but they command a very heavy aura of warmth to them.
  63. Alloces: "Yes, well, I think we all do! Of course, it wouldn't hurt if everyone else were to as well... Best of luck, then, Sister."
  64. Coated Man: Casey lets out a heavy sigh of relief.
  65. Toy Soldier: "I don't think I've ever seen her before..."
  66. Alloces: "I gathered that, judging by how you didn't greet her."
  67. Coated Man: "You haven't, don't worry. Just my past coming to haunt me some more."
  68. Coated Man: "Wonder what the hell she got into...those aren't the kind of bruises you get from falling down stairs."
  69. Alloces: "I wondered that, too...I'm afraid she may have gotten herself into trouble. She can be a bit...difficult to deal with for some, given what I've heard at the bar, but I didn't think anyone would go to such lengths."
  70. Alloces: "It mayn't be my problem, but I'm sure there's a hefty charge for assaulting a clergywoman."
  71. Coated Man: "I'm keeping my eye open, but I can't afford to offer much more than a slight concern. Alright, if we're gonna do this thing, we're gonna have to do it quick. Go find whatever you need to find, and we'll meet up where Glenn calls."
  72. Alloces: "Works for me! So long as you pull your weight, I'm sure it'll be a, ah, pleasure to work with you. I only hope those children can put up a decent fight. It would sour the taste of battle, otherwise."
  73. Coated Man: "Alright. We'll split up from here. And so will Glenn."
  74. Toy Soldier: "Hai hai...." The lanky puppet begins to split in two, another puppet rising from its back
  75. Toy Soldier 1: "I'll try and lay low however I can"
  76. Alloces: Al blinks a few times at the youth's sudden division. "So...would I be correct to assume that THIS is a Replicant? I did wonder just what was going on with the child. I thought perhaps it was a gang of jester youths! This clears things up a bit, but raises some new questions. If you could make an army with, er, Glenn's replicant, whyever do you need Psychic Wars?"
  77. Toy Soldier 1: "Huh? Ooooh, meeee? Are you saying I'm stronger than Psychic Wars? Huuh huuh? N-nobody's ever complimented me like that before!"
  78. Coated Man: "And for good reason. Glenn has a long way to go before he's anywhere near strong enough to be a reasonable threat."
  79. Toy Soldier 1: "It was fun while it lasted..."
  80. Toy Soldier: "I can't do this infinitely anyway. And even if I could, all my puppets seem to always go down in a single hit! Boohoo!"
  81. Alloces: "Hmhmha! I'm sure you can rectify that. All it takes is some hard work. Granted, there are shortcuts, but I wouldn't suggest taking them! Besides, there's power in numbers. I do wish I could split like that...hmm..."
  82. Toy Soldier: "It sounds fun in theory. But I was given this ability for as long as I can remember, and only recently was I capable of controlling it. Before I could, I guess I was a lot stronger...but at what cost?"
  83. Coated Man: "You'll get your due in a matter of time. For now, use your secondary skills to the best of your abilities. C'mon, the sooner we strike, the better..."
  84. Alloces: "Yes, well, all I really need to do is cover my face...and change my clothes. These are QUITE recognizable among the people."
  85. Alloces: "Even that goon knew who I was at a glance."
  86. Coated Man: "Good. Just don't fuck up and we should be as giddy as a buncha schoolgirls." The man in the coat stomps off with his assigned Toy Soldier.
  87. tirkaroKujo: So is that all you want, or you wanna cover just what the hell you're gonna disguise into
  88. Alloces: (( I uh, really don't have too many ideas on that ))
  89. Alloces: (( Probably just some sorta robe thing that covers my face, I think I saw something like that somewhere in the K section ))
  90. Alloces: (( K-O ))
  91. tirkaroKujo: Theeeeeeeeeeen, the semi-gaiden is officially over (pty)
  92. tirkaroKujo: I guess just wing whatever your costume is gonna be
  93. Alloces: (( It probably won't be anything too extravagant ))
  94. Alloces: (( If we don't want them to know it's me though, I should probably get your colour down, and I guess you'd need to turn off notifications, I already do that ))
  95. Alloces: (( if we don't care, guess it doesn't matter much ))
  96. tirkaroKujo: Agi told me that you said you were gonna arrive a bit late on Sunday
  97. Alloces: (( I might ))
  98. Alloces: (( Like, a very, very slim chance ))
  99. tirkaroKujo: I just wanted to confirm if you weren't rusing him or something to keep some sorta masquerade up
  100. Alloces: (( I may not even be gone ))
  101. Alloces: (( Well he'd obv know if I was connected (HIPPO) ))
  102. Alloces: (( I'll just say I'm AFK or something ))
  103. Alloces: (( But yeah, most likely, I'll be here ))
  104. Alloces: (( Well, I'll say I'm AFK AFTER I FUCKING CALL THEM. ))
  105. Alloces: (( This IS my colour right ))
  106. Alloces: (( yes good at least it's easy to remember ))
  107. Thrice: Do you know what yours is (HMM)
  108. Thrice: You can mouse over colours to get the RBG data
  109. tirkaroKujo: 225 Red, 0 everything else it seems
  110. Thrice: 255?
  111. Thrice: Yeah, gotta be
  112. Thrice: there is no 225
  113. tirkaroKujo: yes, that
  114. Thrice: Least we got that straightened out
  115. Thrice: Right, speaking of things we should get straightened out
  116. Thrice: I'm not actually sure if I've like, run the Loopholes by you
  117. Thrice: The Technique itself yeah, but not the actual EFFECTS of it
  118. Thrice: they're at the bottom of the token
  119. Thrice: I've been pretty much just making them up as I get that Liability
  120. tirkaroKujo: Only one I'm sorta EEEEEHHHH on is the non-finisher loophole
  121. tirkaroKujo: mainly because I sorta feel using non-finisher as a liability is already sort of a cop-out, especially when it's for a very "unique" move as opposed to a big dumb brute attack
  122. tirkaroKujo: Though that's more to personal taste
  123. Thrice: To be fair, Non-Finisher IS on his most "powerful" attack, simply due to how Gradual Effect works
  124. Thrice: It was more balanced with taht one in mind, since it's nearly impossible for one instance of the move to even DEAL 5 damage, but we can make it 7 or 8 or something
  125. tirkaroKujo: 7 sounds good enough
  126. tirkaroKujo: keep in mind it has to be 7 all together, not individually
  127. Thrice: Oh, I know - the effect is that, if the opponent would be reduced to, like, -5 from the hit, they're finished, instead of 0
  128. Thrice: Or -7 now
  129. Thrice: ...ah
  130. Thrice: I did not put a - there
  131. Thrice: And I meant to (waiting)
  132. Thrice: as without it aht's literally just BETTER than a move without the liability (HIPPO)
  133. Thrice: So, the move'd need to deal at least 6/8 damage in one hit to KO, if the enemy is at 1 HP
  134. tirkaroKujo: yeah but keep in mind gradual effect moves, when stacked up, are a good deal more powerful than not-gradual moves
  135. Thrice: Yeah, I know, that's what I balanced it in mind for - only taking into account each singular hit, not the added-up damage
  136. Thrice: But I can always put non-finisher on other things, so it probably should be -7 still
  137. Thrice: Actually I think it's on my Assist or something too, sorta forgot about that since I never it
  138. Thrice: and I never made the Loophole till now
  139. Thrice: I mostly am using Gradual Effect and Healing and other pretty good elements to balance out the fact that I have no Replicant
  140. Thrice: or Juggle moves, as I refuse to use them, but that's just a personal thing
  141. tirkaroKujo: Hmm, I was wondering if you were just gonna use a ripple-type thing that'd have some larger use in dramatic combat
  142. Thrice: Could, I do have some hourglass-ish symbol going on here, but nothing to really do with time
  143. Thrice: It's mostly absorbing/taking attacks or giving up my own life to hurt people more
  144. Thrice is disconnected.
