[00:00] <+Editanon> Another busy day goes by for Roost. Kids are scurring up and down the halls as always but youve yet to hear anything explode, which is odd in of itself. Alvitr currently you stand outside of Mallards office, he wished to speak with you once you finished getting settled in to your new home.

[00:02] * +Alvitr knocks softly on the door
[00:03] <+Editanon> You hear some rummaging behind the door but quickly a lour baritone rings out "Come in, come in."
[00:04] * +Alvitr opens the door, steps inside, and gently closes it again, then turns and curtsies at Mallard
[00:06] <+Editanon> "Now now my dear, no need to be so formal around me. Please come in, have a seat."
[00:07] * +Alvitr nods, and sprawls comfortably in a seat close to the desk
[00:08] <+Editanon> "Good, now i trust youve been able to make yourself at home? No troubles with the room or other members I hope?"
[00:09] * +Alvitr shakes her head
[00:11] <+Editanon> Mallard strokes his mustash "Hmm, still not very talkitive, thats alright though. I have asked you here today for two reasons."
[00:11] * +Alvitr covers her mouth over a silent giggle, then nods
[00:12] <+Editanon> "The first is sadly Adonis still has yet to find anything solid to follow up on reguarding our chat the other day. Im sure he will find something soon though, the man always does."
[00:13] <+Editanon> "The second being a request, well more accurately a request for a request. Haiden recently gained two new helpers. However both of them are more then content to just stay in base and watch him. He wants to get them both outside and see what there is to see."
[00:14] <+Editanon> "So I would like you to pick out a mission you would think suitable for the three of you and take them out on it. It should be a good experience for all of you."
[00:15] * +Alvitr nods enthusiastically at the prospect of helping, then cocks her head questioningly to see if there's anything else
[00:16] <+Editanon> "Both of his helpers are well versed in the medical field, and seem to be capable fighters as well. The three of you should have no problem with whats currently posted."
[00:18] <+Editanon> "Any questions my dear?"
[00:19] * +Alvitr speaks for the first time in a quiet voice: "Would you know where they'd be likely to be?"
[00:22] <+Editanon> "The two of them should be in the medical ward with Haiden. For having a lack of patiens recently that place has been busier then ever."
[00:22] <+Alvitr> "Apologies, but where is the ward?"
[00:24] <+Editanon> "Ground floor on the northwest side, has a large red and green + signs over the door. Cant possible miss it. And the mission board is near the southeren exit also on the ground floor."
[00:25] <+Alvitr> "Thank you."
[00:25] <+Editanon> "You are welcome my dear, now best of luck to you and be safe."
[00:26] * +Alvitr nods her thanks, then turns to leave and quietly closes the door behind her. She stops by her room quickly to fetch a few things, then goes downstairs and knocks on the clinic door
[00:28] <+Editanon> As you exit Mallards office you very clearly heard a loud thud, but never found the source. Also while you were making your way through Roost, every now and then you would catch a glimps of blue or brown clothing just out of the corner of your eyes. Prolly nothin
[00:30] <+Editanon> After knocking a tall skiny grey haird man opens the doors. With his finger to his lips he lets out a quiet "Shh"
[00:30] * +Alvitr smiles a bit at that and nods
[00:31] <+Editanon> Haiden: You dont have to knock young one, and its better if you dont, patiens may be sleeping.
[00:33] * +Alvitr nods more seriously, then looks around for the two assistants Mallard had mentioned
[00:33] <+Editanon> Haiden brings you over to his desk in the back of the ward and sits himself down. Next to him on a small padded bench lays a young girl with long black hair, passed out asleep.
[00:36] * +Alvitr speaks more quietly than normal: "Your assistant?"
[00:37] <+Editanon> Haiden nods "Yup, she was my first little helper in a very long time. The little sparrow is not why i asked you here though."
[00:38] <+Editanon> "Now then, I asked this favor of mallard and you because i need your help. These two are very useful assistants, but neither knows much if anything about medicinal medicine. And thats what I really need, I cant leave the base for days at a time to go get the materials myself so i need them trained."
[00:40] <+Alvitr> "I can try my best. Do you have anything in mind regarding the type of training they will undergo?
[00:41] <+Editanon> "I have already taken a peak at the current board listings and comprised a list of the herbs and plantlife in each of the areas. If you could please finish the mission requested AND grab something from this list, i would be most appreciative. Hopefully itll help them spot useful items."
[00:42] <+Alvitr> "It will be done. Where are the two of them?"
[00:43] <+Editanon> Haiden points to your right "I asked them both to clean up the storage room a few hours ago, havnt heard from them since though."
[00:44] * +Alvitr blinks at that, then nods and walks into the storage room and closes the door behind her
[00:45] * +Kea sits up against a wall out of the way of everyone, almost entirely tucked away in an oversized blue woolen sweater. Although most of her face is covered by the sweater turtleneck, her eyes briefly glance up at Alvitr before returning to a book.
[00:47] * +Ein is the most forgettable person you've ever seen. Slim build, brown eyes, white skin, and very basic pants and shirt with no shoes. The only standout features he seems to have are his shaved-bald head and a grayish tinge to his skin. Also... wait, what were you thinking about again?
[00:48] <+Ein> And at 5'4", he's basically a manlet.
[00:49] <+Editanon> Alvitr you can plainly see the two assitants, sitting there... not cleaning.. Though the room seems orderly enough so no complaints.
[00:50] * +Alvitr cuts a somewhat imposing if quiet figure at 6'2". A sheathed katana is tucked in the belt of a long, closed, leather coat, and a rough but sturdy helmet is tucked under her arm, with a hole to let through a long ponytail of a curious black that seems to shine in iridescent colors sometimes as it moves
[00:51] <+Alvitr> "Hello, my name is Alvitr Smith, and I've been tasked to go on a job with the two of you."
[00:52] * +Kea raises an eyebrow and puts down her book, but otherwise makes no move to get up
[00:53] <+Ein> "All right, let's get going."
[00:54] * +Alvitr nods at Ein, and turns to Kea
[00:55] <+Alvitr> "Doctor Haiden provided a list of herbs which he would like us to find."
[00:57] <+Editanon> Alvitr, Kea roll magic resist if you would

[00:57] * +Ami --> "Kea rolls 1d100+30 and gets 88."

[00:58] * +Ein walks out the front door, waving goodbye, and as soon as he's out of sight you both forget he ever existed.
[00:58] <+Editanon> ...Was there another person here just now? Maybe it was a stack of boxes or somethin, ah well.
[01:01] * +Kea glances around a bit before rolling her eyes and standing up. She's almost entirely swallowed up by that sweater of hers, her thin little legs poke out at the bottom. It's hard to guess at her figures, but by the way her belt clings to her she must be quite thin.
[01:03] * +Kea reaches into one of her pockets and pulls out a small pad and pencil, before scribbling a short note and handing it to Alvitr
[01:04] <+Kea> In rather messy handwriting, the note reads "Why am I being drafted into this?"
[01:05] * +Alvitr shrugs
[01:05] <+Alvitr> "The doctor wishes you to be trained more, and has devised this as an exercise."
[01:07] * +Kea furrows her brow before she get back to scribbling "I'm an ex-canary, I don't go out there anymore" She underlines the "ex" for emphasis
[01:08] * +Alvitr nods, takes the note, and turns to go give it to the Doctor
[01:10] * +Kea follows close behind, somewhat curious.
[01:11] * +Alvitr shuts the door behind the two of them, and then hands the note to the doctor, already turned so he can read it
[01:12] <+Editanon> Haiden sighs as he puts a blanket over sparrow "Kae, once a canary, always a canary. I need you to continue learning the medical field so you can better help the people here. Theres only so much you can learn from books."
[01:14] * +Kea eye's widen as she bunches her fists. She starts scratching away at another note.
[01:17] <+Kea>  "But I've already been out there!! All I learned is that I'm not cut out for it. What good could I do out there anyway? What if I get them hurt?" She appears to have written another word after "hurt" but has crossed it out until it's indecipherable
[01:19] <+Editanon> "This girl is here to assist you. Mallard would not of sent her if he didnt think she could protect you. And besides, if things really did go bad, you are just two taps of your badge away from returning here."
[01:21] * +Kea looks down sullenly before glancing at Alvitr for a moment. after thinking for a moment she looks up and nods a few times
[01:21] * +Alvitr nods in return
[01:22] <+Editanon> "Good girl, everything will be fine."
[01:22] <+Editanon> "Now go on, make sure your both well prepaired before leaving. Grab all the gear and food you might need."
[01:23] <+Editanon> Off to Haidens side you can hear the little girl mumble in her sleep "Bhai bhai big sis.."
[01:24] * +Alvitr gestures towards the door with a questioning look on her face
[01:24] * +Kea stiffens a little before glancing away and heading towards the door
[01:26] <+Editanon> Haiden waves goodbye as you both exit the ward. You head out and accros the foodcourt and come to a stop at the mission board

[01:32] * +Alvitr gives a quick look over the three, passes her finger over the middle to read it in more detail, and then turns to Kea with a questioning look
[01:32] * +Kea looks over the board for a moment before pointing at the middle job, specifically the word "rescue". She looks quite determined.
[01:35] * +Alvitr nods with a smile on her face, then rests her left hand on the katana at her hip, tugs on her jacket with the right, and gives Kea a questioning head tilt
[01:36] * +Kea nods holds up a single finger before running off to her room to fetch her supplies
[01:37] <+Editanon> Upon further inspection of the request sheet, you notice its not only torn and beat up, but it looks like its been soaked in water for a while. Slightly concerning.
[01:38] <+Editanon> Once you both have made yourself ready, you meet outside the base at the stables.
[01:38] <+Editanon> If theres any last minute things you wanna buy or places/people you wanna see, nows the time to ask
[01:39] <+Alvitr> (do we get supplied food automatically, or do we ask for it at the kitchen, or what?
[01:40] * +Kea shows up with a few extra additions on her belt and a large pack on her back. All marked with a red cross.
[01:42] <+Editanon> You do get three days worth of food on whatever transportation you choose, other then that its up to you
[01:43] <+Alvitr> (how fast is the transportation we have?)
[01:44] <+Editanon> it should take alittle over a day depending on what you pick to reach your destination, it is almost noon however. Dunwich is close by if you do need to restock
[01:48] <+Alvitr> (Is a small tent big enough for two people?)
[01:48] <+Editanon> If you get cozy, yes. The weather doesnt appear to warrent rain however, and it is still nice and warm even during the night.
[01:49] <+Alvitr> (ok, then I think I'm ready, at least)

[01:50] <+Kea> (Is also ready, and would share a tent if necessary)
[01:51] <+Editanon> With both of you ready for the trip you stop just outside the stables, when you hear it. Neither of you have been at Roost for very long, but this is something hard to forget

[01:52] <+Editanon> the sound of hurried stomping and giggling soon catches up to you in a cloude of dirt and dust
[01:53] <+Editanon> Rhona and Raya, the twin terrors of Roost have arraived. Carried above their little arms is a very large chain bound sack with two large feet sticking out of it
[01:54] <+Editanon> The sack squirms in their grasp "YOU DAMN LITTLE BRATS! LEMME OUT OF HERE!"
[01:54] * +Alvitr raises a skeptical eyebrow
[01:54] * +Kea retreats behind Alvitr a little
[01:55] <+Editanon> The girls toss the sack to their side and it lands with a thud and a UGGH "We brought you a present!" Rhona says happily
[01:55] <+Editanon> "Yah a present!" Raya giggles
[01:55] * +Kea kneels down to check on the sack dweller
[01:55] <+Editanon> The bag flopps around on the ground "I ALREADY SAID I WOULD SO THERES NO REASON TO TIE ME UP DAMNIT!"
[01:56] <+Editanon> The twins giggle up a storm and take off as quickly as they came back into the base
[01:57] <+Alvitr> (is the sack easily opened?)
[01:57] <+Editanon> Kae: the bag is rather well made, sturdy leather with chains laced throughout for extra reinforcing, you wonder what the twins might of had to come up with such a contraption for
[01:58] <+Editanon> Alvitr, easy enough, theres a draw string on the bottom near the captives feet
[01:58] * +Alvitr pulls the drawstring and gently draws the person out by their feet
[01:59] <+Editanon> Alvitr, you withdraw a rather large boy, well built and muscly all over. Most striking thing about him is his massive red mohawk on the top of his head
[02:00] * +Alvitr holds her left hand down to help the boy up
[02:01] <+Editanon> the boy grabs your hand and hops up to his feet
[02:01] <+Editanon> "The old man sent me to keep an eye on you girls, and now what kind of big man would i be if i turned that down?"
[02:02] <+Alvitr> (can I say I copied down the mission off the board? I meant to, but didn't say it at the time?)
[02:03] <+Editanon> On standing the guy looks slightly more imposing, standing at 6'3'', big musles, large leather gloves and boots in a simple yet functional black pants and shirt
[02:03] * +Kea raises an eyebrow and glances at Alvitr, she seems rather unimpressed
[02:03] <+Editanon> You took the paper right off the board, you also have haidens note
[02:03] <+Alvitr> (ah, ok)
[02:04] * +Alvitr nods, and hands over the mission brief, turned so he can read it
[02:05] <+Editanon> He holds up his hands in front of it "Oh no, this mission is for you girls to take care of. I am just here to make sure you both dont get in over your heads. The names Tristan by the way, Tristan Ross, biggest star this side of Barricade."
[02:06] * +Alvitr nods again
[02:07] <+Editanon> Tristan sighs "The whole no talking thing is gonna get old fast, but i guess not everyone can shine as bright as me, so ill let it pass."
[02:07] <+Alvitr> "Alvitr Smith. Her name is Kea; I didn't catch her last name."
[02:08] * +Kea reaches into one of other pouches and pulls out an apparently pre-written card. They appear to be colour coded and have much better handwriting
[02:09] <+Kea> This one reads "My name is Kea Kaha and I'm here to help"
[02:09] * +Alvitr peeks over curiously, and nods in approval
[02:09] <+Editanon> Tristan squints at the card and scratches his head "Ohhh... kay.. Nice to meet ya."
[02:10] <+Editanon> Tristan whistles over to the stable hands "Hey! Did you guys get any horses in last night?!"
[02:11] <+Editanon> The stable boy waves and nods then dissapears into the building "Its the only way to travle, theyll get us where ever we are going nice and fast."
[02:13] <+Editanon> Soon the stable boy returns with three horses, one solid black, one a cream brown, the other white with red patches near the end. Tristan grabs the white one an hops on.
[02:13] <+Editanon> "Common girls, lead the way."
[02:14] * +Kea shrugs and hops on the cream one, struggling a bit to get on
[02:14] * +Alvitr walks over and pats the black one's nose gently, and provided it doesn't react poorly, swings up into the saddle
[02:15] <+Editanon> "Almost all the animals here are trained just fine, even an idiot can ride them asleep." As Tristan says this his horse bucks slightly and he almost falls out of his saddle
[02:16] * +Alvitr raises another skeptical eyebrow, pats her black horse for being nice, and directs the mount towards the road to Dunwich
[02:16] * +Kea seems amused by this, her cheekbones even rise up out of her turtleneck, hinting at a smile
[02:17] <+Editanon> Tristan rights himself and squeezes the horse to get going. Hes soon following along side Alvitr, but slightly ahead of her.
[02:18] * +Kea follows behind taking the other side of Alvitr to Tristan
[02:18] <+Editanon> Now comes the travle bit, you both can choose to skip this part and end directly up at the map, with time passed and no worse for ware. Or you can play it out and see what kind of nonsense might happen.

[02:19] <+Alvitr> (that's fine by me then)
[02:21] <+Editanon> The three of you speed off south at a reasonable pace. The hours go by and you make it to the edge of the forest. Tristans stomach growls loudly, he reaches into his pack and pulls out what looks like a candy bar, though your not sure.

[02:26] * +Kea writes a quick note before leaning over to hand it to Alvitr
[02:26] <+Kea> "Caution is best"
[02:26] <+Editanon> Tristan lets out a laugh ahead of you "Now why would we do that?"
[02:27] * +Alvitr nods, and turns back towards Tristan
[02:27] <+Alvitr> "Prevents the horses getting injured because they can't see well."
[02:28] <+Editanon> Tristan roughly pats the side of his horse "Eh, these things are smart enough to not trip over themselves." His horse bucks almost knocking him off again and slows to match Alvitrs pace
[02:29] * +Alvitr reaches over to pat Tristan's horse's head
[02:29] <+Alvitr> "Decision reached."
[02:29] <+Editanon> His horse neighs almost like its laughing
[02:30] <+Editanon> Tristan rights himself "Fine you little animal, have it your way. Big men have to comprimise sometime."
[02:32] <+Editanon> The three of you continue on south at a slower pace. Little of interest is seen or happens. The forest continues to get dark.

[02:33] <+Editanon> Tristans stomach growls once again, this time echoing accros the forest. He reaches into his pack to pull out another candybar like object and munches it quickly.

[02:34] <+Editanon> So far no, either lush forest or old over grown trees on either side of the road
[02:35] <+Editanon> Tristan keeps his eyes forward and speaks up "You two girls need some rest? Or would you like to keep going."
[02:36] * +Alvitr turns to look at Kea questioningly
[02:37] * +Kea shakes her head and points onward down the path.
[02:38] * +Alvitr nods, and turns back to the front
[02:38] <+Alvitr> (what's in our rations?)
[02:38] <+Editanon> Some dried meat, you are not sure what kind but it is edible, as well as some sugar and salt cubes
[02:40] <+Editanon> "So? Whatll it be?"
[02:40] <+Editanon> Tristans head twitches slightly, as if following something
[02:41] <+Alvitr> "We'll keep going for now, unless you have a reason to stop."
[02:42] <+Editanon> Tristan quickly claps his hands together and then wipes them on his pants. The clap echos even louder then his stomach previously "Nope, no reason here. Just dont go fallen asleep on your horses."
[02:43] * +Alvitr pulls out a piece of dried meat, cuts a bite sized piece off with her pocket knife, and pops it into her mouth before returning the knife to its sheath and sealing the remaining meat back with the rest of the ration

[02:43] * +Kea furrows her brow and glares at Tristan as he makes all that noise
[02:45] <+Editanon> The three of you continue on for a few more hours. Tristan twitches randomly and continues to clap, blaming bugs attacking him. You both hear some rustling every now and then, but nothing ever makes its presense known, if there is anything out there at all

[02:48] <+Editanon> Each time Tristan claps, neither of you see any bugs before or after. Kea what strikes you as really odd is his pants are extremly clean, not a bit of bug guts anywhere on them
[02:50] <+Editanon> Tristan reaches into his pack and pulls out a dull orange crystal and a glass box on a stick. He smashes the crystal in his hands and puts it in the box. Soon the area is filled with a soft orange and yellow light like a campfire.
[02:50] * +Kea stares at Tristan for a bit before surreptitiously passing a note to Alvitr "What do you make of him?"
[02:53] * +Alvitr reads the note underhand, waits until the next time he claps, and then gives a pronounced shrug, converted into a stretch afterwards
[02:54] <+Editanon> You both hear the same low rustle as earlier up ahead. Almost immideitly after Tristan lets off another loud clap "GOD DAMN BUGS LEAVE ME ALONE!"
[02:54] <+Alvitr> "Are you...ok?"
[02:55] <+Editanon> "Id be better if i brought my mosquito repelant with me."
[02:56] <+Alvitr> "Is it bad enough you'd like to stop?"
[02:57] * +Kea write a note, crumples it up and throws it at Tristan "No bugs, what's really bugging you?"
[02:57] <+Editanon> "And let these damn things have free shots at a sitting target? No thanks. If you two girls need to stop an get some sleep though thats fine."

[02:58] <+Editanon> The note gets stuck in Tristans mohawk. He gives you a miffed look and fishes it out reading it. "You ever try swatting these things? Buggers are fast, takes a big man such as myself to just see them buzz about."
[02:59] <+Editanon> Horses are fine, great even. The slow pace has left them with plenty of energy and kept them warmed up enough to go all out if nesscary
[03:02] <+Alvitr> (approximately how much time do we have until we reach Dunwich?)
[03:02] <+Editanon> At current pace and no detours, you should be there by late afternoon tommorow
[03:05] * +Alvitr turns to Kea again
[03:05] <+Alvitr> "When did you want to stop?"
[03:07] * +Kea thinks before a moment before scribbling another note "I want to help the miner ASAP but we cant help anyone if were too tired"

[03:08] <+Alvitr> "We think we probably should call it soon and get some sleep."
[03:09] <+Editanon> Tristan continues to look forward and nods "Alright, theres a small clearing just up ahead off the side of the road, we camp there."

[03:12] <+Editanon> Tristan enters the clearing, hopping off his horse and tieing it to a low tree branch. He moves to the center of the area and drops his pack then drives his torch into the ground next to it. The area is bathed in a warm light, though past the first few trees you see nothin but darkness
[03:12] <+Editanon> "You two get set up and get some sleep, Ill take watch tonight."
[03:13] <+Alvitr> "If you're sure. I only need around 45 minutes of sleep."
[03:14] <+Editanon> "Feel free to sleep till morning, your both gonna need it tommorow."
[03:15] * +Alvitr nods, curtsies in thanks, and sets up a tent
[03:16] * +Alvitr peeks her head out and gives an inquisitive look at Kea
[03:17] <+Editanon> Tristan picks up a large rock and plops it next to the torch, sitting on it
[03:18] * +Kea looks around for a bit, as if considering other options, before making a sighing motion and heading for the tent.
[03:18] <+Editanon> "You get some shuteye too Kea, and no more throwing things in my hair."
[03:20] * +Alvitr nods, and when Kea opens the tent finds Alvitr off to the side curled up around her katana and covered with a blanket and her removed longcoat
[03:23] * +Kea glances around for a bit before taking the other side of the tent. She sets aside her belt and pack before crawling into a ball and pulling her sweater over herself.
[03:25] <+Editanon> The torch light flickers and dances against the tent walls and Tristans shadow can easily be seen. Both of you are quickly taken by sleep.

[03:34] <+Editanon> Kea you manage to stir awake just barely, you could easily just go back to sleep. Some rusteling was comming from where Tristan was sitting by the torch, no other noise.
[03:35] * +Kea sits up and narrows her eyes, before creeping to the tent entrance to check on what's going on outside
[03:36] <+Editanon> Kea you see Tristans sittin with his back to you right where he was when you went to sleep last night. He is indeed awake as you can see his head scanning the forest infront of him.
[03:37] * +Kea waves at him trying to get his attention
[03:38] <+Editanon> His back is to you and he doesnt quite turn his head enough either way to see your wave
[03:39] * +Kea rolls her eyes before leaving the tent and walking up to him
[03:39] <+Editanon> Tristan continues to sit, scanning ahead
[03:39] <+Editanon> "Just go back to sleep, still a few hours left you can get."
[03:41] * +Kea shakes her head vigorously before tapping her wrist and pointing down the path.
[03:42] <+Editanon> "I know the group of miners that issued the request, their a bunch of strong and knuckleheaded idiots. They wont die that easily, we have time."
[03:42] * +Kea stamps her foot and crosses her arms
[03:43] <+Editanon> Tristan continues to scan ahead, a stern look on his face this time "Sleep. Dont make me knock you out."
[03:45] * +Kea leaves Tristan with one of her pre-written cards before heading back to the tent.
[03:45] <+Kea> This one reads "I am a doctor. I have a responsibility to help others"
[03:45] <+Editanon> Tristan reads it and lets out a long sigh
[03:46] * +Kea gives Alvitr a gentle shake
[03:49] <+Alvitr> (does that automatically wake me up?)
[03:49] <+Editanon> your a deep sleeper, so no
[03:50] <+Alvitr> (so notice roll?)
[03:50] * +Kea shakes her a bit more, less gentle now

[03:52] <+Alvitr> (actually, if I only need 48 minutes of sleep, would I have woken naturally by this point?
[03:53] * +Kea gives up and pulls one of her needles out of the sweater's material
[03:53] <+Editanon> you only 'need' 48 minutes, but you can still sleep a full schedual or more like a normal person, and once asleep deep sleeper takes effect
[03:54] <+Editanon> plus keas got the right idea
[03:54] * +Kea jabs Alvitr in the shoulder, avoiding any critical areas
[03:54] <+Alvitr> (do I need to roll notice for that?)
[03:55] <+Editanon> Alvitr you quickly shoot stright into a sitting position, a sharp pain on your right shoulder
[03:55] <+Editanon> now awake, mostly
[03:56] * +Alvitr blinks confusedly, a hand on her shoulder
[03:57] * +Kea shrugs, an apologetic look in her eye. She plucks the needle out and slips it back into her sweater. She turns back to Alvitr and gestures towards the tent exit with her thumb
[03:58] * +Alvitr nods, and streches and yawns hugely, hands poking at the top of the tent. She fumbles on her coat, fastens her katana at her hip, and crawls out of the tent, blinking at the sunlight
[04:00] <+Editanon> Very few rays of sunlight manage to break their ways through the trees, as far as you look out it still looks like its night time. The torch still going strong next to Tristan bathing the area in a warm light
[04:01] <+Editanon> He speaks up, still looking ahead "I tried to tell her we still got time, get some more sleep if ya need it."
[04:01] * +Kea fetches her things and heads back outside, snatching her card back from Tristan. A scowl hidden behind her sweater.
[04:05] <+Editanon> Tristan sighs and slicks back his mohawk, which quickly bolts back into its spiky glory. He grabs the torch and his pack and stands up, turning around and walks for his horse "Alright have it your way, grab your stuff, we head out soon"

[04:07] <+Editanon> Alvitr, as Tristan stands and turns you manage to make out a few things of note, for one his right pant leg is all torn up, it wasnt like that last night, for two he has a large cut on left forearm though it seems to be healing already, that also wasnt there last night
[04:08] <+Editanon> Kea, same as above plus you see on his right glove, two gems are glowing softly, both small and rectangular, one purple, one yellow
[04:08] <+Alvitr> "Fight?"
[04:09] <+Editanon> Tristan reaches into his saddle and pulls out some sugar cubes, giving them to his horse. He half looks back "..Huh?"
[04:09] * +Alvitr points at the pants and the cut
[04:10] * +Kea walks right up to Tristan and starts checking the cut, ignoring any protests.
[04:11] <+Editanon> Tristan awkwardly laughs "Oh no, it was dark is all. Had to relieve myself and didnt see where i was goin."
[04:12] <+Editanon> He pulls his arm away from you Kea "Its fine, just a scratch"
[04:12] * +Alvitr shrugs, leaves it to Kea and walks to one of the trees, facing away from the others. She unsheathes her katana, and takes several practice swings until she's fully awake. She then slices upwards, felling a small tree branch with an angled cut. She stabs the branch into the ground, and begins methodically pruning it via sword slashes.
[04:12] <+Editanon> Kea from this close you see its not just a scratch, the wound now mostly healed, was recent, and deep
[04:13] * +Kea rolls her eyes and hands Tristan the very same card from before, before using Superior Ki Healing on him
[04:15] <+Editanon> Tristan sighs and lets Kea do her thing. Soon the wound completly heals leaving nothing but a light red mark tracing where it once was
[04:16] * +Kea pats his arm and hands him a band-aid from her pouch. It's blue and has a smiling cartoon sun on it.
[04:17] <+Editanon> Tristan lets out a loud laugh and slaps the bandaid onto where the wound once was "Now that you two have had you fun, pack up and lets move out."
[04:17] * +Alvitr smiles in satisfaction as nothing is left but a bare stick pointing upwards, and pulls a sharpening stone from her pocket and gives the odd colored blade a couple light passes, then sheathes the katana and heads over to take care of her horse
[04:18] * +Kea tilts her head at Alvitr, before shrugging and heading to her horse.
[04:19] <+Editanon> Tristan hops onto his horse and starts scanning the area around them again
[04:21] * +Alvitr gives the horse some feed and a sugar cube, then swings herself back into the saddle
[04:21] <+Editanon> You both pack up your gear, grab a quick bite to eat, and tend to your horses. Soon you are back on the road again. Continue at the slow pace or pick it up a bit?
[04:22] <+Alvitr> (probably go back to the pace we were riding at at the start of the journey)

[04:26] <+Editanon> The three of you continue down the dimly lit road at a reasonable pace. Soon the trees start to thin and the light gets stronger. Along the way though the branchs of the trees covering the road begin to swing lower.
[04:27] <+Editanon> You both duck out of the way in time to just have them brush your hair or arms. Tristan on the otherhand, takes a thick branch square to the face. It splinters into kindling but he continues on as if it was nothing.
[04:28] <+Editanon> He smiles back at you two letting you know hes fine, a large bump now growing on the side of his head.
[04:29] * +Kea facepalms
[04:29] * +Alvitr looks skeptically at Tristan
[04:30] <+Editanon> Quickly after the encounter with the deadly branches, the three of you arive at a fork in the road. Both paths will get you to your destination. One path continues on through the forest and will take longer, the other goes up and through the hills which will be faster but more tricky to follow
[04:31] * +Alvitr turns to Kea to see what she thinks
[04:32] <+Editanon> Tristan slows his horse to a stop at the fork "Which way girls? These things will be fine in those hills, and honestly im tired of this forest." He says as he rubs his face
[04:33] * +Kea is looking antsy and keeps glancing towards the hills, but makes no move to make a decision.
[04:33] * +Alvitr turns her mount towards the hills, and gives it an appreciative pat on the head
[04:35] <+Editanon> "The hills it is" He says with a click
[04:35] * +Kea looks relieved, following behind
[04:37] <+Editanon> Wisp 4, afternoon
[04:38] <+Editanon> A few short hours and no mishaps to report, the three of you come over a hill and spot the mining base mentioned in the report. You have made it to your destination, mostly, unharmed.
