  1. We Monkey Ball 2 Now Edition

  3. Hey guys, how’s it goin?

  5. I have been more productive with Pokemon Puzzle Challenge in the past week than I was in the previous six months. I took back my Normal and Hard mode records and, yesterday, improved my Easy mode time (slightly). I think I will keep my focus on Easy mode for now, especially now that I have found the most infuriating piece of tech I could imagine finding in this game. It turns out that an optimal soft-reset is over a half-second faster than letting each stage transition play out. Super Monkey Ball 2 does something similar in its story mode, I believe. Optimally, it saves five seconds over the course of Easy mode, but I can imagine getting three seconds out of it on the regular. Fortunately, three seconds is all I need. This is about to get interesting.

  7. SGDQ 2019 submissions also went live on Saturday. I put in my pitches for Pokemon Puzzle Challenge Intense mode and Tetris Attack V-Hard one-handed. Good news: Edobean is totally down for the one-handed race. I think I like my chances of getting both games in considering my track record at previous GDQs. If they don’t, I can’t wait to go through the schedule and pick out the games that snubbed me. Kappa

  9. In other gaming news, I have found myself on some of my downtime away from my computer playing through the Duel Masters trilogy on the Game Boy Advance. Again. I finished my playthrough of the second game, Kaijudo Showdown, in about 6 1/2 hours. I think there’s a decent speedrun in there somewhere. I always wanted to speedrun the trilogy at some point. I actually think Shadow of the Code might be the more tolerable run out of the trio because you can build a custom deck, with some restriction, at the start of the game. I expect that to be a thing I think about years down the line, however.

  11. That’s my life story for the week. Until next time, everyone, thanks for reading!
