- T stood utterly still, watching Danny in total silence. As Larxene took a step back to reassess the situation, Yellow contacted Hermes over the network. *Hermes?*
- *Sweet barracuda of Bermuda, girl, are you alright?*
- *Not really, if we’re being honest… What was it like, touching Gon’s mind?*
- *What? ...Well… it was a whole lot of nothing, honestly. He was too dulled by drugs to feel anything.*
- *...Perfect. I need you to hook me up to his senses.*
- *But why would- ...Ohhhhhhhh… ...I don’t know if we’re still in the same universe, but if he’s out there…*
- When Hermes made the connection, Yellow felt the sharp pain in her leg dull into a haze almost immediately. Her head swam and her vision went blurry as she almost passed out.
- *Whoa! Little too much there, sorry.*
- Once Hermes dialed back on the connection, Yellow felt motion return to her extremities, and as her head cleared she caught part of the conversation that had been going on around her.
- "...but the situation still hasn't changed," Larxene said darkly. "Even if T wants to soul-search instead of fight, even if Kumonga's got cold feet, it's still one-on-one, and one of us hasn't been overworked and outnumbered the whole time." Larxene toyed with one of the daggers in her hand dangerously, keeping her eyes locked on Danny. "I haven't even gotten started."
- "That's..." Yellow began shakily. She pushed herself up, put her feet under her, and for once the screaming pain felt more like a dull ache. Blood spurted from the stab wound in her leg, but the muscles held. She wouldn't last long, but it'd be enough. "That's my line."
