 + between sunny and her younger brother, sunny is the only one who got to experience love from both her parents, even if the situation was extremely tense. quite frankly, neither of her parents were ready to have a child at the time sunny was born. her mother was a free spirit who liked to live her life to the fullest, without the extra baggage weight of a daughter a husband. sunny's parents never married, even though they tried to stay together for the sake of their child. however, it was no secret that her mother lived for the thrill of life, and was sleeping around with other men. due to the pair never actually being in love, there we’re no hard feelings or betrayal. but there were arguments over the conflicting views of what counted a single reckless, and what was the best way to raise a child. however, while sunny has no idea how it actually happened, her mother fell pregnant again, and somehow with her father's second child. given the circumstances, it's no surprise that people questioned who the father was, as sunny's mother wasn't the most loyal person, and her promiscuous behaviour was well known in the community. one child, junghwa could deal with, but two was completely out of the question. so as soon as she gave birth to sunny's younger brother, son junghwa took off, and none of them have seen her since. sunny was six when her mother left for good, without a trace, leaving behind kindergarten student sunny, newborn baby sehyung, and now single father, heo hyunjin who had absolutely no idea what to do with either of his children. it was then that sunny realised she was going to have to do whatever she could to aid her father, and at the mere age of six, she became the closest thing to a mother her baby brother had, frequently changing his diaper, always going to calm him when he woke up crying in the middle of the night, and spending her pocket money on whatever toys she could afford for her little brother to play with. their family situation wasn't exactly the most ideal, and they didn't have a very stable income, which may have been the reason her father got involved with the mafia. sunny was twelve when she found out her father was part of the mafia. naturally, she'd figured that her father was up to something, and she'd often wondered where he would get large amounts of cash from, but she figured it was better not to question it. she only found out of his involvement when she accidentally heard her father talking with another man in hushed tones in the living room one night, when she was supposed to be asleep. too scared to do anything, she quickly hurried back to bed, her original intention to get a glass of milk long forgotten as she curled up in her blankets beside sehyung. sunny trusted her father enough to know that he wouldn't do anything that would hurt her or sehyung, and she knew that he'd never let anyone else hurt them either. it was enough to convince herself that they'd be okay, and not keep her awake at night for weeks thinking about it. sunny never actually confronted her father about the mafia, and she thinks that if he was still alive today, he'd probably resent her involvement with the organisation. except he's dead, and can't really do anything about it now. despite his involvement with the mafia, that wasn't the cause of heo hyunjin's death. if people were to hear sunny's entire background story, they would immediately come to the assumption that her father had died during an intense mafia mission, or getting on the wrong side of the mafia and being killed as a punishment. however, sunny can confirm that neither of these were the reason for her father's death. heo hyunjin died on the thirteenth of novemeber, 2014, two weeks short of sunny's eighteenth birthday. the cause of death was a car accident, with no suspicion behind it. hyunjin was driving home from his weekly evening shopping trip when another car collided with his, and he was announced dead on site. the next morning, sunny and sehyung opened the door to a police officer to deliver the current news. now, it's sunny and her younger brother against the world, and sunny will do whatever she can to make sure that her younger brother is okay. even if it means breaking the law and getting involved with the shady business that goes on behind doors.

 ◦ if there is one thing that heo sunny is, it is level headed. heo sunny is the best person to have around in a crisis because she is unbelievably calm. while some people might freak out and begin rambling and try to think of a solution, only for their mind to go blank, sunny is the opposite. she will react calmly with no hesitation, and has the problem solved within minutes. sunny isn't one of the mafia's best planners for nothing. sunny always has a plan. always. and not just one, you can bet she has a plan for every letter in the alphabet in the (unlikely) event that her original one fails. she's a good person to have around, because her plans area always planned out to the smallest detail without flaw, and she will make sure that the execution of said plan is flawless, even if she only works behind the scenes, in contact with the active agents via and earpiece, calmly explaining everything that needs to be said. she's known for her calm aura, and her non existed temper. there are very few people that have ever seen sunny lose her shit (only because it's happened very few times), and if anything, sunny's calm nature is almost terrifying. no matter what people seem to do, she never gets angry. try and shoot her? she won't blink an eye when she dodges. try and pick a fight with her? all you'll receive is a raised eyebrow in return. (truth be told, the easiest way to make any enemy out of her is to go after her brother). it's probably best that you don't anger her enough to snap, because anyone who's seen her lose it can vouch for the fact that despite her face, she can be pretty damn terrifying.

 ◦ sunny is also known to be a very suspicious person. it's not surprising, given her involvement with the mafia, but she's not very quick to trust people, not even those in the mafia. the bonds she shares with the other girls have been built over the course of years, not within a matter of minutes. she's not the type of person to just let people in so easily. she's spent almost her entire childhood looking after her younger brother, she's never really had time for friends. maybe it's the reason why her social skills are virtually dead, and she appears to be rather closed off around new people, but she's honestly just cautious. sunny is definitely not reckless, in no way, shape or form. she always thinks things through, and every single one of her moves is calculated beforehand, prepared for all of the possible outcomes. she often comes off as closed off or in some cases arrogant, due to her habit of shutting people out, but it's mainly because she's always been on her own throughout her entire life, with no one but her father and brother. all sunny wants is to protect her brother, and shutting out people who haven't earned her trust is her defence mechanism. but in some cases, she can be overly suspicious. it's almost impossible for you to get anything past her, because she always seems to know when people are up to something shady. nothing gets past her, and it's almost impossible to keep secrets from her (the others have tried multiple years in a row to surprise her on her birthday but she always figures something is up before they can surprise her).

 ◦ analysing people happens to be a personal talent of sunny's. she's very good at reading facial expression and body language (one of the main reasons why people can never seem to get anything past her). she's extremely good at figuring people out, and can usually paint a pretty accurate picture of other people without so much as speaking two words to them. she's a very analytical person, to the point where she analyses the shit out of almost every single thing other people do (she's always been a great literature student). this always seems to give her advantage, mainly because sunny isn't exactly an open book. her face, her occupation and her personality don't seem to match, and all seem to contradict each other. her face looks far too innocent to be involved in the mafia, and her maternal instincts that are observed by outsiders make people assume that she'd never do anything to hurt other people. unlike some of the other more social girls, sunny prefers to sit down quietly. it's probably again a result of her unsociable behaviour, as she's not usually the sort to start conversations with strangers, and instead prefers to analyse them from a far. all of the friends she has today had to make the first move, and spend ages waiting for sunny to let them in, so her tendency to shy away from people she's not close with isn't anything new. she's always just been a genuinely quiet person, and doesn't often find the need to blabber on about useless things to fill silences, and usually only speaks when she has something that needs to be said.

 ◦ in her group of friends, sunny is that one mom friend™. she is always looking out for the other girls and making sure that they're eating and getting enough sleep and not making reckless decisions. sunny's basically been a mom since the age of six, when she took on the responsibility to help raise her younger brother, and it's a habit that's never really left her. even though there are people in the group who are older than her, sunny still treats them as if they're younger. she's almost a bit of a contradiction, due to her line  of work, because she's always carrying around a basic first aid kit (just in case TOUCH forgets hers, because you can never be too prepared) and she always has lollipops in her bag for bribing people (an old trick she discovered worked on her little brother when he was younger and prone to throwing tantrums). she's the type to pack sandwiches and food for the others whenever they're on missions because "you can't shoot people on an empty stomach" and she's even known to write snack breaks into some of her plans just to make sure the others eat (it might seem ridiculous to some people, but sunny has a talent for fitting snack breaks in between kicking ass). she's also an extremely organised person, and a bit of a neat freak. her room is always neat and tidy, because she can't stand having clothes thrown across the floor or papers scatter across her desk. when things are clean, she can easily find everything she needs. being organised allows her to be prepared for anything, which comes in useful working for the mafia. as a planner, sunny needs to be organised, and needs to account for every little detail, and without her organisation skills, let's just say that her plans would not have a 100% success rate.

 + PROTECTIVE, STUBBORN, TWO FACED - " touch him and you die. "
 ◦ sunny is an extremely protective person, especially when it comes to her younger brother. hell, the entire reason she's in the mafia is to make sure that nothing happens to her younger brother, and to keep him out of dangerous and illegal situations. sunny would risk her life for him, and it's no secret just how protective she is over him. she has threatened to kill people before if they so much as think about laying a hand on sehyung. it's is actually almost amazing how two-faced she can be in situations like this. she's usually a calm and motherly person who never yells or get angry, but the minute you so much as look at her brother the wrong way, she'll have a gun pointed at your head. she can mess with sunny all you want, beat her to the ground, and attack her, but you don't dare to lay a finger on her little brother, or you will regret it, sunny will make sure of it. she can go from looking completely innocent and harmless to murderous in a matter of seconds, should you push the wrong buttons. going after her brother is literally the only thing that can set her off into a murderous state. it's not that hard to avoid doing it. if you don't have a death wish, leave heo sehyung alone. you'll regret it if you don't. heo sunny can also be a very stubborn person, in the sense that she never ever seems to give up. even if things seem impossible, sunny will stay up until four a.m. trying to come up with a plan to solve it. impossible just isn't a word in sunny's dictionary, especially when it comes to her plans. she didn't become known as one of the mafia's best planners for nothing.

 + beg: it's no secret that sunny is extremely suspicious of him. sunny's always suspicious around new people, and quite frankly, the only people she really lets into her life are the other girls and her brother. and she's perfectly content to leave things that way. she doesn't need him barging in and trying to befriend her. she's not exactly used to people wanting to be her friend (in school, people labelled her as antisocial and stopped bothering after a week). she's not really sure how to go about it, since she thinks that he wants something from her (because everyone wants something, sunny's come to learn). there's honestly just awkward tension in the air, because he seems to remain oblivious to all of sunny's attempt to keep him at arms length – both literally and figuratively. the tension is obvious to everyone who looks between them (at least one of the other girls would probably tease her about it being sexual tension or something equally ridiculous). if there is one thing that doyoung is, it's persistent in his attempts to get sunny to open up to him and trust him, and honestly, it sort of gets on her nerves, because as time goes on, it gets harder and harder for sunny to push him away and keep him at arms length.

 + middle: doyoung's persistency does eventually wear down sunny's walls. it's clear that she still doesn't trust him completely, but she's not as closed off anymore, and will actually participate in conversations with him now. she'll also reveal little things about herself to him (all of which has been calculated and agonised over in her head, in fear of revealing too much). the pair are becoming somewhat of a team, something that sunny has conflicted feelings about. honestly, doyoung probably isn't a bad person. from what she's figured out about it, besides being involved with the mafia, he's actually a pure and sweet soul. however, sunny doesn't want to be friends with him so easily, and she wants to keep pushing him out, but it annoys her because he always manages to find a way to squirm back into her heart without even trying, and it's harder and harder to her to keep her walls built up. eventually, sunny has no choice but to begrudgingly agree to work with him, especially after they begin to be teamed up to work together on big heists and other important mafia missions (which isn't too bad, because at least them sunny can boss him around and he has to do what she says, because she's the plan maker, and she's in charge of making sure everything goes according to plan).

 + end: despite sunny's attempts to push him away, he's managed to weasel his way past her walls, and there is now a bond of trust between them that's developed over time. doyoung is a prime example of the fact that sunny takes a while to warm up to people, and even longer when it's a person she might potentially be attracted to. there's an unspoken attraction between them that neither of them really mention (they don't need to, seeing as all the others mention is at every chance they get). it's kind of at the point where they both know where their affections lie, but neither of them feel the need to voice it out loud, because they're comfortable with the way things are. it's almost as if they're unofficially dating, as the other's claim them to be. except they don't know that doyoung kissed her for the first time to stop her from stressing gout over her plans at two a.m in the morning. or that she kissed him a second tim when she was relieved that he came back alive from a mission. they have a relationship that is built over trust to the point where it doesn't need to be voiced that they're dating, and that they know themselves. as for the others, well, they'll find out at some point. (it'll probably be doyoung who lets it slip).

 ◦ sunny's suspicious nature comes out in full force during there first meeting, because she can't for the life of her figure out why he seems so interested in talking to her, and she's about 90% sure that he has hidden intentions and that he wants something from her.

 ◦ doyoung is far more sociable that sunny, so naturally, he went over to go and make conversation, because he thought she looked like a nice person (her looks make her seem extremely innocent, that's no secret), and she was standing alone, so he didn't need to interrupt anything to get her attention.

how she treats him —
 + at the beginning, she treats him the same way she treats any stranger – she's suspicious, and she doesn't let him too close to her. it's just the type of person that sunny is. however, as things between them progress, she slowly stops pushing him away as much, and eventually, whatever she felt for him before has gradually turned into attraction for him. this ends with her having no idea what to do, because sunny is bad enough at making friends (the only reason she has friends now is because they're persistent and were insistent on being her friends), she's not good at doing romantic relationships. she's also not good at noticing when other people are attracted to her, either. she's never had time to experiment in things like this, and she prefers not to think about it, because it is kind of embarrassing to be twenty one and single for your entire life. it takes a straight up confession from him, in the form of doyoung kissing her one night to take her mind off the plans she's stressing over for sunny to realise that, oh, he mind genuinely be interested in her two.

how he treats her —
 + he's his usually self, in the fact that he tries to be friendly and befriend her, only to find out that she doesn't seem to respond well to it. all he wanted was to make her feel at ease, yet for a reason he can't fathom, he's somehow managed to do the total opposite. however, he's not deterred, and if anything, it's made him even more intent on getting her to open up to. he knows that he can be persistent, and he has no intentions of giving up, despite a lot of his attempts failing. it's only towards the middle when he finally begins to break through, and this gives him even more motivation to get her to trust him, and he's relieved when she finally, finally starts to let him past her walls. it doesn't take long for them to form a bond, and as soon as doyoung begins to recognise the less platonic and more romantic feelings he has for her, he's quick to act on them, kissing her out of the blue, leaving her stunned. but it's when she kisses him out of relief when he returns from a particularly dangerous mission? he knows for sure that she returns his feelings, and he can't keep the smile off his face.

good/bad ending — i'm a sucker for happy endings, so i kind of want them to get their cute little ending with there (somewhat) secret relationship explained in the section above. however, if you want them to have a bad ending, that's totally fine too, since you're writing it, and ultimately the final say is up to you.

chance of survival —
 + she's got a pretty good chance at survival, given that she's in charge of planning. she might not be the best in combat, but she's smart and quick on her feet, and you can be the that’s she ask 25 backup plans for every letter of the alphabet. she always has her moves planned and calculated, and it's very difficult to catch her off guard, so she has a pretty good survival rate. if you try and kidnap her, be aware that she'lol be coming up with a well formulated plan to get herself out of it quicker than you think. if there’s is one thing to remember about heo sunny, it's that she ALWAYS has a plan. even when she doesn't think she has a plan, she's got ideas floating around her head constantly. don't let her fool you, because heo sunny is much smarter than you think.

fighting skills — 50
 + sunny's not exactly the most skilled in combat, she will admit. it's probably the main reason why she stays behind the scenes, and comes up with the plans, leaving it up to the others to actually put her plans into action. given that she's in the mafia, she does have the basics of combat down (there's noway they'd let her go around being completely useless, not in this line of business), but if she takes a swing at you, you can bet there's absolutely no technique behind it and she's just trying to get you away from her long enough for her to make a run for it.

 + sunny's very stubborn, and she's not the sort of person to give up. you can see it in the way she spends days agonising over the best layout for any of her plans, staying up until ungodly hours of the night, changing things to make sure there are absolutely no flaws in it at all. sunny never gives up on her plans, and she always has a plan (even though some are better than others).

 + sunny joined the mafia because it was the only way she could protect her younger brother. she didn't think that she had anything to offer the mafia, but she was desperate, and as it turned out they found her a valuable asset, due to her planning abilities.

connection to the mafia (before meeting li) —
 + her father was connected to the mafia, as a means to get a somewhat stable income of money. he had two children to raise on his own, and a wife who took off the moment their second child was born. it might not have been the best option, but he needed the money. both sunny and her brother we’re kept out of the whole mafia thing for the most part of their lives, until their father passed away. the mafia weren't pleased, and they needed someone to take over heo hyunjin's job, and who better than one of his two kids? originally, they wanted sunny’s younger brother, which unleashed her protective nature. sehyung was the only person that she had left, and she'd be damned if she likes eat anything happen to him. letting him work for the mafia was completely out of the question. but the mafia aren't people you want to mess with, and with the looming threat of having both of them killed if they’d refused to cooperate, sunny volunteered herself, on the condition that they'd leave her brother alone. they took the deal in return for her assets and loyalty, and as long as the mafia leaves her brother alone, he will continue to be loyal, regardless of what they make her do.
