- D drive is 'corrupted'. Tried running chkdsk multiple times, here's the errors.
- commands tried:
- chkdsk /f D:\
- chkdsk /r /f D:\
- chkdsk /r D:\
- Every time, CHKDSK has ended in one of two ways.
- "An error occurred while examining files and directories."
- OR
- "Corruption was found while examining the volume bitmap." --and then it hangs. I have waited about an hour and it still has not left this message.
- I can't copy any files to the drive when it is mounted but I can see the files on it. I have not attempted to directly access this drive. The drive is 2TB, 7200RPM. Formatted as exFAT.
- Running Windows 7 Ultimate x64.
- Certain apps that may require the drive (Discord, ShareX) fail to open.
