  1. Fall/Autumn -
  2.
  3. Comfortability while outside: A+
  4. Generally one of the best times of year to be outside. The blazing heat of August is just about over, and you have that month or so lull where it isn't too cold either. Maybe mid 70 to low 70s into October, and then after that it can drop the high 50s, early 60s. Still not too bad honestly. Maybe a light sweatshirt outside, but I think most people are cool with that.
  5.
  6. Does cool shit happen during this time of year?: B+
  7. At least one of the following: Labor Day, Columbus Day and Veterans day you're going to be off for school/work, and sometimes all 3. They aren't particularly exciting, but if they get me away from my daily responsibilities for a day, I'm a fan. The bigger holidays, Thanksgiving & Halloween, are also in the Fall. Fall is also home to The NFL regular season starting, as well as the MLB playoffs. Some negative things to note would be grade school & potentially college starting up again, as well as potentially having to rake leaves & seeing the end of daylight sayings. Overall, there are more things to look forward to than not.
  8.
  9. The Driving Experience: B
  10. This time of year, you will definitely be turning your heat on in the morning & switching to the AC in the afternoon/early evening. Admittedly, it eventually becomes a bother, but it's obviously not a big deal in the scheme of things. Another thing to note is that from June until November is hurricane season, and that is always a bit of a mystery. Sometimes trees are down, sometimes even powerlines are down, but the asterisk this time is that a hurricane is usually a one time occurrence during the season. Other than that, there are not typically terrain issues this time of year, unless you want to count branches that could fall from trees. An average B.
  11.
  12. Winter -
  13.
  14. Comfortability while outside: C+
  15. This particular criterion will likely be the most divisive within the Winter and Fall seasons. Typically, people either like it cold, or they like it hot. Personally I prefer cold, but when it gets real cold, it is still quite uncomfortable. Obviously, this is the most likely time of year you are going to get sick if you're not dressed properly outside. Walking in snow/while it's snowing is quite enjoyable from a visual perspective, but then you realize eventually that it's not actually that great. Shoes are wet when you come inside, and you can easily slip and fall. And the ice is even worse.
  16.
  17. Does cool shit happen during this time of year?: A
  18. It's not a secret that Christmas and New Years are during the winter, two of the most popular times of the year in the USA. The time of year everyone is (supposedly) happier, and where people can put aside their differences in the spirit of giving and living on to the next calendar year. The Super Bowl - the most watched sport event of the year - is also during the winter. In school, this is usually a big time off point. Post New Years is supposedly a big motivation point for people to begin new goals. There are also a few negatives, though. The holidays seem to bring out worst predatory practices out of companies - but more importantly - shoveling snow is a nightmare, and especially so for people with physical problems who have no other choice.
  19.
  20. The Driving Experience: D
  21. It really feels like that in the winter, the heat just never really turns on fast enough. Obviously it's likely turning on the same speed at which the AC turns on in the summer, but still, there are few things worse than getting in a freezing car and shivering until the heat finally comes on while huddling over the little vent. And of the course the bigger problem, snow. People just flat out forget how to drive in the snow after the first time it snows again. No idea how to create lanes without being able to see the lines, no idea how to brake while adjusting for ice/snow, and no idea how to clean the snow off of their cars as to avoid snow leaking off their back windshield onto your front windshield while driving at high speeds. Cleaning it off your car is part of the driving experience in my book, and is also awful by the way. Bad all around.
  22.
  23. Spring -
  24.
  25. Comfortability while outside: B+
  26. It's extremely refreshing to be outside during Spring, especially after a long winter. Finally shedding that jacket or hoodie and enjoying those short sleeves. Very freeing. It's also similar to Fall in a reverse sense temperature wise. The negatives would be the allergies that come out from hiding with all the new pollen being spread, as well as the bugs that are now around.
  27.
  28. Does cool shit happen during this time of year?: C
  29. Spring is notoriously known for the slowest months of the year (at least holiday wise), March and April. They seem to drag very slowly, even with Easter existing. Also, usually around the time of year is when people get their seasonal depression. The few pros would be March Madness along with Spring break during school.
  30.
  31. The Driving Experience: B+
  32. Aside from pollen being all over your car seemingly everywhere you park, there isn't too much to note here as far as the driving experience. One thing to note though is that it's similar to Fall as far as the AC + heat goes. Because there are not hurricanes and falling branches to worry about, we'll put this slightly above Fall.
  33.
  34. Summer -
  35.
  36. Comfortability while outside: C
  37. While it is quite easy to get sick while improperly dressed in the Winter, it's possible that it may be just as punishing in the Summer. People see it as a luxury being able to dress down in the Summer, but sometimes you just want to wear pants or a hat, and you will get punished for it hard by the heat. Sweating is extremely awful, and I pity anyone with sweating issues during day-to-day activities throughout the year. Showers are plentiful if you are outside for any extended period of time, and people will get pissed when they are feeling hot. Overall, I really never want to leave the house in the summer unless I have to (God bless whoever invented AC).
  38.
  39. Does cool shit happen during this time of year?: B+
  40. Besides 4th of July, there are really no holidays to speak of during this time of year unless you want to count Mothers & Fathers day. But it seems like the weather & freedom from school help people create their own, non-obligatory cool shit to do/celebrate. The season of BBQs, pool parties, water parks, amusement parks, camping, and more. NBA playoffs are also typically around this time of year. We'll be giving this a slightly above average grade of B+, as this criterion is quite dependent on the creativeness among friends to have a good time without depending on society telling you to do so.
  41.
  42. The Driving Experience: B
  43. Getting in a hot car has to be number 2 in terms of worst things to experience while driving throughout the year, but that's really it in all honesty. After that AC is cranking or those windows are down, there's not a single road hazard to think about, and driving is extremely satisfying. Typically, the sun hasn't began to set post-work thanks to daylight savings, making driving home from work even better. A good time of year for road trips as well.
