- >>== The Fairy in the Bottle ==<<
- Thanalan Sidequest Lv.50
- Requires: The Ultimate Weapon, A Woman and Her Fairy
- Once again, the only thing more odd than this duskwight woman being far from home, is the fact that she now has a Fairy in a Bottle... and a still near-endless supply of water, in a desert.
- Duskwight Woman: Oh, the adventurer returns. (Another woman (Roegadyn Hellsguard (No ash on her nose)) is there who turns to glance at you. The woman will look slightly annoyed if you're female, but is quick to go back to a straight face soon after.) Forgive me, I was just about to consider selling the fairy you retrieved to this woman, who came all the way from another region.
- (The Hellsguard woman has long hair, uses Face 1 (Upper left.) 100 Height, 100 Bust Size. She also seems to have some sort of gown/dress attire, more noble-like. She has no ash on her nose, and is naturally tan rather than more red. Her hair is vivid purple, and her lips a purple color along with her eyes.)
- Hellsguard Woman: Yes, yes. We should probably get on with that actually. How much is he again?
- Duskwight Woman: I'm afraid you might not be able to pay for it...
- Hellsguard Woman: Well? How much is it?
- Duskwight Woman: Well, even though you do look like you have a considerable amount of gil, perhaps you should consider the Fairy Boy's feelings....
- (The Hellsguard woman is suddenly taken aback and then looks down. She stares for a moment, the Fairy Boy stares back up at her. The tall Roegadyn woman bows in an apologetic manner.)
- Hellsguard Woman: Forgive me, I had thought at first... never mind. I should have shown more courtesy to such a noble creature. (She soon stands straight again and smiles down at the little fairy boy.) I wouldn't want to buy him so much to have him as company. Despite me being such high class, I have few friends who actually sit down and listen to me. (The fairy boy looks away blushing suddenly.) If I could have him, perhaps my stress of not being able to open up could be relieved.
- Duskwight Woman: How thoughtful and wholesome. By the way, could I perhaps have your name?
- Sinful Hamlet: It is Sinful Hamlet. I assure you that this fairy will be in a good home if I could have him accompany me.
- Duskwight Woman: Well... yes. I could sell him to you for about... hmm... actually, I should probably just give him to you. Putting a price on him wouldn't be very fair. (She picks up the bottle and soon hands it to Sinful Hamlet. (Who promptly looks surprised and taken aback. She nods smiling and soon takes the bottle.)
- Sinful Hamlet: Thank you so much. Actually, I think she told me, you were the one who brought this adorable little fairy. (You nod.) Would you perhaps come to my place? Or rather, where I am staying currently? (You nod smiling this time.) Thank you, we'll talk more there. (She bows and heads off. (The duskwight merchant waves to you as well.)
- ---- Talk to Sinful Hamlet
- (Ul'Dah - Steps of Nald at X: 9.2, Y: 8.7)
- Sinful Hamlet: Good, you're here. Let us go to the Gold Saucer actually, it would be far easier to talk there with all the lights and sounds. (You nod and she soon heads off.)
- ---- Meet with Sinful Hamlet at the Manderville Lounge.
- (The Gold Saucer at X: 5.9, Y: 6.9)
- (A cut-scene will play.)
- Sinful Hamlet: (She soon sits down on one of the couches / sofas.) I have been searching for fairies for a long time. (If you're scholar/unlocked scholar:) And I don't mean fairies of Nym either. (Everyone:) I mean honest to goodness pixies / fairies. You see, I've always heard tales of them... how they are good at magick and are warm with soothing energy. That was part of the reason, I have so much stress in my life. (She looks to the bottle she set on the couch now. Soon, she undoes it and the little Fairy Boy comes out.)
- Fairy Boy: W-Well, miss... I... I can probably help with that.
- Sinful Hamlet: Does a fairy boy have a name, perhaps? (She smiles at him as he floats a bit in front of her.)
- Fairy Boy: I do not remember, It's been so long since I've actually interacted with actual people. You see, I'm not even from this world. Your world, Hydaelyn is it? I come from another. (You talk for a moment.) Shards, you say? Perhaps, but it's unlikely that I'm from one of these so called shards of Hydaelyn.
- Sinful Hamlet: Well, if there was a way to go between shards, it would be quite the convenience to confirm this. (She smiles and nods to the fairy boy.)
- Fairy Boy: I suppose. But, p-perhaps we could instead take a tour of this realm? I would very m-much like to get to know you more, and mayhap our adventuring friend too. (The fairy boy looks up to you.) (Sinful Hamlet does as well.) (You look to both and smile, nodding.) Oh and, before I forget, I should probably give you some sort of reward for helping me... u-uhm... socialize.
- (In but a moment, the fairy puts out his hands, and soon, gil appears out of seemingly thin air. You look it over strangely, and notice it is pretty much a perfect representation / imitation of the currency. Both you and Sinful hamlet are shocked at this development and look toward the fairy boy in awe.)
- Fairy Boy: Uhm... is... something the matter...?
- Sinful Hamlet: Twelve forefend...
- ---- Gil Awarded
