My thoughts and experience at californithon

Experience:

Thursday: came at like 7 and just looked around watched jeff do things pretty much did nothing and I saw znubz!!!! He was really chill and he let me stay at his place so that was so nice of him and I am still grateful i didnt sleep on the streets.

Friday: the event actually started; i was pretty excited to watch some runs, I personally enjoyed the jet set radio and smb 3 run cause I never seen them before, met THE zorlax so that was cool and we ate burgers. Tetsuba was also really cool. Saw a bit of smash too. AND I MET SHASTA. He was kawaii af. Really good first day.

Saturday: Did a practice run in the morning and got a 1:28, so that was good, my friend sam came to visit the marathon and we had a pretty great time just hanging out. We went to go eat with some buddies of mine, aj and both hams and we ate some sandwiches, me tuna and sam a chicken club thing, but she didnt like it cause of the mayo lmao. We went back and the place was super loud and we just watched smash then we played some sonic adventure 2 for a while and that was lots of fun besides the controller we used. Then we just chilled and me and shasta watched the finals of the tournament and nairo won. Then people left and it was pretty quiet. Me and sam just watched streams and talked till like 2 in the morning cause we were both pretty tired i guess.

Sunday: it was the day of my run so i practiced. I ate a donut and commentated with znubz and it was pretty good. Then my run went pretty ok nothing went terrible until trials skip and my family was actually watching :> and apparently lots of support from people in chat too so ty. Went to say goodbye BibleThump and went home to easter and it was fun had a nice party.

Overall californithon was super good, good job for the first event plus its a western event so bless it and lots of people still came too! If its around the same area yearly Ill definitely attend as much as I can it was such a nice experience

Speedplans are prob some sonic cause speed and maybe albw if it gets accepted to sgdq so yeah
