This entire story reads as if the person who wrote it put it through a poor language translator into English. Sadly, I don’t think she did. It’s set in a contemporary AU dystopia. The USA is at war with a shadowy, yet totally open group called the Tang. We never find out why, or where these Tang come from, what their motivation is, or what they’re trying to win. There appears to be no President, Senate or House of Representatives in the militarised USA and, indeed precious little in the way of Human rights, torture being commonplace.

The title has almost no relevance to the story, but slinks away in shame outdone, as the summary has little or no relevance to reality, or comprehension.

Kevin (Richardson), a Captain in the army and one of those special ops types Like James Bond, Kevin is a national hero, known by all, making his covert activities next to useless. Kevin seems to still live with his mother. I’m not saying anything, I’m just saying... you know. Somehow, for me, that would kill the mystique with James Bond.

Brian (Littrell) is Kevin’s Sergeant. He allows himself, through jealousy, to be tricked into giving the Tang the password to the computer system that defends all the US. And when I say, ’tricked’, the Tang pretty much ask him and he gives it to them. Howie (Dorough) is a computer genius and Co-General. How two Generals can work in one unit I have no idea, I guess a clear chain of command just isn’t needed.

AJ (McClean) is also Kevin’s Sergeant though we don’t actually get told this until nearly the end of the story. Nick (Carter) is the son of ‘ex-General Mr. Carter’, and the ex-General and General Wright are all for dumping Brian out of his job and giving it to Nick. Nick (Carter) isn’t even in the army. He hasn’t a day’s training. But apparently he can take over as Sergeant to Kevin and work on the Top Secret computer system that the whole US defence apparently depends upon. Security protocols for those of you who though lax was an airport in California.

So right away this whole story could have been written with original characters without changing a thing. The only things that remain of the 1990’s boy band are the names, the physical descriptions and the fact that Brian is Kevin’s cousin.

Throughout the story the US military and the Tang/Tangs, (it changes from paragraph to paragraph), vie with each other for supreme incompetence. Known enemy operatives can apparently waltz in and out of the US, even into military bases. The US Army are happy for people convicted of treason to present themselves to prison. How very Paris Hilton. The Tang/s’ great plan is to destroy a ‘watchtower’ which will destroy New York. They are to use a Hydro-bomb, which sounds like a water filled balloon. Shall we take a peak at the shear awfulness of this fiction?

Summary: In a dangerous mission they had together, they were trapped in a very dangerous friendship and they were trapped by the gin that they created by their own. Could they handle it or else?

Chapter 1

WOULD THIS BE POSSIBLE?

(In a cold windy day)

Kevin fastens his belt tightly to make sure it won't go away from his wrist. He's going to do a skydiving to reach his enemy's base. It might be very dangerous but he needs to do it.

"Captain, I'm ready," said one of his parties.

Kevin nods. He takes his goggles and wears it tightly.

"We've reached the location. Ready to jump," said the pilot.

The back door of the helicopter automatically opened. Kevin and his parties stand at the edge of the door and get ready to jump. One by one his parties jump down through the rough air. Soon, it's Kevin's turn. He was about to jump when suddenly the emergency alarm ring.

"Captain! Our base command not to go! The Tangs known all of our plans!" shout the pilot.

"But I can't! All of my friends have gone," Kevin ignores.

"They said doesn't matter for the others! But they command you not to go!" shout the pilot again.

"I can't! I can't let them all alone! Tell the base I'm sorry!" Kevin quickly jumps down.

"Captain!" the pilot shock to see Kevin already gone.

Kevin and his parties land safely on the ground but not for long. After a few second the reach the ground, a shot goes straight to one of them. Kevin quickly commands them to hide.

The Army Base…

"Idiots!" General Wright slap the table hardly, "I told them not to go especially that stupid Kevin!"

"It doesn't matter, General. Everything's goes fine," AJ still searching some data about their enemy. His finger fast playing the keyboard. He does feel quite worried about Kevin but he know it won't help Kevin no matter how worried he is.

"General, I found them!" Howie call the general. General Wright quickly runs to Howie's computer system to watch.

"Only eight of them! The other five had dead!" said Howie pointing to the radar.

"What about Kevin?" ask General Wright.

"The radar didn't show any sense of it. Perhaps he'd died too," Howie try to search for Kevin using his computer system.

"This can't be! Kevin can't die yet. He's one of the best captains in this army!" said General Wright.

"The computer system is having a strange virus. It can't sense any of our army!" Howie said.

"Use the anti virus floppy," command General Wright.

"No, we can't," Howie ignore, "This isn't the usual virus. The Tangs probably had program all of it through our computer system,"

"How do they know our password?" ask General Wright.

"I don't know," Howie answers.

"Damage! Those Tangs had everything in their control!" General Wright knocks the table hardly.

"We just need to hope and wait," said AJ.

"I hate waiting," General Wright try to calm himself.

Howie didn't answer anything. For this situation, he knows nothing could help Kevin except himself. By the way, I believe in Kevin, thought Howie.

Kevin soon captured Fenbern, the leader of the Tangs. However, he can't capture the other Tangs. They know Kevin had try his best to captured Fenbern and protect his parties in the same time. General Wright had ordered Howie to get the computer system back to work. So, Howie started it since Kevin back.

General Wright planned a very big feast to celebrate Kevin's achievement. He asked Kevin's friend, Brian to perform a little concert that day. He could ask any singer to have a duet with him if he wanted. Brian agreed and all of the schemes had been arranged. Kevin is their special guest. So, he must attend the feast.

Kevin agrees to attend the feast. However, he comes quite late. When he arrived at the hall, Brian is performing a song to the busy audience. Brian saw Kevin when he arrived. Kevin smiled to him. Brian smiles back.

Kevin stands at his place enjoying himself watching the crowds dancing all over the hall. Suddenly Kevin spotted a boy with his parents walking through the hall. He looks smart and tidy. Kevin is still looking at the boy. He know that boy must be come from a very rich family.

Kevin saw General Wright talking to the boy's parents. Kevin turns his head back to Brian. Sometimes he thought for what he's staring at a stranger.

"Kevin!" General Wright calls for Kevin.

"Yes, sir," Kevin quickly approach his general.

"Please met a very talent ex-general, Mr. Carter," General Wright points to the boy's father.

"Nice to meet you, sir," Kevin bow.

"Mr. Carter, please meet my best captain, Kevin," General Wright turns to the boy, "And, this is Mr. Carter's first son, Nick. He would probably be an army,"

"No, he's going to be a great journalist," Mrs. Carter said still controlling herself to be a polite social behavior.

"I guess he would prefer to be an army," Mr. Carter said pretending like Mrs. Carter.

"Hi, Nick. Pleased to meet you," Kevin smiles to him. Nick just nods a little bit controlling not to spoil his coat.

"Captain Kevin, why don't you think about my son to be in your party?" Mr. Carter turns to Kevin.

"But…" Kevin tries to ignore.

"Mr. Carter, if you want, your son could be a captain," General Wright interrupts.

"You know that's not my style, general," Mr. Carter smiles at him.

"Kevin, take Nick for a walk," General Wright orders.

"Yes, sir. Welcome, Nick," Kevin welcomed him sweetly. Nick walked over following the captain.

Chapter 2

KEVIN RESTARTS THE MATCH

(Tomorrow)

Kevin opens his cupboard searching for his clothes. He chooses a jacket with long pants for that day. Then, he attains his watch. He combs his hair and get ready to go out.

"Come for breakfast, Kevin," said Mrs. Richardson.

"Sorry, mom. I'm late," Kevin apologizes.

"Isn't this your holiday?" ask Mrs. Richardson.

"I know. But Howie ask me to give a feature with his computer system," said Kevin, rushed.

" But that's his work," said Mrs. Richardson.

"He's my friend, ma. I need to help him, okay?" Kevin walks out of the house. In that moment, Brian walks in and he got quite a surprise to see Kevin run to his car.

"What's happening with him?" asks Brian.

"He need to give a feature about the damaged computer system," Mrs. Richardson answers shortly, "Brian, would you like to have any breakfast?"

"Okay, mom," Brian agrees.

(That evening)

"Kevin, your mom asked you to go back early today," Brian said as he walks into Kevin's office.

"Okay," Kevin nods.

"How's the computer system?" ask Brian.

"It's okay now. We're waiting for the answer for the new password. The Tangs seems had known our old password," Kevin answers.

"What's happening to you? You look worried," Brian sat on the chair in front the table.

"Brian, if I said something to you, would you mind?" Kevin gives a long breath.

"What?"

"Remember General Wright and Howie representing you as my sergeant?" Kevin starts.

"Yeah,"

"General Wright ask me to fetch a think about a boy named Nick to replace you," said Kevin.

"What?!! But you said…"

"I really hope you don't mind, Brian. You're like my brother, I really, really hope you understand. I mean…" Kevin tries to explain.

"Kevin," Brian interrupts, "Stop explaining to me. It doesn't matter,"

"Thanks," Kevin smiles.

Suddenly the phone rings on. Kevin answers the phone call. Brian didn't know what's the conversation is, but he heard Kevin mentioning 'Mr. Carter'. Perhaps that ex-general phoned him.

"Brian, I'm really, really sorry coz I need to go. Have fun, okay. I probably will be back late. Tell my mom I'm sorry," Kevin walks out. Brian didn't say anything.

"I hate this," Brian snorts.

(Later…)

Kevin knocks on a door of a big house. He retied his coat while waiting for the door to open. After a short while, Mrs. Carter opens the door. "Umm, ma'am, may I meet ex-General Mr. Carter?" Kevin try to act as decent as possible.

"You're the captain that night, right? Come in," said Mrs. Carter.

Kevin walks in. He find that house is really big and tidy. Mrs. Carter let him sat on the sofa. Kevin knows that set of sofa would be very expensive. Just look at the art. It's hard to find one like that.

"Mr. Carter isn't here. Would you prefer to wait or stuff like that?" asks Mrs. Carter.

"Maybe I should wait. Umm, ma'am, is Nick available? May I meet him?" said Kevin.

"What do you think about him?" ask Mrs. Carter.

"He's gorgeous. Probably if he tried hard, he could be very excellent in the army.

He's quite a tough man. I'm sure he could fight really well for our country," said Kevin.

"He won't be an army," said Mrs. Carter.

"What? What do you mean?"

"He's going to be a journalist. His brain is really good, you know. We'll send him to Switzerland for his journalist satisfaction," she said again.

"Umm, oh… okay," Kevin grin.

"So, lamb. My husband probably now is in his lab. You may search for him there," said Mrs. Carter.

"Lamb?" Kevin's eyes widened, "Oh… okay, thanks, ma'am,"

Kevin walks out grinning himself about what Mrs. Carter had called him. He quickly reaches the lab and knocks it. He could hear someone allowing him to come in.

"Oh, hi, Richardson," Mr. Carter greet him.

"Hi, Mr. Carter. Just call me Kevin if you don't mind," said Kevin.

"Oh sure. So, how's General Wright?" Mr. Carter sweeps his dirty hand with his handkerchief.

"He's totally alright. So are Howie and AJ," Kevin answers.

"I heard from General Wright that you could challenge Fenbern," Mr. Carter starts his conversation.

"Not really. That's just a fate," Kevin said politely.

"Don't try to protect yourself from the wind, captain. I'd been a captain before being a general. I start from above. That's why I don't want my son gets the captain form easily. If it's my place, I start since I'm a water carrier. But I let my son feel easy by letting him be your sergeant," said Mr. Carter.

Kevin grinned while keep on listening what that man want to say. Sometimes, he feels guilty to Brian. He shouldn't let the job out of Brian's hand.

They'd representing politely for him and now they are like trying to fire him.

"Anyway, captain, I know you would always be able to protect this country. Keep on your good job, sir," Mr. Carter said.

"Yes, sir," Kevin smiles sweetly.

"Bye then, chicken. Remember all my words," Mr. Carter shake Kevin's hand.

"Chicken?" Kevin's eyes widened once again.

(Tomorrow that day)

Nick laughs out loud when Kevin finished telling his story about his visit to Nick's house.

"What are you laughing about? Your mom calls me lamb, and your dad calls me chicken. I don't even know which one is me," Kevin protests.

"That's nothing, Kev. My mom really hates army while my dad is really fanatic about army," Nick said.

"Hmm, that's weird. How could they live together?" ask Kevin.

"They changed their mind after marriage. That's why," Nick explains.

"Oh, so, your mom hates army, your dad loves army. What do you think?"

Kevin stares at Nick.

"Me?"

"Yeah,"

"Hmm, I haven't known an army before. Would you mind to introduce one of them to me?" Nick smiles sweetly to Kevin.

"It's my pleasure," Kevin smiles back.

(That night)

Kevin opens the door and walk in. The clock struck twelve. It's very late now. Kevin could feel he's sleepy. He quickly takes off his jacket and throws it on the sofa. He then runs upstairs to have his sleep.

"Kev," Kevin turns. He saw Brian standing at the kitchen's door.

"Where'd you go? It's really late now," said Brian.

"I went for a huge walk with Nick just now. I'll tell more tomorrow, okay Brian? I'm really, really tired now," Kevin quickly run to his bedroom.

"Nick," Brian said slowly, "The boy is going to take my job and my best friend away from me,"

Chapter 3

FEELINGS COULD COME ACROSS OUR CLEVERNESS

(The next morning)

"Kev, please be quick. I'm late," Brian said in a rush.

"Where are you going?" ask Kevin.

"I need to go to the club. Have you forgot it? And you're going to follow me," said Brian.

"Oh my god, I forgot it," Kevin slaps his head, "Brian, Brian, I'm really, really sorry. I can't go. I need to follow Nick for his photography ceremony. I'm really, really sorry, Brian. Okay? You understand it, right?"

Kevin fetches his coat and went out. Brian stops from packing his tools. He looks at Kevin who is now driving his car away drearily.

"Don't worry, Brian. He just need to do some work," Mrs. Richardson try to calm Brian down.

Brian didn't answer anything. Slowly he gets back to his packing.

(That Evening)

"I don't know what are you thinking, Kevin! But damn that sucks, you are taking my work and you away from me!" Brian shouts at Kevin.

"Brian!!" Kevin slaps Brian's cheek. Brian kinda shock to feel that.

"What's happening to you?" ask Kevin with a cool voice, "You're too much different than the one I known before. Nick is just trying to get well with his work. Please understand, Bri. Don't annoy me. Please,"

Brian didn't say anything with his hand placed on his cheek. Kevin looked a him with a soft look.

"Nick is not going to take me from you. He's just going to be friends of mine," Kevin try to persuade him.

Brian ran out quickly from Kevin's house.

"Brian!! Brian, wait!!" Kevin shouts, "Don't go!! I'll explain it to you!!"

Brian ran faster. He doesn't want to know anything. A friend of Kevin? Until Kevin don't even have a time with himself? Time has changed since that Nick came in Kevin's life. Kevin didn't be with him anymore, Brian close his eyes.

"Oh my god, what have I done? I annoyed my own best friend," Brian snorted, "What should I do? Why am I so jealous for Nick?"

"Because he took over your best friend," a stranger interrupts him. Brian looks at the stranger.

"But why can't Kevin make more friends?" said Brian.

"But he disregard you. He just can't appreciate the friendship you'd given," said the stranger. Brian thinks for a while.

"What should I do?" ask Brian.

"Easy. To show Kevin how much your friendship is, you just need to give me something and then Kevin would always appreciate you," said the stranger.

"How?"

"Tomorrow, Kevin would receive a letter from his 'friend'. In that letter, there's a code in there. You just need to tell me that code and you can said it'll all solve up," said the stranger.

"What kind of code is that?" ask Brian.

"It's just a personal mail code," the stranger answers.

"What do you want to do with it?" Brian confused.

"I'll send a notice pretend as his general telling him to reset Nick's opinion. It'll be fine after that," said the stranger.

"Nothing else?" Brian feels something strange, "Nothing would happen to Kevin, right? He won't be fired or stuff like that?"

"Trust me," said the stranger.

"Okay if you say so. Deal. I'll give it to you tomorrow," Brian agrees.

(Tomorrow that day)

Kevin was doing his work when he heard his office door was knocked. He shouts for the visitor to come in. It was Brian. Kevin looks at him and asks him to have his seat. Kevin actually quite shocks that Brian come to visit him. Kevin stops his work and sits closer to Brian.

"What do you want for drink?" Kevin tries to treat him as good as possible.

He doesn't want Brian to feel anything again.

"No, Kevin. I don't want anything. I just… want to talk to you," Brian said.

"What?"

"I'm sorry. I'm really, really sorry for yesterday. I mean… I can't control myself. I just can't believe I annoyed you. I'm too jealous that I try to push you into troubles. I'm sorry, Kevin. I'm sorry. I don't know how should I do to tell you I'm sorry," Brian pretend hardly to cry in front Kevin. Lie tears comes over his face.

"You don't need to do anything, Brian. I'm very happy to hear you say that. It's the most precious gift I'd receive in my life," Kevin smiles sweetly to him, "Come on, let me make a cup of coffee for you,"

"Okay," Brian nods. Kevin went out.

Brian quickly sweeps his tears and starts to search for the envelope. He remembers the stranger said the envelope should be in the Meditate File.

Brian looks at the files on the table and tries to search for it quickly before Kevin got in. Soon, he found the file. He pulls it out and opens it. In that file, the envelope was placed on the top. It's easy to find. Brian takes the envelope and opens it. A few numbers was written on the folder of the envelope. DA 206 M 5068. That's the number. Brian tries to remember it. Then he closes it backs carefully and sits back on his seat. However, he feels strange. That code sounds weird. It seems a very important code. Not like a personal mail code. Brian thought for a while. May be that stranger was hiding something from him. Maybe that stranger is Kevin's enemy. So, he tries to get the code.

"May be I shouldn't give it to that stranger," Brian decides.

Kevin comes in, "Sorry, a little bit late,"

"It's okay," Brian take the coffee from Kevin's hand.

Brian walks out from the Army Base. He walks towards the telephone booth.

Suddenly, the phone rang. Brian answers the call. It was the stranger.

"Got the code?" ask the stranger. Brian kept silence for a while thinking what should he answer.

"No," said Brian.

"Are you sure?" ask the stranger, "You don't find it?"

It the mean time, a car stopped by the Army Base and Brian saw Nick came out from the car walking in towards Kevin's room. He tries to calm himself but he knows he can't.

"I found it," Brian said.

"Really? What's the code?"

"DA 206 M 5068," Brian answers slowly.

"Again?"

"DA 206 M…" Brian repeats.

"M?" the stranger asks to go on.

Brian kept quite for a while. Am I doing right? Brian thought. Suddenly he saw Kevin and Nick get into Nick's big car and went off. He knows he can't stand with that situation.

"M 5068," Brian continues.

"Got it," said the stranger, "We won't meet again after this. Keep the secret in your mind,"

Brian quickly nods, "Yeah, sure,"

 Chapter 4

THE CONFLICT SEEMS TO BE COMPLICATED

“Got it?” ask Tiger, one of the Tangs.

“Got it,” Mulligan, the stranger that met Brian answered.

“What’s the code?” ask Tiger.

“Come on, gather up,” Mulligan sat on the chair in front of the computer as
the other Tangs gathered around him.

Mulligan log in the program. On the screen, it was written: PASSWORD
ACCOMPLISHED. READY TO SIGN IN.

“Perfect,” Tiger smirks, “Mulligan, you’re a computer genius,”

“It’s not enough. They could recognize us if they log in too. I’ll clear up
the sense,” Mulligan types something, “Before that, let’s see the secret
meditate,”

The Tangs saw all of the schemes of the armies. However, they only search
for Fenbern’s news. The armies are going to take Fenbern to the Central Jail
three days after by using a road that is rarely used. Fenbern and the armies
will reach a snowy place at about 11 a.m. Hills and trees covered the road.
A very perfect place to hide.

“Okay, you guys know the plan. We’ll hide behind the hills and trees, and
when I give the sign, just shoot out the guns. Got it?” Lysander, the most
wise man in the Tangs required his plan.

“Got it,”


(Nick’s house)

“Ma’am, is Nick in?” ask Kevin.

“Yeah, however, you’ll be shock to hear that he’s going to Switzerland,” Mrs
Carter said proudly.

“For what?” Kevin try to smile.

“He had a journal lesson. He’ll become a journalist,” Mrs Carter answered.

“Kev! I’ve been waiting for you! Come, follow me,” Nick quickly pulls
Kevin’s hand, afraid if his mom said something more further to Kevin.

“Wait, Nick. Is it true you’re going to Switzerland?” Kevin asks.

“Yeah, why?”

“So it’s true?” Kevin can’t believe it, “What about your sergeant lesson?”

“Come on, Kev, we won’t get this chance for the second time. You know that
too,”

“But…”

“Come on, Kev. This is the only chance. I’m really excited,” Nick grinned.

“Nick!!” suddenly they heard a voice shouting.

“What’s that?” ask Kevin.

“My mom,” Nick give him a naughty smile.

“Nick!! Why do you sent a letter to Switzerland saying you’re not going?!!”
shout Mrs Carter. Kevin and Nick laugh looking at Mrs Carter acting like a
mad woman.

“Why don’t you tell me you’re not going?” Kevin said trying his best not to
laugh.

“Come on, how come I’m leaving my own country,” Nick stops laughing,
“Further more, I think I made a decision. I think an army is not that bad,”


(Three days later, when Fenbern’s transferring away)

Three jeeps are moving through the snow roads carefully. The middle jeep
contained Fenbern who is now handcuffed and can’t move. Actually, his strong
body could easily move but he doesn’t want to try something fool. He knows
there’re three jeeps around him and he’s alone. He can’t win in that
situation.

When they reached the middle of the snowy place, the jeeps had been
attacked. This time, Fenbern sure he could win. He kicks the army who is
sitting next to him. All the jeeps were stopped. Fenbern kicks the door and
ran out. He raises his hands into the air, and a shot goes straight to his
handcuff. Quickly he ran and joins his parties killing all the armies there.

 Chapter 5

DISCOVERED

“WHAT?!!” Howie was shocked to hear about Fenbern.

“I’m sorry, co-general. Please inform General Wright and Captain Kevin about
it,” said the voice on the phone line. Howie put down the phone.

“What’s up, my dear Howie?” ask General Wright. Howie slowly stare his
general.

“General, Fenbern escaped,” Howie said. General Wright dropped his cup.

“WHAT?!! How could that happen?!” ask General Wright. Howie calmly told
General Wright all about what he heard. From A to Z.

“DAMAGED!! We’re in trouble now. We didn’t even know what will Fenbern do.
We could do nothing!” General Wright slaps his table. This time is harder
than before. Howie kept silence. He’s worry but he knew he could do nothing.

“Oh no, what about Kevin?” General Wright suddenly realized, “This would
blow his top if he know this. He’d tried very hard just to keep Fenbern in
jail. NOW WHAT HAPPEN?!!”

“Don’t worry about him, general. I’ll explain it to him,”

“AAAAH!! He’ll get really mad with this!” General Wright screams.

“I guess you’re much more mad than him,” Howie smiled sweetly.

“What?”

“I said, the news blowing your top more than Kevin’s,” Howie repeats louder.

“Oh, Howie, if only you’re a captain, I could easily scold you. I shouldn’t
have take you as my co-general before,” General Wright snorts. Howie smiles.

“Don’t worry about Kevin and AJ. Both of them would always be fine,” Howie
said walking towards the door of General Wright’s office.

“Okay,” that’s General Wright’s last answer. But he didn’t seems to be
cheerful as usual. Howie just smiles as he get into his car.


(AJ’s house)

Howie parked his car in the garden. He took his Meditate File and walk into
the house. In the file contained a piece of paper that written something
really important.

“AJ, are you in?” Howie asked.

“I’m up here. Come on, Kev’s here too,” AJ shouts from upstairs.

“Okay, then,” Howie quickly ran upstairs.

“So, what’s up? You seems in a very big rush,” Kevin said grinning.

“Something terrible had happen, guys. General Wright get really mad this
morning. You know who would be the victim if he get mad, aren’t you. If
you’re not, then I’ll tell you. It’s me,” Howie said joking. Kevin and AJ
laugh.

“Come on, just tell us what happen,” AJ gives Howie a friendly tap.

“Is Brian in?” ask Howie.

“Nope,”

“Perfect! Don’t you ever tell him. Umm, and Nick. This one is the private
army case,” Howie said in a whispered voice.

“What do you mean?”

“You’ll inform yourself after you read this,” Howie took out a paper from
his file.

“What’s that?” Kevin asks.

“Tangs Documents. If you know how to read, it was written on the top of the
page,” said Howie.

AJ and Kevin smile but not for long. When AJ and Kevin glance at the paper,
their eyes widened. The whole story had been written right on the paper.
Kevin suddenly run out fetching his car keys and drove off.

“Kevin, come back!!” AJ quickly get into his own car following Kevin.

“HEI!! AJ! Kevin! Don’t go! Damn, those stupid guys…” Howie mumbles.


(Back to the base)

“How could this happen, Kevin?!! This isn’t the thing that should be happen!
You can be fired or something!!” General Wright gazed at AJ and Kevin who
are standing in front of his table.

“I’m sorry, sir. But honestly I don’t know how this could be happen. I mean…
I try to plan things to be alright. I don’t know all of this would be
happen,” Kevin explains.

Howie is standing at the corner of the office watching at his friends. He
had no idea how to safe Kevin from this peak situation.

“You know how dangerous Fanbern is!! You should’ve plan it correctly!! This
is American problem, Kevin!! Not you!!” General Wright continues.

“But, sir, I really don’t know how the Tangs discovered our plan. I haven’t
told anyone about the plan yet,” Kevin protests.

“Then how could they discover?” General Wright stares at Kevin. Kevin said
nothing knowing what General Wright had said is true. Howie is laying his
body against the wall. He groans knowing he should safe Kevin from being
fired.

“General, would you mind if I go and check something with Kevin?” Howie ask
for permission.

“What do you wanna do?” General Wright asked with a cool voice.

“I know what to do. Believe me,” Howie smiles.

“Okay, but don’t forget to inform me if you found anything,” the general
nods.

“You bet I will, general,” Howie walks out followed by AJ and Kevin.


(Later…)

“How do you wanna check about it?” Kevin ask wondering what Howie wanna do.

“I don’t know the password for our Meditate Programs Computer System, but
I’m sure you do,” Howie said placing his arms on the table.

“Yeah,”

“I guess if you don’t tell anyone about the plan, then they might discovered
it by themselves,” Howie continued.

“But how?”

“The computer system of course,” Howie explains, “Perhaps they’d transfer
into the programs and get the plans,”

“But the code has just changed up and no one knows about it,” Kevin decline.

“Who knows. Wanna go and check it out?” Howie suggest.

“Why not,”

“Follow me,” Howie get up and walk away followed by Kevin.


Both of them reach the Computer Basement of their base. Howie sat on the
chair in front of the computer that had already on. Howie link the computer
to the Backstreet Army.

“Type the password,” Howie land the keyboard to Kevin. Kevin does as he was
told. Then, he lend the keyboard back to Howie. Howie then type something
strange that Kevin cant even understand a thing. Suddenly, they saw some
green lines on the computer.

“What’s that?” Kevin ask.

“Computer Sense. It could count how many times we’d logged in the program,”
Howie explains, “Have anybody log in the program before?”

“No one. The main base told us not to log in,” Kevin answered.

“So, it haven’t been logged in. This is the first time,” Howie type
something that makes the green lines start to move slowly.

“Got anything?”

“No, not yet. Seems like there’s no one had ever logged in here,” Howie
tries again.

“So, it mustn’t be the computer problems. But… if it wasn’t, then how could
the Tangs know our plan? It’s really confusing,” Kevin groans.

“Wait!” Howie suddenly recognized something, “Look, someone had reset the
locks,”

“How could you be so sure?”

“The edge of the green lines were round in shapes. See, it is a sign that
someone had reset the lock. But terribly they forget to reset the lines,”
Howie points to the computer.

“What does that mean?”

“It means, someone do had logged in the program but they ‘wash’ all of the
sense unless the green lines. I’m not sure whether they forgot or they were
actually didn’t know about the green lines,” Howie explains, “Do you got
it?”

“Oh god! This is terrible,” Kevin’s eyes widened, “Howie, you’re a computer
genius,”

“What should we do?” Howie stares at Kevin.

“I don’t know,” Kevin shook his head slowly.

 Chapter 6

HOWIE AS A CO-GENERAL

“You should be shame for having that kinda problem in your job,” said
General Wright.

“He really don’t know who’d took the code, sir,” AJ try to safe Kevin.

“Don’t interrupt, AJ! Or you will be punished,” said General Wright.

“Doesn’t matter, AJ. I could handle it by myself,” said Kevin. AJ snorts.

“You didn’t gave the code to anyone? So someone must had took the code,”
said Howie.

“May be you’re right, Howie,” said General Wright.

“But the question is who?” said Howie. General Wright takes out a piece of
paper. It was a list of who’s coming into Kevin’s office.

“To check this out, you need to answer me. Do you suspect anyone?” General
Wright glance at the paper, “Captain Mark,”

“But, sir,” Kevin try to protest.

“Kevin, just answer it. If you don’t, you would probably be a betrayal,”
Howie said strictly.

“I’m not a betrayal! I mean… I’d took my life in danger to safe this country
and now the country wants to annoy me itself? This is really legally…” Kevin
turns to Howie.

“Kevin,” General Wright interrupts, “Captain Mark,”

Kevin glances at Howie. Howie didn’t say a word. He looks strict that day.
Kevin snorts.

“Captain Mark just wants to sign some documents,” Kevin knows he can't
decline.

“Brian,” General Wright keeps on.

“What… what do you mean, Brian is just like my brother. He won't do that
thing. He won't annoy me, sir. You…” Kevin protests.

“Kevin,” Howie quickly interrupts.

Kevin turns to Howie.

“The general is asking you one short simple question. Just answer it,” Howie
said strictly.

Kevin stares at Howie. He can't believe that Howie could say that. He
thought his co-general would help him to protest himself but Howie seems to
be in General Wright’s side. Kevin takes a long breath and walk out. General
Wright turns to Howie.

“It doesn’t matter, general. It will be all fine,” Howie said.

AJ looks at Howie. He can't believe Howie could take easy of Kevin’s
feelings. AJ understand how Kevin feels just now. Being reject by our own
best friend. How could Howie ever do that? AJ quickly ran to get Kevin.
Howie snorts. He knows how’s they feels but that’s a law. He can't do
anything further more he’s a co-general. He needs to be fair.

“What should we do now, general?” ask Howie.

“I know what should we do if we want to be aware of our country’s safety,”
said the general.

“What?”

 Chapter 7

KEVIN BEING INTERROGATED


Kevin and AJ are sitting at the balcony of Kevin’s house together to comfort
themselves. They try to forget all that happens at the office. They don’t
want to remember Howie’s face that time. A strict look and scary friendship
was written on his face. They hate that face. It’s too much differ than
Howie that they known.

Suddenly, four army jeeps drove in Kevin’s garden and parked just in front
of his house. Kevin and AJ quickly ran out to see what’s happening. Howie
and some armies come out from the jeep.

“Captain Kevin, you’re under arrested by the base to be interrogate,” Howie
said as the armies walk towards Kevin and tied a handcuff through Kevin’s
hands.

Kevin and AJ were shocked. They can't believe Howie would done this to them.
How could Howie come and arrest Kevin by himself? Kevin and AJ stare at
Howie. Howie look at them strictly. Kevin and AJ know that this Howie is not
come as their best friend, but he comes as a co-general.

AJ could just stares at those four jeeps bring on Kevin along with Howie go
to the base. Howie didn’t talk anything even explaining a word. AJ really
can't believe this. Mrs. Richardson cries out when she saw the jeeps go on
bringing her devoted son. AJ can't calm her coz he can't even calm himself.

 Chapter 8

FURTHER INTERROGATION

(Brian’s house)

“He’ll come back home this night, right?” ask Brian.

“Who? Kevin?” ask AJ. Brian nods. However, AJ shook his head. Brian’s eyes
widened.

“Hey, hey, AJ. He will be alright, right? Nothing serious would be happen,
right,” Brian felt a little bit scared. AJ smile.

“Who knows?” AJ answers, “Wait until the decision comes out,”

“Someone told me he won't be serious,” Brian tries to make sure.

“May be. But it won't be too sure,” AJ said. He feels really tired that day.
He didn’t know why though.


(At the base)

“TELL US DID YOU MET THE TANGS BEFORE?!” ask Captain Wahlberg.

“No!” Kevin who was tied at the wall answers.

Captain Wahlberg once again beat Kevin by the scourge. So Kevin once again
screams. Howie close his eyes and turns his head away. He doesn’t want to
look Kevin suffering. He really loves Kevin like his brother but in this
situation, he can't help Kevin even a little bit.

“TELL US DID YOU GAVE THE TANGS OUR PASSWORD?!!” Captain Wahlberg keeps on
asking.

“No!” Kevin answers.

Captain Wahlberg swings his scourge to Kevin’s body. Kevin screams as loud
as he can. Captain Wahlberg once again scourges Kevin even harder. Kevin
screams louder through Howie’s ears. Howie doesn’t know when but his cheeks
are now wet with his tears.

“I’m sorry, Kevin. I’m sorry,” Howie whispered.

“TELL US DID YOU SEND THE LETTER TO ANYONE?!!” ask Captain Wahlberg.

“No!” Kevin answers.

For sure, once again Kevin be scourged. He screams.

“TELL US DID YOU SHOWED THE CODE TO ANYONE ELSE?!!” ask Captain Wahlberg.

“No!” Kevin said weakly.

Again he was scourged. Kevin can't stand anymore this time. He feels like
his skin been lacerate. It’s really hurt until Kevin can't screams anymore.
Howie quickly ran out from the Torture Chamber. He really can't watch that
scene. That’s the worst scene he’d ever seen before.


(Tomorrow that day)

Captain Wahlberg got a massage from the base to set Kevin free for a while
to make their search easier. Captain Wahlberg than take the order and
decides to free Kevin today. However, the news spread faster that all of the
people in New York City had gathered in front of the Torture Chamber just to
watch their hero being free that day. And one of them sure is Brian.
However, Brian just watch from far. He doesn’t want to watch his best friend
being tortured very clearly.

Kevin was set free at 10.00 am. Brian could see that pallor face walking
through the crowds with his hand was cuffed.

“Look at him, I thought he’s going to save our world. Seems like he was
actually planned to kill us,”

Brian could hear someone else talking about Kevin. Brian closed his eyes.
Please, don’t say that. Kevin is innocent. I am the one is about to kill
you, Brian screams in his heart. What should I do?

Kevin walks on towards the jeep that was parked in front the chamber.
Suddenly, he glanced at a man besides the road. He knows that man. He really
recognized him. He’s one of the Tangs, Mulligan. Mulligan smirks at him.

“What’s up, captain? How’d you feel being scorned by your own country?”
Mulligan said proudly.

Kevin’s eyes widened. This time he can't control himself as an army. He
jumps and attacks Mulligan without thinking anything. He kicks Mulligan out
and keep on attacking. Mulligan can't do anything. However, Captain Wahlberg
asks the other soldiers to keep Kevin back to his place.

Brian saw that scene. He recognized Mulligan. He quickly go and get Mulligan
after the scene over.

“What have you done?!” Brian ask seriously.

“What have I done? Why don’t you ask yourself?” Mulligan said.

“What is exactly the code is? You said Kevin won't be that serious. But now
he needs to be interrogate and mostly been tortured! You’d lie to me!” Brian
said.

“You are the fool one! If you really love him as your brother, you won't
steal anything from him! You will try your best just to make sure Kevin
would always believe in you! You are a fool, you know?! Everybody can fool
you!” Mulligan continued.

“How dare you! You would have a very big problem if I tell this to General
Wright!” Brian said.

“You can if you want. But remember, if you tell them, you will get yours
too,” Mulligan walks away leaving Brian alone.

Brian didn’t say anything thinking about that himself. He feels really
guilty this time. What should I do? What should I do? Brian screams as hard
as he could in his lonely heart. Quickly he rushes to his car and drove
home. He was locked into a very complicated problem.


(Main Base of the army)

Kevin was placed in a huge electric chamber full with wires. It was locked
with a huge glass to let it be a conductor for the electricity. Kevin could
hear a sound from the volume speaker.

“Captain Kevin, if you still didn’t tell us the truth, you will die in 48
hours later. Coz you’re now located in a vacuum room. So you better not to
lie if you really want to survive,”

Kevin spotted a general at the speaker volume. He knows that those wires
were placed there to torture some prisoners. He snorts. He doesn’t know what
to answer after this. He’d told the truth but they don’t want to believe
him.

“For the first question,” a voice comes from the speaker. It sounds softer
then Captain Wahlberg, “Did you ever showed the code to anyone? I mean not
even someone you trust?”

“Honestly no, sir,” Kevin answers.

“Are you sure?”

“Yes, sir,” Kevin nods a little bit.

“Second question, did you ever met Fenbern before he escaped?”

“Yes, sir,” Kevin try to tell the truth.

“For what?”

“To interrogate him, sir,” Kevin said.

“Did anybody come with you?”

“General Howie and Sergeant AJ is with me at the first. However they’d left
when I start to interrogate Fenbern, sir,” Kevin said.

Suddenly, currents came out from the wires and goes straight over Kevin’s
body. Kevin screams.

“Don’t you know, captain. That interrogating the criminal without anyone
besides us is a delinquency!”

Kevin try to be as patient as he can be. Slowly he nods.

“I know, sir,” Kevin said slowly.

“Then why don’t you move when General Howie and Sergeant AJ were out?”

“Fenbern is challenging me, sir,” Kevin said.

Once again the currents tortured Kevin. Kevin could feels more pain than the
one he’d felt at the Torture Chamber. This is an electric kinda torture. Too
much painer than being scourged.

“You know that an army should be patient and not to take the criminal’s
challenge!”

“I’m sorry, sir,” Kevin said slowly.

 Chapter 9

A PAIN OF SUFFERING

(Brian’s house)

Kevin walks slowly try to hide his pain. He was lucky coz General Wright let
him free for a while. Seems like General Wright wants to see how much truth
in Kevin’s statements. Kevin knocks the door. Not long after, Mr. Littrell
opens the door and saw Kevin standing in front of him.

“Kevin! What’s happening to you?! Come on, get in!” Mr. Littrell quickly
bring a chair for Kevin.

“What’s happening to you?” Mr. Littrell sat in front of Kevin, “Your body
full with harms,”

“Is Brian in?” ask Kevin.

“Yeah, wants me to call him up?” ask Mr. Littrell.

“No! Please don’t, dad. Please,” Kevin ignores, “I just want to see you,”

“Okay,” Mr. Littrell nods, “Now tell me what happen,”

“You know, I had no dad since I was 20. That you were my only dad I’d have
until now. Would you mind if I want to tell you about my suffer?” Kevin ask
the permission.

“Sure, Kevin. You’re like my son since Richardson dead,” Mr. Littrell said.

“I… I’d been tortured since Fenbern escaped. They thought I’d gave the
password to the Tangs. But you know I won't give it no matter what happen,”
Kevin starts.

“I believe in you, Kevin. I would always believe in you,” Mr. Littrell said,
“Everybody is talking about you now. But I know you won't give it. It must
be anything strange had happen,”

Brian who was actually sitting at the stairs was listening of the
conversation. He really wants to know what’s the actually had happen to
Kevin.

“I’d never thought that Howie would starts his general mission. They’d send
the currents and scourges on me. They’d done to me too much that they make
me just like an unlived doll. It’s hurt, dad. It’s really hurt,” Kevin’s
eyes start to cry.

Mr. Littrell look at the harms all over Kevin’s body. He feels really sorry
for his extended son. But he knows that he can't do anything.

“Why do they done this to me? How could they? I’d sacrifice my life for
them, is this what I’ve got?” tears come over Kevin’s cheeks.

“I understand, Kevin. I understand. Stop crying, okay. A guy doesn’t looks
nice when he’s crying. I’ll always be with you,” Mr. Littrell rubs Kevin’s
arm softly hoping not to hurt Kevin’s harms.

“The code makes Fenbern escaped and no one know what will happen next. I
don’t want to stay like this, dad. It’s really hurt. It’s too hurt,” Kevin
try his best not to cry.

Brian overturns his head over the wall hearing that. He really doesn’t know
that code is actually that serious. Quickly Brian gets up and walk down.

“Kevin, I don’t know you’re here,” Brian try to act as usual. Kevin quickly
rub his tears when he realize Brian’s available.

“Have you get your dinner?” ask Brian. Kevin shook his head.

“You must have your dinner or else you will get ill. Come on, go and wash
your hands,” Brian quickly serve the meals while trying his best not to cry.
Kevin nods.

“I feel great today. At last I could have some meals. They’d never fed me
this often before. They gave me a supper for two days,” Kevin said eating
the meal.

Brian feel worse. Quickly he walk upstairs and locked himself alone leaving
Kevin and Mr. Littrell who are having their dinner together. Brian sat
against the door closing his eyes. Blaming himself to be such a fool letting
the Tangs know about the code and the worst, he annoyed Kevin more than
before. And this is the worst thing he’d ever done in his whole life.


(Kevin’s house)

Kevin sat in his room try to let free all of his stress. He pick the phone
and dial some numbers. Suddenly, Mrs. Carter answers the call.

“Ma’am, may I talk with Nick, please,” said Kevin.

“Sorry, he’s not in,” said Mrs. Carter.

“Thanks then,” Kevin put down the phone. His body still feels hurt.


Tomorrow night however, Kevin had decided to meet Nick. He reach the house
and knocked the door. Mr. and Mrs. Carter who are sitting in the living room
didn’t move even though they heard the knock. Nick ran down and saw his
parents.

“Mom, the door was knocked,” said Nick.

“I know,” said Mrs. Carter. Nick snorts. He walk to the door.

“Don’t you dare open the door, Nick!” said Mr. Carter, “We know who’s
coming,”

“He wont step into this house,” Mrs. Carter continue.

Kevin still waiting outside. He decides to go when the door suddenly opened.
Nick stand right at the door. However, he didn’t open too wide that Kevin
can't even look inside.

“What’s happening, Kevin?” ask Nick try to hide his fears.

“Can I come in?” ask Kevin.

“No! I mean… I’m going out actually. I’m busy now, Kevin. What do you want?”
Nick quickly answers.

“I just want to have a talk to you,” said Kevin.

“I don’t have enough time, Kev. I’m sorry,” said Nick.

“Well, okay then. I’ll phone you next time,” Kevin was about to go.

“Let me, Kev!” Nick quickly interrupts, “Let me phone you,”

“Okay then,” Kevin walk away.

Nick close the door. He glance at his father besides him holding a gun
towards him. He says nothing. He’d done what his father had told. He really
don’t want to do that but his parents ask him not to devote to that betrayal
army again.

“I’m sorry, Kev. I’m sorry. I trust you but…” Nick whispered to himself.

 Chapter 10

YOU KNOW I’LL ALWAYS LOVE YOU

(Back to the Main Base of the army)

“Captain Kevin Richardson, the Army had totally take the verdict that the
fact of having committed an offence of yours will take yourself to be
fired,” said the announcer from the controller base, “And the punishment
will be announce tomorrow, located right here. Then, you will be send back
to General Wright’s base to be prison,”

Kevin said nothing to that announces. He knows this would be happen from the
first he was tortured. Suddenly, the glass of the vacuum room was opened and
he was taken out.

“I really don’t want to do this, Kevin. But I need to. By the order of the
generals,” Howie whispered at Kevin. Kevin didn’t answer anything.


(The Tangs’ Base)

“We will locate the hydro-bomb at the Watch Tower. I’ll send the Timer Wire
through the clock. We’ll set the time 10:31pm. When the clock struck after
the number six, it’ll explode and destroy this New York. Remember, after
10:15, all of us must get out of this city. I’ll reserve a helicopter for
any of us whom needs to dedicate the job at the watch. All of you must be at
the top of the tower before 10:15. Clear?” said Fenbern.

“Okay. Fine. Let me set the time,” said Lysander.

“I’ll take care about the helicopter,” said Ceria.

“Who’ll reserve the bomb?” ask Mulligan.

“I will. Don’t worry about it,” said Tiger.

“Okay, you reserve the helicopter. The others! You guys come with me!” said
Fenbern.

“Yes, sir!”


Mulligan went home when they finally finished the meeting. However, suddenly
Tiger and Lysander went to met Fenbern.

“Hey, Fenbern. I’d something to deal with you,” said Lysander.

“What?” ask Fenbern.

“What should we do about that Brian boy?” ask Lysander.

“Brian?”

“He’s the one who gave us the code,” said Tiger.

“Yeah. And Mulligan met him once again when Kevin was taken away to the Main
Base,” Lysander continued.

“What?!! Mulligan met him once again?!!” Fenbern was shocked.

“Yeah,”

“Tiger,” Fenbern turn to his brave worrier, “You know it’s dangerous for us.
Kill him. Both. Brian… and Mulligan,”

“Yes, sir,”


(Tomorrow that day)

The trumpets of the armies were played through the air what makes a sign
about Kevin’s ceremony to be fired. One of the best captain would be fired
this morning. Thousand of people come to watch the ceremony.

At the middle of the red field was Kevin wearing his army suit. At the right
side there stand the generals including Howie and General Wright. Far in
front of Kevin there stands Captain Wahlberg. He’ll take over the ceremony.
Once again the trumpets were played. Captain Wahlberg walk proudly towards
Kevin and stop when he reach just in front of Kevin. Kevin doesn’t say a
word. Captain Wahlberg take out his sword and placed it at the bottom of the
Shoulder Board. Then, Captain Wahlberg scratches the board away. He did the
same to the other side. One by one Kevin’s suit being torn. Soon the badge
of the bravest army was been take out. Kevin try his best not to cry.

Howie cannot stand it any further. He quickly ran to his office. He let
himself relax on the chair. He’d never expect this to be happen. Howie take
a long breath, trying to find some peace in his mind. Suddenly Brian entered
the office.

“Brian, why don’t you knock first?” said Howie.

“Howie, he’s innocent,” Brian decides to tell the truth.

“I know. He won't do that. I believe it too,” Howie snorts.

“This is different, Howie. I want to tell the truth today. I gave the code
to the Tangs,” said Brian.

“WHAT?!!”

“I gave the code to the Tangs, Howie. I annoyed Kevin and it’s all because
of me who wants to get back my rank. When I come to Kevin’s office, I search
for the code and then give it to the Tangs,” Brian soon admits it. Howie
stands up and glares at Brian.

“Howie, I…”

“SHUT UP!!” Howie shout on Brian, “DO YOU KNOW WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!! DO YOU
KNOW WHAT HAVE YOU TAKE?!! DO YOU KNOW WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO GET BACK YOUR
RANK?!!”

“I don’t know!!” Brian try his best not to cry, “I thought it’s just a
personal mail code. The man who ask me to search it said that too,”

“The man who ask you to search it?” Howie stares at Brian, “Who’s he?”

“The one whom Kevin attacked when he’d transferred to the Main Base,” said
Brian.

“Mulligan,” Howie recognized that man, “I’ll go get him,”

“I’d annoyed Kevin. I want to die. I don’t want to watch him suffering
anymore,” Brian said in tears. Howie turns to Brian.

“What? After you annoyed him you want to die just like that?! How dare
you!!” Howie become really mad.

“What should I do?!” Brian ask.

“Follow me!!” Howie fetch his gun and pull Brian’s hand.


The ceremony soon was over. Kevin will be send back to his base. But before
that, he’ll stay at the Main Base just for a couple of hours. Suddenly, a
soldier comes into Kevin’s chamber.

“Captain… I mean… Richardson, there’s a call for you,”

“Thanks,” Kevin stands up and walk to the telephone booth.

“Hello?”

“Hello, Kevin. Nick’s here,”

“Nick?”

“Yeah, Kev, I’ve something to tell you,”

“What?”

“I… umm… I’m going to Switzerland. To have my journal lesson,”

“Okay,”

“I’m sorry, Kev. I’m really, really sorry,”

“It’s okay,”

Kevin put down the phone.

 Chapter 11

REUNITED BUT THE TALE WAS TOLD

(Mulligan’s house)

Howie parked his jeep in front of the house. Quickly he and Brian ran into
the house. Mulligan was having his tea that time.

“Hands up!” Howie quickly take out his gun.

“What… what general? Anything I can help?” Mulligan quickly let his hands up
to the air.

“Tell me what’s your plans for letting Fenbern free. Tell me!!!” Howie ask
hardly.

“I’ll tell you! I’ll tell you! We’re going to explode this city up to
conquer this country. We start from New York at the Watch Tower three days
later when you’re having your ceremony of the victory on us. It’ll blows
when the clock struck 10:31. Using the hydro-bomb. Then, we’ll continue to
the other city,” Mulligan told all of it.

“What?!!” Brian and Howie shocked.

“Please don’t kill me,” Mulligan begs.

Suddenly, Tiger and his parties come and attack the house. Mulligan quickly
decides to run however Tiger shot his head and he’s dead. Tiger realize that
Brian and Howie are available there and they start their war. Howie try his
best to protect Brian. One of Tiger’s parties try to shoot Brian. Howie
quickly pull Brian by his side.

“Brian, quick! To the jeep!” Howie orders.

“What about you?” ask Brian.

“I’ll catch up later,” Howie said.

“No! I’ll be with you,” Brian replied.

“Sure?” Howie turn to Brian. Brian nods.

“Here! To protect you,” Howie gave a gun to Brian.

Brian takes it and joins Howie shooting the Tangs. Howie could count that
almost all of the Tangs are there except Fenbern, Ceria and Lysander. Howie
try his best to kill all of them. Almost half of the Tangs died. However,
suddenly Howie been shot by his chest.

“Howie!” Brian turns to Howie.
“Brian, forget about me! Kill them all, quick!!” Howie orders.

“Okay,” Brian nods as he get back to his ‘work’.


At about half an hour, Brian had killed almost all of them. It was leave
just at about five more Tiger’s parties.

“Brian, please. Quit now. Bring me to the jeep,” said Howie.

“Okay,” Brian nods as he carefully take Howie to the jeep.

“Drive back to the Main Base! Quick! Before Kevin go back to the base!”
Howie said weakly with his chest bleeding over.

“Okay,” Brian speed the jeep up to reach the Main Base.

Tiger and his five parties left quickly chase them both.

 Chapter 12

LOSING SOMEONE

(Back to the main base)

Kevin walks out from the Main Base, ready to be sending back to his base. He
hold his hand tightly with his handcuff. Suddenly, he saw Howie and Brian
drove towards him. And more worse, he saw Howie’s chest bleeding! He quickly
ran to reach the jeep.

“Brian! Howie! What’s happening with you guys?” ask Kevin.

“Kev, the Tangs is going to blow this city up three days later at 10:31am.
The bomb was located at the Watch Tower. Just don’t let the clock struck
more than the number six,” Howie try to tell Kevin even though he’s too weak
to speak, “Kev, this is my last order… stop… them…” Howie’s head falls on
Kevin’s shoulder.

“Howie, Howie don’t die! Please!” Brian shakes Howie’s body.

“Yes, sir,” Kevin salutes Howie greatfully.

Kevin put Howie down and covered Howie with his jacket. Suddenly, Tiger and
his five parties arrived. Kevin, Brian and the other soldiers quickly jumps
behind the jeeps to protect themselves.

“Open my handcuff!” Kevin orders the soldiers.

“But…”

“Quick!!” Kevin shouts out.

The soldier takes out the keys. However, when he’s just about to set Kevin
free, he was shot. Kevin quickly takes the keys and set himself free. He
takes the gun at the soldier’s uniform. He saw a walkie-talkie in the army’s
jeep. He quickly reach it and ran to another jeep. He saw Brian hiding at
another jeep besides him.

“Brian, run! Get away from there!” Kevin shouts.

“No! I’ll join you! I know I can help you!” Brian ignores.

“You’ll die!” Kevin shouts back.

“I rather die than living ten thousand years without Howie and you!” Brian
replies.

“Stubborn! Come on, follow me!” Kevin quickly ran inside the chamber. Brian
followed him.


Brian and Kevin reached a fine place. Kevin quickly take out the
walkie-talkie which he’d took from the jeep before. He try to dedicate the
machine to another machine.

“AJ, do you read me?” Kevin said.

“I read you, roger,” AJ replies.

“AJ, this is me, Kevin,”

“Kevin? Where are you?”

“It’s a long story. Can I meet you?”

“Sure, where?”

“At my basement chamber,”

“Certainly. Wait for me there,”

Kevin close up the machine. Then he turns to Brian. However, he was shocked
to see Brian’s left arm’s bleeding.

“What’s happening to you?” ask Kevin.

“Nothing serious. I was shot when I’m joining Howie to defeat the Tangs,”
said Brian.

“Is it hurt?” ask Kevin.

“Not as serious as Howie,” Brian said.

“No, Brian. I’d lose Howie, I don’t want to lose you now,” Kevin take
Brian’s left hand, “I’ll medicate you when we reach our basement,”

 Chapter 13

FRIENDSHIP IS SOMETHING WE COULD CHERISH TOGETHER

(At the basement)

Kevin ask Brian to have a rest for the rest of the two days. Kevin had told
AJ about the Tangs’ arrangements. AJ agrees to help Kevin to stop all of the
plans. Soon, the time had come. It was 5:00 o’clock for the third day
Howie’s dead. Brian listen carefully for whatever Kevin had planned for.

However, Brian had decided to tell Kevin the truth that day. He feels guilty
on how Kevin loves him and how he’d annoyed his best friends.

“Got it?” ask Kevin after he finished telling his plans.

“Okay,” AJ nods.

“Okay, get ready,” Kevin quickly get his weapons through his suit.

“Kevin,” Brian interrupts them.

“What?”

“Remember about the code that the Tangs discover?” Brian starts, “I… I
actually… I’m the one who gave it to them,”

Kevin and AJ shocked.

“I mean… I want my rank back and I’m too jealous about Nick that I… I gave
Mulligan the code. I thought that’s just a personal code. So, I gave it to
him. I mean…” Brian try to explain.

Kevin’s eyes widened. He really can't believe that Brian would do that. AJ
quickly hold Brian tight. Kevin turn and walk away in anger in his eyes.

“AJ!! Take care of Brian!! Don’t let him go away!!” Kevin shouts as he keeps
on walking.

“No!!! Kev!! You can harm me or punch me or anything you want to do to me!!
But please don’t go!! You’ll easily die if you go alone!! Please!!” Brian
shouts back. AJ hold Brian as tight as he could.

“Brian! Let him go!” AJ try to calm Brian down.

“No, AJ!! You don’t understand!! If we late even a short time, it will bombs
this city out!!” Brian try to explain, “If we could do it together, probably
we can find it faster and we can stop it!! You need to understand this!!,”

“But…” AJ try to protest.

“Please, AJ! Let me go and help him!! I mess this problems up, please let me
solve it back!” Brian begs him. AJ think about it.

“AJ!!” Brian try to makes AJ confident, “Do you want to see Kevin die as
well as Howie?!!”

AJ really didn’t know what to do this time. Honestly he really don’t want
Kevin die. He’d lost Howie so he doesn’t want to lose Kevin. Slowly AJ let
Brian go. Brian quickly ran towards his car and drove off. AJ think for a
while.

“Wait a minute, I can't just wait here without doing anything. I’m Kevin’s
sergeant,” AJ quickly ran out and fetch a taxi to the Watch Tower.

 Chapter 14

WHAT A FEELING COULD DO

Kevin walks carefully inside the Watch Tower. The machines are working
together. If he lose his steps, he’ll probably die before he found the
hydro-bomb. Kevin try to search every place of it.

In the same time, Brian also entered the machine to find Kevin together with
the hydro-bomb. He try to mind his steps as careful as can be. He admit he
won't say he doesn’t afraid of die. He is really afraid of it. But now he
learned something new that the feelings could come across everything.

Meanwhile, AJ is searching for the other Tangs. He prepare for his gun to
make sure his safety. He recognized the Tangs at the edge of the Watch
Tower. He saw Fenbern as he attacks the gun straight towards the leader.
Fenbern was shot perfectly. However, Tiger, Ceria and Lysander was still
alive, they’re glancing at the big clock. It was 10:15. Triple of them
quickly ran to reach the top of the tower. AJ chase them. Tiger try to stop
AJ. They’re fighting for a while but then, AJ shot him perfectly. AJ quickly
run to get the other both. Ceria try to starts the helicopter’s engine.
Quickly AJ shoot him. It doesn’t goes perfectly. However, it does goes to
Ceria’s right arm. Ceria try to hold on. AJ shoot once again. This time, it
goes perfectly towards Ceria’s heart. Lysander was shock to see he was left
alone. He quickly drove the helicopter away. AJ prepare for a harder shot.
He attacks at the helicopter and blast a huge missile. The helicopter blows
up on the air together with Lysander.

Brian is still searching. However, he saw the bomb at the clock’s long
pointer. Brian try to search the wire to stop it but he can't. He glances at
the clock. It’s almost 10:30. Brian try to search anything that could stop
the bomb.

Suddenly, Brian recognized something. He quickly ran to the top of the tower
and jumps down. AJ was shocked to see that. He quickly ran to look what’s
going on. AJ could see Brian hanging at the long needle of the giant clock.

“Brian! What are you doing?!” ask AJ.

“It’s the only way to safe the city! I saw the bomb but we can't stop it!
The only way to stop it just to stop the clock! It’s too late to run down
and stop the service! So, I’ll hang here to stop the clock!” Brian explains.

“But you can't hold much longer!” AJ shouts.

“I’m sure I could! Trust me!” Brian replies.

Kevin who is still in the clock soon reach the back of the clock’s surface.
Kevin could saw Brian hanging on the needle of the clock. He suddenly
spotted the bomb behind the needle and try to stop it but for sure, he can't
do it. Kevin glances at the giant machines. It certainly stop working but it
seems to be moving not long after this. Kevin glance at his watch. It’s now
10:42. However the giant clock is still 10:30. Perhaps because of Brian
hanging on the needle.

Kevin run to reach the top of the tower. He saw AJ was there.

“AJ! What’s happening?!!” ask Kevin.

“Brian’s hanging on the needle to stop the bomb!!” said AJ.

“What?!! Isn't I told you not to let him go?!!” Kevin said.

“How could we let you go alone?!! If you die, we want to die with you too!!”
AJ shouts back through the windy air. Kevin said nothing. He quickly look
down.

“Brian!!” Kevin shouts. Brian looks up.

“Hold my hand!! Before you fall down!! Quick!” Kevin let his hand down.

“No! I’d annoyed you, Kev! I’m sorry!” Brian replied.

“Hold my hand, Brian!! I understand you!! You’re just jealous about it. I
know you’d done that just because you love me! I know no one would love me
more than you do!! Come on, Brian!! Hold my hand!!” Kevin try to persuade
him.

“I can't!!” Brian shouts, “If I let go of this needle, the bomb will explode
up and this city will blows up!!”

“Listen, Brian!! The clock is trying to move!! If you don’t get away from
there, when the clock move a little bit, you’ll die!!” shouts Kevin.

“At least it won't destroy the city!!” Brian said.

“But you’ll die!!” Kevin shouts back.

“I would always afraid of being dead!! I would be satisfied if I could hear
you said that I’m like a brother to you for the last time!!” Brian said.

“I won't till you hold my hand!!” Kevin said.

AJ glanced at the machines. It’s almost moving. AJ turns to Kevin.

“Kev! Quick! It almost explode up!” shouts AJ.

“Brian!! Quick! It’s almost explode up!” Kevin shouts at Brian.

“Then run away!!” said Brian.

“How can I run without you?!!” Kevin shouts.

“Kev!! Quick!! We’ve almost got no time!!” AJ reminds him.

“Just a minute!! Brian!! Hold my hand!! I love you!! You’re like my brother
to me!! I don’t want you to die just like how I’d lost Howie!! Please!!”
Kevin said.

“Thanks, Kev. I almost miss that word!! AJ!! Take Kevin go!!” Brian shouts.

“Kevin!! Even though you’re fired, but you’re still an army!! An army can't
have feelings!! Remember what General Wright told us?!! Better for one to
die rather than thousand of people!!” AJ try to persuade Kevin.

Kevin didn’t know what to say. He turns to AJ. AJ looks worried. Kevin turns
back to Brian. He can't make a choice right now. However, his legs walk
towards AJ.

“Come on!! We don’t have much time!!” AJ pull Kevin run through the rough
air.

“We don’t have much time!!” Kevin said, “Two minutes more!!”

“Kevin!! Remember your skydiving lesson?!!” AJ points to the skydiving bags
on the top of the tower.

“Perfect!!” Kevin take it and wears it. However, Kevin can't fasten it
tightly when AJ pull him down.

Just then, the top of the tower explodes up. Even though it’s just a little
explosion, but we can make sure that Brian’s dead. AJ and Kevin reach the
ground. Kevin look at the air.

“AJ, the top of the tower was gone,” Kevin said.

“As well as Brian too,” AJ continue.

Kevin didn’t show any disappointment on his face.

“Sometimes I’m thinking, I’d put my life on Brian, Nick and Howie’s fingers
before. But now Nick had transfer to Switzerland and he would probably never
come back. Howie and Brian had dead and they won't be at my side again for
sure. I’d lost everything in this world,” Kevin said staring at the smoky
clouds. AJ look at Kevin.

“You still have me,” AJ smiles sweetly.

Kevin turns to AJ. He stares at AJ’s childish face as he smiles back and
give AJ a brotherly hug. Even though he’d lost Brian by his side, but he
knows, someday, somehow, the time would give him a new brother. Starting
with this little boy called Alexander James McClean.
