  1. [18:03] {NARRATION} https://i.imgur.com/aVXsXkT.png
  2.
  3. It was the beginning of a new winter when the tribes of Moxtli set off on following a certain rumor, well aware of the movements of the sirenian pirates. And of course, of the potential treasure that was buried here, in one of the more prominent lands that Saekanis left her blight in during a much darker era.
  4.
  5. As they took to the seas - something not all beastkin were particularly fond of - on the deck of a hired vessel they drew closer to the island in the distance, shrouded in fog. While it was morning where they stood, the faint, soft light of the sun breaking through grey clouds, a darkness hung over the island that was persistent and sure. The sound of the ocean battering against their ship was audible in their ears, but soon they were close to the shore...
  6.
  7. No birds flew overhead. There wasn't the call of a seagull, or buzzing of mosquitos.
  8.
  9. These final few minutes are an opportunity for the chieftains to debrief once more, and warn their followers what awaits them up ahead. Not just the menacing siren, but the supernatural horrors.
  10. [18:07] The Kitsune follows the group, a cosmic glow surrounding his form..
  11.
  12. A hand on his staff ever-present. Danger could arise from any point here.
  13.
  14. "This is what I've been waiting for," the Kitsune breathed. A chance to prove himself before the Chieftains, and earn a place within their tribe--
  15.
  16. -- or at least, stop being seen as the housecat that people called him. For them to stop comparing him to the domesticated fox that they called his cousin..
  17.
  18. His gaze falls to Ixcatzin, to Talacael.. To D'noxa, for guidance regardless. What came next?
  19. (Feiyan Taiyang)
  20. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  21.
  22. [18:08] This was it- her element, so to speak. The water, the beach? It was perfect for Shining Sparkle. Daunting as the open sea and the looming fog were, her spirits remained ever high.
  23.
  24. Sunglasses are removed from her face and tucked away into one of her backpack's numerous pockets. With vision partly restored, she peers over the edge of their vessel into the dark sea below.
  25.
  26. "If we were to cast a line out, I wonder if there'd be any fish here!"
  27.
  28. A comment to none in particular. She'd be waiting for further instructions, naturally.
  29. (Shining Sparkle)
  30. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  31.
  32. [18:09] "Is Tono dead?"
  33.
  34. Tono'tli felt SICK. His face all but green as he struggled to contain the contents of his stomach. Cats and waters didn't Gel well, and yet here he was. Out on the open ocean on a BOAT. It was literal torture. So much so that he was hissing, too scared to look over-board.
  35.
  36. He'd curl into a ball, wholly ignorant to the events playing out around him. And would only uncurl once they were ready to make land-fall.
  37.
  38. Even still, he keeps his ears out, listening impatiently to the words of his elders. A task that was pretty easy to do, considering how quiet it was. Too quiet.
  39.
  40. It was almost concerning.
  41. (Tono`tli)
  42. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  43.
  44. [18:09] The kitsune, unfamiliar with the way of seafaring. As the boat rocked, the kitsune felt more confortable sitting near the edge watching the horizon as land vanished. Upon arriving on the island he immitately hopped off onto the dry land and made his way to the gathered crowd of familiar faces. He watched as people inspected the island, comments on the nature and wildlife...
  45.
  46. "Huh... this place feels... empty." is the only words he manages to squeeze out of his little mouth.
  47. (Katash)
  48. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  49.
  50. [18:09] The Shaman had no problems with the sea, though that did not mean she had to enjoy sailing. Managing to not get sea sick they got closer to their destination, she settled her golden gaze upon the island in question.
  51.
  52. "We're close." She states, the dark island cast in the shadows of whatever corruption had taken root here. It would surely be dangerous, but above most it was her duty to be here. "Everyone stay alert, we don't know the exact cause of this.. but there's a reason no gulls are following she ship anymore." The birds having abandoned them once they got within sight of the place.
  53.
  54. "When we prepare to touch down, keep an eye on your surroundings, if you see something strange don't go looking at it alone. Tell the Tribe and take at least one other with you, if not more." It was a matter of simple survival tactics, the Shaman wanting to peer deeper into the anomaly here once they were on it's soil.
  55.
  56. Herears flatten against the sides of her head. "Whatever is doing this, we're going to stop it."
  57. (D'noxa Aba)
  58. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  59.
  60. [18:09] Se-Young stepped into the scene with conspicuously cutesy bandages placed on any conspicuous flesh surfaces. Hopefully they won't scar, at the very least he could try to look presentable in front of others.
  61.
  62. A hand is flexed and relaxed, trying to warm up since the events from yesterday still took a toll on his body. And mental state, he supposes.
  63.
  64. Languid eyes scanned the horizon, though his guard is a little less than stellar at the moment, he has Itzcali and his brothers to rely.
  65.
  66. Oh, and Feiyan he supposes.
  67.
  68. "This is actually kind of exciting," he steps beside the latter mentioned. "Do you think if I pushed you off board, fish'll flock to you?"
  69. (Kim Se-young)
  70. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  71.
  72. [18:10] "Something is vastly wrong here." Carnivore spoke with a shudder as she stepped onto the deck. It was as if the land were.... Deserted of life. Unnatural. She could feel the lack of life.
  73.
  74. "There's no life I can detect around. No fish. No insects. No birds. Nothing. This is wrong." She would warn again, the Dryad actually showing a deep, unusual level of concern. For Carnivore to showcase any emotion other than her usual coyness or sadism should be a warning flag for all here.
  75. (Carnivore)
  76. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  77.
  78. [18:10] Jani didn't like it, not one bit. Being upon a ship, it's unnatural. She's a deep connection to the earth, her feet belong on it, not on wood, on top of water, on top of earth.. Though she battled with her sea-sickness, she knew she couldn't just.. turn back now. Through most of the sea trip, she'd spent her time complaining about the voyage to Itzul.
  79.
  80. Her attention turned over to the chieftains, curious as to what was going on. The lack of animal life concerned her, but even now she still felt sick to her stomach, so she didn't speak up.
  81. (Jani)
  82. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  83.
  84. [18:10] While the treasure was surely something of interest to the Kitsune it's the promise of spirits that draws him in! All the way upon their hired vessel he'd strum away on his guitar, simply enjoying the passing waves and encroaching beach over the horizon. Foggy, surely, but it did little to dampen the performer's mood.
  85.
  86. Ceti's warrior was always the stupidly courageous one.
  87.
  88. Soon, though, they make headway onto the beach. Lugging his guitar over one shoulder the manasaber's pommel is palmed to the side. Muted, chittering laughter bubbles in the swordsman's mouth. It shakes his teeth, dancing away as he does his best to withhold the chaotic laughter already.
  89.
  90. "My, my..! It's a rather depressing sight, isn't it?" Eiji queried to no one in particular. No birds, no mosquitos, it was all dead silent... Surely an ill omen for the entities ahead.
  91.
  92. "... I was never told what thesespirits eat, by the way," he continued. "Can someone spill those beans? It won't change my desire to aid, of course!" Though he soon falls silent as he listens to the commands of those above him in rank.
  93.
  94. Eyes open. Stay aware. Simple tasks that even a fool could do, and he'd surely follow them to a tee.
  95. (Eiji)
  96. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  97.
  98. [18:11] While the others were probably distracted by the boat ride, Gou... Gou had a task to tend to. That being his injured sibling, because tending to injuries was about all the former shaman was good for.
  99.
  100. Or well, that's all people ever asked of him.
  101.
  102. The claw mark on his sister's cheek, that tainted her visage would find itself swiftly tended to. Stitching it close with relative ease. Just in time for him to see the end of their little boat ride.
  103.
  104. "This should be interesting." He'd mutter as he awaited orders from the chieftains, and head shaman.
  105. (Gou Meztin)
  106. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  107.
  108. [18:12] Against his better judgement, Itzul set off with his fellow beastkin. If the rumours were true, the relics of Saekanis belonged to them. He wouldn't allow those pirates to claim what they owned.
  109.
  110. The looming fog indicated their destination. It was a mysterious influence with a cause he hypothesized. It was the lingering presence of the deity meant to protect the land, its treasures and any followers that may be present.
  111.
  112. "Sister! What's our plan?"
  113. (Itzul)
  114. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  115.
  116. [18:13] The tribesmen gathered, and their course was set. Any small tad-bit rumour of saekanis was always going to catch the attention of the spirit-seekers that remained.
  117.
  118. A journey he hadn't expected to ever participate in, the turbulent seas a domain he held no interest in ever stepping foot in before, clawed fingers holding onto a rope to stabilize his footing as they traversed the waves towards their destination.
  119.
  120. Until finally, they arrived. The island that came into view held a mythical feeling to it, emerald orbs narrowed into slight slits as the salty air was inhaled into nostrils.
  121.
  122. Silence. Only the crashing of waves, and the crews muttering persisted around the man as he moved to take a stand at the head of the ship.
  123.
  124. "Debark off the ship."
  125.
  126. The wooden vessel struck land, and with it their arrival onto the island.
  127.
  128. "Remain in groups, do not wander off alone. This is new territory for us. We're here to deal with the restless spirits, to quell their anger."
  129.
  130. Just like how they dealt with Saekanis in the past, although, this time they hopefully wouldn't be dealing with a divine spirit.
  131. (Talacael Meztin)
  132. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  133.
  134. [18:13] Ter gazed around the coastline at the other Beastkin. Or, she would be if she cared. The Lapine kept face as they took in the scenery. Nothing too special. Some water rippling along the coast ... a few bits of seaweed washing ashore.
  135.
  136. She was actually questioning what the point was for all of them to be here. Yeah, there was some strange vessel drawing near, but what was the point in worrying about that? Wait. Was it a ship that was drawing near?
  137.
  138. First disinterested, her bland face grew into a slight grin. A ship!? Don't ships normally have gold or something? This trip might actually be worth it.
  139.
  140. What was there to be frightened about?
  141. (Ter Lunae Vine)
  142. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  143.
  144. [18:14] The peculiar drab of the island inoculated not a fragment of comfort within Ixcatzin; ironically enough, she didn't feel at home in these particular wilds, and that in and of itself was off-putting.
  145.
  146. An ear folds and unfurls, as a precedent to her words.
  147.
  148. "... We're just about there.
  149.
  150. Make certain to stick close to each other, and don't touch anything you don't recognize - this goes for big plants, rocks, and all else. Act prudently." Only the heavens knew if the plants here were Carnivore's cousins.
  151.
  152. "This isn't a venture you can just charge into mindlessly. If you aren't careful, you'll end up a snack for the earth."
  153. (Ixcatzin)
  154. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  155.
  156. [18:14] An extra cushion of the shadows had wrapped themselves around Itzcali's feet as they made what was certainly the Moxtli Tribe's maiden voyage to any far away island. His time spent with the Deep Company aboard their own vessel had taught him a few things about keeping from getting seasick, which is why his shadow aimed to elevate and manipulate his stature to a point where he was hardly effected.
  157.
  158. The status of the island is a different thing entirely, however.
  159.
  160. The lack of life for his twitching ears to pick up on draws concern that only their leaders could answer. Luckily, Talacael and Aba do immediately after.
  161.
  162. "So listen for the spirits, and put them to rest? Understood."
  163.
  164. And golden eyes peel out as they prepare to move to land, prepared for whatever they might encounter.
  165. (Itzcali)
  166. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  167.
  168. [18:15] Nori realized that everyone was concerned about the situation, but for some reason, he seemed to be used to that environment. Maybe because he grew up on an island like that.
  169.
  170. The breeze, however, made Nori feel a little afraid. He couldn't smell anything.
  171. (Nori)
  172. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  173.
  174. [18:15] "You can't fish on a moving boat," came the curt response.
  175.
  176. Travelling didn't bother Yaretzi deeply. She was prepared to lead by example, glancing into the endless blue abyss that stretched out like an unfinished canvas. Water smooth and undisturbed, save for when something wicked rose to challenge.
  177.
  178. She did not ASK to be babied by her brother, but it ended up happening anyway. The shallow claw mark was dealt with while she tried to act cool, undermining her efforts.
  179. (Yaretzi Meztin)
  180. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  181.
  182. [18:18] {NARRATION} The high winds carried their vessel onward, perhaps at a pace too quick for many of the cats; they'd have to endure for a time longer.
  183.
  184. The blue sea foamed with anticipation, and the beach ahead was a narrow piece of gold that split into the wild island--the closer they were the denser the fog was, thick in the air. But they had not quite reached their destination yet, the shallow waters still off. The anchor wouldn't be dropped for some minutes...
  185.
  186. A rumble followed.
  187.
  188. It wasn't a wave, or sudden freak weather, no--there was no storm brewing overhead, yet the ship they sailed or shifted in the waters, back and forth, bobbing in moton...
  189.
  190. (Tono -- do a /roll for sea sickness! 3 or less = your aggro meter increases...!!)
  191.
  192.
  193. A slimy, thick tentacle WHACKS the side of the boat before piercing up above, then it's joined by a dozen others, and a dozen more. Until there's countless tendrils that danced in the sky, one of them pinching an unsuspecting victim and straight up lobbing them out into the sea...
  194. [18:23] There'd been hours of deep sea travel for them to be accosted by sea monsters. It was only now, that the island was in sight, that something chose to show up..? Always the optimist, Yaretzi scowled and curled her hands into fists.
  195.
  196. "Feels like we should've asked the sirenia to help out," she told Gou. "I'm sure they're used to fighting these things."
  197.
  198. Battling against an ocean beast did nothing to elicit excitement from her, unless it was going to have the Osronan flag tattooed on its suckers. She stayed nearby her brother out of convenience more than an expectation that he'd need her help.
  199.
  200. Should the boat be torn apart, they didn't want to get scattered in the water like fireflies shaken in a jar.
  201. (Yaretzi Meztin)
  202. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  203.
  204. [18:23] It was out of his element, too. Most Kitsune flocked to fire, and he flocked to water instead..
  205.
  206. Even so, he had never been on a boat in his life; regardless, the Kitsune manages to brave it before the entire ship is shaken by the approaching Kraken.
  207.
  208. His staff is immediately jutted into the ground- trying to find some hold as he steadies himself.
  209.
  210. "It looks like we've got company," he groaned, as his eyes dart around in the sky for the moon, only to realize it was... Unseen. A bother. He'd have to do without it's essence for now, shutting his eyes as his body begins to glow--
  211.
  212. Pale. Cold. A weak imitation of the floating rock's light in the morn.
  213. (Feiyan Taiyang)
  214. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  215.
  216. [18:24] With her words spoken, she thought she would have at least a few minutes to gather her thoughts to herself.. but that was wrong. She felt the sips rhythm become interrupted, something that struck her as odd but she wasn't alarmed..
  217.
  218. Not until the impact against the side of the boat nearly threw her off balance, the Shaman taking a few steps before the first of those massive appendages comes to view. "MOXTLI! Try to dismember it until we see the head, then everyone strike at once!" Surely if it lost all of it's arms it would emerge.
  219.
  220. Her whip lashed as it was drawn, the wolf coming to stand on the prow as she called upon the waters below them.. While she surely couldn't displace the thing, she could hinder it. Her blood flowing outwards to imbue the waters she summoned, trying to restrain various tentacles so her Tribemates could remove them.
  221. (D'noxa Aba)
  222. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  223.
  224. [18:24] Just before Se-Young could even think about throwing Feiyan in the water (for fun), the sudden and violent rocking of the ship nearly threw him off balance. Pressing the butt of his katana against the wooden deck, he pushed himself back to his feet. Luckily the young author found out a few days ago he has some pretty salty sea legs.
  225.
  226. "Hey, Itzcali. I know spirits are pretty all-encompassing. They can be anything and everywhere but--" he points out to the horizon at their very obvious first threat. "--Is that a spirit we should put to rest?"
  227.
  228. Se-Young only watched as the kraken flung a crewmember off-board, and distinctly remembered thinking to himself: 'Hey someone should save that guy'.
  229. (Kim Se-young)
  230. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  231.
  232. [18:24] Honestly, spending time on the ship wasn't bad. Not in the slightest. Perhaps that was due to how much time he's been spending with the Sirenians as of late.
  233.
  234. Or perhaps it was something else.
  235.
  236. Though that small amount of enjoyment would fade away as the rumble was felt. "Uh-oh." Outstanding commentary from the Meztin, as he glances around. What could it have possible be-
  237.
  238. Crash.
  239.
  240. The sound of the tentacle crashing into the side of the ship, immediately gets his attention, as his emerald orbs snap over towards it. Just in time to watch the limb take hold of an unsuspecting crewmate.
  241.
  242. "Spirits. We haven't even gotten onto the island, and we're already under assault." He slowly shakes his head, as his hand grips his staff a fair bit tighter, as he readies himself to unleash an unrelenting storm of cosmic, and shadow magic against the creature that dare strike their ship.
  243. (Gou Meztin)
  244. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  245.
  246. [18:25] The Boat ride had been unbearable, but this. THIS!? It was utter hell. He'd devoted his life to helping his kin, with everything he did being for them. Okay. Occasionally he'd attack humans and prattle on racist slurs and one liners. But nothing deserving of this torment.
  247.
  248. And yet, here he was!
  249.
  250. As the boat rocks ever more violently, so too did he squeeze further into a ball, practically weeping. "Spare Tono, pleaseeee…"
  251.
  252. As if adding insult to injury, a giant Tentacle would erupt out of the ocean, whacking onto the Deck and knocking everything over. The poor cat is almost sent over-board until he finds the strength to get back on his feet.
  253.
  254. If there was one place he wasn't going. It was the WATER!
  255. (Tono`tli)
  256. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  257.
  258. [18:25] Seeing the tentacles swaying behind him, Nori jumped back with tremendous fright. He had never seen such a large creature in his life. Despite being used to the sea, it seemed to come from very deep place.
  259. (Nori)
  260. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  261.
  262. [18:25] Carnivore's children sprouted from her figure. The fly traps immediately went to work defending the ship, biting and spewing acid onto the tentacles where they could. She wasn't comfortable fighting on the sea, but she'd have to make the best of things.
  263.
  264. "A Kraken! Keep it from damaging the ship, or we'll be easy prey in the water!" Carnivore advised, knowing full well that half the beastkin on this ship couldn't swim worth a damn. Dumb cats.
  265.
  266. As a man was straight up flung skyward, she cast her hand out, a vine lashing quickly to save them from the watery depths. "ALSO WATCH ABOVE YOU! Or that'll happen."
  267.
  268. Multitasking was fortunately her specialty, given how much she had to maintain command of all of her children. The Dryad sighed, knowing full well that a Kraken right at the start of this venture was not a good omen. The spirits here would not be quelled without a fight.
  269.
  270. "If anyone has lightning magic, AIM FOR THE WATER!"
  271. (Carnivore)
  272. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  273.
  274. [18:26] "--gh."
  275.
  276. Was it too much to ask for a strip of land to move on before they're violently assaulted? She hadn't a clue of how to maneuver on a boat, of all stages.
  277.
  278. Her body bounces up without delay, and in a rolling bound, steadies itself (as well as it can) among the offscourings of their ruined ship. "Spirits, why."
  279. (Ixcatzin)
  280. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  281.
  282. [18:26] Yaretzi's comment is heard above the commotion, an ear twitching. "Noted!"
  283.
  284. She'd have to remember that one.
  285.
  286. The aggressive rumble that follows leads her to cautiously retreat back a step from the ship's edge. With their leader's warnings given, she wouldn't do anything reckless now.
  287.
  288. As numerous tentacles emerge from the icy depths in a spray of salt water, it seemed like everything was about to get a whole lot worse for the group of beastkin and their token human.
  289.
  290. Her staff is retrieved from her back and held up high, a place taken near Tono to keep him from getting yanked out of the boat unexpectedly.
  291.
  292. "This is it, isn't it? When dinner fights back!"
  293.
  294. A fight it'd be.
  295. (Shining Sparkle)
  296. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  297.
  298. [18:26] Slowly, gradually they crawled closer to the beachhead! He could already feel the sand in his boots, in truth, and perhaps he might just start up a song with that in mind...
  299.
  300. Well, that was until the rumble came about.
  301.
  302. With the shudder of the ship he'd do his best to remain on his feet! There's a sharp click of his tongue as he swiftly slides the guitar back into its strap-- Hidden eyes now trailing and chasing the tentacles as they climb upwards one after the other.
  303.
  304. Grinning from ear to ear the swordsman draws forth the manasaber from its sheath.
  305.
  306. "Do the spirits eat sushi!? Merely asking for future endeavors!" Eiji hollered out. Drawing in the cosmic motes about his frame he'd channel it towards the saber's cylinders. Chambering the first shot he'd prepare to fire off against the massive beast.
  307. (Eiji)
  308. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  309.
  310. [18:26] Something grabbed their ship? Wonderful! Of course such a thing made her run to the edge to relieve her stomach. This was just.. not a place for the rabbit.
  311.
  312. Her knees wobbled a little bit as she clutched onto the railing. The crystals rose up and began to stabilize her.
  313.
  314. "A-alright.. everyone be car-" she had to force herself to stop talking as her stomach rumbled.
  315.
  316. After a brief cough she shook her head.
  317.
  318. "Don't die." much faster.
  319. (Jani)
  320. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  321.
  322. [18:26] The rumble was all he needed, already tension had coiled along the frame of the chieftain, his mouth parting to bark out orders a tad bit too late The thick tentacle that slams into the side of the boat, followed up with the pierce through wood had him shouting.
  323.
  324. "Carnivore, ensure the ship doesn't break apart. Any other earth-magi assist the dryad in protecting the ship, I do not want to head into the water where this beast will obtain the advantage."
  325.
  326. Although, it had so evidently gained the advantage over them with its surprise attack.
  327.
  328. "Tono'tli, try and bring it out of the water, drag it with your gravity magic so we can get a proper hit on this beast's body."
  329.
  330. The water unfortunately wasn't shallow, those tentacles that aimed to bring the ship, alongside the Moxtli down into the depths where they would lose any chance of truly defeating the kraken.
  331.
  332. Poisonous vapour aimed to launch itself through the air, looking to suffocate the kraken. Pervading into its form in an attempt to do any small amount of damage the chieftain could inflict.
  333. (Talacael Meztin)
  334. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  335.
  336. [18:26] Katash sat there, looking and listening to the advice of the elders, but he couldn't help but feel the amount of empty in the air. His hair tingled, as if something with killing intent was nearby but he simply couldn't locate it... he started forward scanning the area before them until the sound of water breaking behind him.
  337.
  338. The kitsune whips around at the sound of moist meat slapping wood. He watched as the water tentacles slowly wrapped and somehow even tossed a person deeper into the sea. He's dead, no question about it.
  339.
  340. "Oh, wow..." His voice sound both amazed and scared. How would his fire magic do much to a water creature!? Katash was more than ready to fight anyway, this atmosphere is too much... pressing his palms forward, he aimed at the Kraken.
  341.
  342. "I don't like squid...!" Why couldn't it be a giant boar!?
  343. (Katash)
  344. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  345.
  346. [18:26] Carnivore says, "Understood Chieftain, redirecting my children now."
  347. [18:27] She had her eyes trained elsewhere. How bothersome ... Then, with the slam of the Kraken's arm and emerging from the ocean, the rabbit blinked. She seemed to not register the situation until they spotted it appear near a victim.
  348.
  349. "Oh. There's a squid." The girl would spout this in the most nonchalant manner. Squid? Or were Krakens an Octopus? Well ... It had 9 arms in the air.
  350.
  351. Must be an Octopus.
  352.
  353. After registering the creature as hostile and noticing the others ready to attack, she gripped her weapon by two hands. Despite not having lightning magic, Ter considered the possibility of trying to contain and limit its movement. Her skill wasn't as advanced ... Well, work with what you know.
  354. (Ter Lunae Vine)
  355. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  356.
  357. [18:28] So much for listening for the spirits. One of them or something far worse slams into the side of the ship and it becomes apparent that there were more lively matters to attend to. More urgent ones.
  358.
  359. And a lot of them, apparently.
  360.
  361. Stepping out of the lower deck to get a better view of the various limbs of the kraken, Itzcali cannot help but throw a smirk onto his face to hide any concern.
  362.
  363. "I don't have lightning magic. But I am lightning fast. Let's see how this goes."
  364.
  365. Orders had been given, and it was apparent that they needed to overcome the terror of the deep to continue on. A veil of shadows ruptures up around his frame, and the nagual runs the length of the ship, preparing to swing his very shadow after the next tendril strikes.
  366.
  367. "Wait... How many limbs does it-"
  368. (Itzcali)
  369. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  370.
  371. [18:28] Jani nodded her head and moved to aid Carnivore with protecting the ship. The only magic she really knows is crystal and earth, so hopefully she'll be able to help!
  372. (Jani)
  373. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  374.
  375. [18:29] The slippery army of tentacles writhed in the air and then slammed down towards the boat-dwellers, intent on splintering wood before they could reach the island.
  376.
  377. Can cats swim? Rabbits? It's time to find out.
  378.
  379. Of course, the distant child of a primordial is powerful but alone. So close to the blight, you can hear the distant whispers of something otherwordly in the back of your mind--but you may be too busy trying to survive and avoid being crushed by its limbs.
  380.
  381. The ocean lifts with the kraken when it emerges, a great tidal wave splitting the water apart...
  382.
  383. And its maul is unveiled, circular with a thousand daggers that look tiny in its mouth.
  384. (Kraken)
  385. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  387. [18:29] {NARRATION} (Type /group 1)
  388. [18:30] {NARRATION} /team 1
  389.
  390. !
  391. [18:31] {Item} You picked up Levitation Potion..
  392. [18:31] Their ship hurdled forward as the sails caught the ramping winds. The speed they were riding at caused a considerable amount of discomfort for the nagual. Though, he'd never disclose anything regarding the topic.
  393.
  394. "Shouldn't we.. slow down? We can barely see anything!"
  395.
  396. For all he knew, the boat was about to beach itself on the island; his suspicion almost confirming itself once the hull began to rumble. Fortunately, he was proven wrong once the kraken's tentacle rose. Unfortunately, there was a fucking kraken attacking them.
  397.
  398. Readying himself with a blade in hand, he'd approach a tentacle. Before engaging, he made a few precursory glance, scanning the deck for anything that'd help fend off the intruder.
  399. (Itzul)
  400. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  401.
  402. [18:31] {NARRATION} (Feel free to grab a levitation potion so you don't need to toggle run.)
  403. [18:32] {NARRATION} (After CD)
  404. [18:32] Katash says, "..."
  405. [18:32] Ixcatzin says, "good work, men."
  406. [18:32] Ixcatzin says, "we've repelled it."
  407. [18:32] Itzul says, "shut up"
  408. [18:32] Jani says, "Hah."
  409. [18:32] Katash says, "\Yay..."
  410. [18:32] Carnivore says, "get dunked scrub"
  411. [18:32] Katash says, "It's going to shrivle up and die now"
  412. [18:32] Ixcatzin says, "It won't mess with us again, surely -"
  413. [18:33] Shining Sparkle exclaims, "I think that was just one tentacle!"
  414. [18:33] Shining Sparkle exclaims, "Good practice, though!"
  415. [18:33] Ter Lunae Vine says, "That was an interesting event. Too bad. I thought the teeth would be nice."
  416. [18:33] Ixcatzin exclaims, "Oh-!"
  417. [18:33] Jani exclaims, "It has returned!"
  418. [18:33] Katash says, "OH SHI"
  419. [18:33] Ixcatzin says, "GET IT."
  420. [18:34] {NARRATION} (had a weird key lock issue. one more time.. after CD)
  421. [18:36] {NARRATION} (Narrating, sorry about that... getting issues w/ my controls, but we'll continue!)
  422. [18:41] {NARRATION} The many arms of the kraken whipped in towards the boat, continuing to rock it like its a toy in a tub; the waves wobble and shake the vessel, though the magi manage to protect it (mostly) and repel the creature of the ocean. Its cries of anguish can be heard in a screeching buzz that's sharp and spiteful, the dagger-like teeth of the kraken on display still.
  423.
  424. Forced back into the ocean, it swims away.
  425.
  426. For now.
  427.
  428. To recover, lick its wounds, despite having had a taste of each of those present.
  429.
  430. The ship can be guided to the shore, anchored, and the group are free to explore onward into the dense ocean that awaited. The trees were splindly and wild, with the first sign of potential hazhards being clear--the skull of a man perched right outside the cavern gates, meaning that the tribesman and sirens were not the first to walk on this cursed isle...
  431.
  432. But they may be the last to survive.
  433. [18:44] Katash slapped his hands together, two claps and placed his hands on his hips. "Pretty easy! I'm pretty sure half of us can take that on." Maybe he should stop boasting for this was one fight of many more ahead. His eyes turned from the sea of the retreating creature to the cave before them.
  434.
  435. Has the empty feeling returned? Maybe all the life is underground... his expression changed back to a more somber one, looking around for any strange creatures who may be on the attack.
  436. (Katash)
  437. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  438.
  439. [18:45] Fumbling as usual, Nori just ran back and forth while his fellow tribesmen did all the work.
  440.
  441. "I-I'm not dead yet, good..."
  442.
  443. After nearly dying and being saved more than twice, Nori began to question whether joining the expedition was a good idea.
  444.
  445. He was very curious about the island's mysteries and the wild and spiritual nature that haunted the place, but was it worth it to risk his own life?
  446. (Nori)
  447. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  448.
  449. [18:47] Yaretzi had never held an expectation of actually killing the creature. It was almost fully engulfed in water, for starters, and it'd be a waste to do so. Such a predator was not theirs to hunt, unless they really needed a budget seafood meal.
  450.
  451. She'd stay near Gou the entire fight, her impact... limited. Hand to hand fighting wasn't what they needed when standing up against the colossal creatures of the depths. Lightning magic scattered from her fingertips, unrefined and lacking attunement.
  452.
  453. Once on the beach Yaretzi would fold her arms and listen to instructions. Irritation flickered on her face as the head shaman would continue babbling orders, so she'd focus explicitly on what Talacael had to say.
  454.
  455. If there weren't any immediate orders to fan out, the nagual would stride over to Tono'cli. Curing sea sickness wasn't in their resume.
  456. (Yaretzi Meztin)
  457. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  458.
  459. [18:47] With the creature sufficiently pushed back, and most of his fellow tribesmen unharmed, a sigh of relief would escape from the former shaman's lips.
  460.
  461. "Good work."
  462.
  463. A firm pat on the back, and a thumbs up would be given to Tono, before Gou returned to patiently waiting for them to dock, and the moment they did? A wide grin would spread across his lips, as he hopped off of the ship.
  464.
  465. "So brother." He'd call out towards his eldest sibling. "What's the plan?"
  466. (Gou Meztin)
  467. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  468.
  469. [18:47] Each time she noticed a tentacle coming towards the boat, Jani met it with her magics. A shockwave of crystalline might, a burst of earth, spikes digging into the tentacles, even giant walls aimed at slowing the tentacles down. She was doing everything she could to not only protect the ship, but her kin as well.
  470.
  471. "Good work everyone, but let's not relax yet." Who knows what may be facing them coming up.
  472. (Jani)
  473. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  474.
  475. [18:48] If Beastkin weren't naturally more agile and dexterous than humans, they may have been in trouble as the ship was rocked and tossed about. The Shaman using her ability to fly to mitigate the shaking for herself, but she saw just how bad it was for most of the rest.
  476.
  477. The sea monster however, was no match for the combined efforts of the Tribes. Their mutually empowered efforts forcing it back into the deep, the ship guided onto the bank. "Well done, let this serve as an example of what this trip may entail.. Something tells me it won't be the hardest thing we face here."
  478.
  479. Her golden gaze scans the beach for signs of danger, the Spirit Dancer taking a moment to try and assess potential threats before touching the sand. Her eyes settling on the skull, she wondered if he had to fight the kraken to get here as well.
  480.
  481. "Advance with caution." She would state, briefly closing her eyes to perhaps use her affinity for Spirits to get an idea as tothe route they should take.. though if nothing came? She would glance to Talacael, mostly to see what he suggested.
  482.
  483. If he had no idea, she would push for them to advance upon the cave ahead.
  484. (D'noxa Aba)
  485. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  486.
  487. [18:48] A flinch ran rampant throughout the chieftain's body as that buzzing screech of anguish resonated throughout the surroundings, his oversensitive ears catching the sound intimately, a hand rose to his temple as the kraken fled.
  488.
  489. Their ship, at least still capable of finishing the journey towards the island.
  490.
  491. "And to think we haven't even hit land yet."
  492.
  493. Talacael's lips parted into a mutter, before his voice rose, sounding out for the crewmembers as their vessel finally parted the seas, and they arrived at the beach.
  494.
  495. "Excellent work. Each one of you, when we return to the tribe you can tell a tale of how you beat back a kraken within its own domain."
  496.
  497. A foot planted itself onto the railing of the ship, a flex of his muscle had the Meztin's body landing onto the sand, feet planted into land once more as he surveyed the area.
  498.
  499. His attention, immediately caught by the skull of a man.
  500.
  501. "It appears we are not alone. If you run into anyone, be cautious."
  502.
  503. Talacael's bow remained within a tight grip, further he moved, sand displaced as he arrived at the cavern gates, his attention shifting between each individual that had put their name forth for this expedition.
  504.
  505. "Remember, again. Do not split up, stick with a minimum of a single other person, pairs. We are now in a foreign land, these forests are not home, the denizens within are not our usual prey."
  506.
  507. "Like Ixcatzin said before, do not foolishly take from the land. Fruits of any kind, if you wish to bring them home with you that's fine, but do not taste anything while we remain on this island."
  508.
  509. And with that, he moved forward.
  510. (Talacael Meztin)
  511. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  512.
  513. [18:48] Back and forth, back and forth the ship goes! Eiji's laughter raucously bounces about in the air as he rushes about the deck. Where a tentacle may land he strikes, where a tentacle may run he blasts it with cosmic motes! There wasn't an escape from the maddened Kitsune!
  514.
  515. Yet it retreats! Those maddened cackles continue to spill forth from the swordsman's lips as he leans over the railing.
  516.
  517. "Come on, come on..! I wanted to serve you up to the SPIRITS! Surely, surely you'd taste well CHARRED!"
  518.
  519. … Eiji absolutely had no idea what the spirits ate still. The thought was what counts though, right? Letting his sharp cackling finally come down to a silent, rumbling chuckle in his throat he'd eye the coming shore.
  520.
  521. The headway to the cavern is made, and all the while those hidden eyes slowly turn to and fro to gather his surroundings. What had they found themselves near..?
  522.
  523. "At least this little darkness will be a fine backdrop for my spotlight..." He'd hum, drawing a metal claw down the rocky entryway.
  524. (Eiji)
  525. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  526.
  527. [18:49] Carnivore stays on guard for a time after all the tentacles retreat, before sighing in relief. Her children withdrew back into her flesh, most of them satisfied with the chunks of flesh they had ripped from the great beast of the sea.
  528.
  529. "No. Today, we are not prey, Great Kraken." She spoke, seemingly not angry at the monstrous entity they had chanced upon. Well, she was one that spoke of respecting the food chain.
  530.
  531. -----
  532.
  533. At last, they would disembark onto the sands. The friendly mounted skull was a token display of a very warm welcome! The warning would doubtless fail to scare the Moxtli, given how often they dealt death out.
  534.
  535. "Do not let your guard down. That was merely one animal around these parts. If there's enough food to sustain a Kraken, it could mean large creatures lurk here." The Dryad would explain, stepping to stand with the Chiefs. "I still don't feel any life here. Either something is blocking my senses, or there's a malevolence at work within the land, beyond angered spirits."
  536. (Carnivore)
  537. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  538.
  539. [18:49] Tono'tli spent much of the fight clinging to the railings, conjuring up much of his magic to propel the creature out of the water - just as his Chieftain had asked of him. And when he wasn't doing that, he was flailing his arms and running around in circles avoiding the Krakens own.
  540.
  541. As powerful as his magic had begun to develop over the months, it certainly had not been enough to lift the creature up and out of the water. At the most, it only served to provide a minor inconvenience towards it.
  542.
  543. Soon enough, the tribe had dealt with the beast from the deep, the giant Kraken sinking back into the waters depths and swimming hopefully far, far away. Never to be seen again.
  544.
  545. "And do no be returning!" He shouts back towards it, waving his fist like an angry old man whose lawn was being invaded by street kids.
  546.
  547. He offers a nod and smile towards his Teacher and Chieftain, he'd not made a fool of himself, at-least. Right? Right?
  548.
  549. As soon as they make land-fall, he's quick to jump off the ship and run as far in-land as he possibly can!
  550. (Tono`tli)
  551. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  552.
  553. [18:49] To her surprise, the beast wasn't as nearly as dangerous as it looked. Or perhaps the group of beastkin and their token human were just that strong.
  554.
  555. She kept near Tono, threw up sand to defend him, and ultimately was able to assist in warding off the threat.
  556.
  557. Shining Sparkle had every intention of following along with the group no matter how scary the shores looked. She'd avoid causing trouble, this time.
  558.
  559. "Buddy system!"
  560. (Shining Sparkle)
  561. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  562.
  563. [18:49] His magic weaves across the sky, glimmering with a cosmic glow not unlike what people saw in the sky at night. His proficiency with fending off the arms of the creature is primed, sending forth a wave of lunar energy to strike one of them back.
  564.
  565. "Magical Arts: Crescent Arc!" He'd call, as verbal casting simply served him better. Alas, the battle was over (for now) and they were free to press on.
  566.
  567. For now, though, and without words, he just prepares to follow behind Gou and Talacael.
  568. (Feiyan Taiyang)
  569. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  570.
  571. [18:50] "Oh. Okay, bye, squid-octo-thing!" She was waving in the direction of the Kraken as it swam off. It was astonishing to see something so close. Not too close, its breath smelled horrid from a distance.
  572.
  573. She was almost defeated, actually, a slight misstep almost cost her life but, she didn't seem to phased. Rather, she was just fascinated by the creature. Its teeth were sharp too ... If only they weren't attached to some foreign, hostile creature.
  574. (Ter Lunae Vine)
  575. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  576.
  577. [18:50] It almost seemed like they should stop and cheer! But that massive threat was far from the only one they would likely be facing.
  578.
  579. Itzcali barrels off of the ship to land without a thud, the ambience around his frame melting away once he sticks the landing beside Yaretzi and her dear brother, the Chieftain.
  580.
  581. "One of those legs would have been a nice trophy for the Temple back home, but I suppose living is nice, too."
  582.
  583. A bit of time is taken to dry off from the encounter before he gazes upon the skull, intended to be a warning for most. But they knew what they signed up for.
  584.
  585. Talacael called for a buddy system, so it would be so. The middle-child of the nagual pack moves over and up to his elder system, giving a light nudge to pull her attention.
  586.
  587. "Ready when you are."
  588. (Itzcali)
  589. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  590.
  591. [18:50] Obliging his lithe figure, Se-Young moved through each strike with ease, only losing his composure whenever the boat rocked violently, which it did often. Still, he managed to sail through the air gracefully until a momentary misstep caused him to get flung out into open water.
  592.
  593. With his quick wits he was able to quickly solidify the ocean surface, turning into stable ice long enough for him to skate back to the boat. As he leap high enough to land onto the boat, Se-Young commanded the already-formed ice to extend and burst, showering the kraken with a hail of sword-like projectiles.
  594.
  595. Upon reaching the boat, he recomposed himself and keenly kept an eye on Itzcali and Gou with a sly smirk.
  596.
  597. Satisfied with his contribution, he released the magnetic-like attraction on his sword and sheathed it.
  598.
  599. "Ahh, I really hope I can continue to rely on my friends to keep me safe. I knew sticking around you, Itzcali, would be good news."
  600.
  601. He watched the Kraken retreat into the depths, hoping it won't be the last time they'll ever see it.
  602.
  603. Se-Young caught up with the rest of the group as they too composed themselves. A hand tapped Feiyan on the back as he walked beside him.
  604.
  605. "What other kind of freakish thing will we see, I wonder? Are you easily scared? Frightened? Don't worry, you can count on me to keep you safe."
  606. (Kim Se-young)
  607. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  608.
  609. [18:50] Through their joint efforts, the people of Moxtli managed to repel the beast with everyone mostly unscathed. With their ship function, they advanced onto sweet land. They were off that wretched vessel.
  610.
  611. The ominous display ahead enticed no fear in Itzul. He'd become desensitized to the remains of many animals in his adolescence. Even the ones of humans.
  612.
  613. There was no room for cowards, they've made it this far already.
  614.
  615. "Stay behind me Jani."
  616.
  617. He stated before advancing forward into the cave, likely following behind his sister.
  618. (Itzul)
  619. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  620.
  621. [18:52] {NARRATION} (All follow Talacael for ease of summoning, please!)
  622. [18:52] Ixcatzin cursorily ruffles a hand through Itzcali's hair. "Yeah."
  623. (Ixcatzin)
  624. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  625.
  626. [18:55] {NARRATION} Up ahead, as they venture deeper into the wilderness, it is clear that the dark smog that hung over the island wasn't for show- the ever faint whispers that the kraken gave off were second-hand messages from a much older, darker entity. And now in their domain, the tribes of Moxtli are suspecible to its influence.
  627.
  628. (... If your character has routinely eaten human flesh, or felt pleasure at murder or the prospect of it, please state it in your next roleplay.)
  629.
  630. The forest ahead was a maze of splindly, winter-y trees, the canopy of dark green like a wall surrounding them, and the mud at their feet was sticky and deep. Swamplands. A few more discarded human bones greet you occasionally, and far ahead there is a winged finger shrouded in black, with two beady eyes that poke out beyond.
  631.
  632. On the ground there are various unfinished runic sigils, and occasionally you'll notice a tree twist and turn - as if they're trading places with each other in the distance and the forest is moving.
  633. [18:59] The group pushed forward, the terrain so familiar and yet.. it wasn't the forests of their home. They weren't even on the same continent, and she could feel the darkness permeating the area.
  634.
  635. Yet those faint whispers reached her ears, tugged upon darker heartstrings.. Like those that begged her to kill those of Achyon, those who supported their disgusting progression as they consumed the wilds in their wake.
  636.
  637. She couldn't help herself, and she knew unless they were all gone..? They would just keep coming back.
  638.
  639. Glancing at the bones, her gaze was cast forward.. That winged figure filling her view, even as the very terrain seemed to shift and change at the edges of her vision. Whatever was doing this was more than your average restless Spirit, or even Wraith... "Careful.."
  640. (D'noxa Aba)
  641. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  642.
  643. [19:00] Pressing on, the Kitsune carries himself by courage and courage alone as he moves to remain close to Itzcali and Se-young.
  644.
  645. "This place is strange," he whispered, "But we have to find out what's going on."
  646.
  647. The spirits were amiss, and the voices that the Kraken whispers fail to persuade him into anything- particularly because he's never felt it before, there's very little impulse to make him act on it.
  648.
  649. When they come across the figure, his grip upon the stave is iron-tight.
  650.
  651. "This keeps getting more and more fun, I'm telling you," he mumbled to Kim, the scribe.
  652. (Feiyan Taiyang)
  653. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  654.
  655. [19:00] The kitsune moved forward with the group, his eyes scanning the surrounding area until he stepped in something wet. Then he noticed how bad it smelled around him. The trees didn't feel right; even the most foul places of a forest didn't smell this... rotten. His attention is quickly pulled as people shuffled in place, staring in one direction. It didn't take long for the kitsune to do the same.
  656.
  657. He got into position like expected, only to see the background around him move and shift around.
  658.
  659. "Things just get weirder, this is nothing like home..." He gripped his flame tipped staff again.
  660. (Katash)
  661. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  662.
  663. [19:00] Jani is one who has always found great pleasure in murder, torture, maiming others, and even just contemplating it. Most of her free time was spent envisioning smashing numerous peoples heads with giant rocks, just to hear the sound. She'd even attempted to do such to a few people, their heads ended up being too tough though.
  664.
  665. Not only that, she's one of the types that desires to feast upon human flesh. Mostly out of curiosity.
  666.
  667. While she felt a bit of relief that they'd easily handled the giant octopus, she couldn't shake the odd sensation, similar to a throbbing in the back of her head, but without the pain.
  668.
  669. She'd heard Itzul's words, wanting her to stay behind him, it was met with a sneer. He knows it annoys her when he tells her what to do.
  670.
  671. The bones around drew her attention, just briefly. What could be next for them?
  672.
  673. "Don't trip, Itzul."
  674. (Jani)
  675. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  676.
  677. [19:00] Nori was amazed at the place in the same proportion that he was horrified. He walked cautiously, so as not to step on anything dangerous.
  678.
  679. "My floating friends are no longer following me ... This is certainly not a good sign."
  680.
  681. The spirits that once bothered him with ridiculous favors and dirty jokes, now no longer accompany him. Despite disliking them most of the time, Nori now missed them.
  682. (Nori)
  683. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  684.
  685. [19:00] Descending down into the dark depths Eiji finds himself finally quelling the violent snickers. Clearing his throat the hidden gaze of his travels all around the inner-cavern's walls. By all means the Kitsune wasn't terrified of what was to come!
  686.
  687. After all, what was a thrill-seeking pyromaniac to do? He enjoyed the action of mauling another with little to no reason.
  688.
  689. The performer continues to scale downwards through the maze of a forest. Maintaining that sharp-toothed grin on his expression he can only lazily glance towards his surroundings from time to time - Surely there might be a few stray coins littering those bones... How else did they pay for their performances?
  690.
  691. Ceti's performer pauses, however, at the distant winged figure. In a slow tilt the Kitsune's tail flicks itself beyond him as he studies its shape alongside the runes. All of it was so odd... So interesting.
  692.
  693. "So..! What is that?" He'd hiss towards those nearby him.
  694. (Eiji)
  695. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  696.
  697. [19:01] Carnivore, attuned to nature, and being a wicked force of Nature's Wrath, was particularly susceptible to the forces that seemed to influence the area. The Dryad was someone who both took pleasure in killing, and would devour the flesh of her prey.
  698.
  699. She shuddered as she followed along, deeper into the wilderness. "The plants here are corrupt. I can no longer trust their words." She spoke, for once not trying to take advice from the land around her. The twists and turns that the realm played with were a thing of darkness.
  700.
  701. The Dryad did not enjoy being here. Not one bit. Her eyes were almost continuously pulled to the enigmatic shadow of the winged figure...
  702. (Carnivore)
  703. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  704.
  705. [19:01] As their trek progresses, Ixcatzin ascertains that her brothers are within her nearest proximities - wouldn't want them to sink into a pit of no return here, especially given how dank the mud they trudged through was.
  706.
  707. There was something she noticed whilst they walked; the sigils. Among their people, she knew of only a few who could decipher them, namely,
  708.
  709. "Tono, Gou. Do these look familiar?"
  710.
  711. The beast's presence is indeed noted, but seeing as how it didn't outright assault them yet, she figured she'd ask while they still had time.
  712.
  713.
  714. [Has NOT eaten human flesh or found pleasure in the thought of murder]
  715. (Ixcatzin)
  716. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  717.
  718. [19:01] This was a hard place to waltz through with a jaunty tune and a spring in her step. As such, she kept her shenanigans to a minimum while prioritizing the safety of her people.
  719.
  720. The lack of visibility pushes her to stick close to her tribesmen, eyes faintly illuminating to help provide a heightened sense of clarity. It was eerie how similar the forest's aura was to the old temple she'd visited with her people not long ago.
  721.
  722. Luckily, eating humans had never been on the rabbit's to-do list.
  723.
  724. She scoots back in the crowd and lightly puffs air out on the back of Kim' neck in an effort to startle.
  725.
  726. Otherwise? She was on guard. It was a concerning place to say the least.
  727. (Shining Sparkle)
  728. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  729.
  730. [19:01] Darkness.
  731.
  732. A esoteric type of darkness that seemed to seep into his very being, the tangible feeling of wrong filling the senses of the Meztin as they ventured deeper into the wilderness, his eyes warily scanning around the overgrowth of nature.
  733.
  734. Human flesh had never touched the lips of Talacael, but the prospect of murder had been alluring. Those had harmed his siblings, his tribesmen. The achyon officer that held a hand in the downfall of his shaman.
  735.
  736. Those whispers caught within his ears.
  737.
  738. Achyon, the empire that the chieftain held nothing but disdain for.
  739.
  740. "Keep your wits about you."
  741.
  742. The sudden spike of emotion that sprung forth from merely stepping foot in such a place was unnatural.
  743. (Talacael Meztin)
  744. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  745.
  746. [19:01] Nori was amazed at the place in the same proportion that he was horrified. He walked cautiously, so as not to step on anything dangerous.
  747.
  748. "My floating friends are no longer following me ... This is certainly not a good sign."
  749.
  750. The spirits that once bothered him with ridiculous favors and dirty jokes, now no longer accompany him. Despite disliking them most of the time, Nori now missed them.
  751. (Nori)
  752. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  753.
  754. [19:01] As much as Tono'tli was trying to remain in pairs, namely next to Sparkles. His little legs were practically moving on instinct, taking him as far away from the ocean as humanly possible.
  755.
  756. The further he ventured, the more he'd grown to dislike this whole adventure and what was more, was the black-smog surrounding them all. And the whispers that lurked within it, both around him and also within his mind. Not unlike the Madness that Vesper had inflicted him with.
  757.
  758. It brought about a desire. A quest he'd long been pondering alongside his close kin Luna. 'What did Human flesh taste like?' On more then one occasion did the question strike him, and he'd had so many opportunities to act on his urges. But something kept him from partaking in flesh consumption. Maybe morals.
  759.
  760. Those urges were stronger now though.
  761.
  762. "Tono kind of hungry..."
  763.
  764. He muses, pressing further on. Taking in the scenery around him, on edge...
  765. (Tono`tli)
  766. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  767.
  768. [19:02] Ter approached a few bones on the ground. One looked to be that of a femur, the other ... probably a combination of two, this would be the forearm if the owners weren't dead.
  769.
  770. Curiously, she picked both up, crossing her legs and comparing them. This rabbit couldn't keep her hands to herself. What shame did she have for disturbing someone's final resting spot? Truth be told, none.
  771.
  772. It was all impulsive childish intrigue that made her pick them up. The thought of eating human flesh didn't occur to her nor did their unfortunate death. Then noticing the group starting to walk ahead, she dropped the bones and ran off.
  773.
  774. [If it made no sense, she hasn't eaten human flesh nor found pleasure with murder.]
  775. (Ter Lunae Vine)
  776. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  777.
  778. [19:02] A chill ran down Se-Young's spine, which could be from the rebound from using ice magic, or the very obvious and ominous presence deeper in.
  779.
  780. Regardless of what it was, the young author pressed on without trepidation, comforted by the presence of so many friends. Beastkin, mostly. But it's not like any of them'll turn on the, like, one human here.
  781.
  782. Yeah, there's a zero percent chance of any beastkin suddenly turning on him.
  783.
  784. Yeah.
  785.
  786. A crunch underfoot nearly startled the skin off him as he looked down to behold an array of discarded bones, and having stepped on one himself, Se-Young silently prayed that this would not herald a curse upon him.
  787.
  788. "Yeah, no. I'm all about having fun but stepping on bones and making the funny crunching noises isn't my idea of fun. Hey there's something cool over the--Ghughhghhghbbl"
  789.
  790. He leaps like a scooby-doo character, expecting someone to catch him. Be the Scoob to his Shaggy? Shining Sparkle was a little brat for that one.
  791.
  792. "Hey. Hi. Don't do that, I have a weak heart and you could've killed me on the spot.
  793. ...But it was pretty funny."
  794. (Kim Se-young)
  795. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  796.
  797. [19:03] As the trees danced around them and they went deeper into the twisted forest, Itzcali finds himself thinking back to the Saekanis Temple that he and Itzul visited. The scattered bones and remains of human life that had been wiped out and potentially hunted by something that they may soon face.
  798.
  799. And despite him given the Saekanis worshipping Chieftain from that adventure the parting words of their needing to be a balance between sacrificing for the spirits and eating them, Itzcali understood the methodology behind it.
  800.
  801. Though to him, sacrifices were only offerings. He found no pleasure in the thought of killing nor eating for sport.
  802.
  803. "What happened here?"
  804. (Itzcali)
  805. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  806.
  807. [19:03] Their tribe didn't hunt for sport. They hunted out of necessity. Whether it was man or animal, they stood by this tenant.
  808.
  809. Thus, the entity's influence was incredibly faint. Its whispers were muffled and quiet to the point of inaudibility. They a nuisance more than anything else.
  810.
  811. Rounded pupils dilated as the group trekked through the twisting forest. Even with his heightened sight, his attempts at navigation bore no results. It seemed that their confusion only worsened with each step they walked.
  812. (Itzul)
  813. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  814.
  815. [19:03] Into the wilderness they'd go. Seeing as his brother had told him to stick together with people, the former shaman would go out of his way to stay as relatively close to his siblings as he could. After all, someone needed to look out for them.
  816.
  817. That someone was usually him.
  818.
  819. Yet, the trip through the woods wouldn't be a simple one. Nope, the forest turned out to be more akin to a maze than anything else, and by the spirits was he struggling to not get lost.
  820.
  821. "Hm..." He'd mutter, as he slowly shrugged his shoulders, right as his emerald hues rested on one of the nearby corpses. He hesitates for a moment, as he stares at it. When was the last time he had consumed human flesh... It was rather recent wasn't it?
  822.
  823. Oops?
  824.
  825. "Hmmmm…" He'd mutter, before glancing over towards Ixcatzin. "Huh?" A slow tilt of his head follows, as he at long last looked at some of the runic sigils. "They look... Eerily familiar." He'd respond, as he inched closer to them.
  826.
  827. "Tono. Come here perhaps we can finish these." Slowly, the former shaman would lower himself to the ground, and provided his apprentice was with him, he'd get to work finishing up the runes.
  828.
  829. Surely that would only do good things, right?
  830.
  831. (Gou Meztin)
  832. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  833.
  834. [19:04] There was no fear stepping into the wilderness. It was where beastkin like them belonged, the untamed wilds that stretched out like a grasping hand. Far more natural than ocean.
  835.
  836. A dark miasma covered the thicket, physically and otherwise, an influence upon thoughts. To take pleasure in murder? Yes, long ago, in the early days of grief at the loss of her sibling. Those feelings had eclipsed by now...
  837.
  838. Was it here that they might resurface?
  839.
  840. Stepping through the dark forest was precarious, avoiding dipping her toes into the swamp that could be deeper than she first envisioned. A balancing act all the way through.
  841. (Yaretzi Meztin)
  842. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  843.
  844. [19:05] Tono`tli sets to work helping his teacher.
  845. (Tono`tli)
  846. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  847.
  848. [19:05] Carnivore will kill the shamans later if this event doesn't.
  849. (Carnivore)
  850. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  851.
  852. [19:05] Ixcatzin bates her breath.
  853.
  854.
  855. Hopefully this did some good.
  856. (Ixcatzin)
  857. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  858.
  859. [19:07] The black mist that shrounded the floating figure disappates to unveil an odd looking, slimy monster of some sort -- thrice as tall as any man and five times as thick, the indigo-colored creature floated on two wings that looked too small to support his frame, with a third eyeball locked beneath his fangs.
  860.
  861. His tongue practically hung out inbetween words, slobbering, but his voice has a high tune to it. In a past life perhaps he was an entertaining. His skin was also scaled like a fish might be, but dry with the forest air.
  862.
  863.
  864. "Come one, call all! Welcome, welcome, to the The Archipelago! ..I smell the kraken on many of you, ohoho. You may have been chosen."
  865.
  866.
  867. Carnivore and Yeretzi instantly feeling themselves moving of their own according, being taken over by the blight's influence. The forces that made a home here after the travels of Saekanis were overbearing, and they were the perfect mindless victims to be.
  868.
  869.
  870. "Tell me... Why are you all here? Fans of mine, hmm? Or have you heard of the Big Guy at the bottom of the ocean?"
  871.
  872. (Skull Keeper)
  873. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  874.
  875. [19:09] Carnivore was an Impostor. One impostor remains.
  876. (Carnivore)
  877. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  878.
  879. [19:12] Shining Sparkle snickers from Kim's remark. "Sorry, sorry!" It was too good to pass up.
  880.
  881. With urgent matters popping up, namely the arrival of some unnatural being, the entertainer's attention turns toward it in full.
  882.
  883. An involuntary gasp passes through her lips once she'd gotten a better look at it. She'd seen many beasts in her time, but this? It was horribly unnerving. A creature unlike any other.
  884.
  885. Regardless, she points at it with eyes aglow and brimming with passion.
  886.
  887. "No, these are my fans! You can't out perform me...!"
  888.
  889. It was easy to be more confident with so many of her own around.
  890. (Shining Sparkle)
  891. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  892.
  893. [19:13] The winged thing turned out to be a rather disgusting variety of beastie, the Shaman staring at the creature.. Her gaze filled with evident distaste as it spoke at them, it's voice reminding her of a performer of some sort.. "Chosen for what..?" She asks, hearing it's questions her hand gently comes to rest on her whip handle.
  894.
  895. "We know not who or what you are, nor what you're speaking of beneath the waves." Though that did not make her a fan of Sparkle either.. Her grip slowly tightens around the handle. "What is causing this place to become so corrupted..? Why do I hear the Spirits weep?" The Shaman inquired, ready to move at a moments notice..
  896.
  897. She couldn't trust anything that dared call this place home.
  898.
  899. Hopefully it would reveal some form of information, but she knew deep down this would end with bloodshed.
  900. (D'noxa Aba)
  901. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  902.
  903. [19:13] Tono'tli was currently helping his teacher finish the Runes. If they did something, he couldn't say. And it was only upon their completion would they have their answer. So lost in his work was he that he barely managed to notice the Black mist dissipating, revealing a slimy, UGLY looking creature.
  904.
  905. Caught off guard, he'd drop onto his rump. Backing away a few steps before he made to stand. Immediately his guard was up and his staff was taken between his hands.
  906.
  907. "Be providing safe passage, yes? Tono not wanting to have to kill weird slime monster. Be exchanging words instead?"
  908.
  909. For once he wasn't looking for a fight. What a surprise!
  910. (Tono`tli)
  911. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  912.
  913. [19:13] An abomination.
  914.
  915. Or at least, that's what struck within his mind instantly as the floating creature came into view. Emerald eyes locked upon the Skull Keeper's form, his eyes widening for the slightest of moments in shock as words actually left the Keeper.
  916.
  917. "Chosen?"
  918.
  919. A frown marred his visage, the bow within his hand gained a further tightened grip as eyes slid around the group, before finally a question of his own left the Meztin's mouth.
  920.
  921. "Big guy? Who's at the bottom of the ocean, and what do you mean 'chosen'."
  922.
  923. Talacael's attention was locked on the form of the Skull Keeper.
  924. (Talacael Meztin)
  925. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  926.
  927. [19:13] The large creature approaches, although he was armed and ready for another fight the thing actually spoke to the group. Was this a spirit? It looks like nothing you'd find back at Esshar. Doesn't matter, he was not sure how'd they look anyway. He took a breath, disarming himself just a bit.
  928.
  929. The kitsune stands his ground, but he was really unsure how to answer... "Chosen?" He mutters to himself, not really expecting an answer. He holds a fist to his chest while he speaks. "We're here to appease the spirits!" His voice would pipe down, after that thing... apparently the Kraken attacked- his purpose of coming here is a little scattered.
  930.
  931. He'd look to the others, he feels like his answer wasn't good enough.
  932. (Katash)
  933. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  934.
  935. [19:13] "What Big Guy?" Ter raised her hand with her inquiry, completely oblivious to the obvious answer. Who the hell would this figure be referring to?
  936.
  937. She would look at the Skull Keeper, noticing the slobbering tongue and his dry patches of purple scales all over. Taking in the appearance of the monster, she would point. A genuine suggestion slipped from her mouth as she gestured to her own face, "Have you considered getting check for that?"
  938.
  939. Unlike the other Beastmen, she wasn't being wise with her words.
  940. (Ter Lunae Vine)
  941. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  942.
  943. [19:13] 'The fuck is that?' she thought to herself as her eyes bounced around the Skull Keeper's form. It was huge, fat, with tiny wings.. and an odd placed eyeball. What kind of deformed spirit had they stumbled upon?
  944.
  945. Why are they here?
  946.
  947. Why are they here? She's forgotten.
  948.
  949. "Fans of yours? Don't even know who you are." Might she want to though? That's a different question.
  950.
  951. A puzzled look was on her face just for a few breaths.
  952.
  953. "The Archipelago?" Was that this places name?
  954.
  955. "What big guy?" she asked finally.
  956. (Jani)
  957. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  958.
  959. [19:13] As the black shroud dissipates the Kitsune's gaze can only squint harder. Slimey, winged, and three eyeballs... It was a true monstrosity if anything! Bubbling chuckles soon build up and spill forth in the anticipation of a possible fight.
  960.
  961. "Now, now..! That is MY line..." The performer hissed on back between his laughter. "Though I thank you for the welcome! It's a fine little home you have here... I might just have to come and visit once more after this."
  962.
  963. Flicking his gaze towards Yeretzi and the Dryad he'd merely shrug. They were of little concern to him at truth...
  964.
  965. Shining's own chiming is met with the utmost cold shoulder of his own accord. Ceti's showman needn't flaunt his skill to one so ill-advised. "That said, my dear winged friend..! What is your task at the bottom of the ocean?"
  966. (Eiji)
  967. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  968.
  969. [19:13] The refiguring of the Skull Keeper pulls his attention instantly, causing the tiny hairs on the back of his neck to stand at attention.
  970.
  971. He refrains from speaking at first, opting instead to shred his own shadow with a downwards swipe and force it to trail upwards and around him frame once more.
  972.
  973. "Mmn."
  974.
  975. Who was the 'big guy' beneath the sea?
  976. (Itzcali)
  977. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  978.
  979. [19:13] The Dryad's eyes would suddenly glaze over, as her body began to move to side with the Skull Keeper. Her wicked plants began to spring to life across the dread forest. Walls of thorns, snapping plants, deadly pitchers, and barb-spitting flowers rose up.
  980.
  981. She was wordless, and her face lacked the usual coyness. It was clear that she'd been dragged under the influence of whatever ill forces were at work here. Her tongue flicked out of her mouth, unconsciously moving as she was prepared to satisfy a gnawing hunger that had grown within her. A hand raised towards her own allies...
  982.
  983. It was clear that if given the command, she would attack the tribe.
  984. (Carnivore)
  985. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  986.
  987. [19:14] Well, that's one thing out of the way - the runes were useless! Nevertheless, credit was due in form of praise. "Good work, you two. We didn't summon an eldritch god."
  988.
  989. Though the creature's expansive approach was at least reminiscent of one. She wondered, for some strange reason (call it an intrusive thought)--
  990.
  991. --did a bite or two count as dining on flesh?
  992.
  993. "We haven't!
  994.
  995. But you're welcome to tell us all about it."
  996. (Ixcatzin)
  997. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  998.
  999. [19:15] The goosebumps eventually faded as he started to regulate his heartbeat. The cold eventually faded as he started to regulate his body heat. And as he pulled the last frosted crystal stuck to his hair, Se-Young nearly left his skeleton the way he back-pedalled so hard.
  1000.
1001. He screamed internally while his eyes widened at the...whatever that is! And the way it spoke! The things that it spoke!
  1002.
1003. "I--" he swallowed dryly, then cleared his throat. "I know a performer when I see one. I don't dislike a macabre show, but I do dislike competition."
  1004.
1005. Se-Young stood beside Shining Sparkle, wholly intent on standing up to both parties.
  1006.
1007. "If you're about to tell a poor joke, know that I won't be so receptive to it.
  1008.
1009. But tell it anyway, on the off chance the punchline is good."
  1010. (Kim Se-young)
  1011. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1012.
  1013. [19:15] * You have been awarded 3 Roleplay Points! *
1014. [19:15] "Ah. Tono, perhaps we should finish these lat-"
  1015.
1016. The former shaman's voice is cut off by the sound of some horrid creature's own voice. Which swiftly causes the man to turn to face the beast. "My, you're an ugly one."
  1017.
1018. That would surely get him slapped around later, but until that happened, those words left his lips with no regrets. Though a brow would be quirked as the strange creature's influence began to spread across some of his tribesmen.
  1019.
1020. "By the spirits, what-" Then he sees his sister among those that had been caught under the influence by the creature.
  1021.
  1022. "Release her. Now."
  1023. (Gou Meztin)
  1024. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1025.
1026. [19:15] Welcome to the Archipelago!
  1027.
1028. The Kraken may have chosen you..
  1029.
1030. The words are eerie, and definitely don't make him feel any better as the Keeper speaks. His grip on his staff actually ends up tightening as he glares.
  1031.
1032. "We are not your fans. We are here to help heal the land, to appease the spirits," the Taiyang spoke, "and, uh, what's at the bottom of the ocean, you said?"
  1033. (Feiyan Taiyang)
  1034. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1035.
1036. [19:17] The figure at the bottom of the sea.
  1037.
1038. She had heard about it, as it were! Perhaps one of the few beastkin that the sirenia had indulged such information to, so far. Rumours of their violent dead god and the promise that they all held themselves to.
  1039.
1040. Not that she had the opportunity to tell anyone. Perhaps her prior knowledge was why she would feel the sudden allure. Her body moved of its own accord, face twisting from confusion into a deep scowl.
  1041.
1042. For what reason were those whispers so strong? She'd given up on pleasure in her vengeance long ago- it had been an exercise in futility...
  1043.
1044. Perhaps, there was still a part of her that didn't want to let go of the idea.
  1045. (Yaretzi Meztin)
  1046. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1047.
1048. [19:22] "Nonono, girl! You're at the wrong show!"
  1049.
1050. An immediate TWHACK of his floppy arm knocked against the side of the girl's head, making her spin in place if she doesn't catch herself in that strange, fever-like state that compelled her forward.
  1051.
  1052. "Now that's the ticket!"
  1053.
1054. Instead, the blight finds its clutches upon Jani -- Someone who had murder on her mind, who wished to revel in all of the death and destruction that Saekanis could bring.
  1055.
1056. "Having to settle for a rabbit is a shame, but sometimes that's where the dice lands!"
  1057.
1058. The cackling of the creature is loud and rude, its tongue gyrating with the high-pithced noises, drool and all. Floating up and over to glance to a few of those present, his upside smile becomes a frown... Which, depending on your point of view, looked more like a smile than his original expresion.
  1059.
  1060.
1061. "To appease the spirits? Is that so? Like the last batch of beastkin that came here. Now they're our friendly zombies, and ah- yes- ooh!"
  1062.
1063. Shadows twist and spin around the skull keeper, taking the shape of various forms, then there's a flash of color that illuminates the figures-- It's a battle between the undead and... sirenians, happening right now, right at this very second.
  1064.
  1065.
1066. "Nonono. Saekanis gave us this. Death. No light-- not the other. Come, join the show, all of you, please! Pretty please?"
  1067. (Skull Keeper)
  1068. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1069.
1070. [19:28] Tono'tli did not like this creature, not one bit. They loved to talk, which was good. But they were condescending and cocky, and arrogant, and all the things Tono'tli hated in a person. It reminded him of the NOBLES quite frankly.
  1071.
1072. The flow of the conversation isn't followed and he didn't quite care for it. He'd left it to his leaders to sort out. But the few things he did pick up on, well? They were quite horrible to hear.
  1073.
1074. "Tono not like this show. Only one thing for you," He calls over towards it, reaching into his ruck-sack to pull out fresh fruit.
  1075.
1076. "Booo!" He shouts, lobbing the fruit straight towards the creature.
  1077. (Tono`tli)
  1078. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1079.
1080. [19:28] His sister, suddenly under the influence of the Skull Keeper, Carnivore's movement caught within his gaze too as the pair joined the side of the being that had continued to speak.
  1081.
1082. And yet, it appears his sister was thrown to the side, in place of Jani. A frown further stretched, as shadows twisted and a flash sparked the picture of familiar faces.
  1083.
1084. Sirenians facing off against undead, but more specifically past tribals that had pilgrimed out to appease the spirits.
  1085.
  1086. "You."
  1087.
1088. "You are no friend of the Moxtli."
  1089.
1090. Talacael's bow was drawn. The intrusion of the minds of his tribesmen had already sparked his own hostility, and the image showed that looked to sap away at the groups morale further solidified his decision.
  1091.
1092. An arrow formed, mana warped within a poisonous touch as he rose his bow, striking forth with the first blow.
  1093.
1094. "Attack. Do not hold anything back against this monster, it looks to invade your minds, to take control of you and force you against your will to fight against your own kin!"
  1095.
1096. "Ignore it's words, strike. We are not alone on this island, the being before us is merely an obstruction to our goal. Those past beastkin that arrived will be put to rest, their past goal recognized through our actions."
  1097.
1098. And with that, the chieftain struck.
  1099. (Talacael Meztin)
  1100. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1101.
1102. [19:29] Now it'd done it. Of all the people to get taken on into the creature's influence, she hadn't expected one of her own. She mimes rolling up her sleeves due to lacking any.
  1103.
1104. "Hey, hey, HEY! That's my rabbit you're messing with!" Shining Sparkle indignantly shouts out, arms waving from the background.
  1105.
1106. Her staff is yanked free from her back and given a twirl. The longer her people remained ensnared like this, the worse off she worried they'd be. Sand twists and collects together, assembling...
  1107.
1108. And is thrown at the creature's face in hopes of momentarily blinding it.
  1109.
1110. Talacael's order had been given.
  1111. (Shining Sparkle)
  1112. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1113.
1114. [19:29] Katash watches on at the creature whisks around- responding to our answers. it didn't seem pleased with any answer we gave, but it's form just kept shifting around. It made the young kitsune very uncomfortable. He didn't feel like he was in the position to make choices for the rest of them so he looked on quietly. However the look of anger still sat on his face.
  1115.
1116. For some reason, the rabbit Jani just started walking to the creature, joining it's side... Carnivore looks the same too, her eyes looking as empty as the island. They don't seem right- is this his plan when he's referring to zombies?
  1117.
1118. Katash didn't like it, taking a more aggressive stance, he doesn't know what's going on exactly but he won't be taken without a fight.
  1119.
1120. "I'm not liking this thing at all, don't think anything here can be trusted..."
  1121. (Katash)
  1122. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1123.
  1124. [19:29] "Appease the spirits ..."
  1125.
1126. Nori reflected on the short story told by the creature. If other beastkin walked these lands, what could we do differently to not end up like them?
  1127. (Nori)
  1128. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1129.
1130. [19:29] Her grip had turned white further with every word that monster spoke, the disgusting noises it made making her snarl. Zombies..? Undead..? The Shaman would draw her arm back in a roar, her whip looping over her head she prepared to attack.
  1131.
1132. "YOU WOULD DARE DESECRATE THEIR SPIRITS?!" Her voice exploding outwards as blood tore it's way from her fingertips, extending her whip vastly as she lashed it directly at the thing's eye. She would not stand for such sacrilege, especially not upon the bodies of her people.
  1133.
1134. Those golden eyes briefly noting it was their Sirenian allies who were forced to fight them, something she couldn't blame them for. Though hopefully they could put them to rest.
  1135.
1136. "MOXTLI! Strike with everything you have, destroy every last trace of the thing before you." They could even free their Tribemates if they were fast enough, the Spirit Dancer's rage a palpable presence asher rhythmic movements tapped into the spiritual realm.
  1137. (D'noxa Aba)
  1138. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1139.
1140. [19:30] "Saekanis wouldn't want beastkin to be stuck as... zombies. He'd want them dead outright, to continue the cycle. But I guess this is another example of imbalance, right Shaman Aba?"
  1141.
  1142. Similar to the Ruins.
  1143.
1144. There is a brief period of hesitation while he waits to hear their leader's thoughts on the matter, but his own seem to be cemented regardless.
  1145.
1146. "We'll free our ensnared tribemates and correct this imbalance. I've been meaning to hit Carnivore over the head for a while at any rate." An admission he could not help but speak out.
  1147.
1148. The Skull Keeper's methods seemed to be similar to the Gutterrunner. Neither could be allowed to exist.
  1149. (Itzcali)
  1150. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1151.
1152. [19:30] Eiji's manasaber is held in a tightened grip. Another's turn and, in truth, he can't help but feel a slight bit of remorse for attacking the rabbit. Grinding his sharpened teeth together for a time he'd eye the floating beast, Jani, and Carnivore.
  1153.
1154. One of three were more flammable compared to the beast.
  1155.
1156. "Apologies my dear friend..! But I have a spotlight to dance in, and sadly the dead have no light to use! There's no fun in a performer's act if it's like THAT now is there..?"
  1157.
1158. Regardless, the chamber of the weapon clicks to its final cylinder. A curious gaze is given towards it as he feels that fire build up in his chest. What pulls him from such a small, confused stupor is the fissile material that builds up in that chamber!
  1159.
1160. Maddened cackles spill forth as his dear Chieftain fires off the first shot. "Fight, fight, fight! Allow me to show you an EXPLOSIVE performance..!" And as he levels his manasaber he'd squeeze the trigger towards Carnivore first.
  1161.
1162. What else is better fuel for a fire than plant life, after all?
  1163.
  1164. BANG!
  1165. (Eiji)
  1166. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1167.
1168. [19:30] Everything about this creature was repulsive.
  1169.
1170. "Disgusting." He'd mutter, right in time to hear his brother sound out the order to attack it. "Perfect.' Without an ounce of hesitation, the cosmic mana that enshrouded him would surge forth, and towards the hideous beast. The words that had parted from the creature's lips, would be put to the side for now.
  1171.
1172. At least until it was slain.
  1173.
1174. From the light of his cosmic magic, the very shadows that were cast in their wake would begin to move, to take action against the monster.
  1175.
1176. "Spirits guide your blows, tribesmen. Let's take this thing down quickly."
  1177.
1178. Hopefully then their tribesmen would return to normal.
  1179. (Gou Meztin)
  1180. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1181.
1182. [19:30] The darkness that threatened her thoughts-
  1183.
1184. It was feeble. Her own savagery hadn't descended so far. There was too much conflict in her heart. Even if no one in the tribe called out to her (except Gou thanks bro), she'd return to sanity on her own.
  1185.
1186. Well, with the help of a tentacle smack, that is. The girl spun in place before catching herself. Her head shook, teeth grit. That thick miasma was dispelled, in favour of a much easier target.
  1187.
1188. "... Stupid," she'd mutter, to nobody in particular. Her hands curled into fists.
  1189.
1190. Others made their stance clear, threw their speeches, declared boldly their contempt and bravery.
  1191.
1192. Yaretzi wasn't talkative like that. She just tore things apart.
  1193. (Yaretzi Meztin)
  1194. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1195.
1196. [19:31] "Oh. Oh! Zombies? So the Big Guy is a underwater zombie?"
  1197.
1198. She couldn't be anymore incorrect with that smile of hers. What about the Beastkin that the figure claimed to have died? She watched him twirl the girl he had captured.
  1199.
1200. Ter would hear the others go against the Skull Keeper. Funny. She thought the show was entertaining. If the others wanted to fight, well, she had to assist. It was required. Maybe this friend of his 'the Big Guy' would be fun to speak with too.
  1201. (Ter Lunae Vine)
  1202. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1203.
1204. [19:31] "Yeah, but you're forgetting about his sister...!"
  1205.
1206. Death, life, the natural cycle of things - these were what Saekanis and Asena represented. To have this creature defame and defile the very balance that they represented was exactly what the Moxtli were there to prevent and push against.
  1207.
  1208. time to rumble
  1209. (Ixcatzin)
  1210. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1211.
1212. [19:31] Feiyan watched as two were compelled to aid the creature, and then..
  1213.
1214. One is taken back, and another is stolen. He watches wordlessly, though he tries to reach out to no avail. In his right hand, the stave is gripped even tighter.
  1215.
1216. Kilik may not have been here tonight, but he had armed some of them in order to bring peace to this island.
  1217.
1218. "Release them. Now." He nearly hissed. His voice was one among many, but it was still a voice. Moonlight continued to pulsate off of his form, breathing power into his circuits as he glared down the creature. His palm raised, the Kitsune shutting his eyes before the light began to peel off of his form..
  1219.
1220. Creating a sphere above his head, not unlike the moon that hung in the sky.
  1221.
1222. "I've decided that you need to perish for what you've done, so hear my words now.
  1223.
  1224. Magical Arts: Moonlit Glare!"
  1225.
1226. From the sphere oflight that he creates, a radiant blast of cold moonlight fires forward, aiming to defeat the creature with a focused, potent blast of magic.
  1227. (Feiyan Taiyang)
  1228. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1229.
1230. [19:31] {Item} You picked up Levitation Potion..
1231. [19:32] It took a while for the shock to settle in, as his eyes followed Yaretzi as she is stuck against the head. He blink and stared at her with his mouth agape before he takes a step back.
  1232.
1233. "Yikes! And I thought the troupe was bad. I've heard of enrapturing the audience but I think this is too much."
  1234.
1235. The young author groaned as he drew his broken blade once more, pulling the moisture from the air around them to form the Zero Form: Water Blade technique!
  1236.
1237. It doesn't actually have a name, I'm not Feiyan.
  1238.
1239. At the chieftain's call, Se-Young readied himself as frost solidified the water into a practical blade.
  1240.
1241. "Okay, time to earn your stripes, you freakish slimy thing, you! The only true performer is me, the top class actor Kim Se-Young!"
  1242. (Kim Se-young)
  1243. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1244.
1245. [19:35] {Item} You picked up Levitation Potion. Dropped by Itzcali..
1246. [19:36] {NARRATION} (Beginning in roughly a minute, will CD!)
1247. [19:36] The throbbing only grew in intensity as the Keeper spoke. Without much warning, Jani slowly drifted over to the other side.
  1248.
1249. Would that.. really be surprising? She openly talks about the things she enjoys, people have undoubtedly heard her in the plaza speaking of how she enjoys torturing others.
  1250.
1251. A peculiar sound filled the air, one stemming from Jani. A sound unfamiliar to most, the angered hiss.. OF A RABBIT!
  1252.
1253. The crystals that twisted around her seemed to shift, taking on more of a red hue, and once the hiss had finished, her stomach growled loudly.
  1254.
1255. Her eyes seemed to glaze over, black splotches appearing within them.
  1256.
1257. "Lay down little pets, make it easy on yourself." She then began to cackle.
  1258.
1259. The moment everyone began to battle? The ground beneath turned violently against them.
  1260.
1261. A sing-songy tune filled the air, stemming from Jani. It sounded more like a cruel children's tune than anything though.
  1262.
1263. "The itzy bitzy Moxtli climbed up the water spout, down came the pain, and knocked them all right out.
  1264.
1265. Out came the knife and she began to slice, then down they all went, wet and nice."
  1266. (Jani)
  1267. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1268.
  1269. [19:39] {NARRATION} (Narrating)
1270. [19:41] An expression of disgust was present on the nagual's countenance as he stared down the pack of reanimated ookami. They were less fortunate, taken and gone without a trace. Their spirits were trapped on this plane, forced to follow this monstrosity's whim.
  1271.
1272. In his rage, Jani's departure remains unnoticed. She was walking towards the Skull Keeper, evidently entranced.
  1273.
1274. Immediately, his sword is swung into the air. His legs primed while shadows encompassed his form.
  1275.
1276. "Strike it down! It will not take anymore of our people!"
  1277.
1278. A visceral shout far greater than any he's uttered before. Forth he lunged in a display of bravery in hopes that it'd snuff any cowardice felt among their ranks.
  1279. (Itzul)
  1280. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1281.
1282. [19:42] {NARRATION} The strange, oversized gargoyle flew overhead and made use of the blight; calling on it to fester the land, ever present as it twisted the minds of its newly annointed pawns and took ahold of them briefly.
  1283.
1284. Its howling laughter was a cackle throughout the twisted forest, disappearing and emerging at will.
  1285.
1286. But even the blessings of the Deep One did not make it immortal, with its blood dripping in a purple ooze each time one of the beastkin tore into it, letting pieces of flesh drop-
  1287.
1288. -until the killing blow was finally struck.
  1289.
  1290.
1291. Now a mangled mess of flesh on the floor, the group can find their reprieve and the shaman(s) can enact their cleansing rites. As they do so, they'll also find various treasures from the last tribe who attempted to appease the corruption present on the isle.
1292. [19:46] A battle that forced them to fight against their own kin, a harsh look emitting from emerald eyes as he fought alongside his tribesmen against the Skull Keeper that had seemed to warp the surroundings into its own domain.
  1293.
1294. Until finally it fell, its howling laughter the dying croak of the beast as its form was mangled, falling to the ground and the battle came to an end, his eyes instantly moving towards Carnivore and Jani.
  1295.
1296. "Make sure those two are not underneath the beasts control, no lasting effects. Not when we're so far from the tribes to properly give them medical aid."
  1297.
1298. A lasting look remained on the pair that had been influenced, before his attention moved around the area.
  1299.
1300. "D'noxa, Gou, and the apprentices should handle the rites. The rest begin gathering all the items around, gather them up here and we'll go through them all after ensuring nothing is tainted."
  1301.
1302. Talacael remained, eyes surveying the surroundings on the off chance that they were assaulted once more.
  1303. (Talacael Meztin)
  1304. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1305.
1306. [19:46] Ixcatzin swipes an array of droplets from her face. It was done in.
  1307.
1308. Through thin, wispy breaths, her voice carries over to Gou. "Try again."
  1309. (Ixcatzin)
  1310. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1311.
1312. [19:48] As was true for Jani, she never backed down. Even with all her tribesmates facing her, what did she do? She charged right into the middle of all of them, to hell with the consequences, she was unstoppable!
  1313.
1314. She shimmered briefly, before a huge shockwave shot outwards from her directly into every single person around her, littering their body with small glass-like fragments of her crystals.
  1315.
1316. The earth twisted and turned, striking out at everyone around as a wall of crystals rose up, however once that wall had fallen? The group had focused down Jani enough so that she simply toppled over.
  1317.
1318. Once the taint had been broken due to the Skull Keeper being beaten down, Jani got to her feet. She laughed joyously as she looked at everyone.
  1319.
1320. "Well that was fun! Look! None of you died this time!" No apology, no remorse, it's a fight. If she felt bad about fighting her tribemates, what kind of person would she be?
  1321. (Jani)
  1322. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1323.
1324. [19:48] Ter got up with a groan. She was sure she fainted just then. She pushed herself up with a daze. That was ... a doozy. The rabbit got up to see the mangled body of the Skull Keeper, "He wasn't bad. Misguided?" For the most part, she was only making this judgement off of his entertainer persona.
  1325.
1326. Then her eyes glimmered as she saw more than flesh in the remains of the Skull Keeper. "If anyone finds something shiny, can you give it to me? What's the carat size? Colour? What about the cut?"
  1327.
1328. Give them a break, Ter, the fight ended.
  1329.
1330. Though, seeing as these were the belongings of their ancestors, it's likely that the automatic answer to her many questions is 'no'.
  1331. (Ter Lunae Vine)
  1332. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1333.
1334. [19:48] Beckoned, and cast aside. It was remniscent of something she'd heard long ago, trivia that clung to her heart like a bandage. The star, upturned. Faithless, stumbling...
  1335.
1336. Was this another representation of that? Even here, there was some sort of doubt that everybody but her was alerted to?
  1337.
1338. It didn't matter. Switching off her thoughts was as easy as pulling a lever, and she was ready to fight. With so many trained beastkin present they could bring the disgusting creature down with hit and run tactics, encircling it and bleeding it like a massive boar.
  1339.
1340. Beating the crap out of her two tribemates also held absolutely zero hesitation.
  1341. (Yaretzi Meztin)
  1342. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1343.
1344. [19:48] "Foul creature," he continued, "You made a mistake. You toil with the wrong tribe." Feiyan declared, waving his stave as his spells are casted, shouting the names of these spells to give life to his magic.
  1345.
1346. Peculiar, though the way he chose to do it. In the meantime, he goes to take down another of the Tribesman- trying to make their escape, Feiyan merely sends forth a charging glacier of ice magic to subdue Carnivore and bring them back to the rest of their tribe.
  1347.
1348. "His influence is- intoxicating, I'm sure. Steel your mind for the next battle, kin." He murmured.
  1349.
1350. Now he came to the rest of the group-- intent on helping gather any treasure (and seeing if there would be any for himself).
  1351. (Feiyan Taiyang)
  1352. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1353.
1354. [19:49] The moment the body dropped, Carnivore screamed against the wrathful fires and flames that surrounded her, lashing out with such force that they were extinguished. Every single remainder of her children were directed onto the mangled corpse, as the Dryad simply went absolutely berserk on the body.
  1355.
1356. Her screaming would not stop as she mutilated the already dead body. She felt absolutely violated by the being that had possessed her mind, and had some desperate need to gain some semblance of control over the monster - Even her own injuries came second to doing as much damage to it as possible.
  1357.
1358. Hate-filled tears rolled down her face. She heaved with a sob, casting her hands out, as two enormous vines grabbed the remainder of the Skull Keeper's body. It was twisted, and ripped in half, and at last she seemed to settle down. Her anger subsided, only leaving the hollow feeling of having been violated in such a deep way.
  1359.
1360. "I- I-..." She stuttered, trying to form words.
  1361. (Carnivore)
  1362. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1363.
1364. [19:50] Rays of cosmic mana, and tendrils of shadow would pierce away at the strange gargoyle creature's flesh, and soon that maddening cackle of it's would be silenced.
  1365.
1366. Thank the spirits for that.
  1367.
1368. The moment the creature had fallen, Gou would immediately shout out towards Tono. "Right. Tono, let's get back to work." The shaman rushed back over towards the incomplete sigils. "I know, I know, Ixcatzin." He roared out.
  1369.
1370. This time they'd finish the runes. He was sure of it.
  1371.
1372. The eyes of the shaman would slowly begin to close, as he began to focus himself. That connection he's had with the spirit's he's had since birth would slowly, but surely he'd tap into it once more, as wisps of cyan energy began to overtake his eyes, and the moment they opened...
  1373.
  1374. He could see it.
  1375.
1376. Exactly what the runes used to look like. "Tono! I need you to finish the engravements." He'd call out. "Just follow my instructions. I believe in you." With that, the former shaman would get to work pointing out where exactly his student should draw the engravements.
  1377.
1378. After all, they were the artificer, and not him.
  1379.
1380. "If we work together, we can do this with ease."
  1381. (Gou Meztin)
  1382. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1383.
1384. [19:50] The thing eventually fell beneath the weight of the assault they thrust upon it, her blazing rage fueling every last strike until it was bested.. It's flesh rended and torn apart until it was indeed dead.
  1385.
1386. Breathing deeply she glances about, taking in the sights and getting her bearings for a moment before she spoke. Giving instructions. "My people, we must cleanse this place. I ask you for something you've likely all given throughout your lives.. your blood." The Spirit Dancer beginning to shift and move.
  1387.
1388. "Use your wounds, slash your palms, and I will call upon our collective strength to aid Gou in cleansing this land." To which she would use her hemomancy to call upon the offered scarlet fluids, like so many sanguine ribbons they swirled in the air around her.
  1389.
1390. With every movement she attuned herself to the spiritual world further, calling upon the corrupted Spirits that had been afflicted by this blight, her intentions clear as hermagic empowered the blood. Like when a person was sick, they would seek medicine.
  1391.
1392. Hopefully those corrupted entities would sense what she offered, the sheer power within the blood of a majority of the Moxtli would surely be enough. The Shaman directing her movements in a furious dance that spoke of her rage at their mistreatment, but also her sincerity.
  1393.
1394. Slowly that blood began to disappear, directed into the ground, or it simply evaporated as it was consumed... Hopefully it would be enough.
  1395. (D'noxa Aba)
  1396. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1397.
1398. [19:51] Eiji by all means is caught in a maddened state as he fires off the cylinders one by one towards Carnivore. Odd, perhaps, to the tribesmen that he only paid heed to their true target after Carnivore is out of commission.
  1399.
1400. All the Kitsune wanted to do was see something burn. Was it that bad?
  1401.
1402. Amidst the chaos that ensued he can only get a few good shots in on the Dryad-- Grinning maliciously all the while as he took in the scent of burning wood and iron.
  1403.
1404. Once the Dryad is out of commission? His ire is placed solely on the gargoyle. Howling and cackling away as he cleaved and shot at the blessed of the Deep One he'd aid in its defeat. Once it's nothing more than a pile he'd fall into his typical chuckle-fit state.
  1405.
1406. It all felt so right.
  1407.
1408. On Talacael's mark, however, he'd immediately level the barrel of his manasaber towards the Dryad. "Oh, oh..qes More reason to burn them..?" He'd query with a cursory glance towards the woman. Merely waiting for the coming orders from there he'd idly graze his finger over the trigger...
  1409.
1410. A slash of a palm was replicated, however, before he goes back to training that saber on Carnivore. If D'noxa needed his blood so be it. "… So that's what they eat..." Eiji murmured to himself.
  1411. (Eiji)
  1412. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1413.
1414. [19:51] Unlike what happened at the coast, Nori managed to run faster and tried to attack the creature with some rocks and insults, hoping to not be completly useless.
  1415.
1416. However, after a few minutes into the battle, Nori ended up getting lost and running behind one of her colleagues for protection.
  1417.
1418. What he did not expect was to see maliciousness in the eyes of his companions, as if some of them were trying to kill him.
  1419.
1420. Nori was unable to recognize whether they were possessed or simply annoyed by his uselessness.
  1421. (Nori)
  1422. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1423.
1424. [19:52] From the very beginning, she set out to her goal- subduing Jani. No matter what terrible impulses the girl felt in her heart, Shining Sparkle was convinced that she needed to be contained. Heaps of sand are poured upon her and, with the aid of her nearby allies, she's swiftly and effectively subdued with minimal damage.
  1425.
1426. That left the obnoxious beast to deal with.
  1427.
1428. She does what she can to aid her people and manages to stay standing through it all. Eventually, it was successfully felled with a surprising lack of casualties on her side.
  1429.
1430. A closed fist is tossed in the air.
  1431.
  1432. "Win-win!"
  1433.
1434. Upon hearing D'noxa's orders, she wastes no time in yanking off a glove. A sharp blade of water slides across it and blood is subsequently offered up without complaint.
  1435.
1436. It stung, but... she had to go help collect treasures now.
  1437. (Shining Sparkle)
  1438. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1439.
1440. [19:52] Jani looks over to D'Noxa and nods. No words needed, it was gonna get bloody! A crystal dagger is formed before she dashes it across her palm, holding it out expectantly.
  1441. (Jani)
  1442. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1443.
1444. [19:53] He was really feeling that fight- the weird creature was all talk! At least, to the kitsune it was. It's attacks were confusing and dazzling- but the world traveling Katash has seem a lot and knew how to dance around a lot of magic.
  1445.
1446. Tossing flames and explosions around the creature, the kitsune seemed to just flow around the wet battlefield. The creature was outmatched by the magi of Mox, and when it seemed weak he moved in.
  1447.
1448. "HAAYAAAAAAH!" With a wide swipe of the kitunes arm, a large trail of fire followed along, coating the floor in flame. It was enough to bring the creature down, reducing it into a pile of flesh on the ground.
  1449.
1450. "I didn't know they can bleed... if it bleeds it can die." He says, looking back. Speaking of blood, he'd turn to D'noxa Aba. "Blood? Sure, have as much as you need..." Not even sure how much is too much but... he wanted to be useful!
  1451. (Katash)
  1452. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1453.
1454. [19:53] This was the worst case scenario in Tono's mind. Tribesman fighting against tribesman, traitors and yet not at the same time. He felt sorry for having to hurt them but also couldn't allow them to hurt him in turn, thus he had to fight on. To use the full extent of his abilities without causing serious injuries to either pair.
  1455.
1456. It only served to infuriate him more against the creature. An abomination that played on ones desires and twisted them for its own sick and twisted game. It was unforgivable. And he would have to destroy it.
  1457.
1458. The battle was a gruelling one, but as a collective they were able to bring down the mighty beast. And all that remained was for the creature to be cleansed of its taint. To be allowed the freedom it no doubt truly sought.
  1459.
1460. He looks to the Shamans then. To his teacher. Awaiting a command or following after their lead. Something Gou is quick to shout towards him.
  1461.
1462. "R-Right!" He shouts back, following after him.
  1463.
1464. He listens carefully to the older man, carving into the floors where the runes once were and completing the engravements. His careful in his motions, intent on not messing anything up for his teacher. And as long as he followed their words, he shouldn't. Right?
  1465.
  1466. "Is this good enough?"
  1467. (Tono`tli)
  1468. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1469.
1470. [19:53] "First Form Blade: Frosted Stained Glass!"
  1471.
1472. Two fingers slide along the blade of ice, sending forth a veritable concentration of ice to inhibit the demon's movements. Aimed, of course, at its wings.
  1473.
1474. "I am the top class actor, look at me, I'm Feiyan!" He blustered. "For all it's worth," he pressed against the back of the kitsune in question. "I don't approve of you being Marika's wife."
  1475.
1476. And with that cryptic comment said, he rejoined the fray, emboldened Itzul's warcry.
  1477.
1478. The author ran ahead, leaving his two brainwashed tribemates to be dealt with. Respectfully, it would be better if familiar faces mopped the floor with them.
  1479.
1480. A battle that felt like an ordeal and a half was finally finished. Fighting alongside this many people felt...not bad. Then once the dust settled, Se-Young heeded the head shaman's request of offering.
  1481.
1482. Using what little blade is left to slide a cut across his palm, he squeezed his hand into a fist to allow the blood to drop along the ground.
  1483.
1484. Though this might sound uncharacteristic of him, Se-Young retained a sense of loyal to the tribe. It was praxis. But anyone who knew him well enough would understand his compliance.
  1485.
1486. A blood offering has been made.
  1487. (Kim Se-young)
  1488. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1489.
1490. [19:54] With the full might of the Moxtli Tribes, Itzcali was certain that they could overcome any threat. Which may have been why he fought against the wretched abomination above them without holding anything back.
  1491.
1492. Just from his short time as an apprentice shaman and spiritualist, he had picked up a feel for the world around him. About the thin line between the overbearing chaos that Saekanis endorsed, and the Order that Asena would see brought to all of the lands.
  1493.
1494. More importantly, he had obtained a very general idea of how to appease them.
  1495.
1496. Of all the sacrifices that a blessed could offer, blood was the most potent. Which is why his studying glance to the Shaman Aba tells him all that he needs to know.
  1497.
1498. A calm hand waves both Jani and Carnivore's doubts off as they come back to their senses, only for the index nail on his left hand to grow into a claw.
  1499.
1500. "Cleansing the area to adhere to the balance? Got it."
  1501.
1502. And that same claw digs into and across his palm, slitting deep enough to allow blood to flow freely from it and to the area that their Head Shaman had designated.
  1503.
1504. "May the trapped souls here find their peace. But if the Deep One gave power to an entity like this, I'm certain there are worse things waiting for us as we go deeper in." He could only wonder how their allies in the Deep Company were fairing.
  1505. (Itzcali)
  1506. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1507.
1508. [19:55] Itzul traversed the desecrated lands at an impeccable speed. To the untrained eye, he was nothing more than a blur; an umbral enigma slicing through the entrapped spirits of their brethren.
  1509.
1510. A flash of empathy appearing in his irises as they darted across the plagued meadow. While others held no qualms when incapacitating her, he sought to protect her. The resistance she made was admirable, but futile in the end. She was tossed aside by the magics of her former allies.
  1511.
1512. In a swift scoop, he carried the unconscious lapine off and away from the impending threat. Shaking her until she came to.
  1513.
1514. "Jani. Wake the fuck up. Please.."
  1515. (Itzul)
  1516. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1517.
1518. [19:55] {NARRATION} The shamans call upon the blood of the others to enact their rite, ebginning a swaying dance of the elements that soothes the spirits of the land. Like fireflies in motion wisps of silvery mana twirl around them all, spreading outward; once entrapped spirts become tangible and float up, drifting off to the netherworld...
  1519.
1520. The grass took to a shade greener in some places.
  1521.
1522. Additionally, those present were likely to stumble upon various treasures as they made their way through--all of which the guardian purposely hoarded for the sake of vanity. Golden coins, precious metals, and even soulsteel that was meant to purposed for the day of cleaning [do a /random 1-100, if 70+ you get lucky. jani/carnivore excluded unfortunately ..]
1523. [19:55] Ter Lunae Vine says, "So close"
1524. [19:56] Amidst their attempts to properly cleanse, the Kitsune's claws come from his hands, moving to cut upon his hand and offer his blood for D'noxa and Gou's cleansing, too.
  1525.
1526. It was the best that he could give, though he in truth knew little of what he was helping.
  1527.
1528. There was much to learn, and little that he knew.
  1529. (Feiyan Taiyang)
  1530. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1531.
1532. [19:58] Kim Se-young says, "Ahh, were I a lucky man I'd've gotten a present for my sweet Kilik."
  1533. [19:58] Katash says, "..."
1534. [19:59] Shining Sparkle exclaims, "We're twigs in the tree! Don't mind it!"
1535. [19:59] Ter Lunae Vine says, "Oh. There're no gems."
1536. [19:59] {NARRATION} Moving through the dense forest, it was time to reunite with their neighbours... (follow the leader)
1537. [20:00] Caddock grips Katja, placing them down in casual motion.
  1538.
1539. "nah chill tha' fuck out"
  1540.
1541. He saunters forth, casually moving to open the chest. A trap? Surely not!
  1542. (Caddock Reave)
  1543. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1544.
1545. [20:00] {NARRATION} (You arrive after their RPs since they're finishing this scene)
1546. [20:00] Katja says, "No. I want to open it. "
1547. [20:00] Rushes to open the chest.
  1548. (Katja)
  1549. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1550.
1551. [20:00] Caddock Reave says, "Who cares who open it? Jus' open it wit' me if ya' wanna' be greedy."
  1552. [20:01] {NARRATION} Roll a 1d100 to determine your loot, pirates.
  1553. [20:01] Katja says, "FUCK"
  1554. [20:01] Ixcatzin says, "Wow."
1555. [20:02] Ixcatzin says, "I feel the weight of misfortune in this room"
  1556. [20:02] Ixcatzin says, "it's stifling"
1557. [20:02] Kim Se-young says, "I feel like crying for some reason...."
1558. [20:02] Gou Meztin says, "This is so sad."
1559. [20:02] Shining Sparkle exclaims, "Probalby because you're human!"
  1560. [20:02] Kim Se-young says, "Probalby..."
  1561. [20:02] Tono`tli says, "I'd cry too."
  1562. [20:02] Katja says, "I'm crying."
  1563. [20:02] Katja says, "I'm seething."
1564. [20:02] Jani says, "I'd cry if I were human."
1565. [20:02] Ixcatzin asks, "Do fish cry?"
1566. [20:03] Leibos takes a moment to catch his breath, before continuing onwards.
  1567.
1568. When they finally arrive at the remains of the fallen expedition, he takes a moment to survey the immediate surrounding. Though the treasure chest looks as if it might've potentially been a trap, the remains of the group being left there would point to it NOT being one.
  1569.
1570. As such, Leibos trudges forward, shoves his sword in the gap of the chest, and moves to pry it open. "Let's see what's in here, shall we?"
  1571. (Leibos)
  1572. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1573.
1574. [20:03] Katja says, "Fishes never cry. "
1575. [20:03] Katash says, "...They just make more water..."
  1576. [20:03] Katja says, "Fishes? Sirens. "
1577. [20:03] Shining Sparkle exclaims, "Poetic!"
1578. [20:03] Katja says, "Sirens may cry. "
1579. [20:03] Katash asks, "What about devils?"
1580. [20:03] Katja says, "What about devils."
  1581. [20:03] Katja says, "They're stupid."
  1582. [20:03] Kim Se-young asks, "Devils aren't real?"
1583. [20:03] Shining Sparkle asks, "Don't they wail?"
1584. [20:03] The Quartermaster was naturally the first to arrive, given she'd being furthest ahead. As they reached the group of dead explorers, the chest marking itself as potential loot, Katja ran right past her.
  1585.
1586. "By tha Deep, Kat, tha damn thing could be trapped!"
  1587.
1588. It seemed like the Siren didn't care though, apparently attempting to break the lock. And then Leibos came to help. She stood about a step and a half back, close enough to have a look at what was inside, but far enough to jump out of the way if it were necessary.
  1589. (Anne orn Salis)
  1590. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1591.
1592. [20:03] Katja says, "You mean, they whale. "
1593. [20:03] Jani asks, "Who whales?"
  1594. [20:03] Shining Sparkle says, "..."
  1595. [20:03] Ixcatzin asks, "Aren't those banshees?"
1596. [20:04] Ixcatzin says, "--kill that one."
1597. [20:04] At last their efforts had produced something- Treasure, glorious treasure. There was often a common understanding on the division of plunder. The Captain had the right of opening the treasure- But it all went to the Quartermaster.
  1598.
1599. "Alrigh', Anne seems yer up again once th'Cap'n sorts through our gains." He asserted hoping that the sudden plunder would not stir any greedy and shifty desires from the crew.
  1600.
1601. "Then I think we ought divide shares once we return t' shore. It been a moment sent th'plunder were given to th'men an' they be gettin' righ' itchy t'spread their coin 'round Esshar."
  1602. (Murtock Reave)
  1603. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1604.
1605. [20:04] Shining Sparkle says, "I love it."
1606. [20:04] Leibos says, "Might be a trap, but whatever killed these guys left everything."
1607. [20:04] Ixcatzin says, "No smiling allowed."
1608. [20:04] Leibos says, "So might not."
1609. [20:04] Itzul says, "I was going to steal the sirenians' loot. But they didn't even get any."
1610. [20:04] Itzul asks, "Shitty pirates, aren't they?"
1611. [20:04] Katja says, "You can try."
1612. [20:05] Ter Lunae Vine says, "If you were getting any, I was going to ask for some! Maybe 80% but I'm fine with any."
1613. [20:05] {NARRATION} Murtock, barging in first - finds a handful of precious arcanium. Whilst the rest of the guild get their hands on more tame sums of gold!
1614. [20:05] Maertock would allow Katja the honors along with Caddock of reaving whatever wealth they pleased from the place. The shadowy captain of the Deep Company was more focused on sipping his rum and following along lazily and charismatically as a swashbuckler was like to do.
  1615.
1616. He'd put exactly 5% effort into trying to find any treasure, and it showed.
  1617.
1618. "Shame we didn't get a read on that pantera, could'a made a fine rug for the ship all things considered."
  1619.
1620. The captain was content. And a little smoky, he probably smelled pretty good right about now.
  1621. (Maertock Reave)
  1622. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1623.
1624. [20:05] Murtock promptly hands the Arcanium over the Anne like a proper goddamn pirate of honor.
  1625. (Murtock Reave)
  1626. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1627.
1628. [20:05] Murtock Reave says, "Tha' be a nice piece o' loot. Factor it inta me share, lass."
1629. [20:05] Anne orn Salis says, "Naturally."
1630. [20:06] Maertock Reave exclaims, "I need drugs and I need them now!"
1631. [20:06] Katja says, "Lets blow it on the loot crate, lads."
1632. [20:06] Katja says, "Lads? Friends."
1633. [20:06] Caddock Reave says, "AYE."
  1634. [20:06] Ixcatzin exclaims, "So - !"
1635. [20:06] Ixcatzin asks, "This island's pretty spooky, huh?"
1636. [20:06] Gou Meztin says, "Mhm."
1637. [20:06] Gou Meztin says, "Rather."
1638. [20:06] Katja says, "It was a fun time."
1639. [20:06] Caddock Reave says, "THIS PLACE FUCKIN' SUCKS."
  1640. [20:06] Jani says, "I'm still hungry."
1641. [20:06] Leibos says, "We had to fight a bunch'a cannibal tribesmen."
1642. [20:06] Murtock Reave says, "Ahoy thar, Moxtli."
1643. [20:06] Leibos asks, "What'd you run into?"
1644. [20:06] Gou Meztin says, "Got attacked by some weird fish things."
1645. [20:06] Katash exclaims, "What? I had to fight a spooky!"
1646. [20:06] Eiji exclaims, "Hello, hello..!"
1647. [20:06] Tono`tli says, "Can Tono stay here. Not wanting to go back on Boat."
1648. [20:06] Kim Se-young says, "Oh the usual spooks and frights."
1649. [20:07] Gou Meztin says, "Tono..."
1650. [20:07] Talacael Meztin says, "A kraken, and then some abomination."
1651. [20:07] Gou Meztin asks, "You'll be fine, okay?"
1652. [20:07] Maertock Reave says, "It's okay Tono, I'll carry you on my shoulders."
1653. [20:07] Leibos says, "Run into a panther, by any chance? We chased one, but it disappeared."
1654. [20:07] Maertock Reave says, "0% wetness guaranteed."
  1655. [20:07] Ixcatzin says, "A panth-"
  1656. [20:07] Ixcatzin says, "H."
1657. [20:07] Carnivore seems extremely stressed by the happenings earlier still.
  1658. (Carnivore)
  1659. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1660.
  1661. [20:07] Tono`tli says, "I-.."
1662. [20:07] Gou Meztin says, "Can't say we did."
1663. [20:07] Katja says, "Yeah. It tried to attack us."
1664. [20:07] Ixcatzin asks, "...How big?"
  1665. [20:07] Tono`tli says, "Fine."
1666. [20:07] Katja says, "Not too big, but bigger than me."
1667. [20:07] Itzcali offers an enthusiastic 'Lai-ho!' to the Deep Company.
  1668. (Itzcali)
  1669. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1670.
1671. [20:08] Caddock Reave says, "Pretty fuckin' big fer' a panther."
1672. [20:08] Shining Sparkle exclaims, "Hi, Caddock! Hi, Katja!"
  1673. [20:08] Ixcatzin says, "Could've been a demon."
1674. [20:08] Katja says, "Hello, Shining Sparkle. "
1675. [20:08] Ixcatzin says, "I don't think Ixchel would live in a dank, smelly place like this."
1676. [20:08] Murtock Reave says, "Aye, it were large. Black as th'night sky when th'stars be hidin'."
1677. [20:08] Katja says, "It was probably not that, because we beat it really easily."
1678. [20:08] Maertock would offer finger pistols to the tribes. This was a stick up. Or a greeting. Probably the latter.
  1679. (Maertock Reave)
  1680. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1681.
1682. [20:09] Katja says, "Like, really easily."
  1683. [20:09] Ixcatzin says, "buhbhubhuh."
  1684. [20:09] Ixcatzin says, "Disappointing."
1685. [20:09] Katja says, "I would even go as far as to say it was a wash."
  1686. [20:09] Gou Meztin says, "I see, I see."
1687. [20:09] Caddock Reave says, "Ye' need a wash."
1688. [20:09] Eiji offered a finger-gun back at Maertock. Its meaning? Up for debate.
  1689. (Eiji)
  1690. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1691.
1692. [20:09] Katja says, "So do you."
1693. [20:09] Murtock Reave says, "Ya kiddin' there, Katja? That were a blast."
1694. [20:09] Shining Sparkle exclaims, "Well you all use water magic, right? That's like... super-effective against cats!"
1695. [20:09] Shining Sparkle exclaims, "You told me so before!"
  1696. [20:09] Katja says, "I stabbed it. "
1697. [20:09] Ixcatzin says, "Panthers like swimming."
1698. [20:09] Maertock Reave says, "You raise a fair point."
1699. [20:09] Eiji exclaims, "As on does..!"
  1700. [20:09] Ixcatzin says, "I'd know."
1701. [20:09] Katash says, "...Damn, it's gunna be a buncha vapor..."
1702. [20:09] Caddock Reave says, "'Course. I got so much god damn blood on me."
  1703. [20:09] Eiji says, "... One, even."
1704. [20:10] Kim Se-young says, "Hey if the kraken is gone, and so is the panther..."
1705. [20:10] Kim Se-young asks, "Then where's the cave man?"
  1706. [20:10] Ixcatzin says, "Hm."
1707. [20:10] Shining Sparkle exclaims, "You're right here!"
1708. [20:10] Katash says, "Oh damn."
  1709. [20:10] Kim Se-young says, "OH"
1710. [20:10] Ixcatzin says, "What do we do now."
1711. [20:10] Eiji exclaims, "I'm looking at the caveman right now!"
1712. [20:10] Eiji stares at Kim.
  1713. (Eiji)
  1714. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1715.
1716. [20:10] Katja says, "Lets go to the bar. "
  1717. [20:10] Tono`tli says, "Hah."
1718. [20:10] Shining Sparkle asks, "Can it be a sand bar?"
1719. [20:10] Ixcatzin says, "Yes, before the gods declare that we fight."
1720. [20:10] Katja says, "Only if I can pay in sand dollars."
1721. [20:11] Maertock Reave says, "Really the true victory of this expedition was getting to see Tono. It is now the perfect adventure."
1722. [20:11] Shining Sparkle says, "Aha."
1723. [20:11] Ixcatzin says, "I wouldn't want to hurt my good friend, Caddock."
  1724. [20:11] Tono`tli says, "Ah, shucks."
1725. [20:11] Shining Sparkle exclaims, "Tono's our treasure! Our pride and joy!"
1726. [20:11] Katja says, "I also would not like to hurt you people. However, these hands are rated E for Everyone."
1727. [20:11] Tono`tli says, "Tono can't process all this praise."
1728. [20:11] Eiji exclaims, "Oooo, I like that one!"
  1729. [20:11] Eiji says, "I'm using that."
  1730. [20:11] Katja says, "No, don't."
  1731. [20:11] Katja says, "It's mine."
  1732. [20:11] Ixcatzin says, "please don't."
1733. [20:11] Eiji says, "Too late."
1734. [20:11] Murtock Reave says, "I like th'name. It sound like Tonak."
1735. [20:11] Murtock Reave says, "Mm. Tonak."
1736. [20:11] Gou Meztin asks, "Did you copyright it?"
1737. [20:11] Katja says, "Mm. Tonak."
1738. [20:11] Maertock Reave says, "Mmmmmm, Tonak."
1739. [20:11] Gou Meztin says, "Mm."
1740. [20:11] Katja says, "You have shown me Tonak."
1741. [20:11] Ixcatzin says, "Mm. Tonak."
1742. [20:11] Gou Meztin says, "Tonak."
1743. [20:11] Eiji says, "Mmm. Tonak."
1744. [20:11] Shining Sparkle exclaims, "Tonak!"
1745. [20:11] Caddock Reave says, "Mm. Tonak."
  1746. [20:11] Katash says, "...Tonak."
  1747. [20:11] Katja says, "Mmm. Tonak. "
1748. [20:11] Itzcali says, "Long live Tonak."
  1749. [20:11] Tono`tli says, "Mmm. Tonak."
1750. [20:11] Jani asks, "the human lover?"
  1751. [20:11] Kim Se-young says, "Hnnng...Tonak..."
  1752. [20:11] Katja says, "Oh. I know."
1753. [20:12] Katja says, "We should sing Chicken on a Raft."
  1754. [20:12] Eiji exclaims, "A classic!"
1755. [20:12] Maertock Reave says, "Okay we're sacrificing Katja."
1756. [20:12] Katash says, "I donno, I saw him throw hands with the boss of Arhyon..."
1757. [20:12] {NARRATION} And once they're done pillaging the corpses' treasure? They would rapidly take note of their appearent route. For the explorers were on their way out - where the spectre panther's footprints tread the exact opposite way.
  1758.
1759. Just ahead of the next batch of bushes, light is shed. A skull shaped cavern awaits them. Any pirate's gut would've worked as a radar.
  1760.
1761. That's both where the guild of greedy sailors had found their keep, as well as the lair of the restless panther.
  1762.
1763. From the skull's maw, and at a distance, it glances down upon them all... before it barges in, as an invitation.
  1764.
1765. Within - the deep company would rapidly take note, confirming their suspicions from earlier, having seen the docked ship from afar.
  1766.
  1767. They're not alone.
  1768. [20:16] Skull cave? Check.
  1769.
  1770. Rowdy pirates? Check.
  1771.
  1772. Angry spirits? Also check.
  1773.
1774. The Dryad sighed, steeling herself for whatever conflicts were about to come. Deeply shaken, she focused most of her energy to shield herself mentally should anything further attempt to take hold over her.
  1775. (Carnivore)
  1776. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1777.
1778. [20:16] Caddock's attention snaps. An immediate bloodlust overtakes him, crimson hues locked on as it beckons them forth, challenging and laying claim to it's own territory and whatever may lay within. A hefty grunt sounds out, the serrated edge of his shark-like teeth glimmering softly in the shine of what light the gathering offered through torch and aura the same.
  1779.
1780. "THER' THA' FUCKIN' THING IS."
  1781.
  1782. Fury.
  1783.
  1784. He begins to chase.
  1785. (Caddock Reave)
  1786. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1787.
1788. [20:17] Though she found little more than a whole lot of nothing, the rabbit continues bounding along without fear nor concern. So long as she could be helpful to her people? She didn't particularly care whether or not anything were gained from it.
  1789.
1790. The entertainer is glued somewhere in the back by her people with staff raised high and sand swirling about her.
  1791. (Shining Sparkle)
  1792. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1793.
1794. [20:17] The meeting of the Moxtli tribe is at the mouth of a large cave. True to the rumors, Katja's gut pointed her in the direction of danger, and here they had found it.
  1795.
1796. That, and a bunch of acquaintances.
  1797.
1798. "Hello, hello. I'm going for the Panther."
  1799.
1800. Rushing forward, bleeding from the stomach to guide her strikes. Katja would not stop until she had pierces the jaguar with her sword. Not really in a sense of bloodlust, but more in the fact that this was the most entertaining thing she had done all day.
  1801. (Katja)
  1802. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1803.
1804. [20:17] Jani Doesn't know what is going on, but she'd found her fish friends! Time to go with her tribe and... well by the way things have been going,, possibly kill one another!
  1805. (Jani)
  1806. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1807.
1808. [20:17] As he flicks the blood off his fingers, Se-Young opted to walk alongside Shining Sparkle, feeling a sense of...comraderie and even something of a rivalry within her.
  1809.
1810. But it's actually the carrot backpack that prompts him to quirk a brow.
  1811.
1812. "Well that's pretty cute. Did you make it yourself?"
  1813.
1814. Before his question could be answered, Caddock's bellowing echoed throughout the cave, causing him to flinch and turn nervously at the source of the sound.
  1815.
1816. "Ahhh. Please let it be something normal looking to beat."
  1817. (Kim Se-young)
  1818. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1819.
1820. [20:17] "Well, that isn't ominous at all."
  1821.
1822. The skull shaped cavern certainly was foreboding, and a little bit cliché as pirate tales go, but what did it matter?
  1823.
1824. The cavern seemed to be both the spot where the beast had run off to, as well as the place these other explorers had gotten their loot.
  1825.
1826. "Think there are any more treasure chests in that one?" He gave his mates a glance, then hefted his sword over his shoulder. There was still blood dripping from it, as well as blood splattered over his forearms, from all the cannibals, yet he didn't seem to care.
  1827.
1828. "Ho there!" A hand was raised at the Moxtli, when they were spotted from afar. "Hunting season's now open, and that fucking panther's going down. Let's go, folks."
  1829. (Leibos)
  1830. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1831.
1832. [20:17] The group stumbled upon familiar faces. Only recently had an image been shown to the group of the sirenians facing off against undead beastkin, Talacael's eyes scanned around the cavern as he stared towards those that he knew.
  1833.
1834. "I didn't expect to run into you lot around here, we've come to appease the spirits that were rampant. I believe you ran into.. past tribesmen?"
  1835.
1836. A question for the group as they arrived at the last destination, the gigantic skull that held such an allure for some reason, the maw evidently an entrance into the unknown.
  1837.
1838. Talacael's attention turned onto the entrance, his gaze flickering towards the pirate crew they had stumbled into before he took a step forward, feet digging into dirt as he made to enter the lair.
  1839.
1840. "Let's end this all then."
  1841.
1842. And off he went. Into the large cave.
  1843. (Talacael Meztin)
  1844. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1845.
1846. [20:17] The kitsune seems to be walking with his staff to his chest, occasionally moving it to luminate the area around him with it's flame. Always ready for the next fight, this kitsune was hardened. And there it was, a shadow panther. This is SO much more normal than the last things the group had to fight- at least this looked normal.
  1847.
1848. "Oh man... another one. I hope this is really worth it this time- they got gold!" He almost seemed to whine at the end all this fighting wasn't healthy! His stance quickly changed back to his battle stance.
  1849. (Katash)
  1850. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1851.
  1852. [20:17] Ah yes.
  1853.
1854. The one group outside of his tribe who the former shaman well, and truly enjoyed the company of, and why wouldn't he? They're a group of rambunctious, and glorious bastards, and upon seeing Caddock, one of his closets friends fury upon the sight of the panther.
  1855.
  1856. Well...
  1857.
1858. "Only one thing to do really." With that, he'd follow behind his friend, with his brother by his side. "Let's see what's going on here."
  1859. (Gou Meztin)
  1860. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1861.
1862. [20:18] Maertock would raise his trident with a howl of cheer as he clicked his rows of serrated teeth together with amusement, their bloody expanses dripping as his eyes blackened at the scent of their former quarry.
  1863.
  1864. The Espirit Pantera.
  1865.
1866. "AT LAST, OUR BATTLE SHALL BE LEGENDARY."
  1867.
1868. Drawing his mithril saber with an audible raking sound from its scaled scabbard, the Captain of the Deep Company woukld place it in his backhanded position as he cackled with dread cheer, slapping his sinewed, bare chest as he prepared to engage their previous quarry.
  1869.
1870. "I DIDN'T LIE BEFORE. LOOKS LIKE MEAT'S ON THE MENU BOYS."
  1871. (Maertock Reave)
  1872. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1873.
1874. [20:18] The Moxtli pushed their advance, the Shaman's body still charged with the residual energies of her brief but effective ritual.. That was what being a Shaman is about, it was her purpose, and her birthright. To feel their relief was to feel rewarded in her eyes.
  1875.
1876. Though there was something else up ahead, but she was unsure of the specifics of the occurrence. "Careful.." She commands, her silent floating pushing her forward to encounter their allies.
  1877.
1878. Rallying for what was hopefully a final push.
  1879. (D'noxa Aba)
  1880. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1881.
1882. [20:18] Eiji merely follows the tribes as they continue onward! That malicious grin remains all the more pleased with the previous events - Even the briefest bit of fire pointed towards the Dryad was enough to boost his morale. But a chunk of shiny rock..?
  1883.
  1884. Even better.
  1885.
1886. Tucking the prize into his pack he'd continue to drift along with the gathered pack. There's a wave paid towards those Sirenians, "Hello, hello..! I do hope you all have had a fine performance on this place yourself. It's been damn interesting if I do say myself!"
  1887.
1888. Loose laughter escapes the Kitsune's lips as attention is turned towards the cavern. Talacael is soon to enter after the pirates...
  1889.
1890. And thus the performer follows to provide the spotlight!
  1891.
1892. "Now, now..! Don't go counting me out."
  1893. (Eiji)
  1894. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1895.
1896. [20:18] Tono'tli was glad the adventure seemed to be coming to a close. They'd appeased a tainted spirit, fought a Kraken of the deep and uncovered some loot. It had been a fun time, but like anything, it had to end.
  1897.
1898. They'd even encountered their fishy friends. A bright smile envelopes his features as he takes them all in. "Hello captain, hello everyone! Nice to be seeing you here!"
  1899. (Tono`tli)
  1900. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1901.
1902. [20:18] "Don't chase the Panther. Let us-"
  1903.
1904. Caddock was already in pursuit.
  1905.
1906. If there was a panther spirit on the archipelago, then he wanted to speak with it. Corrupted or otherwise. In response to the Deep Company's intent, he too begins to give chase, raising his voice loud enough for everyone to hear.
  1907.
1908. "You're not going to hunt any panther without us communing with it first."
  1909.
1910. It was likely the few things that could run him the wrong way.
  1911. (Itzcali)
  1912. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1913.
1914. [20:19] What sort of coincidence was it, that the pirates would end up being here? On the very same day, the same hour that they finally investigated this island? Perhaps they had been guided by their dead god. That seemed likely.
  1915.
1916. The girl simply couldn't keep up with the babbling of either side, choosing to just listen to what Talacael had to say.
  1917. (Yaretzi Meztin)
  1918. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1919.
1920. [20:19] The rabbit walked behind, still stopping on occasion to look at the humanoid remains along the cave trail. Ter blinked as she heard footsteps up ahead followed by angry yelling. Should she consider the possibility of another fight?
  1921.
1922. Why would she consider that? Finally able to see the group ahead, she would point out their fish-like appearance and scent.
  1923.
1924. Why were there so many fish today?
  1925. (Ter Lunae Vine)
  1926. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1927.
1928. [20:20] The Kitsune finds that as they pressed on, the caves only got more and more un-entertaining for him. Even so, as they arrive at a central point where they find the other Sirenia..
  1929.
1930. .. a light wave is given. Both to Katja, and Leibos, before they prepare for the next challenge.
  1931.
1932. Little is said, though. It was hard for Feiyan to say that he was particularly invested, though once Itzcali speaks up, his hand comes for the stave at his side, watching with piqued interest. He follows, for now, though he seems rather wary...
  1933. (Feiyan Taiyang)
  1934. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1935.
1936. [20:20] No, they most certainly were not, and what a agreeable sight the pirates were.
  1937.
1938. That is, until they were chasing the panther? Again?
  1939.
  1940. "W-
  1941. Wait. Wait, wait, wait.
  1942.
  1943. Don't do that."
  1944.
1945. She takes to pursuit, not in the panther's trail, but as a point of interception between the crew and the big cat.
  1946. (Ixcatzin)
  1947. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1948.
1949. [20:20] "HUNT? IT FUCKIN' ATTACKED US! HUAAAAAAAAAH!"
  1950.
1951. Caddock does not stop, undeterred by Itzcali's pleads. He was far too irritated, following recent events.
  1952. (Caddock Reave)
  1953. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1954.
1955. [20:21] They had been attacked first even if they did set foot on some sacred lands or other. If you went getting caught up on what was sacred and what was not by everyone's belief then you would make a mess of your pants trying to find a place to relieve yourself without offense.
  1956.
1957. Then you would upset an eccentric religious tailor somewhere anyways.
  1958.
1959. "Alrigh' let's put this 'ere t'rest." He said readying his pistol once again. "Hope ya lot don't mind. We'll call 'er square for th'fish y'killed." It really did not matter that they had killed something vaguely related to them anyways.
  1960.
1961. The body would have been useful, though.
  1962.
1963. "I vote ya can commune wit' it." He said at Itzcali's suggestion, "But it came fer us first an' lead us t'some hoarde of folk what ain't look like they should be movin' still. Real evil-like." A shrug passed through Murtock's large shoulders.
  1964.
1965. The Sirenian's gaze swept across the crew, "What be yer votes?"
  1966. (Murtock Reave)
  1967. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1968.
1969. [20:21] Itzcali says, "FOR A REASON! GET BACK HE-"
1970. [20:21] The Quartermaster accepted the arcanium, secreting it on her person along with the very nice payout of gold.
  1971.
1972. "Aye, share distribution's gonna happen a little later, and with all this, should be good."
  1973.
1974. The arrival of the Moxtli was met with a short wave from the Honorary Siren.
  1975.
1976. "Evenin', ya lot. Is it evening? Canopy's thick here, is all. Wanna help us skin a panther?"
  1977.
1978. There was a slight wince at the mention of the tribesmen they fought.
  1979.
  1980. "Aye...may'a decapitated a Chieftain. Sorry if he was a buddy'a yours."
  1981.
1982. Itzcali's words were met with a shrug.
  1983.
1984. "If ya like, but it ain't friendly, lets put it that way. Ya wanna try'n chat first, go for it."
  1985.
1986. She rolled her eyes, calling after her extremely eager crewmen.

  1996.
1997. She does stop her furious charge. She was reasonable.
  1998.
  1999. But, this was boring.
  2000. (Katja)

2004. [20:21] Maertock Reave says, "MENU"
2005. [20:21] An air of excitement washed over Nori when he saw the crew. Although he only knew Murtock for his incredible combat skills, they all looked incredibly cool and confident.
  2006. (Nori)
  2007. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2008.
2009. [20:21] Maertock Reave says, "SCRAW"

2026. [20:22] Katja says, "We want to fight it."
2027. [20:23] Kim Se-young says, "Did you say something Shining? The acoustics in this cave is giving me a headache."
  2028. [20:23] Shining Sparkle exclaims, "I don't remember!"
2029. [20:23] Katja asks, "Can we still fight it after you talk to it?"
2030. [20:23] Maertock Reave says, "Imagine talking to something in shooting range."
2031. [20:23] Katja says, "I mean, the captain is right."
2032. [20:23] Leibos says, "...Let 'em talk to it first. If it works, fine. If it doesn't, well..."
2033. [20:23] Anne orn Salis says, "Lets not burn bridges, hm? The Moxtli'a done right by us thus far."
2034. [20:23] Murtock Reave says, "Aye an' we got our loot."
2035. [20:23] Maertock Reave asks, "Mmm....goes both ways don't it? Why they get to eat it and not us?"
2036. [20:23] Murtock Reave says, "I say we let 'em talk an' if it be off we get th'right t'put 'er down first."
2037. [20:23] Murtock Reave says, "They don't get t'fight it 'fore us."
2038. [20:23] Ixcatzin says, "What do you mean EAT."
2039. [20:23] Murtock Reave asks, "If that be th'way it needs t'go. What say you Moxtli?"
2040. [20:23] Maertock Reave exclaims, "Why wouldn't you eat something with all that MEAT!"
2041. [20:24] Murtock Reave says, "Hel if I know. Y'know what we woulda done wit' th'fish they had, brother."
2042. [20:24] Murtock Reave says, "Different folk got their different ways."
2043. [20:24] Maertock Reave says, "True. We would have also eaten that, but saved a rib or two for the depths."
2044. [20:25] Murtock Reave asks, "Aye, but 'least woulda wanted a peek, aye?"
2045. [20:25] Murtock Reave says, "Let 'em have their peek s'long as they agree if it be off we got th'right t'first hunt."
2046. [20:26] Katash asks, "Feeling confident, Sparkling Rabbit?"
2047. [20:26] Murtock Reave asks, "Whaddya say t'that?"
2048. [20:26] Shining Sparkle exclaims, "I'm always confident!"
2049. [20:26] Katash says, "Good! It's good energy."
2050. [20:26] Gou Meztin says, "And if it's not 'off', then it's free to go about it's business."
2051. [20:26] Gou Meztin asks, "Yes?"
  2052. [20:28] Gou nods.
  2053. (Gou Meztin)
  2054. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2055.
2056. [20:28] {NARRATION} Around the caverns waters where the source of the blight was at the end of the cave, there's the rise of a familiar tentacle from the depths-
  2057.
2058. -as if an old friend was greeting them.
  2059.
2060. It plops back underneath, then a pouncing dive as a shadow falls over the entrance that they slipped through. The wild cat that the sirens met earlier returned to form a duo, blocking the group off and entrapping in them in what was to become their tomb.
  2061. [20:28] Ixcatzin says, "Ah."
  2062. [20:29] Murtock Reave asks, "D-dad?"
  2063. [20:29] Talacael Meztin says, "..."
  2064. [20:29] Leibos says, "Oho."
  2065. [20:29] Caddock Reave says, "..."
  2066. [20:29] Katja says, "..."
2067. [20:29] Ter Lunae Vine exclaims, "The teeth are back!"
  2068. [20:29] Maertock Reave says, "YES. "
  2069. [20:29] Katja says, "Kill. "
  2070. [20:29] Maertock Reave says, "A BUFFET"
2071. [20:30] Jani remembered the kraken! It was time to get earthy again!
  2072.
2073. Her stomach still growled loudly from... her desire to eat everyone.. so maybe she could bite a good chunk out of a tentacle this time!
  2074.
2075. "Itzul, stay behind me." she said as she glanced back to him. The crystals rose up and began their rotation, preparing to fight whatever the yhad too, be it cat, or fish, or even catfish if they fused!
  2076. (Jani)
  2077. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2078.
2079. [20:30] So much for talks. The prospect is summarily flung out of the window, and Ixcatzin primes herself for strike.
  2080. (Ixcatzin)
  2081. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2082.
2083. [20:30] The tentacle gained his attention, the familiar sight of the kraken that had almost drowned the tribesmen was vividly recalled, and with it the chieftain jumped into action, shouting out towards the captain of the pirates.
  2084.
2085. "You have gained your buffet."
  2086.
2087. Talacael's voice shouted out over any mutterings, the kraken would no doubt feed the entire group that had united.
  2088.
2089. "Tribesmen, prepare for combat again. Focus your assault on the kraken, ignore the cat for now and focus on the larger threat."
  2090.
2091. They still hadn't been given the chance to commune with the panther after all, perhaps it could be appeased. Although he doubted such if the pair of kraken and panther seemed to live in harmony.
  2092.
  2093.
  2094. (Talacael Meztin)
  2095. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2096.
  2097. [20:30] "Kill it."
  2098.
2099. The former shaman roared out, as the wisps of ethereal energy enshrouded his eyes once more. This thing was getting on his nerves, and needed to be dealt with swiftly.
  2100.
2101. Celestial mana would begin to pour into his staff, as he readied himself for action, but not before yelling out one thing.
  2102.
2103. "Maertock. You wanna eat so badly, why don't you just kill that thing, and feat upon it while we go chat with the panther. That seems like a reasonable course of action for me."
  2104.
2105. Odds are the pirate would want to eat both of them, but... You never know.
  2106.
2107. Either way, he was about to pelt the Kraken with a whole load of cosmic magic.
  2108. (Gou Meztin)
  2109. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2110.
2111. [20:31] "Aw... it's not dead!? Who'd come back for a beatdown after that last one!" The kitsune says, he simply did not understand the mindset of these beats, going all out to kill the beastkin and now... sirens. He'd point his fiery staff forward.
  2112.
2113. "On flat ground- My fire will cook you good!" For some reason, the fish folk seem really keen on eating this giant squid... it seems bad to him honestly. For some reason, he ignored any 'cat' involved...
  2114. (Katash)
  2115. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2116.
2117. [20:31] There it was again! The same tentacles that were impossible to erase from one's mind.
  2118.
2119. Shining Sparkle lurks behind Tono, ready to defend the cat boy once more at a moment's notice. The sands whipping up about her grow all the more violent as she stands by...
  2120.
2121. Once more awaiting the beginning of inevitable combat.
  2122.
2123. "If anyone manages to get a bite out of the big squid thing, let me know how it tastes...!"
  2124. (Shining Sparkle)
  2125. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2126.
2127. [20:31] The united forces ran after their quarry, a massive appendage erupting from the water ahead.. the Shaman coming to a brief stop. "He's back! Just like before, everyone. When it reveals it's arms, restrain and remove. Some of you, focus on the Panther, try to see if anything can be done to save it." Something she would accommodate for the kraken as well, if the Sirenians asked.
  2128.
2129. Though no promises could be made, and she knew that went both ways..
  2130.
2131. "LET'S TAKE IT DOWN!" She shouts, her whip cracking the air like thunder, already searching for a tentacle to remove.
  2132. (D'noxa Aba)
  2133. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2134.
  2135. [20:31] Well, damn.
  2136.
2137. Screw the panther, screw Moxtli, THIS was a far better, and far more tempting target. Leibos very quickly shifted towards the Kraken, raising his sword on high as they continued onwards in the cave.
  2138.
2139. "One way back out, boys. Let's kill this thing."
  2140.
2141. A chill erupted from Leibos, once more, as the ice mage began conjuring.
  2142. (Leibos)
  2143. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2144.
2145. [20:31] "Aaaa! It's BACK! If only Tono had plucked it out of the waters and crushed when he had the chance," He whines, lamenting his biggest failure.
  2146.
2147. He's thankful at least, that he's on dry land now and not having to suffer from his sea-sickness. It meant he could go all out, and perhaps even walk away with some Sea-Food.
  2148.
2149. The Panther's presence isn't registered. It was as if in his mind, he even think about harming anything Feline related.
  2150. (Tono`tli)
  2151. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2152.
  2153. [20:32] ".. Surely not."
  2154.
2155. The kraken they had defeated before, and an enemy that the sirens had defeated before. Joining forces against... both groups that had already defeated them. Yaretzi would've felt indignant if she had actually expected monsters to be more clever.
  2156.
2157. Staying near big brother Gou as always, lightning crackled around her frame. She'd work on the defensive, repelling attacks to the former shaman, declining to throw out her own banter or war cry.
  2158.
  2159. Actions spoke loudest.
  2160. (Yaretzi Meztin)
  2161. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2162.
2163. [20:32] Nori looked at the Kraken and sighed with a low look.
  2164.
  2165. "Another one? I won't be eating squid for a week ..."
  2166. (Nori)
  2167. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2168.
2169. [20:32] Maertock would cackle with excitement as it appeared that one of his god's spawn had chosen to interrupt the dangerously close to peaceful solution to the meat madness by throwing it all into discord, the sudden presence of the Espirit Pantera and the kraken at once making clear there was a dark allegiance.
  2170.
2171. Turning his great white's gaze upon the kraken as he tightened his backhanded grip on the blade, his focus now upon the kraken as he nodded slowly to Gou in contemplation.
  2172.
2173. "We'll see. There's a lot of meet on those tentacles....but some jaguar jerky could be the nines.....hgnggg."
  2174.
2175. The captain would stab himself in the leg to retain focus, shaking his head firmly as his jagged rows of teeth were splayed forth in a sanguinary reaver's grin.
  2176.
2177. "Okay crew, let's have some boiled squid. Extra spice."
  2178. (Maertock Reave)
  2179. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2180.
2181. [20:33] The rushing of both groups lands each of them facing the opposite villain. A kraken, and the Panther. Both of them being the source of the ambient corruption in the air, yet that fact completely passes over Katja's head.
  2182.
2183. It's another Cephalopod. The instincts of the sea-hunter overtake the Anguill, and her inner water spirit whispers in her ear.
  2184.
2185. This is probably going to be very fun.
  2186.
  2187. "Yes, it will be."
  2188.
2189. Blood sprays from her wound, reforming the pall of blood as she rushes forward. No fear.
  2190.
  2191. She was hungry.
  2192. (Katja)
  2193. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2194.
2195. [20:33] He needn't a prompt this time; Se-Young unsheathed his sword and gathered the water in a single swift motion. This wasn't a kill order, this was a cleansing.
  2196.
2197. Initially, the author would be more than obliging to indulge in a surf-and-turf banquet, but this panther obviously meant something to the people of Gehenna. He should've known, that this kraken and that gargoyle weren't the only threats here.
  2198.
2199. "Itzcaaaali. I think I know what you want us to do. Remember, I have your back.
  2200.
2201. Keep it mind!" he said loudly for the people in the back. "We're meant to appease the spirits, not cut down everything in sight, right?"
  2202. (Kim Se-young)
  2203. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2204.
2205. [20:33] The rabbit followed close as they entered the tomb. She looked to see a tentacle rising from the waters then spoke, "There's a squid! ... Octopus? It's just another fish." Nice wording, Ter.
  2206.
2207. "When the squid is done, can I keep one of its teeth?" The question sounds ... Very odd and out of left field. But it makes sense in Ter's mind.
  2208. (Ter Lunae Vine)
  2209. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2210.
2211. [20:33] Well, this was a THOUSAND times better than the other creature. Carnivore actually felt relief, her children erupting about her. Snapping, drooling maws once more filled the area.
  2212.
2213. "By your command, Chieftain." She spoke, extending her hand towards the aquatic menace. Her tendrils would seek to rend it's flesh once again. "This thing should have accepted our first warning. Now, it has nowhere to run."
  2214.
2215. "It will die here. A feast for all."
  2216. (Carnivore)
  2217. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2218.
2219. [20:33] The woman's mind went blank as it made its appearance. Big by normal proportions, but hardly the scale of its full grown brethren, the Kraken was still -to her- utterly majesty.
  2220.
  2221. "By the Deep..."
  2222.
2223. She'd been waiting to see one of these great servants for years. Eyes shifted to Maertock.
  2224.
  2225. "Cap'n...we can't."
  2226.
2227. But they also couldn't not, seeing as it appeared to be rather hostile.
  2228.
2229. "Keep it as intact as possible if we must hurt it, please."
  2230.
2231. As best as she could do, in the context of the situation.
  2232. (Anne orn Salis)
  2233. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2234.
2235. [20:34] They had arrived - but it seemed to be a trap of sorts.
  2236.
2237. With the Krakken arriving on one side, and the apparent panther on the other.
  2238.
2239. The panther sect of Moxtli's Tribes had made their intent clear regardless, and any who wished to do combat with it before their attempted talk would likely need to go through Itzcali first.
  2240.
2241. "Panther, we-" A hand pressing into his chest from Ixcatzin causes his expression to scrunch up a bit. A claw digs into his other, unused palm regardless, and he hovers closer to the predator with his sacrifice already seeping from his hand.
  2242.
2243. "Speak to us through combat. If there is something ailing you, let us purge it through this trial." Better than just giving up entirely, he'd hope.
  2244. (Itzcali)
  2245. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2246.
2247. [20:34] Whatever discussion there was to be over the right to this or than in regards to the panther quickly fell away at the sight of that tentacle. Murtock's gills began to flutter at a heightened pace.
  2248.
2249. An emissary of their deity had come and the time was ripe to draw its attention upon them- By proving their might and returning a piece of the Sleeping God's consciousness.
  2250.
2251. Silence had overtaken him for a moment before he finally found his voice. "Aye, tha' be a brilliant piece.." He spoke, low and awed at the sight. A glance was cast toward Maertock. Surely he was thinking something similar.
  2252.
2253. His pistol was at the ready, but one had to wonder how it would even work.. But Anne's protest brought pause, "Anne, lass. We got t'send our message to Th'Sleepin' One-" He bit the phrase off and looked at Maertock.
  2254.
2255. "Th'Cap'n holds th'right o' The Articles. It be his call."
  2256. (Murtock Reave)
  2257. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2258.
2259. [20:34] A jarring, unending sensation of familiarity drills into Caddock's skull as he approach. The wrathful, fury-bound intent behind his each and every step toward the one who'd harmed his peers come to a violent, sudden end. So, as the tentacle rises, does his adrenaline fall, a momentary pause giving way as if to relish in the situation -
  2260.
2261. While once he may have feared the opportunity, he now saw naught but potential ahead.
  2262.
2263. "COME AT ME, YE' FUCKIN' MONSTROSITY!"
  2264.
2265. He slams his own chest, tossing his sunglasses into the wayside. They shatter on stone, fragmenting across the distance as he march forth, drawing what power he could muster into every single fiber of his being. The ancient, though infantile by the standard of it's own, no doubt preceded all present - and in that, he found no greater honor, no greater glory.
  2266.
  2267. No greater test.
  2268.
2269. "LADS, I'VE HUMBLY DECIDED TO CHANGE ME TARGET."
  2270.
  2271. Oh yes.
  2272. (Caddock Reave)
  2273. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2274.
2275. [20:35] Understandably, he went alongside his tribe in pursuit of the spirit. However, this lead to them being trapped within the cavern's chambers. The kraken's reappearance shocked him into a predatorial stance once more.
  2276.
2277. The panther hadn't calmed yet. He wouldn't strike it, not until they attempted to appease it. His sights would hone on the sea horror. Despite besting it successfully prior, Itzul's guard wouldn't drop. They were in its domain, led here for a purpose.
  2278.
2279. "Stay behind you?.. You were the one that got possessed. Look after yourself Jani."
  2280. (Itzul)
  2281. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2282.
2283. [20:36] In the next lair, Feiyan is shaken immediately as tentacles slam down, nearly reminding him of how the creature was on the ship. His grip on the stave tightens, once more drawing on the cold and pale moonlight that came from the skies.
  2284.
2285. "Once more it comes, and once more.. It shall fall."
  2286.
2287. Ice comes to his form, as does the radiance of his cosmic magic.. And unfortunately, his annoying verbal way of casting. He reaches an arm back..
  2288.
2289. "Magical Arts: Glare of the Winter Moon!"
  2290.
2291. .. and brings it forward, as he fires a blast of radiant light out of his palms-- cold, unforgiving, and astral as it lights up every inch of the beast's lair.
  2292. (Feiyan Taiyang)
  2293. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2294.
  2295. [20:37] Ixcatzin whispers something.
  2296. [20:37] {NARRATION} (Type /team 1. Counting down within the minute!)
  2297. [20:37] Ixcatzin whispers something.
  2298. [20:38] Ixcatzin whispers something.
  2299. [20:38] Itzcali whispers something.
  2300. [20:38] Ixcatzin whispers something.
2301. [20:39] Itzcali whispers: Consider it done.
  2302. [20:39] {NARRATION} Prepare yourselves...
  2303.
  2304. 10... 9...
  2305. [20:39] Ixcatzin says, "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAa"
2306. [20:41] {NARRATION} (Narration incoming shortly! Feel free to pre-type.)
2307. [20:46] The shadow cat thing went down a lot easier than the kraken, who moved around the floor like a sloppy mess. His fires only seemingly just vaporize the krakens surface. Such a weird natural shield...
  2308.
2309. "Tough... damn squid." The kitsune muttered shooting it's flames at the Kraken. "And it smells so bad..." The kitsune played it safe, tossing flames from a fair distance and making sure not to slip around on the squids... liquids. The thought of making a stronger explosion or... flames came to mind, shooting form his hands and staff is too expected.
  2310.
2311. "The Kraken shriveled up for sure this time right? Calamari for everyone?"
  2312. (Katash)
  2313. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2314.
2315. [20:47] Both the squid and phantom tiger (panther?) were defeated. Ter passed out again but, ultimately, she was okay- having gotten up after catching her breath.
  2316.
2317. The rabbit looked to the Sirenians and the Beastkin as the fight came to a close then started rushing toward the squid.
  2318.
2319. "These look better up close! Wow! Look at how sharp these things are!" The many small spears in the Kraken's mouth were in a fine point. Fascinating!
  2320.
2321. "I bet you can make a lot of stuff out of these! Hey, what about that other thing? The giant cat? Think I can collect something for an anklet? OOH! What about one of its canine teeth! I can just put it with a few crystals I found the other day!" She rambled on and on about the possibilities for these two creatures.
  2322.
2323. "Good thing the Kraken died! Imagine being eaten by this thing... That'd be terrifying!"
  2324. (Ter Lunae Vine)
  2325. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2326.
  2327. [20:47] Sand everywhere.
  2328.
2329. But that was absolutely nothing new with Shining Sparkle. Her eyes remain on the tentacle monster and it alone due to the panther's value to some of her own. There was a lot of magic to evade and plenty of room to do so.
  2330.
2331. It wasn't all that bad, really.
  2332.
2333. The moment Tono trips, she scoops him up from the ground and makes sure he's safe and sound before pressing forward. This bout was one instance where she wouldn't make an effort to stand out. So long as she could pull her weight, it was enough for her.
  2334. (Shining Sparkle)
  2335. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2336.
2337. [20:49] The battle was over. Nori breathed heavily as he inspected his own body, making sure everything was in place.
  2338.
2339. Although again he did not contribute so much to his teammates, Nori was more satisfied with his performance in battle: stay alive!
  2340.
2341. Considering his nature of putting himself in unnecessary danger, it was a major breakthrough.
  2342. (Nori)
  2343. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2344.
2345. [20:53] {NARRATION} Both the deep sea amalgam that the tribes had been chased off by, as well as the restless spirit of the wildcat, that had made enemies out of the sirens whilst out by the beaches just moments prior, find themselves working as a duo.
  2346.
2347. Whilst the deep sea beast, thus far with an agenda without explanation proper, seems to be the one consuming fauna by the denizens. The panther's hypnotic, corrupted spirit works as a grand bait - dragging prey in with its own thirsting draw, that of the blight.
  2348.
2349. Needless to say, this was the result of a spirit dwelling on the realm of the living for longer than requited.
  2350.
2351. And as it's brought into submission, it groans in both aching as well as peace. For it has found the reckoning and ability to pass on. Its physical structure implodes in a surge of light, spreading pieces of a darkened mineral in its wake, them all flying outwards and spreading across the width of the cave.
  2352.
2353. As for the cephalopod-like amalgam, it sees its culling quickly enough. The krakenling's integrity disappearing into a grotesque-paste like substance before dissipating into the waters, dissolving like dust.
  2354.
2355. All that's left of it is a single tentacle, one that continues to contest autonomy. It wiggles in the direction of the pirate captain in bizarre contortions, before finally becoming motionless. Yet it disappears not.
  2356.
  2357. The battle won.
  2358.
2359. The source of the blight dissipated.
  2360.
2361. Yet, the spoils... what would be done with them?
2362. [20:53] Eiji is, of course, rushing in to cleave his way through the Kraken's own tendril as the fight begins. The panther was nothing more than a later quarry for him! After all, his tribemates seemed to desire some form of communion with such a beast...
  2363.
2364. Such a shame for the outside of a Kitsune. Perhaps he'd learn of the spirits some day soon.
  2365.
2366. Rounds fire from the manasaber as he cackles away, soon rushing in to begin the more physical aspects of his routine. A cleave of his blade, a deep gouge attempted, all before a flurry of blows are landed down upon the beast's appendage.
  2367.
2368. "Sushi, sushi..! Its BLOOD can appease the spirits further, yes!?" He'd chortle, tail flicking wildly beyond his messied frame. Each cut brought about another arc of crimson, and with each cut he fell deeper into that mania.
  2369.
2370. Flourishing his blade Eiji takes his time to catch his breath through the laughter. A few burns had been landed from the fissile strikes he'd landed perhaps! Thus a slow whiff of the air is taken to savor such destruction...
  2371.
2372. The spoils however? They take his full attention.
  2373. (Eiji)
  2374. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2375.
2376. [20:53] Katja sticks onto the Pather in the beginning, ripping at it's flesh with her saber and tearing whatever gore it can from the specter, if it had any.
  2377.
2378. Her Water Spirit was correct. This was fun. A whole lot of fun, more fun than a singular fight. When a reprieve was to be had, she takes a step back to meet the rest of her crew.
  2379.
  2380. "I'm cutting a tentacle off."
  2381.
2382. True to her word, gore from the surrounding area gathers around her blade. The saber gains additional weight and cutting power, and the blade is directed to the Kraken.
  2383.
2384. She wants a piece of that squid.
  2385. (Katja)
  2386. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2387.
2388. [20:53] {NARRATION} (If you attempt to pick up obsidian, it can be contested ICly. Discussion / roleplay first!)
2389. [20:54] The two colossal foes were indeed powerful...
  2390.
2391. But so was the combined might of the tribe and the pirates. The Dryad herself stuck to the backline, carefully working her magics amongst the chaos that was being sown. The thorns, vines, roots, spores, and biting teeth of her children worked amongst the battlefield like a beautiful piece of art. Her execution of control was flawless, and she even managed to provide protection for her allies from the Kraken's smashing tentacles.
  2392.
2393. Yes, there was only one way this battle would end. With the defeat of the Spirit and the Kraken. Even such a powerful beast started to draw back in retreat. But there was nowhere to run. Nowhere to hide. And she?
  2394.
2395. She was everywhere. Spread out amongst the all that went on, she tore at the tentacles of the Kraken, until it would inevitably fall.
  2396.
  2397.
  2398. (Carnivore)
  2399. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2400.
2401. [20:54] Both the squid and phantom tiger (panther?) were defeated. Ter passed out again but, ultimately, she was okay- having gotten up after catching her breath.
  2402.
2403. The rabbit looked to the Sirenians and the Beastkin as the fight came to a close then started rushing toward the squid.
  2404.
2405. /quote "These look better up close! Wow! Look at how sharp these things are!" The 'things' in question were the many small spears in the Kraken's mouth. All of them in a fine point.
  2406.
  2407. Fascinating!
  2408.
2409. "I bet you can make a lot of stuff out of these! Hey, what about that other thing? The cat? Think I can collect something for an anklet? OOH! What about its canine teeth? I can put them with a few crystals I found the other day!" She rambled on and on about the possibilities of the defeated monsters. Casually studying the Kraken, Ter exclaimed, "Good thing the Kraken died! Imagine being eaten by this thing! Being chomped on by many rows of teeth, alive? That'd be terrifying!"
  2410. (Ter Lunae Vine)
  2411. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2412.
2413. [20:55] Their goal had been to subdue and calm the Wildcat, but the ire of the Krakken makes it a difficult task to complete.
  2414.
2415. Blow for blow and claw for claw, Itzcali aims to earn the titan-panther's respect through a trade of blows alongside their various allies. Whether it worked or not, the end result seemed to be what was intended.
  2416.
2417. With blood still coming from his palms, the nagual gazes into the eyes of the corrupted spirit, waiting and watching to see how it's temporarily stunned status would shift its mood.
  2418.
2419. He also moves in to unleash the entirety of his might on the Krakken after for rocking the boat earlier. You never rock the boat.
  2420.
2421. Itzcali moves forward to collect a piece of obsidian, aiming to pick it up and study it for a length of time. It was certainly something that could be used as he moves on in his spiritual journey.
  2422.
2423. "So then... the trial by combat worked. It's free?"
  2424. (Itzcali)
  2425. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2426.
2427. [20:55] His target was decided instantly.
  2428.
2429. The panther, ignored in favour of the kraken that had assaulted them before, already his bow was strung and his mana-infused arrow was sent forth to impact the side of the gigantic form of the kraken.
  2430.
2431. "Keep the spells coming, it's falling, soon. It fled from us before, and it'll be defeated properly this time."
  2432.
2433. Those tentacles that could so easily crush his much smaller form were dodged, his natural ability coming into play as he zoomed across the arena to send forth a billow of noxious gases to attempt to suffocate the water-natured being.
  2434.
2435. Until finally, it was slain. His eyes roaming along the structure of the beast, the explosion of light causing his lids to blink, the obsidian that scattered across the surroundings spotted within his eyes.
  2436.
  2437. "Oh?"
  2438.
2439. A step led him forward, hand swiping out to snatch a piece of obsidian from the sky, his control over the air softening the blow within his palm if no one contested it.
  2440. (Talacael Meztin)
  2441. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2442.
2443. [20:55] "AYE. YE' GOT YER' FUCKIN' CAT."
  2444.
  2445. Caddock slams forth.
  2446.
2447. "Fair's fair! This one is ours!"
  2448.
2449. A jagged bolt of ice, interlaced with still-flowing green.
  2450.
2451. He probably wasn't letting the earlier statements go. Stubborn nature refused to allow. They'd entered, by his own view, the crew's business. They'd intruded, and attempted to hinder the very reason they'd advanced through the island in the first place. Though he might've turned away at last second, due to unforeseen circumstance, that -
  2452.
2453. Well, he'd probably just get drunk and forget about it.
  2454.
2455. He slides forth, hopping and flowing freely from one motion to the next as waves crashed and his tangible form shifted. Blood washes away, his body cleansed of the sins of hours prior - of enemies slain. A deftly avoided tentacle crashes - a beam of unforgivingly relentless energy befalling the crowd, evaded all the same.
  2456.
  2457. "LEIBOS! Gimmie' a hand!""
  2458.
2459. A palm juts forth, icy chill encompassing the moisture he'd drawn. Crystalline edges erupt, erupting along the ground to consume the foe that'd risen all the same, entombing and restraining it in an icy wall that danced along and encompassed even the waters his kin had utilized - an attempt centered, most heavily, upon the actions of Murtock and D'noxa in particular.
  2460.
2461. Thereafter, he marches forth. Fragmented bits scatter, a wayward hand sailing to grip at something in the meantime.
  2462. (Caddock Reave)
  2463. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2464.
  2465. [20:55] Ixcatzin whispers something.
2466. [20:55] Subdued and defeated, their threats were no longer quite so threatening. She admires the scattered obsidian and moves to take one herself!
  2467. (Shining Sparkle)
  2468. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2469.
2470. [20:56] This time, Jani wasn't on the defense, she was on the offense. She saw that there were two foes, but that was fine with her, her magic had range. Spikes, crystalline walls, and earthquakes somehow afflicted both foes while she danced between their attacks. When she was able, she used her movements... to chomp a big bite out of the Kraken's tentacles. She had to eat something after all. She only did this three times, it'd be enough to satiate her until they got home.. or it'd make her horribly sick, she didn't care either way.
  2471.
2472. She ran right into a few large mouth beams, but otherwise ended up completely fine in the fight.
  2473.
2474. Just when she'd turned to attempt to end the kraken by shoving a giant rock in it's eye, she saw Itzul deal the finishing blow.
  2475.
2476. Though Kraken blood ran down her cheeks, she couldn't help but smile widely. She's been pushing Itzul very hard to try and make a name for himself, to do something, to be more active, to hunt more.. and it seems to be paying off!
  2477.
2478. "Good job everyone!" she shouted, proud of not only her friends, but her entire tribe as well.
  2479.
2480. Jani will pick up stuff.. but she never really cares about baubles, so if someone else wants the obsidian, they can have it, she aint care.
  2481. (Jani)
  2482. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2483.
2484. [20:56] "Getting real sick of SEEING you around here."
  2485.
2486. The shaman roars out, as he leaps into the air, where he performs a crisp backflip, as celestial mana poured out from his body, and towards the creature. The very spirits he had thought he had disappointed, moved to guide his blows.
  2487.
2488. For each ray of cosmic light that he fired, the shadows that they cast would jut out from the ground, forming thick spikes which easily pierced through the sea creatures scales.
  2489.
2490. "Good work." The former shaman stated, as the damnable creature was bested. The fate of the panther would remain a mystery to him, seeing as his entire focus had been on the kraken.
  2491.
  2492. However the loot?
  2493.
2494. "Hm..." A swift shrug of his shoulders follow. "I'll pass." He'd glance over to his brother. "Unless of course you need help getting one." Which it seems like he was intent on doing.
  2495.
2496. So of course, Gou moved to assist.
  2497. (Gou Meztin)
  2498. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2499.
2500. [20:56] Carnivore attempts to gather one of the pieces of obsidian
  2501. (Carnivore)
  2502. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2503.
2504. [20:56] Ter noticed the obsidian and started darting for it.
  2505. (Ter Lunae Vine)
  2506. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2507.
2508. [20:56] Exerting her control over the water in the cavern, she did her best to obstruct the massive sea creature's attacks. "MURTOCK!" She shouts across the cavern, hoping the Siren would hear her call. "HELP ME GRAB IT!" She knew he was competent, and the two had hunted together enough to understand how they would move together.
  2509.
2510. Calling upon the spilled blood upon the ground, she infuses it into the waters, strengthening her already impressive control. Tentacles of her own hopefully rising along with some effort of her Siren friend's.
  2511.
2512. Snaring and binding as many of the powerful arms as possible, the Shaman visibly strains with the effort, and if she were being honest..? It was only even possible with the help she had, to fight such a powerful creature of the deep with water was no easy prospect..
  2513.
2514. Though if nothing else was proof of the strong alliance between Moxtli and the Sirenians, it was this moment of pure cooperation. The thing bested through such potent mutual efforts. The Panther passing on properly, as well as their own quarry brought low.
  2515.
2516. The Shaman would walk over to the shark when it was done, offering the massive lad a hand. "..Glad to know you heard me.."
  2517. (D'noxa Aba)
  2518. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2519.
2520. [20:56] Tono'tli sees a shiny gem and can't resist the urge to nab one up, thus he makes his way over, eager to pocket one.
  2521. (Tono`tli)
  2522. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2523.
2524. [20:56] Katash goes and attempts picks up the rock.
  2525. (Katash)
  2526. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2527.
2528. [20:57] Maertock would focus his predatory attention on the deep one's spawn with excitement, his shadowy magic released in full as he flowed across the battlefield not unlike a shark in the depths, shadow is ocean as he approached with violent determination. He was already ticked off he wasn't able to eat the panther, but luckily his brand of foul magic grew only spicier with misery.
  2529.
2530. And of all the things in these realms, he had the most of that of all. The black hearted reaver knew no such thing as peace.
  2531.
2532. Swirling aside from the release of immense occultic energy from his confines, the heavy scent of depravity, darkness, and malevolence like freshly cooked bacon to the Captain of the Deep Company. This was the music of their dead king yet sleeping.
  2533.
  2534. This was a dance.
  2535.
2536. Smashing the hilt of his mithril blade with brutality upside the kraken's head with a rending claw of shadows, the captain would cackle as he dissipated in flowing shadows, the scentof blood in the air nigh intoxicating to him.
  2537.
2538. He wished it would never end.
  2539.
2540. But of course, all good things did.
  2541.
2542. Taking a firm drag from bottle of rum, the shadowy captain would watch from behind as his crew sought their spoils.
  2543.
2544. "One for all, take all you can, give nothing back boys."
  2545.
2546. One of their many catchy mottos. Maertock would skip the scrabbling for loot, beginning to immediately feast upon the kraken's raw carcass. Meat was at last on the menu.
  2547.
2548. Only for it to turn to dust, ash in his mouth.
  2549.
  2550. "THIS IS BULLSHIT."
  2551. (Maertock Reave)
  2552. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2553.
2554. [20:57] Tono`tli sees they're all contested and decides to back down! He's just good like that!
  2555. (Tono`tli)
  2556. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2557.
2558. [20:57] There was one threat he'd face himself. Water was his element and he shan't lose to some demon. He kept a close eye on his allies, offering some semblance of recovery magic whenever possible and riding along the tidal waves he creates to bring succor.
  2559.
2560. But it was his concern with the panther than struck him the most.
  2561.
2562. "Man, it's this and that and I still can't catch a break. When this is over, I'm gonna need some soup and some warm covers for spirit's sake!"
  2563.
2564. He took a sigh of relief once it was over. Content with just kind of...Accepting whatever gift may come to him.
  2565. (Kim Se-young)
  2566. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2567.
2568. [20:57] The fight was furious -and chaotic, to be honest, so many people- but the end of it was marked by victory. Pieces of obsidian, blasted about. A remaining piece of Kraken tentacle, even as the rest of it dissipated, melted away.
  2569.
2570. Her eyes remaining on the remnant.
  2571.
2572. "Moxtli, hear us. The piece of the Kraken is destined for the Deep Company. Do not argue with us on this."
  2573.
2574. She was happy to let Katja claim though, and if no-one else of the crew did, Anne would.
  2575. (Anne orn Salis)
  2576. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2577.
  2578. [20:57] Ixcatzin says, "Mmn..."
2579. [20:57] Gou Meztin says, "Take it."
2580. [20:57] Gou Meztin says, "I care little for it."
2581. [20:57] The ferocity of the battle was the stuff written down in storybooks.
  2582.
2583. As was the confusion! It was rough enough, battling one beast with the whole company, but battling two with half of Moxtli was an order of magnitude worse.
  2584.
2585. Leibos made do, swinging at the tentacles of the great beast, trying to press through bodies to get in range. The siren was at an advantage in these damp quarters, and kept at it, swinging his sword and conjuring forth ice and cold.
  2586.
2587. And cold was how he ultimately helped. The call from Caddock made him focus his energy on freezing the damned thing, and combined with their efforts, it helped finally put an end to it.
  2588.
2589. It was a ferocious, terrific battle, the kind that made even an ice-mage's blood run hot. Even so, once it was all said and done, the merman laid the point of his sword down, taking a good few moments to catch his breath properly.
  2590.
2591. Even so, there was no rest for the wicked. There was but a single tentacle left of the Kraken, yet this one oozed wrongness.
  2592.
2593. "This one's ours. I don't give a damn for the obsidian, that one is coming with us."
  2594.
2595. A glance goes over the tribals, then Maertock. "We won't take argument."
  2596. (Leibos)
  2597. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2598.
2599. [20:58] Talacael Meztin says, "I hold no interest in the tentacle, I doubt we have any use for the limb."
2600. [20:58] Jani says, "I'd probably just eat it."
2601. [20:58] Shining Sparkle says, "Hey! I'm taking this."
  2602. [20:58] Ixcatzin whispers something.
2603. [20:58] Shining Sparkle asks, "Okay?"
2604. [20:58] Ixcatzin blocks your path.
  2605. (Ixcatzin)
  2606. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2607.
2608. [20:58] Gou Meztin says, "Brother. If no one moves to stop you. Just take it."
2609. [20:58] Tono`tli says, "Don't eat it. Tono can make something of it... probably."
2610. [20:58] Ter Lunae Vine exclaims, "But it's shiny! I want to know the carat!"
2611. [20:58] Carnivore distinctly blocks Katja's path with a vine, before pointing a barbed flower towards her. "I'll be taking this back."
  2612.
2613. It was a statement, not a question. "Interfere, and I'll eat you."
  2614. (Carnivore)
  2615. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2616.
2617. [20:58] Maertock Reave says, "I've had my fill of blood. No more need for me."
2618. [20:58] Caddock Reave says, "Nah."
2619. [20:58] Caddock Reave says, "Ye already tried t'stop me from slappin' that god damn cat."
2620. [20:58] Katash says, "Reminds me of fire, I love it..."
2621. [20:58] Eiji says, "Ah... I feel you there, my scaled friend..."
  2622. [20:58] Ixcatzin says, "Pffuh."
2623. [20:58] Shining Sparkle exclaims, "Unfortunate, but I need it for something!"
2624. [20:58] Maertock would tuck away the tentacle quietly....the whispers of his dead god already amplifying within his psyche.
  2625. (Maertock Reave)
  2626. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2627.
2628. [20:58] Shining Sparkle exclaims, "Plus it's nice looking anyways...!"
2629. [20:58] She fought against the monsters in turn, skirting along the edges before finding an opportunity where her fists could be put to use. It was an expansive battlefield, one she wasn't used to amidst the skirmishing and solo combat of the tribes.
  2630.
2631. By the end of it, the enemies were brought low and they found themselves... arguing over loot.
  2632.
2633. Yaretzi stared over with incredulity, before folding her arms.
  2634. (Yaretzi Meztin)
  2635. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2636.
2637. [20:59] Murtock had held back to establish a zone of control and respite for the combatants more than capable of holding his own against the lashing blows of those tentacles.
  2638.
2639. Each that came back to where the massive sharkman held his ground would find silvery-blue waters ready to wash free their wounds. A festive battleground was created with green and red blood mingling upon the field.
  2640.
2641. "Ho there, pull back thar be no such shame 'gainst a Kraken!" He called out to the warriors caught by the beast as it batted Sirenian and Beastfolk aside like playthings.
  2642.
2643. The Sirenians jaw dropped in awe as it opened its cavernous mouth releasing a wave of raw occult energy- The blessing and curse of their fallen deity. Fortunately he was snapped out of it at D'noxa's cry. "Aye, I got ya, lass! Hold 'er still, I'm comin'!"
  2644.
2645. He released his hold over the ground and advanced lending his control to the watersthe shaman held lending his strength as their mana briefly fused into one being in sync.
  2646.
2647. Even still his smooth brow became ridged and strained with effort, teeth gnashing in. Their combined might was tremendous and even still it took every ounce of concentration to hold it still.
  2648.
2649. At last it was done and heaved out a sigh, attention turning to D'noxa. "Aye, lass tha' was a righ' proper struggle. Glad ya called or tha' might've gone worse." He responded gripping their with a massive webbed one of his own in a symbol of their people's unity.
  2650. (Murtock Reave)
  2651. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2652.
2653. [20:59] Ter Lunae Vine says, "Yeah, I agree! That's why I want to inspect it."
2654. [20:59] His magic is sent, from every direction, aiming to destroy the beast as does the rest of the group. Words are shouted, called by him as he invokes his magic, sending ice-- light, and the cosmos to put it down.
  2655.
2656. .. and finally, he does. Finally they manage to put down- and free, the spirits.
  2657.
2658. Immediately, as it all draws to a close, he comes to assist Itzcali in taking one.
  2659.
2660. If anyone were to stand in his way, Feiyan would the Nagual's first line of defence.
  2661. (Feiyan Taiyang)
  2662. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2663.
  2664. [20:59] "Hello. I want this."
  2665.
2666. Katja does not move, she simply stays in Carnivore's way awaiting to grab the piece of Obsidian.
  2667.
2668. "You can try. I am always ready to fight for what I want. I doubt you'll really be able to do anything, anyway."
  2669. (Katja)
  2670. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2671.
2672. [20:59] Ixcatzin dangles the black rock in front of Caddock's face. In truth, she cared little for it.
  2673. (Ixcatzin)
  2674. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2675.
  2676. [20:59] Nori says, "I'm so glad I'm alive..."
2677. [20:59] Talacael's eyes scan around the loot that had been delivered, his voice cutting through the air.
  2678.
2679. "We're at the beginning of a war against Achyon, and we've finally come to an accord with our alliance."
  2680.
2681. At least, talks were in the works.
  2682.
2683. "If you have an issue with contesting loot, fight with one another here. And let it be forgotten after the winner is decided."
  2684. (Talacael Meztin)
  2685. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2686.
2687. [20:59] Caddock idly floats, spinning before Ixcatzin.
  2688.
2689. "Hand it over. I'll fight ye' later."
  2690. (Caddock Reave)
  2691. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2692.
2693. [20:59] Shining Sparkle says, "Aha."
2694. [21:00] Shining Sparkle exclaims, "We can fight for it!"
2695. [21:00] Shining Sparkle says, "But..."
  2696. [21:00] Ixcatzin asks, "Yeah?"
2697. [21:00] Caddock Reave says, "Aye."
2698. [21:00] Shining Sparkle exclaims, "I don't think you'll be able to beat me!"
2699. [21:00] Ixcatzin asks, "Why not now?"
2700. [21:00] Ixcatzin says, "Round two."
2701. [21:00] Shining Sparkle exclaims, "I don't like hitting other rabbits anyways!"
2702. [21:00] Caddock Reave says, "I wanna' get back first."
2703. [21:00] Talacael Meztin says, "If you have no true use for the items, then do not bother trying to contest them. Allow the people with a use for them to obtain them."
2704. [21:00] Ixcatzin says, "...I'll keep it in my pocket 'til then."
  2705. [21:00] Ixcatzin says, "Kheehe."
2706. [21:01] Ter Lunae Vine says, "Okay, but it's shiny. And I know instinctually I'd like to have it."
2707. [21:01] Shining Sparkle says, "So..."
2708. [21:01] Shining Sparkle asks, "A fight, then?"
2709. [21:01] Katja says, "Bold of you to assume I would hold back for something I want."
2710. [21:01] Caddock plucks it out of their pocket, or rather, attempts to do so.
  2711. (Caddock Reave)
  2712. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2713.
2714. [21:01] Ter Lunae Vine exclaims, "A fight? First person to grab it!"
2715. [21:01] Shining Sparkle exclaims, "Nope!"
2716. [21:01] Shining Sparkle says, "You have to fight me."
2717. [21:01] Ixcatzin poses no resistance.
  2718. (Ixcatzin)
  2719. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2720.
2721. [21:02] She didn't look interested to fight.
  2722. (Ter Lunae Vine)
  2723. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2724.
2725. [21:02] Murtock Reave says, "I'd be likin' a piece if ya Moxtli ain't mind."
2726. [21:02] Feiyan Taiyang asks, "Se-young, you've got this. Right?"
2727. [21:02] Murtock Reave says, "Ain't no big deal if nay, but somethin' t'show fer it an' put on me gun."
  2728. [21:02] Kim Se-young says, "Got what. I'm cold."
2729. [21:02] Itzul's sights were set upon the kraken's remaining tentacle. The sole limb that failed to dematerialize.
  2730.
2731. He'd approach Maertock, staring him down with digits directed to the appendage.
  2732.
2733. "That belongs to me. I placed the final blow on it, I get the tentacle."
  2734. (Itzul)
  2735. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2736.
2737. [21:02] Feiyan Taiyang asks, ".. You're gonna intercept if someone tries to take 'cali's?"
  2738. [21:03] Kim Se-young says, "Of course. I'm his six o'clock rearguard."
2739. [21:03] As Itzul made his way to take something, that someone else wanted, Jani moved along with Itzul. The tribes are more important than fish people. Plus, in Jani's mind, Itzul earned it with his killing blow.
  2740.
  2741. "He's right y'know."
  2742. (Jani)
  2743. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2744.
  2745. [21:03] Feiyan Taiyang says, ".. Right."
2746. [21:03] Kim Se-young says, "J. Just after I thaw out of course."
2747. [21:03] Feiyan Taiyang says, "Katash. I challenge you for yours."
2748. [21:03] Katash says, "Sure, can we wait til we got home first? You can scream your attacks better there."
2749. [21:03] Feiyan Taiyang says, "I suppose so."
2750. [21:03] {NARRATION} Two rabbits squabble - though is the green hare up for the contest?
  2751.
  2752. Carnivore? More like... pescatarian!
  2753.
2754. And of course, the writhing tentacle has several people's interests. (Itzul vs Siren of choice)
  2755.
2756. In the chaos and confrontation, it likely won't be long before the crews depart.
2757. [21:04] Murtock quickly moved over to stand near his brother as Itzul approached demanding a piece of their god's emissary. "Nay." He responded swiftly, "Tha' be th'one thing what belongs t'us."
  2758.
2759. It was only fair after all, "We gave yer chance t'talk t'yer god an' now ya be wantin' a piece o' ours."
  2760. (Murtock Reave)
  2761. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2762.
2763. [21:04] The Quartermaster stepped up immediately.
  2764.
2765. "No, ya ain't. Ya want tha whole Deep Company swarming ya, keep try'n ta contest it."
  2766.
2767. She seemed rather set on that, a hand drifting to one of her weapons -the appropriately named Kraken's Teeth. Mind, it was mainly a show of support. She had no doubt Maertock or Murtock'd put an end to such complaints in short order.
  2768. (Anne orn Salis)
  2769. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2770.
  2771. [21:04] Hell no.
  2772.
2773. Leibos put himself on path to intercept. The tentacle was theirs, by rights, and nothing would convince him otherwise.
  2774.
2775. "You won't have it. Go pick a crystal, if you so care, but the tentacle is ours."
  2776.
2777. His sword was still drawn, and the Vice-Captain did not seem loathe to use it. He stared at Itzul, eyes cold as ice.
  2778. (Leibos)
  2779. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2780.
2781. [21:05] Shining Sparkle exclaims, "So, so, so!"
2782. [21:05] Shining Sparkle asks, "What'll it be?"
2783. [21:05] Maertock would turn a glance on the greedy cat, the sticky whispers of the depths interrupted by his yammering. The captain of the Deep Company couldn't help but cackle with amusement at that, staring down the boy with nothing less than a crocodile's grin.
  2784.
2785. "Ain't we already please you tribes enough by not eating the spirit cat? Naughty naughty, you ain't got the mind to handle what this thing's pawning."
  2786.
2787. The captain of the Deep Company didn't appear particularly non-plussed by the matter, knowing even if the tribal received it, another herald of his whispers would merely be born. Of course, Maertock was oft more laid back than his crew.
  2788.
2789. "Sure, you wanna dance for it when all of us took it down? You meet Murtock?"
  2790. (Maertock Reave)
  2791. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2792.
2793. [21:06] The rabbit didn't look like she cared to fight. In fact, she seemed rather content with the two trying to see who could grab it first.
  2794. (Ter Lunae Vine)
  2795. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2796.
2797. [21:06] Ter Lunae Vine says, "So no gemstone unless I fight? I don't see the point when it's right there."
2798. [21:07] Kim Se-young says, "Aren't you Moxtli? Combat is the battle order."
2799. [21:07] Kim Se-young says, "You ought to bleed for a few of your things, you know. "
2800. [21:07] Cracking her knuckles, Shining Sparkle promptly pulls out her staff and taps the bottom of it against the cold hard floor.
  2801.
2802. A wave of sand swells up to swallow Ter whole. Gently, given that she was an ally.
  2803.
2804. But a fight was a fight and she'd fight for her right for the stone.
  2805. (Shining Sparkle)
  2806. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2807.
2808. [21:07] Ter Lunae Vine says, "So? I don't get the point. It's there. It's there."
2809. [21:07] Itzcali turns the obsidian rock over a few times, then glances to his brother.
  2810.
2811. "Itzul, we have no use for the tendril of a krakken. Give it to our allies in the Deep Company and let us be on our way." His sibling probably would not listen, but he would not intervene if the nagual's heart was set on taking a giant, wiggling mash of sea creature home to cuddle with.
  2812. (Itzcali)
  2813. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2814.
2815. [21:08] Ter Lunae Vine says, "Oh. Your knuckles are loud when they crack! Okay. I just want to pick up the obsidian though, but we can fight."
2816. [21:08] Ixcatzin says, "Hey, Itzul."
2817. [21:08] Kim , as intended, would be the vanguard for Itzcali.
  2818. (Kim Se-young)
  2819. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2820.
2821. [21:08] Ixcatzin says, "I'll fight you for it."
2822. [21:08] The former shaman's voice booms out once more.
  2823.
2824. "Don't forget what my brother said." He pauses for a moment, as he wracks his brain for the information he so desperately yearns for. Then it hits him.
  2825.
2826. "If you have an issue with contesting loot, fight with one another here. And let it be forgotten after the winner is decided."
  2827.
2828. A slow nod of his head follows, as he repeats his brother's statement. Juuust to make sure everyone heard it.
  2829. (Gou Meztin)
  2830. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2831.
2832. [21:08] Shining Sparkle exclaims, "Don't worry! It shouldn't hurt... much!"
2833. [21:08] Tono`tli says, "This has been a nice bonding adventure. Tono feels like we're all a little bit closer."
2834. [21:08] Jani says, "Ixy, shush."
2835. [21:09] Kim Se-young asks, "Feel a little better about humans yet?"
2836. [21:09] Ixcatzin says, "You shush."
2837. [21:09] Eiji remains idly for the time being. A low hum is held as he rolls a hand along his own treasure he'd snagged earlier on.
  2838. (Eiji)
  2839. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2840.
2841. [21:09] Ixcatzin says, "I'm just teasing, we have no need for a stinking tentacle."
2842. [21:09] D'noxa Aba says, "Same Tono, same."
  2843. [21:09] Itzcali says, "Honestly. "
2844. [21:09] Jani says, "Then give Itzul one of the rocks."
2845. [21:09] Ixcatzin says, "He'll probably end up eating it, or something weird."
2846. [21:09] Eiji says, "The tentacle should be their's..! It's dumb, dumb for us to fight over it. Back away little rabbit and Itzul..."
2847. [21:09] Murtock Reave says, "I don't care what he be plannin' fer 'is tush."
2848. [21:09] Ixcatzin says, "Look at him go."
2849. [21:09] Murtock Reave says, "It be ours."
  2850. [21:09] Leibos says, "Aye."
  2851. [21:09] Itzcali says, "He's a little dumb."
2852. [21:09] Itzcali says, "But look at him go."
  2853. [21:09] Ixcatzin says, "For the eldest--just a bit."
2854. [21:09] Ixcatzin says, "He has fire."
2855. [21:09] Gou Meztin says, "Aye."
2856. [21:09] Eiji says, "Beyond fair, even."
2857. [21:09] Katja does not even begin to think twice before throwing herself at Carnivore, displaying her improved swordswomanship against the endless maw of carnivorous plants. Blood flows from each wound caused by the nature magi, fueling her own magic in return.
  2858.
2859. Each swipe of the saber cuts through the growing underbrush, her free hand ripping through the wall of plants to get to the core of it all. There was little mercy with this exchange over this item, yet there was no animosity in her eyes.
  2860.
2861. There was something she wanted. Carnivore was in the way.
  2862.
2863. When an opportunity struck, Katja discards her sword by throwing it as a distraction, before gripping the plant-controller by the neck and kneeing her in the stomach.
  2864.
2865. "This is mine now. Try not to get in the way next time."
  2866.
2867. Carnivore is literally discarded; thrown to the wayside as she closes her own wound and daintily picks up her sword.
  2868.
  2869. "It was fun, though."
  2870. (Katja)
  2871. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2872.
2873. [21:10] "The kraken was our hunt, its spoils belong to us. I'd be willing to barter in the near future, but for the time being..
  2874.
  2875. It's mine."
  2876.
2877. The sense of union he felt prior? Dissipated as quickly as their foes did. He wasn't leaving empty handed, he wouldn't concede to the pirates. Not after what his people went through; what Jani endured.
  2878. (Itzul)
  2879. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2880.
2881. [21:10] Ixcatzin says, "Let's have a conversation sometime, Itzcali."
2882. [21:10] "Then fight for it."
  2883.
2884. With that, the shaman shrugged his shoulders, as he let out a yawn. Seems like he'd get to watch another fight this day.
  2885.
  2886. Glorious.
  2887. (Gou Meztin)
  2888. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2889.
2890. [21:11] Tono`tli says, "Nooo. Only humans, Captain."
2891. [21:11] Katja says, "The crystal, or a person? "
2892. [21:11] Jani says, "You fine with the rock everyone wants instead Itzul? Then you're not leaving empty handed."
  2893. [21:12] Tono`tli smiles.
  2894. (Tono`tli)
  2895. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2896.
  2897. [21:12] Tono`tli says, "Much thanks."
2898. [21:12] Carnivore would fall back from the Obsidian, having been defeated. It seemed she was at a disadvantage against this one...
  2899. (Carnivore)
  2900. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2901.
2902. [21:12] The Quartermaste glanced to the rest of her crew.
  2903.
2904. "Ain't it funny that we're tha ones bein' the more respectful o' the other's religion?"
  2905.
2906. A frown was directed at the Tribesmen staking a claim on the piece of the Deep One's herald. Then again, Murtock was pretty much about to take him apart, so it wasn't such a big deal.
  2907.
2908. "An after we showed our respect by leavin' tha Panther be 'stead'a keeping up tha hunt."
  2909. (Anne orn Salis)
  2910. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2911.
  2912. [21:13] "So you'll fight for it."
  2913.
2914. Leibos kept staring at Itzul. It had only been minutes since he'd been laughing and grinning at the victory, yet now, he was deathly serious. This was not something he'd back down over.
  2915.
2916. "Take the crystal if you want a trophy. This one is ours, and you will NOT have it."
  2917.
2918. His sword was still drawn. The merman gave Murtock a sidelong glance, before turning his attention back to Itzul.
  2919. (Leibos)
  2920. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2921.
2922. [21:13] Okay. Unsurprisingly, she lost. She wasn't a fighter anyway and they were minor wounds. Better than the alternative.
  2923.
2924. "Ok, you can keep it. At least tell me the carat size though! I also want to know the cut, the shine, weight and overall quality!"
  2925. (Ter Lunae Vine)
  2926. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2927.
2928. [21:14] They wanted to keep contesting it and the Moxtli respected the right of the honor duel. Murtock's pistol never returned to the holster during the battle and now it raised to point at Itzul.
  2929.
2930. "Alrigh' then, y'can fight me fer it an' if ya win then it be your own. Yer folk'll witness." A pause, "An' if ya win I be leavin' it, if I win an' ya keep whinin' or stirrin' shite for it I'll kill ya."
  2931.
2932. Bold and brazen words, but it was the way of things- Surely the Moxtli would understand since he had tried to lobby for their right to speak with some revered being or other.
  2933.
2934. He really did need to speak more to Gou and D'noxa about their religion. "So le's go, lad." The healing waters returned to coat his frame in a silvery-blue light ready to mend his wounds.
  2935. (Murtock Reave)
  2936. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2937.
2938. [21:14] … Eiji wasn't sure what it was, but the duo of the clans nearby the tentacle were getting annoying. Turning his gaze towards Itzul and Jani he'd draw in a slow breath. To perform or not to perform...
  2939.
2940. "We had our share, that tentacle is theirs. They showed respect, so we should as well! Now, back away." The Kitsune commanded towards Itzul and Jani. Withdrawing the manasaber the revolving chambers of the weapon click one by one.
  2941.
2942. Despite allegiances even a performer knew a fair trade. Though if the Sirenians wanted to swing first? He's not to stop them.
  2943. (Eiji)
  2944. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2945.
2946. [21:14] The fight ended swiftly and with the entertainer going wholly unscathed. However, as she'd promised, she was gentle the through. She wasn't going to draw her people's blood for a rock if it could be helped.
  2947.
2948. Once the sand had enveloped Ter fully, a final condensed bolt is tossed towards her chest to knock her down into the fine, grainy pile awaiting below.
  2949.
2950. Shining Sparkle herself would sweep up her prize after the fact to pocket it, a grin displayed to her fellow Lapine. It was all in good spirit.
  2951.
2952. "You should be proud of yourself for fighting at all! If I can figure that stuff out, I promise I'll let you know!"
  2953. (Shining Sparkle)
  2954. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2955.
2956. [21:15] To nobody's surprise, the sirenians had plundered the panther's spirit. In Caddock's hand was a lump of obsidian gifted to them by the departing spirit. Brows scrunched as he turned to the offering man.
  2957.
2958. "I want two pieces. Your people did not leave empty-handed. I'm an Azcatli, not an idiot."
  2959. (Itzul)
  2960. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2961.
2962. [21:15] Caddock Reave says, "Aye."
2963. [21:15] Caddock Reave says, "Then yer' fighting Murtock."
2964. [21:15] Caddock Reave says, "Enjoy."
2965. [21:15] Leibos says, "Then go fight."
2966. [21:15] Gou Meztin says, "Good luck."
  2967. [21:15] Talacael Meztin says, "..."
2968. [21:15] Eiji says, "Go on! Fight the big one. Talk the talk, walk the walk. Be a fool, play the part."
  2969. [21:15] D'noxa Aba says, "Good luck."
2970. [21:15] Shining Sparkle exclaims, "Talacael, I got a black rock!"
2971. [21:15] Ter Lunae Vine asks, "What's the snake thing?"
