  1. Musou Orochi - Jump Testbed
  2. (Fluffless Proof of Concept - 5%)
  3. [Composite]
  4. A rift in time and space opens up, and forcibly drags people from different places and different times all into a single world - the Dimensional World. The ruler of the Dimensional World, Orochi, has mobilized an army in preparation for this - and quickly, entire countries dragged here through this act of planar abduction are conquered. The few who manage to resist are heroes and warlords from different worlds - but they'll have to band together in order to overcome the hurdles ahead. You too, will find yourself roughly deposited in the Dimensional World - and to find a way out, you're going to first need to get rid of all these distractions.
  5.
  6. It seems that a man called Orochi is the cause of all this...
  7.
  8. (Meta Details)
  9. The full events of MO1 and 2 occur back to back, and conclude within a year of your arrival. The events of MO3 occur 5 years after the end of MO2. For all intents and purposes, the Good Ending of MO3 will be taken as canon, rather than the True Ending - this is in line with the Ultimate version.
  10. Age roll is 15 + 1d8.
  11. Gender is freely chosen.
  12. No races, but perk tree is forecasted to be very heavy.
  13. Four Backgrounds - Drop In, Three Kingdoms, Sengoku, Mystic. Mystic is the only one with a CP cost for entry, at 500.
  14. Some backgrounds will have sub trees (4 for 3K, 3 for Sengoku thus far.)
  15. Locations, 1d8 roll: 1) Cheng Du 2) Odani Castle 3) Nan Zhong 4) Osaka Castle 5) Bai Di Castle 6) Sekigahara 7) He Fei Castle. Regardless of *where* you end up, you're going to start off close to a fight.
  16.
  17. =Core Class Concepts=
  18. Each line will most likely run 1/2/4/6
  19. -Drop In-
  20. -Once again, game concepts run predominantly in the Drop In Line, as well as some things related to the game's own story.
  21. *[Musou Battlefields] 1
  22. *[Type Swapping] 2
  23. *[Yashioori] 2
  24. *[True Musou] 4
  25. *[Mirror of Divinity] 6
  26. -3K/Shu-
  27. -Shu runs off of its Dynasty Warriors stereotypes rather than its more historical roots. DW Shu was all about JUSTICE, whereas historical Shu was arguably very fortunate, though much of its luck was squandered away as time passed. Focused on virtue, allies, and bonds.
  28. *[Notions of Virtue] 1
  29. *[Pursuit of Justice] 2
  30. *[Memory of an Oath] 2
  31. *[Necessary Measures] 2
  32. *[Wooden Oxen] 4
  33. *[Stone Soldier Formation] 4
  34. *[Winds of Propriety] 6
  35. -3K/Wu-
  36. -Similarly, Wu also runs off of its many stereotypes. DW Wu was all about "FIRE FIRE FIRE + pretty boys", whereas historical Wu was a tragic success story (With many capable individuals who died before their prime). Focused on FIRE, NAVAL SUPERIORITY, and TIGERS
  37. *[Notions of Necessity] 1
  38. *[TIGERS OF JIANG DONG] 2
  39. *[Poison Arrows] 2
  40. *[A River Where There was None] 2
  41. *[Moored on Heavy Seas: Chain Stratagem] 2
  42. *[A Wave of Fire] 4
  43. *[The Tide Turns] 4
  44. *[The Art of War] 6
  45. -3K/Wei-
  46. -Wei's stereotypes as a villainous power hungry state are rather amped up in DW (mostly because they took one quote of Cao Cao rather literally.) As a result however, they tend to downplay Wei's actual capability - because RoTK almost did as well. Focused on NUMBERS CAUSE WE CAN FUND IT!, LARGE ASS ARMIES, and playing people against each other likes fools.
  47. *[Notions of Pragmatism] 1
  48. *[Solid Foundations] 2
  49. *[Borrow One's Knife, Stab One's Enemy] 2
  50. *[Rather I Betray the World...] 2
  51. *[...Than For the World to Betray Me] 4
  52. *[Force Multiplication] 4
  53. *[Imperial Decree] 6
  54. -3K/Sengoku 1-
  55. -Covering folks like Nobunaga, Uesugi, Takeda, and Date, unfortunately the Sengoku folks are organized so terribly that I can't properly 1/2/4/6 them and still expect even representation. So I'm not even going to try. I *may* end up merging all of the Sengoku together and simply have everybody all lump summed into one large branch. This first group of Sengoku is focused on hard warfare - not unlike Wei.
  56. *[Notions of Warfare] 1
  57. *[Shadow Ops] Hanzo/Kunoichi 2
  58. *[Firing Squad] Magoichi/Date 2
  59. *[The Temple Burns] Mitsuhide 2
  60. *[Tiger's Four Edicts*] Takeda 4
  61. *[With Swords and Spears] Uesugi 4
  62. *[Tenka Fubu] Nobunaga 6
  63. -3K/Sengoku 2-
  64. -The second group of Sengoku is no better, split with people like Honda, Shimazu, Fuuma, Naoe, and Tachibana. The second group however, is a bit more esoteric, focused on more "magical" elements.
  65. *[Notions of Diplomacy] 1
  66. *[The Ninja's Shadow Magic*] Fuuma 2
  67. *[The Advisor's Ritual Seals*] Naoe 2
  68. *[The Bat King's Melody] Motochika 2
  69. *[One With the Lightning] Tachibana 4
  70. *[Valley of Fire] Shimazu 4
  71. *[Peerless Edge Without Equal] Tadakatsu 6
  72. -3K/Sengoku 3-
  73. -FUCK IT DIDN'T GET ANY BETTER. The last group of Sengoku has the most ridiculous of the cast, since most of the key figures have been already placed in the first two groups. Conceptually, I'm very tempted to not even bother with a full list of perks. All of these perks are very esoteric in nature.
  74. *[Notions of Profession] 1
  75. *[Master of Thievery] Goemon 2
  76. *[Preaching from a Distant Shore] Gracia/Aya 2
  77. *[Six Spear Summoning] Hojo 2
  78. *[Blade From an Oar] Miyamoto 4
  79. *[Washing Poles] Kojiro 4
  80. *[5 Rings] Miyamoto (AGAIN) 6
  81. -Mystic-
  82. -In comparison to Sengoku, the Mystics are rather easy to sort out. Each perk is tied to a certain mystic, or a certain element related to that mystic. Mystics do not follow a 1/2/4/6 pattern. The entire tree has no discounts.
  83. *[Deific Qualities] 0
  84. *[Deity's Weapon] 0
  85. *[Single Aspect Representation] 0
  86. *[Eternal Flame Wheels] 1 Nezha
  87. *[Manipulation into Ruin] 1 Da Ji
  88. *[Form Concealment] 1 Tamamo
  89. *[Idol's Dance] 1 Sanzang
  90. *[Devil's Brew] 3 Shuten Doji
  91. *[Omniscient Awareness] 3 Taigong Wang
  92. *[Cards of Fate] 3 Zuo Ci
  93. *[A Glance in Time] 3 Kaguya
  94. *[Extension] 3 Sun Wukong
  95. *[The Dragon] 6 Shennong
  96. *[An Army At Your Beck and Call] 6 Susano'o
  97. -Additional General Perks (Covering Other Generals, and just General Things)-
  98. *[Whistle!] 1
  99. *[Beguiling Glances] 1
  100. *[Lu Bu Among Men] 2
  101. *[Weapon Synthesis] 2
  102. *[Among Friendly Faces] 2
  103. *[Shin Musou Burst] 2
  104. *[Slayer of 1000] 3
  105.
  106. =Companions=

  155. *Allows its wearer to use musou attacks, or helps the energy charge faster.
  156. Seven Branched Sword (2)
  157. *A sword with seven weird extensions jutting out.
  158. *It has a neat effect of stopping the regeneration of whatever it cuts.
  159. Hua Tuo's Treatise on Medicine (2)
  160. *All of your healing seems to have improved by quite a bit.
  161. *It teaches you some ancient medicine skills, including pressure point theories, flow of energy, and so forth.
  162. *With it, you could probably figure out how to manipulate your own pressure points and those of others.
  163. Mystic Bells (2)
  164. *Oddly enough, when you wear these, items that fall to the ground from enemies you dispatch will slowly drift towards you.
  165. *You also seem to be able to call your companions to you, if they're out of sight, with these bells.

  174. *You can summon a very temporary Stone Soldier formation with this.
  175. *Enemies trapped inside get lost, but really there's not much to escaping it.

  184. *The book allows readers to pick up basic fundamentals of skills - though it can't help them develop it.
  185. Heaven's Paintbrush (3)
  186. *AKA. Lu Bu's Ji (Spear)

  190. =Drawbacks=
  191. Similarly, this is just a list with threat priorities.
  192. Was this...really who they were historically? (0)
  193. +Everybody seems to have their genders flipped.
  194. +They seem to act as if this is completely normal.
  195. +You have a disturbing feeling that this probably is not the case.
  196. Falling Morale (1)
  197. +No matter what, people can't seem to be motivated, and fights you find yourself in will always be desperate situations.
  198. Outnumbered (1)
  199. +There appears to be an endless horde of enemies, when you go into a battle always expect to be outnumbered to almost 50:1 ratios.
  200. Outmaneuvered (1)
  201. +No matter what you do, the enemy strategist always seems to know of your plans and actions.
  202. Lu Who? (1)
  203. +You have no clue who any of these people are, and for some odd reason, nobody seems to remember your name, and vice versa. Be careful when they start warning you about a Lu Bu.
  204. YOU FLAMING IDIOTS (1)
  205. +It seems that everybody in the Dimensional World has gotten a bit hammy. Expect over the top introductions and grand, ineffectual displays.
  206. Outplayed (2)
  207. +The enemy is moving far faster than your forces can go at. If it was just a matter of speed that would be manageable - but on top of that, the enemy seems to have planted double agents everywhere, who will actively attempt to undermine your efforts.
  208. Communication Breakdown (2)
  209. +You don't speak their language, and they don't speak yours. Actually, most of them have trouble speaking to each other. Don't expect any meetings to go very well.
  210. STOP PURSUING THEM (2)
  211. +Why are you always chasing after Lu Bu and Tadakatsu Honda?
  212. +Or rather, why do you keep running into them?
  213. +Why do they never die?
  214. +...And why do they want to kill you so badly?
  215. Glory Lies For Those Who Reach For It (3)
  216. +Every single mook is as strong as the legendary Lu Bu.
  217. +Hey, we did say if you wanted glory you should reach out for it yourself!
  218. History Remembers Its Winners (3)
  219. +You can't seem to remember anyone who has died.
  220. +In fact, nobody seems to die. That mook that got decapitated just reappears seconds later, unharmed.
  221. +How are you going to bring balance to the Dimensional World if you're stuck in an endless stalemate between immortals?
  222. +Everybody is hell bent on killing you - the only mortal in the world.
  223. No Rest For The Living (3)
  224. +Your state of mind is permanently depressed in the face of all the death happening around you.
  225. +But from the moment you enter this world, you won't ever find time to take a break from fighting.
  226. +That's right, there's an infinite amount of enemies, enough to hound you for ten years.
  227. +Expect a good deal of allies to be killed in the flood of enemies.
  228. +If you try to flee, they will warp in on you by the millions.
  229. The Serpent God (6)
  230. +Orochi has taken your items away from you, as well as your companions.
  231. +A seal is placed on you, binding your powers.
  232. +In this realm, you won't have any allies, but you'll need to fight your way to Orochi and hopefully free your companions.
  233. +Your powers will come back slowly as large amounts of Orochi's forces die.
  234. +Your powers will dip every time there is a substantial amount of enemies nearby.
  235. +The enemy is always aware of your location.
  236. =Scenarios=
  237. 3 Scenarios Thus Far.
  238. DLC Faction Scenario
  239. A Scenario for the DLC folk (who really show up in MO:3 only)
  240. A Look At The Distant Past
  241. What if, the fight had started all the way back when Orochi started his rebellion?
  242. As If Things Weren't Chaotic Enough
  243. An absolute chaos scenario.
