  4. The city of Evalon had been left in ruin, the screams of the citizens had echoed through the streets as they moved frantically away from what can only be believed as the center of the chaos.
  5. Despite most of the obvious warning, someone had still managed to make their own way through the rubble and chaos caused by that of the people who kept with their wits and decided to evacuate, but for some reason they chose to just further themselves into the center of obvious destruction.
  6. As the figure stood to the light it had been that of a woman of slightly greater than average height, and peach skin which had been seemingly bleached or lost its own beauty. Her own hair had been that of a dark tone similar to that of the dark ash which laid beneath her feet, and eyes which seemed rather lost in thought.
  7. She continued to step through the rubble, as if it was the only direction she could truly go, as the other paths beside her laid shut-off by the shattered concrete which laid around. She managed to make her way across the grounds which had been laid to waste and turned into that of a chaotic battlefield, and as she stood to one of the tallest pillars she could find she came to witness the destruction that the city was forced to bear.
  8. The area surrounding what could only be nicknamed "Ground Zero" of the presumed battle had been ruptured, as forces strong enough to create earthquakes of times many magnitudes tore through the land, sending buildings off their foundations, creating forces of a great scale to send the clouds parting from one another, and a crater at the center of it all.
  9. While this sight had been breaking to most, to the woman it seemed to be too common to her own eyes. The image and cycle of stepping through the destroyed land had come to her like the rise of the sun. She had just come to deem it as her usual routine, looking upon the grim and broken apart city, and frowning before being forced to relive it all again. However, this time had seemed to be different. She could see further off into the distance, and the darkened center of the crater seemed to lighten, seemingly inviting her to venture toward it. And so, losing herself in a moment of curiosity she made her way forward, stepping through the dust and holding her sleeve to her lips to avoid breathing it into her own lungs.
  10. What had been minutes of approaching the center had seemingly stretched into hours, as if as a result of hesitation. She had never seemed to make it this far, and as she had finally reached her destination she had come to wish that she had decided to stay away. Her eyes had widened in shock and her breathing became heavy as she lightly stampered back on her feet losing all sense of composure.
  11. The view which she had chosen to bear was that of the mangled body of the Guardian, one of the many protectors of the city, and a past friend of the woman. A sickened and disgusted expression crossed her own, she held her palm over her pupils to avoid looking upon them. However, despite the horror which fell upon her she drew the courage to continue stepping forward, but upon doing so it had just caused her to drop to her own knees, and holding her hand over her lips to avoid vomiting upon the ground. She couldn't help but let out a light wince as she scraped her knees upon the solid gravel, and in a moment of denial she begun to beg and pray in an inaudible fashion. Seemingly crawling forward in order to take a better look at the other body which laid before her. It had been the bloodied and mangled body a blonde haired man.
  12. The woman's eyes and body seemed to panic, seemingly shaking as she quickly scurried to him despite the pain which had been present in the caps of her knees. "J-Jack! N-N-N-No, why- why are you here?! Y-You shouldn't be... w-wake up. P-Please, wake up!" The woman had screamed, her own words becoming more choked up the more she spoke, and her call just falling on the grim silence amongst the ruins. She attempted to take hold of him, just perching his head and torso within her own arms. "Y-You're stronger than me, so please god.. Get back up!" She managed to get through her own lips, as tears came streaming down and washing away the ash on her cheeks.
  13. Just as she managed to brush the small pieces of debris and dust off the man's own scalp her head had been forced to raise, as she could feel the very world collapsing around her, and with that everything had went white.

  19. From the white she had come to, her own eyes looking had fallen upon a maple brown wooden countertop, and the music of what can only be presumed to be a bar had met her own ears, before being deafened by the thoughts which begun to run rampant throughout her own mind.
  20. She could be seen with cold sweats, as her previously darkened eyes seemed to turn to a fiere silver, accidentally knocking over the glass which had been perched beside her. The sound of the glass shattering and shaking up her nerves, forcing her to take hold of her own chest.
  21. Her shaken up expression was that which caught most of the eyes upon the small establishment, and even that of the bartender and before they could speak she had quickly headed out of the bar with her breath continuing to be let out in a heavy and rushed huff.
  22. She made her way to the open streets, attempting to make her way to the outside air in order to think. She couldn't help but allow her mind to run in thought. All of this time she believed this had just been some sick illusion or game that someone had been playing, but this all seemed to real. Her intuition, power, and most certainly her own mind knew this all had to be either true or just... a dream? No. It was a good way to avoid the topic at hand, just brushing it off as a simple dream or manifestation of her own mind but it couldn't be that. Her abilities weren't as great to show these in that great of detail, but maybe it had been the result of the constant visions of the destruction of her own home.
  23. Before she could get a hold of everything passing through her head she could feel the ground beneath her begin to quake. Her eyes had began to gleam a fiery silver, and as the tremors continued to send pressure throughout the streets, cracking the very asphalt and concrete roads. And as these tremors had continued, she had come to realize what they had meant.
  24. Within moments a building in the distance had begun to shake, before something had erupted from the roof sent the building off its own axis. The figure on inspection had been a mutated looking created, its features grotesque and out of proportion that born of nightmare. A Stained?
  25. The woman's body went back in confusion, just turning her head in thought. What had one of those beasts been doing among the building? Then being forced to a stop once more her heart seemed to slow down in its quick beat.
  26. "Jack... W-What did they let you become..." She muttered clenching her chest once more, the tears slowly sliding down onto her cheeks as the figure crashed square center into the city. Within the moment the wind kicked up, the ground shattering once more as something seemed to race by them at incomprehensible speeds in response to the sirens which blared throughout the streets as a warning. It was him, the Guardian. And as the woman fell to her feet once more she had come to realize... this was the day they died. With a single explosive burst of wind of force from the distance, it had sent everything crashing down like before, and the world into a void of white light.
