- - Guillaume Shin filled in very well as the team libero. The 24 year old did an excellent job in succession from Adrian Rezende Souza.
- - Outside Hitter depth very inconsistent, so lots of substitutions throughout the tournament which worked well up until the final. Yi Joon-Cheol merited consideration for the Tournament MVP but Milan Jang got old, while McGuinness and Mendoza were still very green
