[23:07]	[GM]Moltar	[Another day progresses in the city of Breslau. Although the sun and clouds look just like they did forever ago, when a small blue steam car passed across the red line, the entirety of the surroundings; the buildings, the people, the air itself- seem unearthly. That same steam car is found in the middle of the city, with several adjacent figures, as three forces converge upon each other within their view in a sea of sound and discord.]
[23:13]	[Owen]Katherine	has already left the intrepid group. She has a new purpose now...
[23:15]	[Mar]Mia	sighs...this is why she doesn't let civilians travel with her....
[23:19]	[Rut]Ilsa	Doctor, how far are we from the city limits?
[23:20]	[Rut]Ilsa	is a civilian...
[23:20]	Raymond	Probably a couple hours' drive, but I don't know how easy it would be to get through...
[23:22]	[Mar]Mia	Is this adviseable with one of our parties missing?
[23:25]	[GM]Moltar	[Katherine, while moving towards the battle, can see the strangely distinguishable figure of the Major move towards the battle, far ahead of her. Running parallel to her, seemingly chasing the figure, is the researcher, who is injured from earlier and looks panicked, with little trace of his self-assured demeanor from before.]
[23:28]	[Rut]Ilsa	Katherine... has gone her own way. There's nothing we can do for her.
[23:28]	[Rut]Ilsa	Right now, what's important is that we make it out alive.
[23:29]	[Mar]Mia	If we need to Raymond, we'll fight but we're not equipped for an all out battle sir.
[23:30]	[GM]Moltar	Researcher: No! If he goes it'll all fall apart! Without his fortitude... his fortitude... I was a hero! We were going to change everything, and we would be above... everything! It can't all be gone! It can't...!
[23:32]	Raymond	seems rather distant, looking at the battle unfold.
[23:32]	[Owen]Katherine	grimaces. Even at the end these people still run about to annoy her...
[23:34]	[Rut]Ilsa	...
[23:34]	[Rut]Ilsa	watches Raymond silently. She has an idea what he's thinking.
[23:35]	Dia	, however, doesn't think. Her sole objective is being right besides Ray when he needs her. And she is doing it. Everything else comes second.
[23:36]	[GM]Moltar	[The researcher draws a revolver from one of his pockets and fires wildly into the air. One of the outermost of the Colonel's men runs up from beside him and knocks him down, spraying him with submachine gun fire once he's hit the ground. After a moment, the soldier reloads his weapon without a lapse in determination or focus and continues to fire at the man, who is clearly already dead.]
[23:36]	[Owen]Katherine	smiles at the spectacle.
[23:37]	[Owen]Katherine	"...Finally. An insignificant end to an insignificant man."
[23:38]	Raymond	Why... why aren't the Colonel's men and the demonics attacking each other...?
[23:38]	Raymond	sounds incredulous as he says so, pointing in the direction of the battle.
[23:38]	Dia	They... Team up?
[23:38]	Dia	point the obvious.
[23:39]	[GM]Moltar	[It's true. The demonics and the Colonel's men seem to only be attacking those with the Major.]
[23:39]	Dia	Ray. Ray.
[23:39]	Dia	tugs on Raymond's sleeve
[23:39]	[Rut]Ilsa	... I don't know, but we still need to escape.
[23:39]	Dia	We are what team?
[23:40]	[Rut]Ilsa	seems troubled by this, too, but says nothing of it.
[23:40]	[Rut]Ilsa	We're just civilians, Dia. Getting out is what's most important.
[23:40]	[Owen]Katherine	still makes a note to keep a wide berth of the Major. Must stay far away from anyone who might care about her...
[23:40]	Dia	nods.
[23:40]	Dia	no team.
[23:41]	Raymond	pops up the hood of the car to see if it's still working.
[23:41]	[Owen]Katherine	keeps sneaking up bit by bit, gun in one hand and vial in the other. She's still nervous about breaking it.
[23:44]	[Rut]Ilsa	Has it broken down?
[23:47]	Raymond	...It's underpowered, but it'll run.
[23:48]	[Owen]Katherine	scans the fighting all around her. There's got to be a good way through...
[23:50]	[GM]Moltar	[Katherine, after looking for a moment, finally can see the Captain, recognizable from when they rode with the Colonel. The Captain is in a kneeling position off to the side of the fray, firing an automatic rifle in short bursts and occasionally shouting an order and gesturing. Near the front of the battle is what is clearly the command tank, recognizable largely because of the phrase "SUM ERGO COGITO" scrawled across the turret and th
[23:50]	[GM]Moltar	silhouette of the Colonel, standing slightly out of the cupola, visible through the smoke. There isn't anyone between Kat and either one of the two at the moment...]
[23:56]	[Owen]Katherine	focuses on the Colonel. She talked a straight game, unlike MOST of the people around here...
[23:56]	[Owen]Katherine	wonders if trying to rendezvous with her would help. So many lies with this army... so much uncertainty...
[23:58]	[GM]Moltar	[At the same time, a large group of demonics detaches from the swarm and heads directly for the rest of the group and their car, surrounding them but making no other move.]
[23:58]	[Owen]Katherine	"I am, therefore, I think..."
[00:02]	[Owen]Katherine	checks to the right and to the left. It's clear. She might make it... And if she's uncertain she can just keep the vial a secret for the moment...
[00:07]	[Owen]Katherine	takes a chance. She stays low and doesn't aim for a direct path to the Colonel, opting to veer aside for cover as often as possible.
[00:07]	Raymond	looks around nervously at the sudden demonics.
[00:08]	[Mar]Mia	We must remain quiet here...
[00:10]	Raymond	When did they get so organized? How...
[00:10]	[Rut]Ilsa	...
[00:11]	Dia	...
[00:11]	Dia	stays quiet for everyone's safety
[00:11]	[Rut]Ilsa	has no answer. She remains quiet and alert as she has for this entire nightmare. Her reasons for doing so haven't changed, either; it is all her worthless hide can offer to these people...
[00:12]	[GM]Moltar	[The demonics begin to close in, step by step, although they're still at a reasonable distance.]
[00:12]	[Rut]Ilsa	takes aim.
[00:14]	[Rut]Ilsa	draws a line in her mind, some distance away from them. The moment a demonic crosses it, she is determined to start firing for better or worse.
[00:14]	[GM]Moltar	[The demonics speed up a little, seeming slightly more... assured, somehow.]
[00:14]	[Mar]Mia	This isn't good... we have to move now.
[00:14]	[Mar]Mia	Sir. What are you orders?
[00:15]	Raymond	I'll start the car. If they get too close, open fire.
[00:15]	Raymond	gets in behind the driver's seat, although he doesn't close the door so he isn't trapped inside.
[00:16]	[Rut]Ilsa	is way ahead of him. She makes sure her barrel is level for a clean sweep across head-level for the mass of approaching bodies.
[00:18]	[Mar]Mia	You heard him.
[00:18]	[Mar]Mia	Give him some cover while he starts the car.
[00:18]	Dia	*ka-clack*
[00:20]	[Owen]Katherine	finally manages to scramble across the lines of battle and make it to the... "Think Tank".
[00:20]	[Owen]Katherine	[=-= I deserve to be slapped for that one]
[00:20]	Dia	I going to shoot na! It very close na!
[00:20]	[Mar]Mia	takes aim with only one of her revolver. BAM. One down. BAM! Another.
[00:20]	Dia	is taking aim.
[00:21]	Dia	Yaaah!
[00:21]	Dia	squeeze a few as soon as the first shot rang out. It hits, but don't know about the damage.
[00:23]	[Owen]Katherine	shouts up to the woman above her.
[00:24]	[Owen]Katherine	"Colonel Carraza! Private Katherine N. Owen, requesting permission to come aboard!"
[00:26]	[GM]Moltar	[The Colonel immediately and deftly climbs out of the hatch and drops over the side of the turret, extending a hand to Katherine. Even from this angle, her eyes are difficult to see.]
[00:26]	[GM]Moltar	Colonel: Sworn in, are we?
[00:30]	[Owen]Katherine	pockets the vial and grabs the hand.
[00:30]	[Owen]Katherine	"Not exactly, ma'am. Just trying to recognize chain of command."
[00:31]	[GM]Moltar	[Katherine is quickly vaulted aboard; although the Colonel grunts with effort, she makes it seem almost effortless.]
[00:32]	[Owen]Katherine	sighs with relief. This isn't the end of the line, but at least it's a place to rest safely for the moment.
[00:34]	[GM]Moltar	Colonel: I didn't think I'd find you here, but for some reason I'm not surprised. What is- oh, give me a moment.
[00:34]	[Mar]Mia	recalls how many time she's had to reload now.
[00:34]	[Mar]Mia	...tch.. running low...
[00:34]	[GM]Moltar	[The Colonel quickly surveys the battlefield and barks some orders into her radio, thereafter turning back to Katherine.]
[00:34]	[Mar]Mia	Has the car started yet sir?
[00:35]	[GM]Moltar	Colonel: Well?
[00:35]	Raymond	Yeah, but the pressure's still building up!
[00:36]	[GM]Moltar	[Back where Raymond is, a voice cuts in from just outside the fray.]
[00:37]	[GM]Moltar	Voice: STOP!
[00:37]	[Mar]Mia	H-huh?
[00:38]	[Rut]Ilsa	That... it can't be...
[00:38]	Raymond	turns in an instant, dumbfounded.
[00:38]	[Owen]Katherine	catches her breath for a moment.
[00:38]	[GM]Moltar	[The demonics surrounding the car all stop in their tracks, those in the way of attacks allowing themselves to be cut down.]
[00:39]	[Owen]Katherine	"Just... trying to get out of the city, safest way possible."
[00:42]	[GM]Moltar	Colonel: So why are you here? Hardly the way out, isn't it?
[00:42]	[Owen]Katherine	steadies her breathing and chuckles.
[00:42]	[GM]Moltar	[The Colonel takes a few seconds every moment or so to give orders through the radio.]
[00:43]	[Owen]Katherine	"Hah... rest stop, I guess. I've gotten so turned around I don't even know the way out anymore."
[00:43]	[Owen]Katherine	"Can you point me in the right direction?"
[00:44]	[GM]Moltar	Colonel: When we're done here. Do you mind at all?
[00:45]	[Owen]Katherine	"No ma'am. Chain of command. Where do you need an extra pair of hands?"
[00:46]	[GM]Moltar	[A figure begins to shove its way through the demonics towards the car, but after a few seconds they all move aside to let it go through. It's a young woman in a tattered white dress with a ribbon at the neck and white boots, who begins to run towards the group once the demonics clear.]
[00:47]	[GM]Moltar	Figure: Where's Ray?! Raymond Duvall! Ray!
[00:47]	[GM]Moltar	[The Colonel points her thumb to the machine gun on the roof of her tank.]
[00:49]	[Mar]Mia	State your name.
[00:49]	[Mar]Mia	asks of the unnamed stranger.
[00:50]	Raymond	climbs out of the car, and is frozen in place upon seeing the figure.
[00:50]	Raymond	S-sis!
[00:50]	[Owen]Katherine	nods and mans the weapon. Hey... she remembers this gun!
[00:52]	[Mar]Mia	....
[00:52]	[Mar]Mia	........
[00:52]	[Mar]Mia	What.
[00:52]	[GM]Moltar	[The figure struggles past Mia and latches onto Raymond, sobbing out something about missing him a great deal.]
[00:53]	[Mar]Mia	So its your sister... huh...
[00:55]	[Owen]Katherine	makes sure to remember the mission. Get the vial OUT. Get the vial SAFE. Living... not exactly the mission, though dying still means the vial dies too.
[00:55]	[Rut]Ilsa	...
[00:55]	Raymond	There, there, Sis...
[00:55]	Raymond	pets her head a little.
[00:55]	[Mar]Mia	...where...what... I'm...so confused..
[00:56]	Raymond	, noticing something, suddenly becomes stern.
[00:56]	Raymond	...Valeria, what's going on with your eyes?
[00:56]	[Rut]Ilsa	has more than a few questions in mind, but even with her no-nonsense countenance, can't ask.
[00:57]	[GM]Moltar	Valeria: N-nothing! Nothing. Nothing...
[00:58]	[GM]Moltar	[Valeria steps back a little. The irises of her eyes are completely red, uncannily resembling those of the demonics.]
[00:59]	[Mar]Mia	Sir..
[00:59]	[Mar]Mia	Would please explain what is going on here?...
[01:03]	Raymond	...Valeria, are you one of them?
[01:06]	[GM]Moltar	[Valeria tries to cover herself with her arms, hiding her eyes from view.]
[01:06]	[GM]Moltar	Valeria: Don't shoot! Please! I'm not like the rest of them, I swear!
[01:07]	[Rut]Ilsa	certainly can't bring herself to do it. For all the "problems" with this, it's still a miracle that they're able to see each other again...
[01:08]	[Rut]Ilsa	instead looks to Mia for a reaction, utterly paralyzed by the situation. She's just... too weak...
[01:09]	[Rut]Ilsa	finds herself biting her lip.
[01:10]	[Mar]Mia	...as long as you do not attack us...
[01:10]	Raymond	stands, dumbstruck. His glasses have nearly fallen off his face, but he hasn't noticed.
[01:11]	[Rut]Ilsa	You're... the one who stopped them?...
[01:12]	[GM]Moltar	[Valeria uncurls, avoiding everyone's gaze by looking at her feet. After a moment, she nods.]
[01:15]	[Mar]Mia	... I see...
[01:15]	[Mar]Mia	What do you want to do sir?
[01:17]	[GM]Moltar	Valeria: When I was infected, I... I didn't lose my mind, or change, except for my eyes, or... anything. But they all started listening to me... and... now I control all of them, and... I... I never... n-never wanted this...
[01:17]	Raymond	thinks, an gives a deep breath as he comes to a conclusion.
[01:17]	Raymond	Valeria, call them off.
[01:19]	[Rut]Ilsa	T-then... can you stop them? All of them?
[01:19]	[GM]Moltar	Go with the others.
[01:19]	[GM]Moltar	[Valeria's voice seems to change a little when she gives an order, almost as if there's a little reverb to it. They proceed, and leave the group alone.]
[01:20]	[Mar]Mia	.....w-wait...
[01:20]	[Mar]Mia	blinks at what's unravelling before her..
[01:20]	[Mar]Mia	...you.. can control them?
[01:21]	[GM]Moltar	Valeria: I... yes. Yes, but... it's not that simple, if we want it all to end... right?
[01:21]	[Rut]Ilsa	I don't understand...
[01:23]	Raymond	pats Valeria's head, then Ilsa's shoulder.
[01:23]	Raymond	It's... alright. I don't think we have to think about that just yet.
[01:24]	Raymond	's gaze has refocused on the battle, which has wound down but is still going.
[01:24]	[Mar]Mia	nods.
[01:25]	[Mar]Mia	Sir... should your sister send them on us intentionally.. I may have to take drastic actions.
[01:26]	Raymond	nods.
[01:26]	[Mar]Mia	then turns to sister.
[01:26]	[Mar]Mia	I pray that does not come to fruition...
[01:27]	[Rut]Ilsa	Wait. Not only is she Doctor Duvall's sister, but she's been able to keep her mind intact. I don't know anything about your work, doctor, but... couldn't she be part of the cure?
[01:27]	Raymond	thinks.
[01:27]	Raymond	What do you mean?
[01:28]	[Rut]Ilsa	Something inside of her. Maybe genetics, maybe a mutation, I don't know... but -something-. We need to protect her.
[01:29]	[Rut]Ilsa	has, from the beginning, insisted on everyone's safety first and foremost. Perhaps even to the point of being blind to the bigger picture. But... could she be right?
[01:31]	Raymond	brings Valeria into a hug, nodding but saying nothing else.
[01:31]	[Mar]Mia	Very well sir...
[01:32]	[Mar]Mia	Our main concern of surviving is now up at least...
[01:33]	[Rut]Ilsa	smiles. Her sigh of relief is inaudible.
[01:37]	[GM]Moltar	[And a while later, the battle has died down. The demonics now stand around while the Colonel's troops mill about the area, clearing away the debris and the ruins of the Major's stronghold; its banners, its broken walls, its silent guns, its corpses.]
[01:40]	Raymond	walks towards the ruin, Valeria and the rest of the group close in tow.
[01:44]	[Owen]Katherine	maintains her position on the gun. Oddly, she's been instructed NOT to shoot at the demonics...? Without any explanation she's at a loss, but she can make a few guesses...
[01:46]	[GM]Moltar	Colonel: Owen, is that your troupe over there?
[01:47]	[GM]Moltar	[The Colonel points at the approaching group.]
[01:47]	[Owen]Katherine	looks "over there".
[01:47]	[Owen]Katherine	"Yes, ma'am, that's them. And... plus one, I think?"
[01:47]	[Owen]Katherine	has no clue who that raggedy girl is.
[01:48]	[Rut]Ilsa	The shooting's stopped...
[01:48]	[Rut]Ilsa	murmurs.
[01:53]	[GM]Moltar	Colonel: So. Do you need me to see them?
[01:53]	[Owen]Katherine	"With all due respect, ma'am, do YOU need you to see them?"

[01:57]	[GM]Moltar	Colonel: But you know more about that than I do. Anything I should know?
[01:57]	[Rut]Ilsa	's silence gives no hints. She waits on Raymond to decide what the Colonel does and doesn't need to know.
[01:58]	[Owen]Katherine	considers the situation. The battle seems over... Even if she's untrustworthy, the vials are still split...
[02:00]	[Owen]Katherine	"The doctor needs to be escorted out of the city, rapidly. He knows now how to fight this... contagion."
[02:00]	Raymond	, while walking with the others, comes across the Major.
[02:00]	[Owen]Katherine	"More I honestly don't know."
[02:01]	[GM]Moltar	[The Major is lying on the ground, badly injured and bleeding but still alive. His expression changes little, although he seems more distant.]
[02:01]	[GM]Moltar	Colonel: I suppose I will have to talk to him, won't I? Come along then.
[02:01]	[GM]Moltar	[The Colonel drops off her tank, loading and carrying her grenade launcher for good measure; at the same time, she gestures for Katherine to follow.]
[02:02]	[Mar]Mia	waves at the Colonel, she seems a bit joyed to see her.
[02:04]	[Owen]Katherine	"If it's all the same to you, ma'am, I'd prefer to stay in the tank."
[02:05]	[GM]Moltar	[The Colonel shrugs and moves up to the rest of the group. The Major looks up at her, then leans up very slightly to survey the remains of his base.]
[02:06]	[GM]Moltar	Major: ...The horror! ...The horror!
[02:07]	[GM]Moltar	[The Major then falls back as he ceases his struggles, slowly ceasing his movements altogether over the course of a few moments.]
[02:09]	[GM]Moltar	Colonel: Well, that's that. Would you ladies care to explain what this discovery of Duvall's is? I'm not sure he's going to be very attentive now that his sister's run into him.
[02:13]	[Mar]Mia	Ah-h- y-yes!.
[02:14]	[Mar]Mia	Turns out.. Mr.Duvall's sister can control the horde like a hivemind it seems....
[02:14]	[Mar]Mia	And... we think her along with my blood can do something about these demonics.
[02:14]	[Owen]Katherine	looks on. So THIS is the enigmatic sister? She keeps her comments to herself.
[02:17]	[Mar]Mia	A-and that's... about it ma'am.
[02:18]	[GM]Moltar	[The Colonel nods.]
[02:18]	[Rut]Ilsa	likely wouldn't have disclosed that much. Mia...
[02:23]	[GM]Moltar	Colonel: I suppose I don't need all the details now. With the end of the Major and the demonics brought to heel, I suppose we might as well have all the time in the world to find a cure. But if there is one already, then... well, what else is there? Rebuild and go back to civilization, from the very center of a destroyed city where it all seems to have gone away. But we'll make more cities, and learn to make them better. And maybe some

[02:23]	[GM]Moltar	[The Colonel chuckles and begins to walk away, waving behind her.]
[02:25]	[GM]Moltar	What a world, isn't it? Make sure to talk to the Captain before you go. If you leave everything we need and tell us what we need to know, I'll poke a hole in the red line just for you...
[02:26]	[Owen]Katherine	"Permission to speak freely, ma'am?"
[02:26]	[GM]Moltar	Colonel: Knock yourself out.
[02:26]	[Owen]Katherine	"Talk less, say more."
[02:31]	[GM]Moltar	[The Colonel nods, smiling, and then moves on to command her troops in the latest of their maneuvers.]
