- This time on Demon's Souls:
- Demon's get murdered and their souls get stolen and I fall off some cliffs.
- So I returned to the Adjudicator and this time didn't get myself cornered like a chump. I poked him in the poke spot and he fell down. Then I backed up, dodged his swing and rinse and repeat. I'll admit it took me an embarrassingly long time to realise that I wasn't blocking at all and to just two hand my halberd. Still I finished the bastard off with a stylishly landed two hand sweep. It was good.
- I moved back to 5-1 because I'd killed a good quarter or so of the mandatory bosses and needed to kill another just to get the weapon by build is supposed to be based around. I got myself down to the bottom of the crevasse and there it was. Leechmonger. One man with a big pointy stick and some flammable cleaning products against a giant pile of leeches. Where my fight with the Adjudicator had been a dance of positioning and timing, this was just a slugfest. Still my wild flailing got me the win.
- Entering into 5-2 things went well until I happened upon the plus sized goblinoid guarding the base of the ramp to my goal. I attempted to be clever and got flattened for my trouble.
- After that I did some cruising through the other areas available to me. Scooped out 2-2 and found the fast path to Flamelurker. He bopped me a couple of times. Turns out wooden shields aren't great against fire. Who knew? I also did some kicking around in 4-2. Let Patches help me get to Saint Urbain, practice fighting skeletons that sort of thing.
- Then I headed back to 5-2. I was a man on a mission. A mission to find a laser greatsword. Through poisoned waters and past giant goblins a plodded. Mosquitos were shot down, a long ramp was climbed and finally a bunch of hanging slugs was smacked. And there on the ground it was. The Large Sword of Moonlight. And it was all mine.
- I made a brief trip into 3-1 and found the polite ex-royal vendor. I then accidentally stepped into open air. The prison is not up to OHS standards I tell you. I then returned to 4-2, which thanks to both its enemies and my repeated body deaths turning the world tendency towards black was a great source of souls. Still the enemies were still giving me some trouble and after losing a good 50 THOUSAND SOULS to a couple of misplays I bit the bullet and saved up for the Evacuate miracle. Total Good And Holy And Not Demon Fueled At All We Swear Guys TM magic in hand I made my way to the end and challenged the boss of 4-2. I got stuck between his feet and the camera went nuts and I died.
- Unimpressed, I initiated proper use of two handing weapons and murdered Sorcerers and Skeletons repeatedly for their souls. Now much stronger I left things there, ready to tackle some bosses tomorrow without tiredness to slow me down.
